today I have 10 tips for you guys in relation to graphic design and

freelancing in the industry - stay tuned to listen to my 10 tips for freelancing

in graphic design

what is up people welcome back to satori graphics home of graphics and

content right here on YouTube now last week I made a video on ways that you can

earn money as a graphic designer they're not a relation to freelancing they

mainly evolved passive income so you want to check out that video go back on

my channel and have a look today however we couldn't be looking at freelancing

and I'm gonna offer you guys my tips for freelancing as a graphic designer online

that's quite funny because decades ago in graphic design

well commonly took place was a graphic design they would go into a design

agency or part of a design team and that's what they would make their career

when they get towards the end of their career that is when they we go into

freelancing this was what commonly took place nowadays however people get to

university or college and when they finish their design courses they

immediately go straight into freelancing so things have kind of turned

upside-down in the design industry as a play but here are my 10 tips for you

guys in relation to freelancing as a graphic designer

now the first one is quite a big one and it's something I see everywhere online

and it's do not undersell yourself as a graphic designer to clients on the

Internet is a huge spectrum of different prices and values for design work this

ranges from a leg of a sign for five dollars all the way up to hundreds and

thousands of dollars for a branding project you need to take a good look at

yourself and your design work and don't buckle down under pressure to sell your

work for cheap prices this is going to devalue yourself and your time with a

designer and it's not going to be worth your while working hard on a design for

such low prices where they could actually be making more money during a

normal 9 to 5 job in retail for example so never under say your self as a

graphic designer if a client doesn't want to give you the

money that you need or you want for a design project simply move on that's

their loss and there's plenty more fish in the sea as they say and at the good

tip in relation to working with clients as a graphic designer

is how you talk to them you need to familiarize yourself with design

terminology and use keywords all professional designers use now this is

gonna make you seem like you know we're talking about and hopefully you do

know what you're talking about so whenever you talk about project or

design use words that designers commonly used so things like bleed vector strokes

you know all these technical terms that every single designer should know about

this is only gonna make yourself look more horrible and more professional when

you're talking to clients another good good point when it comes to dealing with

customers or clients is your customer service you should always sell yourself

in your work but you should always do in a tangible manner and you should always

be polite and considerate that's not to say that you should be in doormat and

you should be walked all over on a trodden on if a client or a customer is

happy with your work they're gonna be inclined to tell other people about your

services that's only gonna beast your portfolio work and the work that you

actually are hired to do on the other hand if you're a cold harsh person who

comes across the person and nobody wants to associate with people will then tell

others about you and how you actually present yourself this is only going to

go against your favor of being a professional successful freelancer in

graphic design this is someone that many designers overlook and it is pen and

pencil before you start any design projects in Illustrator or Photoshop

whatever it's always good idea to sketch down your ideas first this is because

you want to get these ideas from your mind onto a physical form quickly and

easily and you can develop ideas in a very skill for an easy manner on paper

before you take them to a digital realm

another big big point here when you're freelancing as a graphic designer is to

remember you target market is submit you're designing something for I don't

know teenagers for like a pop culture magazine you're not gonna make the

design really for more contemporary as you would for maybe an upper-class small

older audience you really do need to keep in mind who your target market is

because as designers we create physical communication for people to observe and

to soak in it needs to be relevant to those people and the target market is

gonna reach

this is something I've been using a lot in the last two years of my graphic

design work and also my life in general and some of you guys might know about

the Mikey slogan just do it he was actually turned into a mean by shell

above but I've been using it in my projects and also in my life just do it

don't procrastinate just get up and just do it once you start doing things and

you start getting to a rhythm it's easy it's just the initial push to

go and do something that is often the hard part I know procrastination is a

problem for many people but if you simply just start doing it you will

start enjoying yourself after doing it you know as a designer I do love

designing things and creating cool designs but there are these days where

you didn't feel like doing anything and if you do have a deadline that you must

meet use this slogan just do it on the other side of things you really do want

to save yourself time to relax and do things that you want to do in your life

your entire life and being you shouldn't be your projects new graphic design work

you should do things that you really enjoy away from the computer screen so

you didn't get burned out and you didn't fry your brain so it's important to

manage your time between relaxation and downtime as well as your work projects

now the previous two points lead onto my next point

and that's to make a plan of action I find that if you plan out your day or

your days or weeks ahead things run a lot more smoothly so maybe in the

morning you have to design the logo and then you have to then you have to work

on a business card for example just plan out your plan of action so you know

mentally what you need to be doing and when I'm the kind of person who does

these structures so this one really does help me as a graphic designer of course

you might stray away from the plan but when you do actually have a plan you

might find that you get things done a lot easier and a lot more smoothly as

social media is a big one as a freelance graphic designer you cannot rely on one

website to gain all the traffic and the clients that you need

we each have a big presence in social media so that involves having an

Instagram account having Twitter having a Behance profile all of these things

are gonna help you get more clients as a freelance graphic designer and you

shouldn't just post your work you should always engage in groups and also

hashtags that are relevant to graphic design of freelancers when you have a

bigger presence on social media and you have more notoriety you can have more

customers or potential clients coming to you because your name is actually out

there as a graphic designer so get social network and pupil now the

last tip in today's video on 10 tips for you guys in freelance graphic design is

something I've said a lot on this channel and that is your portfolio of

work now you don't have to have a portfolio website but I do actually

suggest that you get one because you have full control over portfolio website

as a paste of social media account if you have portfolio of work you can

direct potential customers on freelance websites to your portfolio website now

this is gonna really really help you because it shows you're more

professional and it shows that you have a vast experience of work as a graphic

designer the more experienced you are the more

likely someone's gonna hire you a freelance graphic designer

so there are my 10 tips for you guys on freelancing as a graphic designer

let me know you guys still to this video in the comment section below like and

share my content if you do find it useful and of course subscribe to Tudor

graphics if you haven't already it's really really hot here today it's like

34 degrees Celsius and humidity is up to 80% so I'm kind of sweltering making

this video for you guys today but anyway I'll be back tomorrow

and until then does on your future today peace

you

MAN UNITED confirm trial for Saudi striker Al-Sahlawi | TRANSFER NEWS #mufc - Duration: 1:54.

The 31-year-old is poised to spend three weeks at Old Trafford although his opportunity appears

to be tied to a commercial deal signed, by the club Saudi Arabia striker Mohammad Al-Sahlawi

is reportedly set to hone his World Cup preparations by training with Manchester United.

The 31-year-old has 26 goals in 33 appearances for his country, who will kick off Russia

2018 in the opening match against the host nation in Group A.

Preparations for Juan Antonio Pizzi's side were dealt a blow by Tuesday's 4-0 defeat

against Belgium but Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia,

tweeted on Wednesday to announce Al Nassr forward Al-Sahlawi would be operating in esteemed

company for the next three weeks.

"It was agreed with Manchester United for Mohammed Al-Sahlawi to join for a training

programme for three weeks," Al-Sheikh's post read.

"May God benefit him."

Reports in Saudi Arabia maintain there is no intention on United's part to make an approach

for Al-Sahlawi, who had been criticised for a "decline" in his performance in a Twitter

post from Al-Sheikh reacting to the Belgium game.

Earlier this season, the administrator was present at the signing of a strategic partnership

between United and GSA, under which the 20-time English champions will help the Saudi body

to develop its football industry as part of its "2030 Vision" initiative.

"This relationship is part of an exciting programme we are undertaking to transform

sport in Saudi Arabia," he told the club's official website at the time of an agreement

that will involve United lending business and sporting expertise to clubs and sporting

authorities in the Gulf state.

6 Quick and Easy Vintage-Inspired Hairstyles For Shoulder-Length Hair (Heatless) - Duration: 10:25.

Hi everyone, so what follows is some hairstyle ideas a little bit more on the vintage

retro, period style I guess that are easier to make and you kinda do need to

have wavy or somewhat curly hair for these hairstyles preferably for most of

them you can like curl your hair or I guess making wavy overnight. You can

put it in braids, pin it to the scalp with bobby pins or

things like that but I think for the most part they're easier to make faster

to make in the morning. So the first one I'm actually starting by the

shortest one, the one that takes the least time to make so this one you just take a

ribbon and you tie it you have a side part right? and you tie it right on top of

the side part you make a bow with it, like so, keeping some hair out of your

face preferably not very tightly but just like that and then you take some

bobby pins and you pin it just to keep it in place it's not... I don't think that's very

necessary but in case you wanna make sure it's it's there

so for the next one you need to have middle part and you take a section of

hair near the top on one of the sides and you basically just take it back and

you pin it back so that it doesn't get in the way because you're going to braid

this section that is right under that we're gonna take that in you're gonna

braid it like so and you want to do it away from your face preferably and not

very far away from the hairline that's a little mistake that I did and another

mistake that I did was to use a real thick tie this one doesn't look very

nice but this one looks away from the face so it's not a big deal but you want

to use of thinner kind of more invisible tie for this and you're just going to

tie it and once you have the braid itself done you want to get it you want

to take a bobby pin and pin it to the top of your head like that

and then what you do to the other side is almost the same except the of course

to take the hair out the top of the one you take that section away, pin it back

you use just a little clip I take this hair that's braided you want it closer

to the hairline, and also

You're going to preferably take two sections

there's three sections but in one of them you're gonna pin a little ribbon

on because there's going to be a ribbon in between the braid

because this one is seen in the front so it's more visible so you want to secure

it there and then you take out the other two sections over here that are gonna be

part of the braid

which is what I'm doing just now you wanna use them to braid the rest of your

hair of that section like so

and once you have the braid you're going to bring it up in front of the first one

that you made and you're gonna take a pin and just put it right there and if

there's ribbon left and you probably really gonna hide it under the other one

to kind of make the illusion of the

braid continuing and I'm just gonna pin it somewhere around the you know under

or behind and then you take the rest of the hair out like that and that's pretty

much it. This is an even more modern, I would say, version of that you also take a

section out from the top but the hair that you use to braid is much thinner so you end up with

a longer thinner braid well it gives the illusion of being longer anyway so you

pin that hair there and you braid that section and of course once you're done

with that section you put it right on top like so you pin it and the hair you

can kind of leave there in a way but you can have it on the front back again

although I have chosen to essentially do both because I like when were they

what it was but then I take the front part and then pin it to the kind of 'hairband'

and the way that I've made under the hair that's behind it in this way so the

next section is the same really

so this one starts with yet another middle part and you take yet another

section of hair kind of like this near the front right at the front and you

know near the top you can do it twist downwards like this but I have decided

to actually use, to do it upwards like this or I guess it's downwards of course you

know what I mean like... one in which the twist is kind of like makes a bump

like that and and I clip it with a small clip and then I just take the

other side and I do exactly the same: take the section out and then twist it

and clip it making sure that it's a little bit more voluminous than that

cuz I'm if it's too tight it doesn't look very nice

so I just clip it like that and I actually redo this one slightly to make

sure that it actually matches the other one I mean it's very very quick to do

this so redoing one is almost nothing really. The detail comes

when you take these ribbons, you have to have to kind of twin, thin small ribbons

for the detail of this is all on you take these and you make a little bow

with it and that's obviously on each side and the one that I'm using the white

it needs kind of a little bit of working but it's definitely seen better days but

anyway you take one on each side you can tie in a bow. So the next one starts with

yet another middle part and here you will braid the whole side of the other

part... So, I have to admit it's pretty difficult to braid shoulder length hair because it

kind of wants to leave you after a couple rounds but you'll tie it again

preferably with a tie that's not like hot pink or anything like that or well, use one

that blends with your hair and really the detail comes with a wide, any

color ribbon that's kind of long and wide um I don't think I tie it high I

would recommend that you try the high as possible on the braid itself but I do

the best I can with this bows, they're not even the same actual one of them is actually

wider than the other I'm pretty sure you'll notice here I have the only one

in yet but that's like an ivory like off-white color and it's not and I have

really down low like it doesn't make sense but anyway um you definitely can

do it better than I'm doing it right now

so just tie it there higher again and in case you weren't convinced by this one the

next style is the same one but you actually

tie the same same braids on the back of the head like this so you still have the

bows and it keeps it an accessory but it actually looks a little more often up to

a bit more you know organized made up

and another way that you can wear this hairstyle is if you take a scarf like

this and you put it around your head you bring it back and bring it and back to

the front and tie it there it gives you like old Russian lady vibes I think so I

hope you guys enjoy these hairstyles and you found this helpful.

Short Stories For Kids | The Fox And The Pheasants | Baby Stories For Infants In English - Duration: 2:09.

One moonlight evening

as Master Fox was taking his usual stroll in the woods,

he saw a number of Pheasants perched

quite out of his reach on a limb of a tall old tree.

The fox was very cunning,

and he got an idea to get the Pheasants.

The sly Fox soon found a bright patch of moonlight,

where the Pheasants could see him clearly;

Then he raised himself up on his hind legs,

and began a wild dance.

First he whirled 'round and 'round like a top,

then he hopped up and down,

cutting all sorts of strange capers.

The Pheasants stared giddily.

They hardly dared blink

for fear of losing him out of their sight a single instant.

Now the Fox made as if to climb a tree,

now he fell over and lay still, playing dead,

and the next instant he was hopping on all fours,

his back in the air,

and his bushy tail shaking

so that it seemed to throw out silver sparks in the moonlight.

By this time the poor birds' heads were in a whirl.

And when the Fox began his performance all over again,

so dazed did they become,

that they lost their hold on the limb,

and fell down one by one to the Fox.

Remember this

"Too much attention to danger

may cause us to fall victims to it!"

Improving Vocal Speech for Kids with Autism – Never Give Up on Vocal Language! - Duration: 6:10.

I've seen over the years where parents and professionals call a child nonverbal, and there's a lot

of emphasis on augmentative communication devices, and no emphasis on vocal language.

And today, I'm going to talk about how I never give up on vocal language.

Hi, I'm Dr. Mary Barbera, autism mom, board-certified behavior analyst, and bestselling author.

I often hear, and when I've done evaluations in the past, I read that a child or a teen

is nonverbal, and on augmentative communication systems, and are having problem behaviors.

And when I inquire about whether the child does have any spoken language, I get things

like, "Oh yeah, he can say Mom, or he can say Mama, or he can say hi," but everything

else is pretty much on his device, or on some kind of augmentative communication system.

And, when I did an evaluation, probably one of my last independent evaluations, it was

a teenager who was living in a residential placement and going to school in approved

private school.

He was 16 or 17 years of age, and he was like a child I'm talking about, where he was labeled

nonverbal.

He's on an augmentative system, obviously having a lot of problem behaviors if he's

in a residential placement and I'm being called in to do an independent evaluation.

And what I found was this boy did have a little bit of vocal language.

He could say Mama.

He could say bead.

It wasn't completely clear.

When I observed him,he could also sing little songs, hum the music, fill in the blanks to

some songs, and most of his requesting or manding was actually with his vocal language.

And one of the things I talk about right away when I see kids with any kind of babbling,

any kind of sounds, or word approximations, is we don't want to just throw in the towel

in terms of vocal language.

We want to look at ways where we can improve that, because if a child can vocally mand

for something, it's just so much easier, less response effort for the child, and much more

speedy in getting a response.

So, with this boy, we also looked at his ability to drink from an open cup, or from a straw.

Right away, I saw him drinking from a water bottle, and water's just spilling out of his

mouth.

That's how low tone his mouth was, so I asked the staff, "Does he ever drink out of a straw?"

Which would be also better in terms of spilling, but it also would be better in terms of oral

motor movements, and just maybe the ability to shape up his articulation a little bit

more.

He was able to drink out of a straw, which was a great first step, and I pointed out

that he had word approximations and spoken words that everyone could understand for several

different items.

So, I do believe that we need to focus more on vocal language.

One of my online course members, Anna, bought my online course a couple of years ago when

her son was 10 years old.

Like this other boy that I'm talking about, her son only had a few words, and the staff

was focusing on an augmentative system.

With the techniques that Anna learned in my program, she was able to teach Nick to say

hundreds of words, with pretty good articulation.

So, I would never rule out the ability to have vocal language.

We have another member of our online community who is getting a teenager, who was previously

completely nonvocal, speaking in short word approximations and words.

So, I'm always a big proponent of assessing and making a plan to improve vocal speech,

if at all possible.

You can get more tips and my brand-new three-step guide by downloading my three-step guide to

help you turn autism around, for a toddler or a teen with autism, and I hope that you

will leave me a comment, download my free guide, and I will see you next week.
