hey guys it's desi so today I wanted to
make clip on basically ways that you can
help yourself with depression and for me
in this clip I'm only going to be giving
you basic tips that I've learned and
accumulated over my years basically that
have helped me with the depression and
the reason that I told you guys that I'm
not going to be doing videos on that
that stuff anymore it's due to the fact
that i'm not saying that it like goes
away completely but i already learned to
grow and deal with it throughout years
that i've had therapy already through
all the years that I've had therapy and
I've had stable medication coming in and
out from different psychiatrists you
know it's it's always been switched up
so if one medication didn't work then I
would try a different one and going to
weekly therapy also helped me a lot but
those are not the tips that i'm about to
give but i'm saying that those two
things were basically things that helped
me just kind of let go of the depression
and it's something that you could just
kind of live with it's not something
that it's like oh people say that it's
forever i mean i guess it can be like
people can say it's forever and some
people can feel like it but some people
can outgrow it and in that sense i could
tell you guys that I think I've outgrown
it and that's not to say that I think
I'm better than you or that I think I'm
better than other people that might have
depression as well it just goes to say
that throughout living it for a while
throughout the years throughout therapy
sessions throughout getting to good
medications you learn to deal with it
and it just becomes something that you
put in the backseat of your car and it's
just right there
and you can either deal with in a
positive way or you could just keep
living in it by feeling sorry for
yourself and not thinking that there's a
way out which there is and in this short
clip I'm going to give you guys some
little tips that I've learned through
all my years on how it is that you can
cope with depression and let's get into
it so one of the things that actually
helped me is kind of basically you
sometimes have to do things that you're
not comfortable doing or used to doing
so one of the things would be to smile
smile even if you don't feel like it
you're probably like okay why would I
want to smile I'm depressed I hate my
life or whatever etc etc etc but if you
smile eventually pretending to be happy
can make it a possible reality so that's
number one number two is to go out go
out and even if you don't feel like
going out you just kind of have to push
yourself so again it goes with step 1 so
like you're smiling right forcing
yourself to smile me to go out you don't
want to go out force yourself to go out
even if you don't feel like it and to be
completely honest with you when you
don't feel like it is probably the most
time for you to actually go and practice
this step number two to actually go out
or it's just have to go out and not only
that but be be a pleasant to people be a
pleasant to to yourself and to the
environment around you and number three
I would say for ways to cope with
depression is to have one person that
you can comply it in just one person it
could be anybody it could be like a
friend of yours or a friend friend
a cousin a family member your dad your
mom or you know it could even be your
therapist or your psychiatrist that
that's the person you decide to confide
in so just have one person that you can
comply it in and you can tell them
everything if you have that sort of
relationship with them then they'll be
more than happy to listen to you talk
about the things that are going on with
you at the moment so those are my basic
three tips for you on ways to cope with
