Waching daily May 3 2017

George [Lucas] said, "You can make it like a flying saucer, like a hamburger, just make it different."

I got an opportunity on "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids."

I wrote notes that basically tore the script apart...

Eliminated characters and changed a bunch of stuff.

And walked away from there thinking, "There's no way they're going to hire me; I completely ripped the script to shreds."

Two days later, they called me up and said, "Yeah, we want you to do the movie."

I want something that is different, something that is going to push me a little bit.

And it wasn't really until "October Sky"

that I felt like I sort of broke out of that kids fantasy/sci-fi mold a little bit.

I love working in that genre. It's a lot of fun.

But it's fun to sort of stretch your wings and do other things sometimes.

I'm looking for a story.

There are a lot of directors working today (I won't name names) who can be very flashy and they've got some great camera moves and there's some tricky stuff they can do...

But they can't tell a story.

or that makes you feel something or that even teaches you something whether you realize it or not.

Telling a story, especially on film, is really a lot of fun.

Using the camera and the dialogue in a way that is sort of out of the box sometimes.

And that is always entertaining for me.

And it keeps my interest and keeps me passionate about it.

Xbox All For One | Where I Game - Duration: 2:08.

Marissa>>Hey Xbox Canada, we recently asked you for your best

show ideas for a chance to host your own segment.

Geoff from Newfoundland thought it would be a cool idea to check out gaming spaces

from the Xbox Canada community.

And we agreed.

So here with his Xbox debut is Geoff with

a segment he likes to call, Where I Game.

[music]

Geoff >>Hey guys, I'm very excited to be here today.

I can't believe that just last week, I was commenting on a YouTube video,

and now I'm on the set of Xbox All For One

hosting my own segment.

So, let's talk gaming spaces.

I'm not talking about those fancy schmancy

gaming rooms you see in celebrity mansions.

I'm talking spaces for real gamers, like you and me.

Let's start with where I game.

What makes the perfect gaming room?

Well in my dad cave, I like to have things around that reflect me.

Sports, comic books.

And of course, my Xbox One.

With all that stuff, you gotta stay organized.

I've got a repurposed coat rack

for headsets and cables.

A filing cabinet filled with manuals from anything

I've ever bought.

That's just the dad in me.

I've got not one, but two screens

for my Windows 10 PC.

When I'm playing MMOs, I like to have the gaming action on one side,

and my favourite sports team on the other.

I've got a book on scotch whiskey;

my humidor with an assortment of fine cigars.

Marcus Fenix would approve.

I like to be in my own world when I game

so I wear a headset.

No noise complaints at my place.

And here's the captain's chair, with a cozy one for guests.

Now let's check out some of your gaming spaces. [music]

Wow, those are awesome.

Well that's it for me.

I'd like to thank Marissa for letting me

share the spotlight with her.

Until next time, keep playing together.

Marissa>> Hey! [record scratch]

Wait just a minute there, that's my line.

I thought Newfoundlanders were supposed to be polite?

Geoff>> Not always

[Marissa groans]

WE TALKED ABOUT THIS ENDLESSLY OVER THE LAST MONTH OR SO, BUT

Flow state: Creativity for Mental Health I Katy MacRae , LCSW - Duration: 2:36.

Hi, my name is Katy MacRae

and I'm a psychotherapist. I love working with creative people.

creative types- pretty much everybody- has had the experience in their life of "flow"

being in the "flow state", as described by the psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

so when people are in the "flow state", they feel energized, they feel inspired.

They lose track of time. They're "in the zone".

Everybody's had this experience.

Sometimes at work, sometimes when they're having fun

And when people are experiencing the flow state, they feel better

They feel- their health is better.

Their work is energized.

So the more you're in the flow state, the better.

Unfortunately, when you're not in the flow state,

When you're not feeling that creativity, if that's your thing

You can become depressed

So when I meet people, for example at work, and I'm doing an intake with them, sometimes I'll say

What's something you used to like to do, but you don't do anymore

because it's not as fun?

and often they's say, you know, I used to paint, or I used to knit, or I used to do woodworking

and I just don't do it anymore. I don't know, it's just not... I don't have the motivation

so I try to get people back into doing that.

I think environment is really important, what's around you

Colors... we know from research that colors really affect peoples' mood

so you can manipulate your mood and your environment

to reflect your feelings and enhance or boost certain feelings

we know that music can change peoples' mood.

for me, color is so important, and I use a lot of color

in the way that I dress, and my environment

things in my house

so if you go outside and you're walking around

you're less likely to ruminate because you've changed your position

you've changed where you are, you're looking at different things

and it's breaking that cycle of ruminating

so I often encourage people to go to a place they feel comfortable in

or a place that they feel energized in

a place that they think is beautiful

so one thing that's really important to me

is working with other people

I find that people are so much more motivated

they learn faster

and they really retain information when they're working with other people

their peers, and with me

it's so much more powerful than just an ebook, or a course, or something that you do alone, online.

so what I'm looking for is people who are interested in learning online with other people

I'd like to set up interviews, and I'm also having people do some of my practice courses and give feedback

so if that's something you're interested in

I would love it if you would just email me, we'll set up a time to do some talking

Shingeki no Kiyojin Chapter 93- Review (spoilers for anime) - Duration: 5:23.

Shingeki no Kiyojin, chapter 93.

Train in the dead of Night.

The human's ingenuity surpasses the strength of Titans.

This is the first important topic that this chapter proves.

The improved technology on the military found a way to encounter the army of Titans.

Even, they are able to change the place of the real battlefield, and they will use the

sky.

So, we take a very important information for the future story, and this is the Titan with

wings.

The Nation of Marley, who uses Titans power, so much, and even the leaders are feeling

that they will be lost, actually, they have nothing to lost than trying the creation of

the winged Titan.

Zeke, himself, says that developing conventional weapons will take too long for their plan,

so they need all the original titans for buying time.

And then, we are informed that Zeke has not a time, and the beast titan will be taken

by another person, and we have the introduce of Colt.

And the most important is the development of Beast Titan during Zeke's usage, so it's

quite possible that the winged titan will be the beast titan, and probably Zeke will

try to complete this form before his end, so Colt, with his youth and as a new beast

titan, will be overpowered, and why not the final enemy of Eren.

Talking about Eren, we learn that Eren is able to use the power of two titans, and knowing

the Colossal Titan is Armin, we should be aware of the female titan's identity.

I believe the one who has taken the female titan is Sasha, because of her development

in Shiganshina arc.

That's taking my attention, was the "baby" thing.

I wonder if the previous Eren with the assault titan, left a baby when died, and this was

the current Eren.

Maybe the memories of Eren aren't all correct and some part is "fake", but we will see.

Continuously his thinking, Zeke, reveals something strange.

The equipment of the Army in Paradis, which we have seen at the very beginning of the

story, considered as a very strong weapon, because regular people can fly with it, and

can kill titans with it, but we know already that, so if it isn't a plot hole of the author,

it's something about this weapon, very important for the future, and Zeke understood already,

so I expect we should see such a weapon used by titans, and this makes an army of winged

titans, like we have seen at the start of this chapter.

Zeke has more to say, when he refers to Ackerman clan again, and seems they are experiments,

like a prototype of titans, and maybe this is the reason why they can keeping memories

as a clan, but we haven't seen Ackerman taking a titan's power, so let's keep hyped for their

abilities.

And Zeke's information ends, and we are going to see Reiner and the identity of titan, Galliard,

and he has some past with Reiner, and what happened to Ymir?

Someone ate her and took her titan, or is there a proof about the "baby" which Zeke

mentioned earlier?

What if Ymir died, and her powers are left into a new baby Ymir.

Or Galliard ate her?

Because it's confirmed he took her memories.

I think this would be a big surprise.

And the final part is about Reiner's armored titan.

Reiner hasn't much time too, and his titan is very strong and important, so the next

person who will inherit the armored titan, and it's someone from the new age, will take

big plot around.

The latest chapters show the possibility of Gabi, and she is a huge fan girl of Reiner,

and she has the abilities to take it, but this boy, Falco, who has renounced his Eldian

origin, and became a soldier of Marley, and he has some feelings for Gabi, he is coming

as a pretender of the armored titan.

His whole story makes him be very similar with Zeke, and because he is the brother of

Colt, it wouldn't be weird if finally, he will inherit the beast titan instead the armored,

but this will drive away Colt from a certain role, and from Eren's final enemy.

Also, Falco, with armored titan and Reiner's memories, would be a perfect enemy for Armin,

who has the Colossal Titan and Bertolt's memories.

I think of those two scenarios.

The story will go obviously, and Falco will inherit the Armored titan.

Or will be a plot twist and Falco will take the Beast Titan by mistake.

And with this, Gabi will be again in the game of inherited the Armored titan.

This was the review of the chapter.

Thank you much for watching.

See ya.

Not all Military Veterans have Free Health Care in USA May 3 2017 - Duration: 3:52.

hi YouTube okay a lot of you know I was

a former military spouse for 16 years so

one of the things I want to point out

here in this video is not all veterans

get health care they don't and I'm going

to tell you the reason why okay my sons

both of them shirt served they didn't

serve 20 years total so but because they

were in the war zone they are followed

up for a few years but eventually

they're going to lose that health care

so to say that all veterans get health

care is not true it's not true because

they there's a certain criteria that

they have to meet so veterans are still

not going to be taken care of because

even when they get out and they have a

contract for a certain amount of time

that they get get health care it ends

eventually it ends so then they have to

rely on a job or well if they're

self-employed and they're like me and

they end up with a bizarre system of

health care that may not be affordable

so the thing is when you hear someone

say or like when President Obama when

President Trump did his token that all

veterans are going to get health care or

oh they can I know what it was they

could go to any place I wanted to go to

well still not all veterans are taken

care of let's put it that way because

they've served in war but eventually

they're their terms end you know for

when they got out so if they were in a

war zone for five years after that then

they can go get health care for a period

of time but eventually it does end so

it's not true

to say all veterans are taken care of

because they're not they're not taken

care of

I actually think spouses should have

benefits as well or either as all of us

as American citizens should have

resources for affordable health care

affordable care for all of us that's

what I think but yeah I'm going to go

into the veterans thing because I have

some other things well I've done some

research but that's other videos it's

going to take a long time and what this

is what happened to me I recorded a 35

long minute video and the darn thing

crashed on me

so yeah I'm cutting and I'm doing it now

in segments I'm redoing it again so

that's showing my dedication and my

passion for making videos and using my

voice so yeah but this is something to

think about when you hear them talk

about veterans and healthcare not all

veterans have health care because not

all veterans have served 20 years so

that's just something to keep in mind

that they have to serve a certain amount

of time to get health care so you can be

a veteran that served for two or three

years and in a warzone and not have any

benefits and not have health care think

about it so thank you guys for watching

ring my bell to follow me subscribe and

I'll see you guys soon I love you guys

peace love and avocados
