PRESIDENT Donald Trump has vowed to end the "catastrophe" of Obamacare after his health care reform bill passed its first major hurdle in a incredibly narrow vote.

The legislation, which repeals major parts of Obamacare, needed 216 votes and passed with 217 to 213 as every single Democrat in the House opposed the reforms.

Speaking after his first major legislative victory, Trump said: Make no mistake, this is a repeal and a replace of Obamacare.
The President made replacing Obamacare one of his key campaign pledges and vowed that in the new healthcare bill both premiums and deductibles will be coming down.
Around 20 million Americans gained healthcare coverage under Barack Obamas 2010 Affordable Care Act which wanted to extend insurance coverage to some 15% of the population without cover to pay for medical treatment.

Subsidies were offered to offered to make insurance more affordable, every American was required to have health insurance, and companies with more than 50 employees were required to supply insurance coverage.
