Waching daily May 10 2017

Hi I am Arturo Camargo,

I am a historian,

and for over 8 years I have practicad historical fencing.

Along this years, I have always asked myself...

Do you have what it takes to be a Knight?

When we think about the medieval ages,

usually knights come to mind, we think about their weapons,

their Armor, and their feats.

But really,

what did they do to be ready for a life of continues battling?

A knight's training project,

has as a goal to expose the results

of a recent research that pretended unraveled

the conditioning and training secrets of this medieval warriors.

In a 10 episodes mini series,

we will analyze the combat masters' advice,

and we will visit an expert of each discipline a Knight should master,

we will try acrobatics, horseback riding,

sword fighting, archery, foot march…

And finally...

we will test all of it at a tournament!

[Eng Sub] 170510 Yixing reciting poetry for the Central Youth League's 青听 (Youth Listen) - Duration: 0:54.

Youth Listen with Zhang Yixing

During the time of youth

If you fall in love with a person

Please

please, you must treat him/her gently

Regardless the amount of time you are in love, be it long, be it short

If you can, from beginning to end, treat each other with gentleness

Then every moment of time

will always be flawlessly beautiful

If you have no choice but to separate

You will still need to say goodbye well

And also keep gratitude in your heart

To be thankful that he/she gave you a share of memory

After you grow up, then you will know

That instant in time when you suddenly realize

A youth without resentment

can then be without any regret

Just as the round, quiet full moon atop of the mountain

How To Paint Watercolor Galaxy Background for a Card - Duration: 9:40.

Hi everyone, this is Yana Smakula for Simon Says Stamp.com and thanks for joining me today.

I'm excited to bring you another episode from my by-monthly Yippee For Yana video series!

In today's video I'm showing you how to create a watercolor galaxy background for a simple

missing you card.

Now this project probably seems intimidating because right now you are thinking there's

no way I can create that watercolor galaxy background.

Trust me, you can.

You just have to give it a try and add some black and white at the end, this really is

just the main trick.

If you don't believe me just go ahead click to the middle of the video to see how

horribe my background looked and than click back to the begining to continue watching

this video.

I do apologize for my voice, I am just back from Simon Says Stamp CREATE event that took place

this past weekend in Columbus and I did a lot of talking there so my voice is probably still in Columbus while

I am already back in Phoenix.

So I probably don't really sound like myself, please never mind that.

I'm going to use a new Woodland Critters stamp set from Pretty Pink post to stamp an adorable

bear and a little deer to create a scene.

I am also using a Camping Friends stamp set, also from Pretty Pink Posh, this is an older

set, but I've discovered that it works really well with this new Woodland Critters set and

I'm going to use the wooden sign from here as well as a missing you sentiment to add

to my scene.

This set has a lot of great images like that tent that can work well with the critters.

Another set I am using today is called Seeing Stars and it is from Simon Says Stamp.

It is an older set from one of Simon's card kits and it's a fantastic one to use when

creating galaxy backgrounds.

I have shared a similar card over on my blog some time ago using this set and identical

technique - you are seeing it on the screen right now.

Its one of my favorite projects and it also got a lot of comments about the background

so I thought it would be a good idea to show you how to make this background, how to create that watercolor galaxy.

I am starting by stamping several stars in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto watercolor paper

using my mini MISTI stamp positioner.

The paper I am using today is Arches Hot Press watercolor - it is smooth and perfect for

stamping and then watercoloring, it has almost no texture at all, so images stamp really

nicely.

The reason I am using Versafine Onyx Black ink is because it is nice and rich and it

is waterproof and this is all I need for this this project.

I need to make sure my ink is not going to bleed when it comes in contact with water.

I am repositioning my images and also adding a sentiment and stamping more starts onto

my background.

I am using a stamp positioner, but this stamping can easily be done using a clear block.

I am also going to stamp my critters and I am using the same ink for this.

I am making masks for my critters as I go as I am overlapping them and creating

a scene.

You can use coordinating dies and simply stamp your images onto a different piece of watercolor

paper, color and cut them out and later layer to create a scene, but for this project I

didn't mind doing some quick masking.

I am not cutting masks out completely to save time, I'm only cutting the part of the mask that will actually

be used.

So I have my deer, next I stamped the bear and now I am stamping the tree stump under

the bear to make it look like as if the bear is sitting on it.

I am also going to stamp some grass and mushrooms to complete this scene.

Now that my stamping is done I can move onto watercolor part of this project, I am taping

my panel onto the board - I will be adding quite a bit of water so I want this panel to

warp as little as possible and taping it down onto the board does help to prevent warping quite a bit.

I didn't tape the bottom as I stamped my images too close to the edge and I knew I'd have

to cut off that taped part of my card, so I opted to not tape that part at all.

For my coloring I am using my Gansai Tambi watercolors and I am first going to watercolor

my critters.

I will say that I kept being unhappy with my critter watercoloring, so I later decided

to use my Copic markers to add shading and details.

You can definitely combine different coloring mediums to add details and finishing touches.

Don't feel like you can't mix mediums, you most definitely can.

This coloring took quite a bit of time, so this is why I am speeding it up a lot here

so that this video isn't too long.

I started doing my coloring using a paintbrush, but later switched to a water brush as at

this point I am more comfortable using a water brush for watercoloring small detailed

images.

After I finished coloring my critters I moved onto the background.

I used a flat brush to wet my background and next switched to a round #7 brush and

started adding color here and there.

I started with blue and dropped it onto my wet background and also added yellow in the

same way making sure not to mix the two together to avoid getting a green shade.

Because my background was wet I didn't have to do a lot of work and the paper did all

the work for me - my pigment traveled on paper and created beautiful soft spots of color.

I used my heat tool and dried this layer.

Next I came in with more blue, this time a more saturated color and again, added it onto

the background, I didn't wet the background this time.

From now on I only worked on a dry background.

I used a heat tool and again dried this layer.

Next I switched onto purple and dropped hints of purple color here and there making sure

to add a very light color purple next to my critters not to make the background there

too dark.

Again, I used my heat tool and dried my paper.

At this point my background didn't really look like much, and this is what might be

scary if you are doing this for the first time - the trick is to keep going and keep

adding color.

So I am doing to continue adding color to my background and continue drying the panel

in between each color.

Finally I am going to start adding black here.

And I am using my brush and adding black cloud-looking blobs of pigment.

I am avoiding adding too much next to my critters and also next to the sentiment.

The background does look pretty bad at this point and I'm going to be honest with you - I hated it

But I kept going.

I diluted white paint from my watercolor set and added lots of white drops onto my background

to mimic stars.

After I dried this layer white ended up looking very pale. But that didn't bother me as I knew I could fix it.

I used a clean wet brush and went over some sections to soften the edges of the watercoloring and bring color

to those areas especially next to the critters that I have missed.

To intensify the white I used a white gel pen and outlined nearly all of those white

dots.

I also added a few dots where I felt I needed more and made some of my dots larger and some

smaller.

At this point I have also removed my panel from the board and you can see that white

edge there that was taped off with the black stamped stars, I really like that edge and

if you have an edge like that on all 4 sides you can even keep it for a nice looking effect,

but I later trimmed mine so that I only had a watercolor panel left.

I die cut and stamped a wooden sign onto same Arches Hot Press watercolor paper, added a

missing you sentiment and watercolored the sign to match the rest of my scene.

I have also foam mounted my watercolor panel onto an A2 top folding card base - I have

trimmed the panel to be 4 x 5 1/2 inches and foam mounted my stamped and die cut sign

on top.

I used black foam tape to make sure it wouldn't be visible on the card.

I mentioned I didn't quite like the coloring on my critters so I used Copics and added

some additional detail and shading.

I used an R20 marker to add blush and several colors of brown to intensify the shadows on

my bear and also a green marker to fix the grass

So here's a finished look at this watercolor galaxy background and card. It does look intimidating,

but really isn't that hard to make.

I hope you'll give this idea a try and will finish it even if you don't like it during the process.

As always, please do tag us on social media so that we can take a peek at your projects.

Be sure to give this video a thumbs up and to subscibe to this channel if you haven't

yet done so.

Thanks so much for jouning me today, I'll see you next time, bye!

From charisma to policy, god, we miss you!!!

You could even charm Republican old folks

With those Correspondents Dinner jokes

Gorgeous prose in your memoir

We've had enough orange for the whole four

We peeped you and Michelle on vacation

Hillary Wool '17 On Opportunities for International Travel - Duration: 0:55.

I would say as someone who didn't have as many opportunities for

international travel before CBS, a lot of those experiences really stand out to me.

So whether it was looking out over Inle Lake in Myanmar with a group that I

was with for the recent global immersion program that I did there or

whether it was being at the top of one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo

staring out at the kind of vast beautiful expanse of lights at night.

I think just having the opportunity to see so many other cultures,

really see different parts of the world, and to do so

while building meaningful relationships with my fellow peers.

I think all of those experiences have just been so incredible and

I feel really privileged to have been able to have them here.

'Keeping Place' by Jen Pollock Michel - Duration: 1:07.

To be human is to long for home.

It doesn't matter how old you are, it doesn't matter where you live, what your marital status

is, how many children you have, you long for home and I long for home.

Home in this world isn't ever going to be perfect but what can it look like for us to

follow God into his home-making work?

It's this work that we take up in the world to love God by loving our neighbor as ourselves.

Our longing for home is real because the bible begins at home and our longing for home will

be satisfied because the bible ends at home.

In the beginning of time God made a home for his people and then at the end of time God

will make a home for us.

I'm Oliver and I'm in Ek Balam.

And...I was at this hotel um, which isn´t really a hotel. It´s not a motel.

It's, um, a super hotel I would say.

um, no scams here. I was

expecting it to be not as nice as this. It

surprised me. A lot. One of the things I

really liked was the dogs. I played with

Twiggy, Rocky, a lot of them, and they're

all so sweet. The rescue dogs and rescue

dogs means they used to be in a very bad

home. They were abused and stuff so, um, Jenes,

she brought them here and she

gave them the very good home. My favorite

dog is Twiggy.

She always has a personality that stands

out. She has two legs and sometimes I

think, how does she walk with two legs?

But she's an athlete, she just gets right up

when she falls down and I love that...

So I went off a cenote and I lost my tooth and

I was diving off the five meter

and I got a very big impact and I came

out of the water

and wiggled it and it was really wiggly

so I pulled it out and then when I slept

here I got twenty pesos and then in the

morning I gave it to the dog fund.

It just came right out of my heart.

Most Reliable 3D Printer 2017 | Feature-Packed 3D Printer for Reliability | smart modular design - Duration: 15:34.

hello products are shown in no

particular order to know more

links in the description below sit back

and enjoy owning a 3d printer is such a

wonderful thing with it you can bring

your ideas to life create tools make

toys hold a workshop or even start a

business but before you get awesome

prints you need to assemble the machine

calibrated twitch aesthetics clean up

the place and perform hours of

maintenance before the next print have

you ever wondered can 3d printing be as

easy as 2d printing hi I'm William from

dream maker we started our journey in

2011 and released our first model in the

next year we found that there were still

questions to be answered what is a truly

good query plaintiff should be this is a

way as a brand new over

we do want to clean things out but what

makes me excited is actually the quality

of thinking because we have a beautiful

model on the screen right in the CAD

software but once it print out people

will judge like hey what it looks like

this and that and it sounded beautiful

so the resolution I mean the quality for

me is super important and the designers

so I design like product anything device

so I drilled a 3d model and once that

brutal model I transfer to the software

pause it easy is okay and then from

software it well and print out you know

native anything anything just save on SD

card and put in a Dream Maker the pretty

printed part of it press print button

and that's it as a teacher I love the

things that I can do with 3d printing I

able to give my students options in the

past where I would say you know make

this out of cardboard or make this out

of construction paper I can now say

let's design something on our computers

and and print it off and have it I love

when I open the box and saw called the

overlords look I was thrilled what I

wanted most from a printer was something

that was going to be easy for me to use

something that was easy for the students

to learn how to use and something that

fit well in the classroom so I needed a

printer that was going to be very easy

and intuitive for me to use and the

overlord as

as student president was delivered I

took it out of the box and within 30

minutes I was doing my first friend the

secret select the ended pointing with

especially thinking input so we read

years it's thermodynamics butthole

printer this quick walk has given the

overall the ability to work continuously

without getting clogged or missteps up

to 700 hours to choose the best material

what a good place it evolved in a lot of

times and research and set up set up

with this one it works great with abs

and PLA sticks well they're easy to take

support us to make it a reality

thank you

Oh

Oh

number three you know sometimes being a

kid isn't as easy as you might think

I mean you have the ideas we have the

motivation and they have all the

potential normal but sometimes people

will help to totally that's why we've

decided time to make our own tools so

he's creating he ha the only three

printer design of us kids in mind we

made it easy to use 100% safe for kids

it's controlled directly by its cloud

system either online or do it expertly

design app there's no need for manually

adjusting anything can create unique and

original designs pixel by pixel or knife

or you can choose from always growing

library of more than 2,000 ready to

print toys all you need to do is pick

your color Press print and Nihad does

the rest it's fully enclosed by a safety

door so there's absolutely no danger

when the machine is printing if the door

is open or the machine is tilted or

anything else goes wrong the machine

will automatically stop printing and

free traffic novel you are is sleek

compact and simple all-around just

allows you to see our gears come to us

on any angle all four elements are

eco-friendly and non-toxic and they come

in 12 different colors we wanted to make

sure that you ha allowed controls for

their creativity in whole new ways we

can be innovative in our problem-solving

we could dream up new and exciting world

we can help each other learn grow and

achieve our potential and don't worry

they made it safe for grown-ups

to support us on IndieGoGo and share our

champion with family and friends

Miha the 3d printer designed with kids

in line

number four about six months ago we

decided to make the m3 D Pro based on

getting feedback from our existing users

so we've already gone through three

iterations of design prototypes and

we're almost completely done the

engineering three months ago we proved a

lot of the important concepts like

making a heated bed that uses less power

proving that it can move a lot faster

proving the benefits of higher quality

and higher precision metal parts and

right now we're going through the final

phases of proving the feedback system

and finishing the next steps in

programming our goal would be mm3d pros

to make the most reliable 3d printer in

history and the way we're going to do it

is by combining a full suite of sensors

we call a sensor network with precision

metal parts the combination allows the

printer to become more self-aware and it

can correct for errors that are common

in all 3d printers a cheap one vent

expensive poems things such as filament

snags printhead crashes even power

outages first time I ever heard about 3d

printing was one of my friends printed a

ninja warrior training hold and I

thought it was really cool the unique

thing that you're getting with n 3d Pro

that we have not yet seen in this

industry is that ability for the printer

to sense many different things within

itself it has the ability to sense

position it has the ability to sense

speed has the ability to sense

temperature in five different places and

if there's a problem it can be self

diagnosed and in almost all cases can be

self corrected ultimately that gives you

more time in the creative process with

3d printing I have right on my desk or

my granddaughter's have right on their

desk if they get an idea they can try to

make that idea on a 3d printer right

there they can turn their ideas into

reality this I didn't have when I

really the greatest advancement of 3d

printing could accomplish at any point

in the future is ease-of-use making it

so that anybody can just go from an idea

to creating that idea within an

afternoon we've introduced this new

thing we call tutorial mode so what we

got from our feedback from original

backers was that they wanted more

detailed guides so they can grow into

becoming a expert user rather than

having start as an extra user the thing

I think that needs to happen for

educators is speed is the issue how fast

we can turn around

so with M 3d Pro you have the ability to

print a single prototype with extreme

accuracy and high quality but you also

have the ability to take that prototype

and print it in quantity cover the

entire print bed with multiples of your

model and to be good at volume I am so

excited for the future not only for me

my daughter to grow up being able to use

her mind to create anything she wants to

thanks to a 3d thing I've been

fascinated with just the whole idea of

3d printing for quite a while now

focusing on just simple things that I

could print for around the house or you

know toys that I could print to play

with my kids really just the idea that I

could create something myself

so the m3 Pro is already successfully

funded and is the largest crowdfunding

between printed this year

due to popular demand we're opening up

pre-orders using the IndieGoGo in demand

and what M 3d is doing I think many

people are going to see is extremely

innovative and they're going to want to

be first to support it and to help

nurture where this technology is going

to go

they just also happen to get a printer

as one of their rewards very early and

at a deep discount

number five Amanda is a maker

practitioner of tech wizardry DIY magic

and this maker just got a new magic wand

this is a new Optimus the Optimus is a

modular three-in-one machine that

includes a 3d printer

a laser and CNC mill it assembled from

the two configurations and creates

finished products this machine can make

anything except waffles so we designed

the Optimus for people like of n she's

four cool ideas I want to create

something new the way that it's been

though if you wanted to start making

you'd have to strike a deal with the

devil to finance a lot of machines and a

huge space to use them and unless you're

Tony Stark this situation is about as

convenient as a harpoon to the face not

convenient at all so we changed that and

created one flexible machine with three

essential tools that fits on your

desktop

this machine was forged in our small

team of makers engineers and designers

and we're driven by this idea that

making to be more fun easy and just a

better experience overall so with it

thinking we made the Optimus simple to

operate anyway and along with this

machines we've created an app to control

it and also a simplified 3d design

program so a man that can start making

static while it's easy to use this

machine was built for professionals who

require top grade tools this is what

we're all about and with quality in mind

we built the Optimus with all metal

parts this ensures that it's going to be

reliable sturdy and that it can bring

your ideas to life year after year

the modular design enables the whole

ring to quickly transform back and forth

in just a few minutes and the modular

design means it's easy to manufacture

and transport and because you don't need

to buy three separate machines you'll

save money then maybe you can buy that

waffle maker too

we know firsthand about the excitement

of holding your own design so while

others may not get one you make Pinker

or cosplay we do and we want to help you

make more stuff now you can bring the

optimist

into full production we have

successfully built and tested 20

machines now the optimist is ready back

us and get your own three-in-one makers

YMCA Youth Basketball Program - Duration: 1:33.

It's not about winning or losing, it's about just going out, having fun, learning how to

play the game, but you're making friends out of it too.

Hi, my name's Marquel, and I'm a basketball instructor at the YMCA.

Being where I was for a year and where they are today, I've seen the growth.

Like, you can tell by just the way they're picking up a basketball, their dribbling, and, you know, they're

communicating with everybody in the program, and they're in to the games too — not only

just practices, but in the games.

When they're passing the ball to each other, I see everybody being active, and that's what

we really want is to make sure that everybody, you know, not only is coming in, and they're not only

having fun — don't worry about the final score.

Just come out, you show up, and you play to your potential; that's all we can ask.

If you give us 100%, that's all we ask from the kids.

You're not only going to learn good ball-handling skills; what you'll be learning is leadership.

Leadership's very important in our program.

When you take leadership, it'll take you far into, you know, where do you guys want to be in your life.

Because remember: if you're young, I want you to enjoy the moment, take it all in, and

trust me, when you take it all in, it'll be a lifetime experience for our kids.

When they get sweaty in the end, that means the job has been done.

HERE IS CALLED A KNOCK-OUT ROSE.

THEY START BLOOMING NOW AND

WILL GO UNTIL OCTOBER.

MOST OF YOUR BLOOMS ARE ONLY

THREE WEEKS.

ON THESE, YOU GET MANY MONTHS.

Michaela: THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!

Michaela: THE NEXT ONE WILL

KEEP YOU GUESSING.

IT GETS LOADED WITH WHITE,

DROOPING FLOWERS.

THE BACKDROP IS THE VARIEGATED

LEAF WITH THE GREEN AND WHITE

ALL AROUND IT.

AND THEN ONCE IT STARTS TO FADE

THE FLOWERS LIKE THAT, ALL THE

NEW GROWTHS BRIGHT RED THAT

FADES TO PINK AND TURNS INTO

THESE LEAVES.

Michaela: THIS ONE'S FUN.

I LIKE THE THIS ONE CAN'T MAKE

UP ITS MIND.

IT'S KIND OF FUN!

IT'S YEAR-ROUND INTEREST AND

THEIR YARD IS ALWAYS LOOKING

GOOD.

Michaela: AND IT CAN HANDLE

SHADE.

LIKE THIS ONE.

IT WILL OPEN UP AND BE A

NICE WHITE.

IN THE WINTER AGAIN ALL THAT

NICE WHITE IS A PINKISH HUE SO

THIS IS ACTUALLY A WEEPING

BLUE ATLAS CEDAR AND, YOU KNOW,

WHEN WE WERE TALKING ABOUT

COLOUR, IT ALWAYS HAS THESE ICY

BLUE NEEDLES ON IT, EVEN IN THE

WINTER.

Michaela: LOOKING FOR SPACE

FILLERS OR POPS OF COLOUR?

PERENNIALS ARE THE WAY TO DO

THAT, FROM CREEPING PHLOX OVER

HERE TO DAY LILIS THAT WILL

GIVE YOU COLOUR IN NO TIME.

OVER HERE, MORE PHLOX.

IF YOU ARE WAITING TO COME OUT

AND GIVE YOU COLOUR BECAUSE

THEY HAVEN'T LEAFED OUT YET,

PHLOX ARE A GREAT ALTERNATIVE.

Michaela: GARDENING FOR

PEOPLE IS FUN AND ENJOYABLE AND

BUT FOR SOME IT IS DAUNTING.

THEY DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN,

WHAT TO DO.

WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?

But have you written a book for your mama? [Book Review] - Duration: 4:34.

It's almost Mother's Day in America.

For those of you…okay for those of us, who may have neglected the most important day

on the corporate calendar of holidays, I have the perfect gift for the mother figures in

your life.

Okay, I have the next best thing.

Born A Crime is a collection of essays from comedian Trevor Noah who reflects on his childhood

in South Africa.

It's equal parts political commentary and coming-of-age and the sum of all these stories

is the celebration of a mother who will make you want to be a better human being.

Noah takes readers on a journey through the absurdity of apartheid, the segregation policy

of South Africa in which people were separated by the the distinctions of blacks, coloreds,

Indians, and whites.

I mean, in America we know racism, but imagine being at home with your family all your life

and then a stranger comes in and is like, "you know what, I want this house, you can

go live in the basement."

And not only do you go live in the basement, you're led to believe that your family is

the reason you're down there and so instead of getting out of the basement and taking

your house back, you're down their arguing about who deserves to go back upstairs in

the first place.

Like in other places colonized by Europeans, the intention was of course to divide and

control, but what really amplified the injustice of racial segregation was the fact that Black

South Africans outnumbered the colonizers 5 to 1 and were relegated to living in townships

and having little to no rights.

But finally in 1991, through the efforts of many who knew better and had the courage of

their convictions, activists like Steve Biko and Nelson Mandela and artists like Hugh Masekela

and Miriam Makeba, the institution was abolished.

And in 1994 Madiba, the Father of the Nation was elected President.

But back to Born A Crime, through these stories, we get to understand how Noah, born to a Xhosa

mother and a Swiss father would ultimately form his own astute opinions about how the

world works when policies are put in place to separate human beings from human beings.

The essays range from his hilarious Tom & Jerry-esque

relationship with his mother, to his adventures in finding friends on the segregated school

grounds, to a wonderfully moving piece about developing a relationship with his very secretive

father.

My favorite essay is definitely the final essay in which the power of his mother's

faith had me sobbing onto the pages.

His mother might possibly be my favorite person for as Noah puts it, she doesn't fight the

system, she mocks the system.

At first, I found myself reading the beginning essays unimpressed like, "Beloved, my mama

is a badass too."

But then when you get to the parts where his mother is rolling out of a moving vehicle

with her sons in tow you're like, "Well I'll be damned."

My favorite part about these essays is that in a time when history seems to be repeating

itself or to have never left, Noah's book reminded me that though the government may

have their own paperwork on who you are, when you were born and to whom, it's ultimately

left with you to fill in the details of your life.

It's up to you to tell your own story.

If you're in need of a breath of fresh air in social commentary, Trevor Noah is your

guy.

He's like the silence in the echo chamber that we didn't know we needed.

He has a unique sense of clarity in how he describes what still ails society.

And his observations really get down to the simple fact of the matter, that humans are

going to human.

But of course he says it more eloquently than that.

His mother's grit will shake you to your core and Noah's brilliance just jumps off

the page.

So whether you're born a crime, or a pre-existing condition, this memoir is an adventure and

you should definitely pick it up.

Happy Mother's Day to all the maternal figures in our lives who teach us a little something

about unconditional love everyday.

And don't forget to read or be read.

Thanks for watching, and I'll talk to you later.

Bye.

How the heck are these kindergarteners getting this macaroni on these strings.
