Voter turnout for Korea's presidential election expected to reach 80% - Duration: 0:52.

Voter turnout for Korea's presidential election could veer into the 80-percent range.

A National Election Commission official says surveys show a majority of eligible voters

are eager to cast their votes.

Also, the turnout rate during two days of early voting last week reached a record 26-point-one

percent.

If voter turnout surpasses 80 percent, it will be a first since the 15th presidential

election in 1997.

Since then, voter turnout for presidential elections has lingered in the 70s or lower.

The results of Korea's presidential election will likely be determined by 10 a.m. on Wednesday

at the latest, but early vote counts are expected by 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Presidential candidates decide on final destinations for last day of campaigning - Duration: 2:12.

It's been the shortest and arguably one of the most intense campaign periods in Korea's

election history.

For a rundown of where the main candidates will wrap things up today, on the eve of the

big election,... we turn to our Oh Soo-young.

Korea's presidential candidates have just one day left to try and win over undecided

voters.

As part of his itinerary on Monday, liberal frontrunner Moon Jae-in of the Democratic

Party of Korea will head to Gwanghwamun Square in downtown Seoul -- the place where millions

of Korean citizens rallied starting last autumn to demand the resignation and impeachment

of former President Park Geun-hye.

"Moon will show his determination to become a president who communicates with the people

and embodies the spirit of Gwanghwamun Square, as promised in his campaign."

Later in the day, Moon will hold the finale of his campaign in the populous district of

Gangnam.

Conservative candidate Hong Joon-pyo plans to wrap up his campaign in Hongdae, a trendy

university district in western Seoul.

As he makes his way up from the southernmost city of Busan and through the central cities

of Daegu and Daejeon,... he'll be calling on voters to prevent a leftist takeover of

the government.

Meanwhile, centrist candidate Ahn Cheol-soo's final day of campaigning will end in the city

of Daejon.

"Daejeon is where the People's Party was established, and also where Ahn was confirmed as a candidate

in the race.

So it signifies his determined spirit and the unity of the people.

Daejeon is also the hub of science and technology, so it shows Ahn's commitment to preparing

Korea for the 4th Industrial revolution."

The conservative Bareun Party's Yoo Seong-min plans to hit Seoul's shopping district of

Myeong-dong on Monday.

"Myeong-dong is in the center of Seoul.

It's like the heart of the nation.

So campaigning there would show Yoo's aspiration to lead the Korean people into a miraculous

future."

Sim Sang-jung of the progressive Justice Party will also convey a message of new hope for

Korea.

"Sim will send out her message that the Justice Party's policies and vision,... encompassing

the voice of the Korean people,... can generate hope for the nation and its future."

Her last campaign will be held in Sinchon, a town in Seoul that's crowded with young

people.

Top liberal candidates busy campaigning in last days before election - Duration: 1:52.

In eighteen hours from now,... thousands of polling stations will open across Korea for

the country's 19th presidential election.

Moon Jae-in,... the hot favorite to win the presidency, crisscrossed the nation on the

last weekend of the campaign.

The Democratic Party presidential hopeful had tailor-made policy pledges for every city

he visited.

His liberal rival Ahn Cheol-soo also hit the streets,.. livestreaming his activities as

he went.

Kim Hyun-bin reports.

Democratic Party of Korea presidential hopeful Moon Jae-in is on the move to persuade last-minute

swing voters in the country to vote for him for a change of government.

Moon emphasized that he has been in politics since the time of former liberal President

Noh Moo-hyun, stressing his qualifications to successfully lead this nation.

For his last weekend rally, Moon visited Chungju in Chungcheongbuk-do Province,... where he

promised a set of measures to revive the region.

"Again, the presidential hopeful had targeted policy pledges for Chungju.

He vowed to revamp the local economy by speeding up infrastructure development and building

a bio industry hub in the nation's central region."

""To revive this region we need to enhance our transportation.

I will improve the local airports and build an expressway in the area.

I also plan to build a bio-industry hub to revive the region."

Moon wrapped up the day in Gwangju Jeollanam-do province, a liberal stronghold, promising

to reunite the nation and open a new era of democracy if he is elected president.

People's Party candidate Ahn Cheol-soo was also busy on the trail but targeted voters

in the capital.

Ahn walked through key areas of the capital while livestreaming his campaign on Facebook.

Ahn is scheduled to visit hot spots including Gangnam Station, and Hongdae -- a neighborhood

close to several universities -- in the hope of winning the votes of the nation's young

people.

Produce 101 Ha Minho kicked off the show for secretly asking fan to kiss him - Duration: 5:37.

Produce 101 Ha Minho kicked off the show for secretly asking fan to kiss him

While Ha Min Ho, a popular contestant on Mnet's Produce 101 season 2 was under fire for his use of social media to flirt with his fans. New reports have confirmed that he has stepped down from the show and his contract with his company has been terminated.

While Ha Min Ho, a popular contestant on Mnet's Produce 101 season 2 was under fire for his use of social media to flirt with his fans.

New reports have confirmed that he has stepped down from the show and his contract with his company has been terminated.

Recently, many screenshots were uploaded to various online community sites in Korea claiming that these were screenshots of conversations between Ha Minho and his fans on Instagram and Facebook.

Mnet's Produce 101 enforces a rule that prohibits their contestants from interacting with their fans via social media, whether it be through direct messaging or in the form of posts.

Another contestant Daniel Kang was recently under fire for communicating with his fans and hinting at what song he wanted to perform in the preliminary rounds through his Instagram profile description. He is currently under review by Mnet.

The screenshots of the alleged conversations between Ha Min Ho and his fans broke these rules, as he often directly messaged his fans with officious questions, such as where they lived and what time they finished tutoring.

"Ha Min Ho: Well, what's your schedule like? Fan: Um I should be free until 10 o'clock Ha Min Ho: Where do you live? Fan: (censored) Ha Min Ho: Do you live in an apartment? Fan: Yep Ha Min Ho: Which apartments? Fan: (censored) apartments.

!"  .

"Ha Min Ho: Yeah you absolutely can't do that, it's really important. What's the earliest time you finish hakwon (tutoring academy)? Fan: 8 o'clock! ㅎㅎ Ha Min Ho: Argh. Well contact me when you're finished Fan: Ok  .

"Ha Min Ho: Can't you skip hakwonㅜ? Make up an excuse Ha Min Ho: Can you arrive at 8 o'clock sharp?".

Other times, he also appeared to be flirting with some of the fans calling him 'oppa', which poses a larger issue as it implies that they may be minors.

He had even hinted towards inviting a fan over to his house, and also appeared to be jealous of a fan who hung out with another guy.

"Ha Min Ho: No you should be able to go!! Fighting fighting Fan: ㅠㅠ You too, oppa. What are you doing today? Ha Min Ho: Today I'm resting at home and working at night.

I want to call someone over to my house. I wonder if there's anyone willing to come.".

"Ha Min Ho: I'll contact you around 5 o'clock so decide then Fan: Alright.

Ha Min Ho: Hm why's your response like that Fan: I feel bad because I don't think I'll be able to go ㅠㅠ Ha Min Ho: Don't be sorry about those things Fan: Alright, what should I do if I can't go tomorrow Ha Min Ho: What are you doing with a guy? Fan: What? ㅎㅎ…Um I'm not sure~,? Ha Min Ho: Do you really not know or are you just sayingㅡㅡ Fan: I don't know~ Ha Min Ho: ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Fine.

Even if I don't use my strength, please allow it. If you do I wouldn't have any other wishes. Promise me. I'll treat you as carefully as something expensive. Fan: You're good at talking.

Ha Min Ho: That's how you catch someone who's beautiful Fan: There should be beautiful people all around you Ha Min Ho: I held your hand because you asked me too, what's the worst that could happen if you let me kiss you? What does it matter if there are beautiful people around me? Fan: But I'm really not pretty, I'm really weird".

Ha Minho also made sure to ask his fans not to tell anyone that he was personally interacting with them.

Furthermore, he often steered the conversation towards the possibility of meeting his fans, but always came up with reasons as to why he ultimately wouldn't be able to.

"Ha Minho: Oh, also, make sure you keep our DM's a secret even to your friends. From now on!!! Fan: Ok. Including the friend I was with before?".

"Ha Min Ho: I'm not doing anything. Are you going to come? Fan: Should I go? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ But what are we going to do when we meet Ha Min Ho: Um it's a bit dangerous because I'm at home.

If you don't want that, then it might be better for you not to come out! Fan: Well then going to your house is a bit odd.

Can't we meet outside later?? Ha Min Ho: Hmm, if we personally meet outside, we'll get caught. Yesterday, Dojoon and Seonjae (censored)".

"Ha Minho: You can't arrive at 8 o'clock today right? And did you tell your friend that you're DMing me? Fan: No I haven't".

After the controversy spread online, his agency, The Vibe Label has since released a statement which revealed that Ha Minho has stepped down and has been removed from the agency. The full translation of the statement can be found below.

Hello, this is The Vibe Label. We would like to make an official statement regarding the contestant on Produce 101, Ha Min Ho.

We would like to first and foremost, apologize to all who cheered for him on Produce 101 and also to the other trainees who were on the show with him.

We would also like to apologize to all those who were hurt by his actions.

After this incident we underwent extensive discussions with Ha Min Ho and decided that he would step down from Produce 101 Season 2 and also terminate his contract with the company.

Ha Min Ho is very deeply apologetic about having caused such a controversy as a trainee and the fact that he had changed his SNS account names to Yoo Sun Ho wasn't in order to frame the CUBE trainee but the result of a practical joke among his friends.

We at The Vibe Label will do our best to never let such incidents happen and take better care of our remaining trainees (Kim Taedong and Sung Hyunwoo) and once again apologize to all those who were hurt by us.

Thank you. – The Vibe Label. Source: Dispatch, Star News.

U.S., N. Korea set to hold talks as regime's U.S. expert leaves for Europe: TV Asahi - Duration: 1:26.

The United States and North Korea are reportedly scheduled to meet for unofficial talks in

Europe.

There's hope the so-called "track one-point-five dialogue" could lead to official talks under

the Trump administration's policy of maximum pressure and engagement with Pyongyang.

Kim Hyo-sun reports.

North Korean officials and U.S. experts on the regime are reportedly getting ready to

hold talks in Europe amid heightened tensions resulting from North Korea's nuclear and missile

threats.

Japan's TV Asahi reports that Choe Son-hui, who is in charge of U.S. affairs at the North

Korean Foreign Ministry,... left for Europe via Beijing on Sunday.

It looks like the U.S. is resuming its so-called track one-point-five dialogue,... which involves

figures from both the government and the private sector from Washington and Pyongyang.

Choe last sat down with former U.S. officials in Berlin and Geneva in early 2016.

TV Asahi forecasts that the talks could cover security, including Pyongyang's nuclear issue

to future U.S.-North Korea relations.

The Trump administration has settled on its North Korea strategy of maximum pressure and

engagement,... and hinted it will open the door to dialogue while intensifying economic

sanctions and diplomatic pressure.

However,... watchers say that,... even when Washington and Pyongyang sit down for such

unofficial talks,... the two would just be exchanging opinions instead of engaging in

real negotiations.

Korea's acting president calls for all-out efforts to contain forest fire - Duration: 0:50.

Korea's Acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn has urged government officials to mobilize all

personnel and equipment to contain the fires.

Here's what he said at Monday's ministerial meeting.

"The government will promptly provide support and emergency relief to areas affected by

forest fires."

He asked the Ministry of Public Safety and Security to designate fire-stricken areas

as special disaster zones so local governments can get subsidies for fire relief efforts.

The fire in Sangju has been contained, but the fires in Gangneung and Samcheok on the

eastern coast are still raging.

N. Korea detains fourth U.S. citizen - Duration: 2:03.

North Korea has detained another U.S. citizen,... bringing the total number of Americans held

by the regime to four.

According to the regime's state media, Kim Hak-song, who worked for the Pyongyang University

of Science and Technology, is being held on suspicion of "hostile acts."

Kwon Jang-ho has the details.

In a short, surprise statement on Sunday, Pyongyang's state media outlet revealed that

another U.S. citizen has been detained.

The Korean Central News Agency said that Kim Hak-song was arrested on Saturday for carrying

out suspected "hostile acts" but no further details have been given.

The report said he was working at the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology, which

the institution confirmed on Monday.

He was said to be visiting for several weeks to do agricultural development work at the

university's experimental farm.

A U.S. State Department official said Sunday that Washington is aware of Kim's reported

arrest and, because the U.S. does not have a diplomatic mission in Pyongyang, it will

work through the Swedish Embassy to look into the matter.

Kim is the second U.S. citizen and university employee to be detained in recent weeks.

Last Wednesday, the KCNA also disclosed that Professor Kim Sang-dok, also known as Tony

Kim, was arrested in April for "criminal acts of hostility" aimed at overthrowing the regime.

So far there is no evidence to suggest that the two arrests are connected.

That leaves a total of four U.S. citizens who are currently being held by Pyongyang.

The other two include Otto Warmbier, a student who was arrested for attempting to steal a

propaganda poster in January 2016, and Kim Dong-chul, a businessman who was arrested

in October 2015 for allegedly trying to steal military secrets for South Korea.

They are suspected to have signed a forced confession and are currently serving 15 and

10 years of hard labor, respectively.

Three South Koreans and one Canadian citizen are also being held by the regime.

Chicago Justice - For the Greater Good (Episode Highlight) - Duration: 3:59.

Well, this one sure gives you a lot to think about.

- No, it doesn't.

Your client is the worst kinda guilty.

- Whatever he may seem to us, he is a servant of the law,

and therefore beyond human judgment.

It's from my kid, Mr. Smarty-Ass college boy.

He left his portable Kafka behind the toilet.

I figured I'd give it a whirl.

- That thinking may work in absurdist novels,

but not in real life. - I don't know, Peter.

That Kafka, he's one smart dude.

When you think about it, you and me--

we do our dances in the courtroom.

But that's all it is.

We dance around the law.

But Banks, he puts on a badge and a gun out on the street,

and he lives, maybe dies by it.

- So he can kill with impunity?

- No, of course not.

But this--this broken system that we dance around with,

I'm not so sure that it's prepared to judge him.

That's why I'm putting him on the stand tomorrow.

I gotta get home.

- I heard how Stevie-- Detective Kim--testified.

The fact is he's colored the picture to his benefit.

- Oh, please, explain.

- I've lived in the same apartment on the South Side

since I joined the force.

I drive a Corolla.

Stephen's got a BMW.

He's the one who wanted the money.

He was the lead detective in every case.

I just went along for the ride.

- And why did you do that?

- I've been doing this job for almost 30 years.

I've learned who's who and what's what.

I look at a guy for a second, I know he's garbage.

And these people we kill,

they shoot you as soon as look at you.

City's been paying me for 30 years

to protect its citizens.

And the people we shot--[chuckles]--

drug dealers, junkies,

killers themselves.

Sooner or later, we'd have to deal with them anyway.

- Understood.

- So this was all for the greater good?

- It's my job to do things other people won't or can't do

for the greater good.

- It's interesting that you say it was your job,

Detective Banks.

Did the city pay you to do it? - In a way, yes.

It's my job to get the bad guys off the street.

- The junkies, the dealers, and the killers?

- Look, I know where you're going, Mr. Stone.

Were these shootings related to ongoing investigations?

No, they were not.

But the thing is a good cop never stops being a cop.

- Right. You see bad, you stop it.

It's your job. - That's right.

- Right. You can't help it.

So the $80,000

that you and your partner took from Jerome Creary?

What was that? Was that a tip?

- Objection. - Withdrawn.

- What was Eric Cates?

Was he a dealer, a junkie, or a murderer?

- He did business with Creary, a gang leader.

- So you just assumed he was a--

what did you call it?

Garbage. - That's right.

- So the kid who mows Mr. Creary's lawn, he's garbage.

- Course not. - Why not?

He did business with a gang leader.

Or what about the plumber that fixes his pipes?

Or what about you? And Detective Kim?

Under your theory, you're garbage too, right?
