Waching daily Mar 1 2018

This is the first cake that I've ever made the recipe had 418 steps and I

really hope it tastes good cause man it took a long time. I am Kurtis Baute and

this is The Scope of Science and I have to be quiet because I'm in a library.

Genes are the recipes that make life and we have a lot of them. If you wanted to print out

all of the genetic information in an individual on paper like this, to do that

you would have to fill a lot of filing cabinets. You'd have to fill 67 cabinets.

That's all of these cabinets, because we have a lot of information in

us. We have around 20,000 genes that make proteins in our bodies. And to make that

a little more palatable I want you to pretend that instead of 'genes that make

proteins' were talking about 'recipes that make cakes' I'll explain. Just like genes,

recipes evolve - the good ones get passed on. If I make a cake and it tastes good,

and I give the recipe to my friend, and if they like the recipe they might pass

it on to their friends, and maybe somewhere along the line someone

modifies it and puts in more sugar and that recipe gets passed on even more.

They change and they evolve over time. But, if I made a recipe that tasted like

socks and I passed that on to my friend, well, I'd be mean and also my friend

probably wouldn't pass it on. So just as with recipes, if you have genes that make you

more successful (more likely to have offspring), those genes are more

likely to get passed on. My mom passed recipes onto me and she also passed her

genes on to me, roughly half of my DNA comes from my mom and from my dad and

they say roughly half because I share more DNA in common with my mom than with

my dad. It isn't a perfectly even split and a lot of things get garbled up when

they get passed on. It's a messy process but it's that messiness that makes me

different than anyone else. It makes my recipes different than

anyone else is. But those differences are really small.

Even though it takes a whole 67 cabinets to write out my entire genome

it only takes about this much, 210 pages double sided, to print out the things

that make me genetically unique. If these are all recipes then this is my special

spice. Okay so maybe by now you get the basic idea of inheritance but genetics

still seems very complicated. So in order to make it as simple as a piece of cake

I'm going to make a piece of cake with a recipe that is 418 steps. If you've ever

looked for cake recipes online you probably had to sift through a bunch of

other stuff, there's ads, a review, comments, notes, and buried in there

somewhere is the actual recipe. Our genes are a lot like that. Most of them are

actually junk and just a fraction are important instructions. But, our cake

recipe doesn't look like that, it looks like this.

The first thing you'll probably notice about this recipe is that it's only

written with four letters: A, U, C, and G. I wrote it that way because our genetic

code is also made of just four letters so here's how I fit 20 different

ingredients and 20 different measurements into those four letters. To

make this cake you read the recipe three letters at a time. Those three letters

match up with an instruction of what to do. The very first step in this recipe is

AUG. That tells me that I'm going to mix each of the following ingredients

one scoop from each. So I'm gonna cross off AUG. The second step in my recipe is

ACA, so that means I'm gonna take one scoop of soy milk. This is gonna take a

while. the third is CUA, that's all-purpose

flour. The fourth is CCG: whole wheat flour,

one scoop. AGA is white sugar. UUU: that's red wine vinegar. UUA that's

all-purpose flour, again. Brown sugar. Flour. White sugar. White sugar. Water.

Almond milk, and so on. Some of the ingredients have one code on them like

almond extract is CAU. Whereas, some of them have multiple codes on them like

vanilla extract can be GAA or GAG. But what's important is that, yes there's

redundancy, but if I see the letters GAA, that could only be vanilla extract, and

same with GAG it will only be vanilla extract. It doesn't relate to anything

else. As you can probably imagine it took me a long time to do all 418 steps, but

what's crazy is that that process is actually taking place in every single

one of your cells right now, except that instead of making cakes they're making

proteins, because remember THE CAKE IS A LIE. And your cells are actually going

through those steps way faster than I can do, they read about 20 steps every

single second. So they would go through this 418 step recipe in 21 seconds. Now

to compare, it took me two hours and that's not including baking the cake so

that's 340 times faster than I can do. I'm so

looking forward to not scooping anymore of the flour.... ooh look more flour.

UUA oh my god oh man, we did it! we did it!

Eventually I get to UAA and that tells me that I can finally stop mixing

the ingredients together and I can bake the cake. Bake the cake!

Good luck little buddy.

It looks like cake! Huh.

It's good cake! I did it!

It's actually really good. Its moist, but like in a good way. We go

from a pile of goop to a cake. This is cake! It's different than before because

it has emergent properties. There's things like baking soda, and vinegar, and

lemon juice, and those interact to change it so that it's no longer pile of goop

but - An actually pretty- I gotta say, it's pretty tasty - cake. Proteins also

have emergent properties and that's why we aren't just a pile of goop, but we're

a good cake. Metaphorically speaking. If you like this video, give it the thumbs up! And

also go and check out the video I made on how the eye evolved. I demonstrate it

by building a digital camera, and I think if you're into this kind of thing then

you'll be into that so please check it out. I'm making big metaphor videos

once a month on this channel The Scope of Science, so you can subscribe for that

and you can click on the bell to get notified whenever I put out a new video.

I only put out a video about once a month but I put the whole month into

making that video as awesome as I can so if you don't want to miss those please

just click the bell and it'll notify you. And thanks so much for watching!

Google Maps is Different in Other Countries - Duration: 6:49.

In 2010 Nicaragua invaded Costa Rica.

When asked why they'd seized territory,

they claimed it belonged to them....

On Google Maps.

Who did Costa Rica turn to first? Nicaragua? The United Nations?

No

They went straight to Google, because in the eyes of the world Google Maps has become the de facto

world map. Despite having no legal authority over international borders, Google have become the world's most powerful player.

Borders are a uniquely human concept. In most of the world the only tangible legitimacy they have is through maps.

But the cost and resources required to make a map are staggering. Until recently countries were the only ones who could afford it.

Cartography was a nationalised industry, which meant no map was without bias or influence.

Historically if you wanted to seize territory from a less powerful nation.

You just re-drew the map.

When questioned by locals, you show them the map. Ignore their claims of already living there, and hold up the only piece of real evidence that exists.

This is basically how colonialism worked.

But with more genocide.

Probably the most extreme example is Africa. In 1884, 10% of Africa was under European control.

Just 30 years later,

this had risen to 90%.

Land was negotiated from thousands of miles away and countries redrawn with little

consideration for local or cultural boundaries. Yet the map drawn then remains largely

unchanged today. Most would argue that today's map of Africa is correct. There is some objective truth to it, but 130 years ago

it was nothing of the sort. Over time the existence of a map is self legitimising.

While countries were the sole map makers it was fine if two states

disagreed over a border. Each produced their own map and their citizens would rarely have a chance to see any other version.

But as the internet arrived, nationalised mapping decreased and companies like Google started to fill the gap.

An international company creating an international map for all.

Not quite. Google still relies on the approval of nation states.

It's all too easy to censor a website. Google only have to annoy one government to lose a

country's worth of users. Any errors along the China-India border could lose them a third of the world's customers.

The region of Arunachal Pradesh borders India, China, Bhutan and Myanmar. Administrated as a state of India,

they keep a hundred thousand troops in the region.

But China also claims ownership calling it South Tibet.

Each country has laws to stop map makers drawing the border in the others favour, or even acknowledging the region's

disputed. So Google creates three different maps...

This is what two thirds of the world will see on Google Maps - the dotted line indicates disputed territory.

But if you view the area from a Chinese domain it shows it belonging to China, and part of India from an Indian domain.

No map maker previously had the ability to do this. Historically you had to pick sides.

The average Chinese or Indian citizen would be unaware of any dispute. Or at least they would have been until Google

accidentally switched the borders in 2007. This caused outrage in both countries.

Many in China were unaware that most of the world didn't recognize China's legitimacy over the region. And members of the Indian Parliament

accused Google of purposefully derailing an upcoming summit between the two nations.

There are similar disputes all along the India-China border. All are heavily militarised, with regular standoffs, backed by two of the largest

armies in the world, both with nuclear weapons.

So just in case nobody noticed the first time round, Google managed to make the same mistake again in 2009.

But the advantage of online maps is the speed they can be changed.

A mistake of that magnitude 20 years ago would have taken years to correct instead of hours.

Google can react to geo-political events quicker than any other map maker. When Russian troops arrived in Crimea in February

2014, it was less than a month till Google showed the territory as disputed.

This was despite the United Nations asking nobody....

Google Maps in Russia shows Crimea as Russian territory, and Ukrainian when viewed from Ukraine.

The fact that Google are willing to ignore

UN resolutions is a big deal. Countries do all the time, they protect their own interests and alliances above other nations.

But Google is a company who now has the power and influence of a state.

They're big enough to survive any confrontation with the UN and probably see Russia as the worse enemy to make.

The UN moves slowly. The United Nations

Regional Cartographic Conference, only meets every three or four years. Google have to make border and naming decisions daily. Those decisions may not have any legal

weight, but everyone uses Google Maps so in reality

they're the most important. When South Sudan became a country in

2011, the vote didn't specify the exact placement of the border. Leaving some towns and villages

unsure whether they would be in Sudan or South Sudan. Each country naturally claimed ownership,

but no official map would be made for a while. It was left to Google to organize South Sudan community mapping events. They encouraged local

people to create detailed maps of an area that was

lacking any accurate data. And through a semi-democratic process, an almost-precise border was decided. There are still

contested areas today, and not without their bloodshed.

But Google did more to help local territorial disputes than the UN or any state.

This isn't the only example of Google using local input as the basis for their maps.

They publish a program called Google Map Maker, this allows anyone to make changes in suggestions.

This is useful for new roads and public footpaths, but also helps Google decide what to call things.

It's strictly moderated and Google have final say over the public version, but like Wikipedia things inevitably slip through the cracks...

For obvious reasons you can't edit the border of a country. There are hundreds of disputes in the world - imagine the chaos.

So Google don't get involved with most of them.

But here and there throughout the world map, it does change slightly based on where you're stood. This may not necessarily be a bad thing.

Historically the larger power would just stamp out the smaller one.

But with Google Maps as the unofficial-official adjudicator,

borders could remain disputed forever. Both sides constantly pointing guns at the other

but rarely firing. Is a long cold war better than a short hot one?

That's a philosophical question best left for the comments. But for better

or worse Google are making editorial decisions on something most people view as an objective truth.

No political map can ever be a hundred percent accurate in the scientific sense of the word. At best they can be a diplomatic

compromise, and at worse they can be a propaganda tool. Maps (and especially Google Maps) are amazing,

but they should be treated it like any other media.

They are subject to the motives and influences of the humans that made them.

cancers?

And it is indeed an option, but there are specific tests that we need to do to confirm

if immunotherapy would be of value.

Something called microsatellite instability, or patients who have hereditary Lynch syndrome,

or hereditary familiar cancers, they may benefit from immunotherapy.

I was more motivated for life than I had ever been before,

I was experiencing happiness for the first time in my life,

Because in this society,

being happy and excited to learn new things is a clear sign of mental illness

I am now 23 years old.

Is there a blood test for colorectal cancer? - Dr. Brian Lacy - Duration: 0:45.

Today's question is, "Is there a blood test to screen for colon cancer?" The goal

of a screening test is to assess the likelihood of having a disease in an

asymptomatic population. This means that the group of people who are having the

test do not have any symptoms of the particular disorder the test is trying

to identify. With this in mind a blood test to screen for colon cancer seems

ideal, as blood tests are safe, easy to perform, readily available, and generally

not very expensive. However, despite extensive research in

this area, no blood test is yet available to identify colon cancer. Researchers at

Mayo Clinic and other research institutions worldwide are working on

this problem, so stay tuned! We may have good news in the near future.

Stan Lee's longtime manager is fired over honeytrap claims | news 24h - Duration: 24:36.

EXCLUSIVE: Stan Lee fires manager and his nurse who gave him naked showers over 'plot to estrange him from his daughter and sole heir' as cops probe missing millions and he battles pneumonia

Comic book legend Stan Lee fired his road manager after a blazing row in which the felon threatened Lees daughter, DailyMail.

Max Anderson, who has also been Lees long-term bodyguard, was fired along with the stars nurse Linda Sanchez, who was already under investigation by Adult Protective Services and who admitted giving Lee naked showers.

The two are alleged to have been involved in a plot to drive a wedge between Stan and his sole heir, his daughter JC Lee, DailyMail.

Anderson, 52, has been banned from Lees home and there are claims that several further police reports have been made against him. Cops are also probing $1.4 million missing from Lees accounts.

DailyMail. com can also reveal that another nurse employed to help Lee has told police how she was approached by Anderson, threatened and offered a $50,000 cash bribe to make false claims against JC Lee and one of her associates.

Lee disclosed Wednesday that he has pneumonia in a video message to fans revealed by TMZ in which he said: I want you all to know I'm thinking of you, of course I always think of the fans, and I hope you're all doing well, and I miss you all.

Sole heir: JC Lee, Stan Lees only daughter, was involved in a row at her fathers home with Max Anderson, his manager, which led to cops being called and Anderson being fired, DailyMail.

Also let go: Nurse Linda Sanchez, who was seen holding Lees hand at a comic con in Glendale, Arizona, in January, was fired too.

She admits she would give Lee naked showers and is also accused in a report to Los Angeles Adult Protective Services of giving happy ending massages.

Formerly close: Max Anderson had been at Lees side for many years and accompanied him to dozens of comic convention events. But he is alleged to have been driving a wedge between Lee and his daughter .

Meanwhile Sanchez, an assistant nurse who has been missing for several days, has been let go by her nursing agency.

A complaint submitted to the Los Angeles County Adult Protective Services (APS), seen by DailyMail. com, accuses Sanchez of conspiring with Anderson to influence Lee. It also accuses her of offering massages with happy endings and washing Lee naked in the shower.

Separately, police are investigating how large sums have disappeared from Lees accounts and are going through his financial statements to account for up to $1.4 million. The development was first reported by TMZ.

Anderson was fired after filmmaker Keya Morgan, an old friend and partner of Lee, called police to report that the manager was being aggressive towards the stars daughter at Lees West Hollywood home on February 15.

com: Stan Lees daughter was upset and crying and felt very scared of Max and asked me for help.

She called me and I immediately rushed over to the house and called 911. The police arrived soon after I got there and removed Max from the house..

Its understood JC, 67, and Max were rowing in front of Stan before Max became threatening and intimidating.

DailyMail. com revealed that several police officers and members of Adult Protective Services attended the home to investigate allegations of battery and separate allegations of elder abuse.

In our exclusive photos Anderson was seen outside the property, after being asked to leave, talking with Lees former lawyer Tom Lallas and police officers.

Stan has told police he fears for his life when it comes to Anderson and the former road manager has been instructed never to return to Lees house.

Lee has also parted ways with attorney Lallas and brought in a new lawyer, Ron Rale, who once represented Anna Nicole Smith. When contacted, Rale said he did not want to comment other than to say his goal is to protect Stan.

DailyMail. com has obtained a notarized copy of a letter sent by Lee to Lallas telling him of his wish to change lawyers, asking him to stop doing any further work for him and make his files available to Rale.

But, bizarrely, Lallas insists he still represents Lee. When asked if his services had been terminated, he told DailyMail.com: No, that is not true. In our view Ron Rale has no authority to act on behalf of Stan Lee..

He added: If you publish something that ruins my reputation thats false. Ill sue you to the end of the earth and I will collect every asset that you have ever owned..

Law enforcement: Exclusive DailyMail.com photographs showed how police were called to Lees Los Angeles home over the row Max Anderson (left) had with JC.

The row came amid claims Anderson and nurse Linda Sanchez - with whom Stan was said to have been infatuated - were plotting to estrange him from his daughter.

Infatuation: Stan Lee, 95, is said to have become too close to 67 years younger Linda Sanchez, who admitted showering him naked. She was accused of dressing provocatively and spending time in his room with the door locked  .

com has learned that Sanchez, 28, quickly became Lees favorite carer when she started working with him last summer and the star lavished her with gifts and jetted her around the world - while she was accused of happy ending massages.

Travel: In exclusive photos Sanchez was spotted leaving the Ace comic-con event in Glendale, Arizona, where she joined Lee on January 13 and 14. But this month she and Max Anderson, his manager, were fired.

JC Lees personal attorney, Kirk Edward Schenck, refused to comment or make statements on the allegations against Anderson, citing client confidentiality and witness safety issues.

Anderson has been Lees right hand man for years and acted as his road manager at comic book conventions, often seen in photo shoots alongside Lee. He accompanied Lee to as many 15 comiccon events a year.

Lees team is now taking a closer look at Andersons involvement with Lees business interests, especially his involvement with Lees lucrative comic con appearances and handling of memorabilia.

Anderson - real name Mac Anderson - has a reputation for violence and intimidating behavior and also has a serious criminal past.

According to court records in Riverside, California he has a 2002 felony conviction for beating up and injuring his wife, for which he was jailed for 365 days in jail and 36 months probation.

Then in 2010, according to court records, he was found guilty of beating his son with a belt, putting him in a choke hold and slamming him on the floor.

The boy went to school with his arm in a sling which raised the alarm with teachers. For that crime he was sentenced to 36 months probation, a fine and anger management and parenting classes.

Another aspect now under the spotlight is Andersons close relationship with Sanchez.

DailyMail. com has learned that the 28-year-old assistant nurse quickly became Lees favorite carer when she started working with him last summer and the star lavished her with gifts and jetted her around the world.

The widower, who lost his wife Joan in July last year, became extremely close to the attractive brunette, sources said. She is 67 years his junior.

She also became close to Anderson and the trio traveled to Australia, China, including Hong Kong and to several US states for comic con events.

In exclusive photos Sanchez, dressed in a revealing designer dress - not a nurses uniform - was spotted holding Lees hand at the Ace comic-con event in Glendale, Arizona in January.

The nurse, wearing heavy makeup, accompanied Lee to the two day event and hardly left his side. Lee joined Captain America star Chris Evans and Spider-Man actor Tom Holland at the Ace comic-con on January 13 and 14.

Investigation: Los Angeles County Adult Protective Services  are investigating whether Sanchez (left, with Lee and another nurse) behaved inappropriately and whether there was an attempt to influence Lee, 95 .

Scene: Lees home has now become the venue for a series of dramas and allegations of elder abuse and sexual misconduct. The widower is worth $50 million .

Casual: Linda Sanchez was working for two successive nursing companies but was never seen in nurse scrubs when she attended his events or stood by his side.

Felon: Max Anderson - real name Mac Anderson - has a reputation for violence and intimidating behavior and also has a serious criminal past.

Prior to the firing Anderson, Lee and Sanchez traveled to Australia, China, including Hong Kong and to several US states for comic con events. Anderson an Lee are pictured above in July at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX in Hollywood.

Sanchez and Anderson, who was also on the trip, were seen together in the audience as Lee was interviewed on stage.

The group stayed at the luxury Palomar hotel in the center of Phoenix and DailyMail. com photographed Sanchez holding Lees hand as he left the convention riding a mobility scooter.

On the final day Sanchez was seen sitting next to Lee and across from Anderson on a private jet back to LA.

Now with her departure from Lees side and the firing of manager Anderson, questions surrounding their influence over the elderly Marvel legend have been raised.

DailyMail. com has learned Sanchez was investigated by the nursing agency that first employed her at Lees house after it was discovered her relationship with the elderly star had crossed a line and was not appropriate.

It is also understood a formal complaint of elder abuse has since been lodged with LA Countys Adult Protective Services (APS) who are investigating the allegations.

Shes a tall, attractive girl and was very flirtatious and Stan loved every minute of it, he fell in love with her. She never wore nurses scrubs, instead she wore tight fitting, revealing outfits and lots of makeup, which pleased Stan.

Stan and Linda were heard giggling in his locked bedroom and she would help him wash in the shower, it made others in the house uncomfortable. Sanchez was reported for undue influence - a form of elder abuse, according to the complaint.

DailyMail. com has been told by sources that the report details how multiple people made complaints about Sanchezs behavior with Lee.

They alleged she was overly affectionate, inappropriately dressed and was seen kissing him romantically on the lips on more than one occasion. The allegations also include that she gave him massages with happy endings, the report says.

The report also accuses Sanchez of conspiring with Anderson to influence Lee. Lees former attorney, Tom Lallas, told DailyMail. com prior to the police incident that claims Lee had any kind of relationship with his nurse were false.

Ms. Linda Sanchez renders professional nursing services to and for the benefit of Mr Lee as necessary and appropriate, he said. Except that Mr Lee is a nursing patient of Ms. Sanchez, Mr Lee has no other relationship with her, he said.

When DailyMail.com put the allegations to Sanchez, also prior to the police incident, she denied the relationship was sexual and had crossed a line, saying: No, absolutely not. Never has been, never will be.

I respect him and he respects me as well and everyone else who has worked here.. Sanchez conceded she does wash Lee naked in the shower for hygiene reasons but says there is no inappropriate physical contact.

When asked about photos of her holding her clients hand while leaving a comiccon in Arizona, the assistant nurse was quick to insist she was simply checking his pulse.

And as for dressing sexily in her clients presence, Sanchez denied ever showing her cleavage at work, even though our photos suggest otherwise.

I dont do cleavage. Showing sexy stuff is not really my style, I like long sleeves, turtle necks and sweaters, she said.

Since police attended Lees home, Sanchez has not been seen by the nursing agency she works for and her bosses have been unable to contact her. Calls to her cell phone by DailyMail. com have not been answered or returned.

The allegations are the latest twist in Lees nursing care.

Widower: Stan Lee, who lost his wife Joan (pictured) in July last year, became extremely close with Linda Sanchez after she was hired - but that is now being investigated by adult protective services.

The situation came to a head when Anderson called police to report Lees daughter, JC Lee, and an associate, for elder abuse and battery last week .

Fortune: Stan Lee is the former president and chairman of Marvel and co-created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, the X-Men, The Incredible Hulk among many other beloved comic book heroes.

Hes pictured above with actor Chadwick Boseman at the premiere of Black Panther in January.

com revealed, he had been accused by workers from a previous nursing agency of repeatedly groping and harassing a string of young female nurses employed to care for him.

DailyMail. com has not named that agency to protect the anonymity of its workers, who are alleged to be sex attack victims.

However, Sanchez started working for Lee while an employee of the agency, and when its management terminated its relationship with him, she moved to the new company brought in to care for Lee.  A source told DailyMail.

com: After all the complaints last year the owner of the nursing agency tried to have Linda removed from Stans case and even tried to get a doctors order to ensure he got a higher level of care, but she was met with a lot of resistance by Stan and his manager Max Anderson.

Stan only wanted Linda, he wanted her hours increased not reduced. He had become smitten with her..

Amid several other complaints, this time about Lees alleged behavior towards the other nurses caring for him, the nursing agency decided to electively terminate the contract they had with the comic book legend.

, run by Julie Wozniak, provides nurses round the clock, seven days a week for Lee. When contacted by DailyMail. com before the police incident Wozniak denied Sanchez had any kind of inappropriate relationship with Lee.

She has not returned calls in recent days to confirm whether Sanchez is still on her books. But its understood Sanchez has not reported in to work for several days and has not told her employer whether she intends to return.

The source is in no doubt that Sanchez was taking advantage of Lee. As soon as Linda started working as a nurse for Stan she set out to get in his good graces, the source said.

Shes a tall, attractive girl and was very flirtatious and Stan loved every minute of it, he fell in love with her.

Stan and Linda were heard giggling in his locked bedroom and she would help him wash in the shower, it made others in the house uncomfortable. She also became close to Max and that cemented her role in the house.

The "Woofie" and Why U.S. Business Expansion to China is So Difficult - Duration: 1:47.

I work on the client services team at Globalization Partners.

Today I want to talk to you about expanding a business into China.

China is the most populous country in the world.

It is home to the second-largest economy.

But there are major hurdles to getting into China.

For starters, companies must set up their own branch or subsidiary.

In China, this is called a "woofie."

It takes up to one year and is a major headache.

It also takes capitalization well into 6 figures and must be deposited in a local currency

in China.

But there's a bigger problem.

Let's say you wanted to get out of your "woofie."

There is a long list of complicated steps that you would have to take to shut down operations

legally.

Failure to comply could result in being blacklisted for three years.

If your woofie owes taxes, fees, or salaries the company directors could be criminally

prosecuted.

This is where the Global PEO model can help.

Globalization Partners helps companies expand internationally without having to establish

a subsidiary in country by putting your employees on our payroll and assigning them 100% back

to you.

So we can help you test the market in China before you are ready to commit to a heavyweight

solution of a woofie.

If you're interesting in expanding into China, please visit our website, give us a call,

or drop us an email today.

HCM integration is evolving. Are you ready? - Duration: 3:38.

HR, payroll, talent, benefits, time. Your Human Capital Management Systems are migrating to the cloud,

but the challenge of integrating these separate global HCM data sources, still falls on you.

This disconnect in the clouds could be holding back your business more than you realize.

Every pay cycle, some of the local data you need to deliver accurate and on time payroll is missing or invalid.

So your team has to spend time tracking down and troubling employees to plug the gaps.

When your ecosystem of solutions can't communicate, it's up to you to make the connection.

Often requiring an export file from one cloud to be formatted to the exact specifications of another.

This takes technical know-how and time, though, so your HR team is at the mercy of IT support availability or resort to manual workarounds.

This manually capturing and keying data stresses your team.

It also makes payroll errors more likely. Putting you at risk of hefty noncompliance fines and dissatisfied employees.

Plus, as individuals collect and key the missing data needed for local payroll, you have no oversight of the process, and

none of the answers auditors will want.

Your ability to provide audit insight goes out the door.

As bits and pieces of your data sit scrambled across the cloud and in emails and spreadsheets, you simply don't have consolidated data you can trust.

If lack of integration is hampering your HR operations, how is it affecting your colleagues in IT?

Your developers squander countless hours coding custom files that will enable one HCM system to talk to the next.

As teams across the globe add new solutions to your HCM ecosystem, the interfaces and IT resources needed to build and service them, multiply quickly.

Along the way, you're scrambling to build in data privacy and security controls to the custom solution you're supporting.

All while you're expected to keep up with changing HR and payroll compliance requirements in every country where your company operates.

You're left wondering when fully integrating HCM systems will become your business' top priority.

As a finance leader, you're worried about the resources it takes to build and maintain the hundreds of HCM integration files your company manages each month.

Costs that get harder and harder to quantify, as undependable data from different sources, compromises your financial analysis.

If only you could query the data from any one of your global cloud HCM systems and know that it's clean, complete, and ready for the analysis you will stake your reputation on.

Disconnected global HCM data is putting your business at risk.

Imagine the advantage you would have, armed with a tool the gives you the accurate and integrated global data you need, to take better business decisions across every region.
