Waching daily May 10 2017

Often we can reduce prayer to a task, or a kind of a transaction that we make with God,

when we say God I've been pretty good, so give me this or do this for me, when prayer is supposed

to be an expression of our love for God. Prayer is supposed to be on the most natural part

of a love relationship. You know, you just want to be in conversation, you just want to speak to

the one that you love. I got to ask you is prayer about that for you?

Are you so in love with this God, that you just can't help but talk to him all the time?

mr. sharp here, welcome to my video about the

Victorinox Ranger wood 55 it will not be

a full-featured review though

but I will point out some of the history

and the features the Ranger wood 55 has

welcome first I'll do a short history

about the brand names in the Victorinox

RangerWood 55 a crisis related to

the 9/11 attacks led to the acquisition of

Wenger by its competitor Victorinox

in 2005 the brand merging took place in

2013 when Wenger and Victorinox

announced that the separate knife brands

were going to be merged into one brand

and that's of course Victorinox like

you can see here in the logo the model

55 was introduced with the initial 13

centimeter Ranger Series in 2007 the

Ranger knives are the largest Swiss Army

knives currently manufactured based on

the earlier 12 centimeter Ranger series

the Ranger wood 55 is introduced in 2012

next I will give you some specs and

features of the rangerwood 55 it

comes with a button activated liner lock

here you can see the liner lock and if

you push on the release button it pushes

the liner lock to the left which unlocks

the knife it has a whopping nine point

seven centimeter blade the back of the

knife is 2.5 millimeter thick and of

course this is a drop-point knife with a

plain edged blade this is a double cut

wood saw and it has 111 millimeters

which is really large if you compare it

with the Victorinox soldier and here

is a model a 80 millimeter model

i'll do it like this yeah it is awesome here

you can see the saw blades from large to

smaller and yeah it really has the

largest and the best saw blade it has a

full four-finger-grip thanks to the evogrip

made of the beautiful walnut wood

and it lays really really well in the

hand these are the other tools I'm not

going to talk about these two because

they're classic this is a corkscrew this is

a reamer and a punch and a sewing eye and

that's about it

my urban everyday carry 2017 is a

Victorinox pioneer and when I'm out in

the woods I was used to this soldier

knife but now since I have the rangerWood 55 this is my favorite when I'm

out in the woods if you liked this video

thumbs up or comment in the box below

print+: 3D printed DIY headphones - Ultimaker: 3D Printing Story - Duration: 2:51.

My name is Patrick. I'm a product designer and the founder of print+

print+ is a product line of do-it-yourself headphones that enables people to print their own headphones

The design of the headphone is such that, through the 3D models

and the colors you can choose for the print materials and our components, it becomes a fashion object

The components of the print+ headphone are available in 21 different colors

Together with all 3D printing materials this offers an infinite amount of possibilities

To assemble a print+ headphone, you need 2 types of parts

Those are the components that cannot be printed; the cables, speakers, and cushions

and the plastic parts that you can print yourself

The source files are made available in several file formats

so that people with different software packages can start working on them

Assembling a headphone is very straightforward, it takes you about 5 to 10 minutes

with just a little bit of tooling

The headphone is fully modular, so if the speaker breaks you can replace just the speaker

if the cable breaks you can replace that

You know exactly how the headphone is made, and if you know how it's made

and it breaks, you also know how to fix it

Another advantage is that you print the plastic components locally

which makes the headphone smaller to ship

In this way, you're shipping less material across the globe

The Ultimaker is a convenient tool that allows us to make very fast iterations

in our field as a product designer

It is very user-friendly, reliable, quick

and very flexible. You can print with a wide variety of different materials

The print+ concept would not have been possible 5 years ago, as 3D printing was still very inaccessible then

very expensive and a time-consuming process

Now, you can draw a design in the morning and in the afternoon it rolls out of your printer

Also in terms of production it's exciting that people can print their own headphones within a day

In the future, more print+ kits will become available like the headphone

Maybe a flashlight, or in the distant future perhaps a vacuum cleaner

Who knows what's going to come

3 WAYS AMERICANS ARE BEING DIVIDED TODAY - Duration: 6:03.

3 WAYS AMERICANS ARE BEING DIVIDED TODAY

BY ALEXA ERICKSONMAY

America is being divided, and its all part of the plan: the plan to program humans into

robots that fight, protest, and stir up verbal arguments. The media thrives on it creating

fake news, decrying fake news, and reporting with few facts and plenty of bias.

Critical thinking has become void. We are being told to be all-in, whether that be all-in

for Trump or all-out for Trump. Anyone with the guts to go against the grain, that is,

to take pieces of good from all sides and create a more meaningful outlook, is pushed

away with the assumption that they arent educated enough, not interested enough to

make real change to stand up for their country.

And it seems the American people agree that division exists and thrives in America. Over

the past 20-plus years, the public has perceived the nation as being more divided than united.

And its only gotten worse. In 2012, 69% of Americans believed the nation was divided.

As of 2016, that number has increased to 77%.

Blatant efforts to keep division exist in big ways.

Racism

To think that slavery was an accepted practice seems almost unfathomable given the way we

live today. To think that in the 1960s, blacks and whites were so severely divided is alarming

compared to now. But such comparisons only seem so far from each other when you think

about them in their specific contexts. On a greater level, this unrighteous division

lives on loud and clear, perhaps because it is being egged on.

For instance, in 2016, CNN clipped a statement from a black woman whose brother had been

murdered by the police. Despite the woman having actually stated that black people shouldnt

burn down their own neighbourhoods, but should go to white neighbourhoods to protest, CNN

made it seem as if she were pleading for peace.

Boycotting

Theres a good reason to stand behind or refuse to support a company based on your

ethics, be them political, social, environmental, etc., but when people are boycotting Starbucks

for offering to hire 10,000 refugees, or are boycotting Budweiser because of an immigration-themed

Super Bowl ad they believed to send an anti-Trump message, there is only more room for division,

not unity.

It seems like everyone is boycotting someone these days. Businesses cant stop taking

sides and making public statements, and the ones who lay low are getting targeted, too,

for not taking a stand. If you buy from a company or dont buy from a company, you

are accused of being a racist-fascist-leftist-Trumpist-socialist-communistthe list of social pressures and name-calling

could go on forever.

Protesting

Lets look at the recent Pepsi commercial. Though Pepsi claimed to have been trying to

project a global message of unity, peace, and understanding, the backlash was enough

to pull the ad. Featuring reality TV star Kendall Jenner, critics accused the soda giant

of appropriating a nationwide protest movement following police shootings of African Americans.

The reality of protests is nothing like what the Pepsi commercial envisioned. Though the

company was trying to relay peace, the reality is that Pepsi cant fix things. But thats

not even the point here. The point is actually that the backlash from the Pepsi commercial

is just as upsetting as the commercial itself. Why? Because it sends a message that unity

is just as wrong as division. It sends a message that no one can get it right.

Tolerance from the Left is called into question when violence is used to support a different

opinion. At the University of Florida, for instance, students started a Leftist Fight

Club that teaches people how to physically fight Trump supporters.

Just as disheartening as it is to think change can be made with a Pepsi, it is just as much

so to think that violence is the answer.

Being all-in or all-out is a social pressure that begets division. If only we could take

a deep breath and absorb more than we want to hear, how much more united could we actually

be?

F#CK IT! The Ultimate Spiritual Way - Duration: 6:17.

F#CK IT!

The

Ultimate

Spiritual Way

Fuck it is the ultimate spiritual path according to John C Parkin who after doing Eastern spiritual

practices for years realized that the modern equivalent to surrender and letting go can

be found in exclaiming Fuck It!.

He has even opened a Fuck It! retreat centre in Italy which is proving to be popular for

some intensive not giving a fuck.

As John says:

Saying Fuck It is like a massage for the mind relaxing you, releasing tension,

giving up on things that arent working.

Just starting to say Fuck It can transform your life.

Saying Fuck It feels good to stop struggling and finally do what you fancy; to ignore what

everyones telling you and go your own way. Giving up and surrendering is exactly the

method used in many spiritual techniques that are aiming at getting at something both immanent

and transcendent; it is about the only thing our minds can understand is the giving up

and relaxing with the way thing are.

Your mind cannot get there so it has to surrender all effort.

In Zen practice if your trying to get something out of your meditation your doing it wrong

and the answer to why Zen Masters meditate becomes a riddle or koan in itself.

As Zen Master Dogen says meditation is simply the expression of enlightenment it is not

a cause for enlightenment.

Saying Fuck It stops you from taking things too seriously.

I often think this is exactly what enlightenment is, every time there is someone who is angry

or suffering it seems that at the heart of their problem is taking something too seriously.

And just like the Buddhist talk about not being attached to the world and being free

from desire or caring or not giving a fuck is Nirvana.

Taking this attitude of fuck it or I dont care what happens is incredibly liberating

and stops from getting too attached to things.

This is a care free approach, relaxed, natural and light.

Not caring does not have to be devoid of love I just think it can mean not taking things

too seriously and enlightening up which allows you to be more joyful and nicer to others

because you dont really have an ulterior motive.

In Tibetan Buddhism the highest meditation practice is called no meditation.

Its still sitting on the ground silently but it is giving up all technique, giving

up all effort to get somewhere and even giving up the subtle conception that your meditating.

This is the final stage and is meant to very advanced and the Tibetan Lamas say it should

only be practised after years of preliminary meditations and study, but I say fuck it,

why not start with this non meditation meditation if its the ultimate practice?

Just sit and just say Fuck it, Ive arrived.

Saying Fuck It! is a gateway into another dimension of being.

It is the gateway into a not doing instead of a doing its an acceptance and

surrender to the present moment.

This is increasingly difficult for the modern busy person, as a French philosopher says

the cause of all peoples problems starts with not being able to sit quietly in a room

and do nothing.

This dimension of non-doing is actually interwoven with doing things, like the silence that allows

sound or the space that allows form.

The Buddhist speak of doing things but not giving a fuck about the outcome, that is giving

up attachments to results, do the act because it is kind or generous or wise in itself and

let go of expectations of reward or benefit.

Another versatile spiritual use of the word Fuck is not giving a fuck, which as

people say, is not giving two fucks about what people think of you, or not giving a

fuck about what you wear or how you appear to others or anything else that society puts

extra pressure on you for.

This can be incredibly liberating and I definitely understand Parkins when he describes this

as spiritual.

Being spiritual can come with its own set of assumptions and pressures to be a certain

way too, so not giving a fuck and just being your self is often more authentic and dare

I say spiritual than anything you can wear, eat or any workshop you can attend.

The Dalai Lama has even come close to saying fuck it when at a public talk he urged people

to listen and learn from what he teaches but if something doesnt suit you or work for

you he said to just fuget.

He meant forget it but with his thick Tibetan accent this sounded suspiciously like Fuck

It, and thats how it was even transcribed in the notes, and its how I will always

remember his words of wisdom.

If something doesnt work for you then just say fuck it!

See interesting video of meditation.
