Look!

Its Spider-Man! Spider-Man! Spider-Man! (cheering & chanting)

He seems to have come out of nowhere...

to answer the prayers of the city...

just when all hope seemed to be lost.

Peter. They're gonna kill us both.

- I'm gonna get you out of this. - Watch out!

Hey, Parker.

My God. Eddie.

My spider-sense is tingling...

if you know what I'm talking about.

We can find a way to settle this.

You're so right.

I'm thinking humiliation.

Kind of like how you humiliated me.

Do you remember?

Do you remember what you did to me?

You made me lose my girl. Now I'm gonna make you lose yours.

How's that sound, tiger?

Hold on, Mary Jane!

Mary Jane!

What is Basic Strategy and Why Does it Matter? - Duration: 4:34.

- The single most important thing you will ever learn

in playing Blackjack, or becoming a card counter,

is a system called Basic Strategy.

So what it Basic Strategy, and why do you need to know it?

I'm gonna answer that in this video.

(funky music)

The absolute foundation to beating Blackjack

is Basic Strategy.

If you don't master this, you have no chance

of beating the game.

Okay, so what is Basic Strategy?

Basic Strategy tells you exactly how to play

every possible hand in Blackjack; when to Hit,

when to Stand, when to Split, when to Double Down,

or even when to Surrender.

So, where did Basic Strategy come from and how

do we know it we can trust it?

Well, Basic Strategy was figured out like,

a long time ago, using very early computers, but

it's been revised over the years based on how

Blackjack is normally dealt today, and it's

completely run off math and computer simulations.

And we'll tell you the mathematically correct decision

for every hand you can possibly be dealt at

the Blackjack tables.

Because Basic Strategy is the statistically correct answer

for every hand you can be dealt, it's really important

that you don't just learn 80 or 90% of it.

These aren't suggestions that you can then build

your own strategy around.

These are the correct decisions to make every time.

When I say they're the mathematically correct decision,

that doesn't mean you're gonna win every hand

when you play this way.

But it means it's gonna help you in one of two ways.

The first way Basic Strategy helps you is it helps you,

at times, to win more money.

So, as an example of that, it'll tell you the correct times

to Double Down.

Doubling Down when you have the advantage is

a way to have more money on the table when you

actually have an advantageous hand.

It doesn't work out 100% of the time, but it does

work out over the long run if you follow it properly.

The second way Basic Strategy will help you is

it'll help you lose less money.

So as an example, consider a 16 against an ace.

Most players don't like hitting a 16 against an ace

because the odds are they're going to lose.

And the reality is, the odds are you are going to lose

if you hit a 16 against an ace.

But you're gonna lose less money by following

Basic Strategy and hitting a 16 against an ace,

than by ignoring Basic Strategy and Standing a

16 against an ace.

So, if you have a hand that is a negative expectation,

maybe you're gonna only lose 50 cents on average

by following Basic Strategy, rather than losing

75 cents by ignoring Basic Strategy.

So by following the math, the expectation over enough time

is that you're going to lose less money.

Okay, as far as learning Basic Strategy,

it's put together in a simple chart.

There's a link below where you can download it

and start memorizing it.

And if you commit yourself to memorizing it,

you can actually learn it fairly quickly.

And, for our members in our video course section,

we actually have a series of videos that will help you

learn it even faster by teaching you how to

memorize the patterns, and different ways of reciting it.

We also provide a Basic Strategy drill that you can use

for free on BlackjackApprenticeship.com

to start practicing playing Basic Strategy.

So, some people point out that our chart might

look a little bit different from other charts

that you could find on the internet.

And, you can trust our chart.

The reason ours might look different is we have

it based off of the most common rules that are found today

at the Blackjack tables, and some of the other charts

might be based off of rules that were more common

20 or 30 years ago.

But, don't worry about it.

Commit this chart to memory, and then if you wanna actually

beat the game, you can move on to the next steps

that'll take you to the next level.

Now, I wanna be honest with you.

Even with perfect Basic Strategy, you won't have

a winning game.

Basic Strategy cuts the casino's advantage

to roughly half of one percent, but the casino

still has a very slim advantage with perfect Basic Strategy.

To actually gain the advantage, you have to learn

how to count cards.

That will tell you, with perfect Basic Strategy,

when you have the edge, and when the casino has the edge,

and how do you use that to your advantage.

If you're interested in learning how to legally

beat Blackjack with card counting, we have a

free card counting mini course that you can

sign up for below, where I will teach you

what card counting is and isn't, how to do it,

and the biggest mistakes Blackjack players make,

and how to avoid them.

So check out the card counting mini course, and

learn how to play Blackjack like a pro.

Why being politically correct is using free speech well | Martin Amis - Duration: 3:26.

I think it's indivisible, freedom of speech: I mean, either you've got it or you haven't.

And every diminution of freedom of speech diminishes everyone and lessens the currency

of freedom of speech.

But I feel nothing but unease when it's done lightly.

It has to be earned.

The controversial statement has to be earned.

It can't just be tossed off.

You have to be able to back it up.

So I would urge civilized standards of moderation on both sides.

It has to be understood that freedom of speech isn't just a sort of decadent frippery that

we gather around us like all our other comforts and privileges.

Democracy can't work without freedom of speech.

It's an absolute cornerstone of democracy.

So we have to be very responsible about this freedom but there's no giving it up or modifying

it, even.

I would say it's an offshoot of what's solidified under political correctness, and

I'm a fan of political correctness.

No one ever says, 'Oh, I'm very politically correct,' but, in fact, it's good that we

are—not the outer fringe PC, but raising of the standards about what can be said, and

exclusion of things you could have said and got away with it 10 or 20 years ago and now

seems discordant.

And who wants to go back to being opposed to gay marriage?

The ease with which that became the orthodoxy was, I thought, tremendously encouraging,

and the idea that Donald Trump has cast off these "shackles" and we can go back to

being brutes again is a terrible prospect.

PC has been an agent for certain sort of evolutionary acceleration towards progressive ideas, and

I think that's been very good.

I mean, when I look back at my very early fiction of 40-odd years ago I'm shocked

and made uneasy by some of the liberties I took that I certainly wouldn't take now.

It doesn't interfere with the freedom of writers, political correctness—it gives

you challenges every now and then, you have to sort of work around it a bit.

But I never resent that, and I think it's self-improvement on a general scale that we've

all responded to.

What is a Lens Hood? Hands on Photo & Video DSLR Demo - Duration: 3:02.

In this WHAT Wednesday video you're going to learn what lens hoods are how to use

them properly for both photo and for video coming up

Hey you guys welcome back to Premiere Gal here I have two different types of

lens hoods I have the tulip petal flower type of lens hood which is used on zoom

lenses and here I have a cylinder tubular type of lens hood designed for

nifty 50s and telephoto lenses and the reason why there's a difference is

because it's based on focal lengths okay if I was going to have a tubular on the

zoom lens then you would start to see the lens hood in the shot okay so the

reason why photographers and videographers recommend lens hoods let's

say you're shooting in a very sunny scene by putting on a lens hood you

prevent the Sun from washing out the image so your image looks more vibrant

and the second reason why people use lens hoods is because it actually

protects the lenses so you're less likely to touch the lens or damage it

and if you're on the go you can just throw this in your bag without putting

the lens cap on and you can just go and then take it out quickly when you need

it so let's go ahead and just do some test shots here with the lens hood on

and off

so let me know if you guys use lens hood to yourself and I'll link to the ones

that I use on my cameras in the description box below and before I go I

have one last tip for you guys let's say you're packing your bag and the lens

hood makes it too long to fit in whatever compartment you're using you

can actually take it off like this and flip it around and put it into place

like so so that way you can just throw it in the bag no problem all right you

guys that's all for this video be sure to give it a thumbs up subscribe and

also hit that notification bell I'll see you guys this Friday for another Friday

effects (FX) tutorial bye

you

First American citizen is killed in World War I - 3/28/1915 - Duration: 0:50.

Today in military history, 1915.

Leon Thrasher becomes the first American citizen

to be killed in the First World War.

Thrasher, a 31-year-old mining engineer,

was aboard the British steam ship RMS Falaba

when the German U-boat U-28 launched torpedoes,

sinking the ship and killing 104 passengers,

including Thrasher.

Germany maintained that the sub's crew

had followed correct protocol

and allowed the people aboard the Falaba to abandon ship,

but Britain claimed they were only given five minutes

to help the 242 passengers and crew evacuate.

Thrasher's death caught the attention of US President

Woodrow Wilson, who sent a strong warning to Germany.

They responded with a period of restricted warfare,

but when they unleashed their U-boats

on US ships two years later,

the United States would finally enter the war.

What is Blockchain? | Decrypted Episode 2 [KOR SUB] - Duration: 3:49.

The Internet is an awesome place.

It allows us to access breaking news in seconds, stream our favorite albums, and store our pictures on the cloud.

It's influence the way we exchange information, share ideas, and experience our lives.

But here lies the problem.

We're dependent on trusted third parties that are built on the Internet

to not only make useful tools, but be responsible with them.

They might do a good job as middlemen, but sometimes they fall short.

"There is a clear vulnerability in all of these banking systems."

"70 million people now wide open.."

"Highly sensitive personal information now in the hands of hackers."

But what if there was a way to get rid of the middlemen, and exchange value the same way we do with information and ideas?

There is and it's called the blockchain.

The blockchain is a digital ledger that isn't stored somewhere internally on a single server,

but actually decentralized across an entire network.

It is a continuously growing list of records that is linked together using cryptography,

which is basically a secure computer code that adds a layer of protection for users.

Traditionally, central authorities control assets and private data in one location,

which can be an issue that leads the average person vulnerable to corruption and personal data breaches.

Blockchain is the opposite of that.

They store information across a network of public or privately owned computers that keep it up to date

by using one of the many consensus algorithms, such as proof of work or proof of stake.

While these concepts are very complex, their purpose is simple.

With no single point of control, blockchains issue rewards to participants

who actively work together to achieve a consensus on updates to the ongoing record.

This decentralizes the information and distributes it to everyone within the community.

It's open to everyone, making it more transparent for users, immutable by locking transactions and records as unchangeable,

and free from manipulation due to the large network watching over the ledger.

Most of you have heard about Bitcoin, the first successful currency application of blockchain technology.

Well, since its creation in 2008, it's grown into something everyone wants to get their hands in on.

"You know the underlying technology is here to stay so it's not going anywhere."

However, the blockchain empowers more than just digital currency.

It's a revolutionary new technology that's giving way to even more innovative ideas like smart contracts and decentralized apps.

While the Internet has provided the world with really useful resources, decentralized platforms can develop them even further.

Imagine if you could verify the credibility of a service, good, or piece of property that's listed on the blockchain,

and only execute a transaction if everything checks out.

Buying a designer handbag online or renting a spare bedroom from a stranger becomes safer and more efficient.

"This is not something that's going to impact one or two industries. It's going to affect every industry."

Blockchain technology's potential for improving our creature comforts might be promising,

but its biggest opportunity lies in its ability to benefit developing nations

because it can also ensure consumer safety, facilitate remittance payments, and improve the efficiency of government functions.

While the true impact remains to be seen,

blockchain technology can provide alternatives to the establishments we use

and develop solutions to the problems that the world has yet to solve.
