Cheap Pocket tripod for phone and DSLR camera by Ankier Unboxing - Duration: 2:46.

What's this we've got here? let's have a look

Mini pocket tripod okay

Let's see what it looks like with the video

here you go

so really you could vlog with this thing

Vlogging like that and off you go

See what I'm doing here? filming myself filming

myself filming myself filming

What the hell?

So this is

a little bluetooth button for Android or IOS

An on/off switch so there's the tripod

in action the reason I bought is because if the

studio is set up in the other room if I

want to vlog in here where it's nice and quiet

in here and I can just come in and use this

little tripod and I haven't got to set up

the big tripod. I can just use this little

one. It's pretty neat pretty handy and

you can actually use it to take it out

on you know instead of taking out the

big cameras. I can take this out and

use as a handheld but I'm out vlogging in

the street I'll show you how you do it.

There you go now as you can see it quite

easily hold a DSLR as well so it's so

it's pretty useful it's very very useful

you should have seen the outtakes of me

struggling around with that big tripod

which I have over the back of the table

because I kept knocking it on the table

but this one's very very stable. Perfect

These are the tools you need to do the

job and I did stack my cameras on boxes

and old books and this and that

But it's just unstable. You need a stable platform on

which to film properly so might as well

just go and get it. End of story

It's great. It works.

A is For Archives - Duration: 9:32.

My name is Stephen Lane the

managing librarian for the

Howard University library

system. Today I want to talk

about archival literacy for

history students.

So.

One part of the university

where I want to reach out to

are the history

professors.

And if you look at the history

professors and the researchers

ask the question how

did they learn how to use the

archives.

And a lot of the history

professors actually learn how

to use the archives through

trial and error just kind of

going in there when they were

in undergrad or graduate

school and kind of fumbling

around through the archives

and figuring things out on

their own.

And I think that this is a real

disservice to history students

to kind of expect them to kind

of figure out what to

do and when they go to the

archives looking for primary

resources because that is

exactly what these history

students need are quality

primary sources and they need

to really feel comfortable so

I'm advocating

for

formal

training in the archives for

history students

in undergrad and graduate

courses.

Now my background I am a dual

degree.

I was a dual degree student in

public history and library

science now for

dual degree program I did have

to take a course in

archives but this is not a

required course for the history

students. It's more of an

elective if they want to

yet in all the classes that I'm

taking. I do have to access

the archives for

primary sources and the history

classes.

So I think it's important that

history students know what to

expect when they go in there

and that they know how to

formulate a research question

and what the reference

interview would be like with an

archivist and

how to handle primary source

documents so that they can be

handled with care and

preserved for later use.

So we need more evidence and

higher education courses.

And with the history programs

to see which

programs are required

archival courses.

And when you look at the data

of higher education history

programs throughout the country

you see that a lot of the

assignment due call for using

primary sources.

Our objectives refer to primary

sources. But if you get down to

the end of this graph here you

see that field trips

to the archives there are zero.

That are actually calling for

students to go visit the

archives with their

professor to get formal

training in how to search

for those primary sources.

And I think that's that's

a disservice to the history

students.

When you look at the research

as well you see though a lot of

history students do what

most students do

in any program when they

are doing starting a research

paper. They go right on Google

and type in their research

question and use

all the information that they

find on Google and that can

really limit the student and

what they can find.

So who do we need to reach?

We need to reach out to the

history professors and ask them

to include a

field trip to the archives or

include archivists to

come into the course and talk

to them about what to expect

when they go into the archives.

We also need to engage with

history students and we can do

that through social media

and putting up user content

and web guides for them on

how to use the archives.

We also need to activate

librarians and archivists to be

proactive in reaching out to

history professors and history

students on archival

training and archival

literacy.

So one thing that we can do

because I know that library

staff are busy especially if

you work at a small library

and the staffing is so limited

you guys are very busy helping

students and professors

as we can you we can

use our smartphones to create

digital user content.

So one thing that we could do

is create a presentation

through and post it on YouTube

on what to do when you go

to the archives for the first

time.

And this way you're not doing

the same presentation for each

history class them may

may be available at your

university but the kids

the students can go online and

actually access those

user the user content

videos to help them or the

professors can actually

show those videos in the

classroom.

We can also promote the

collection through social media

letting history students know

what's available

through Twitter or Instagram

or Facebook to kind of promote

those documents that we do have

in the collection.

Promote the oral histories

that we do have.

So any part of the collection

can be promoted

through social media.

Also getting out of those

classrooms is important.

So I know that if you do

have a little more time in your

library than actually go to

those classrooms to visit with

the history students is very

important.

And we definitely want to make

sure that those student

histories does have hands on

experience in the archives

and they know how to formulate

a research question.

They know how to

ask an archivist for

help and they know how to

handle primary source

documents.

So history students should know

what to expect. They should

know how to formulate a

research question for

archivists.

Students will receive

experience in a reference

interview with an archivist.

And a lot of times

they expect to just ask

their question and the

archivist will just come spit

back a bunch of answers

for them like a like a computer

but it doesn't work like that

because sometimes the research

question can lead

to more questions from the

archivist to help the-

And it can really help the

history student hone down on

what they're actually looking

for for their research project

are they looking for

photographs or are they looking

for audio visual materials.

Are they looking for both.

Are they look for diaries.

Newspaper clippings anything

like that.

And students will know how much

time to give an archivist to

put appropriate materials

together so that they know that

if they have an assignment due

they know that they can't just

go into the archives a day

before with a research question

and say I need all these

documents now!

What they're going to have to

do is actually give the art

this time to put those

materials together for the

students.

Students will be prepared to do

research in the archives so

they'll feel comfortable and

confident in going into

archives and knowing what to

expect when they

students will know how to

access the digital archive

collection. So one thing is one

thing that we can do with the

classroom visits or the online

social media outreach or the

increase in the digital content

is promoting what is

already available online

through the digital archives.

And students will have the

confidence to utilize the

archives in their research and

that kind

of turned off by going into

the archives or intimidated

by the archivists who

they see as the gatekeeper

if you will of the-- of all

the information behind the

archives because we definitely

want the students the history

students in there

to do their research.

So we need to promote the

use of the archives and we can

do that through social media

and through the

digital user content as well as

visiting the classrooms.

Managers need to make sure that

staff are available to provide

informal/formal instruction to

history students. So really

trying to find the

schedule and the time where

the archivists and librarians

will go to these the history

classes and talk with

the students and promote

the collection.

Also creating that digital

content that can reach a wider

audience and

so staff won't get burnt out by

doing giving the same

presentation over and over

again will be very helpful

and this this content

is so important because it can

reach students for quite

a while over different

semesters and they can always

go back and reference it if

they need to.

And history students will

be ready for a job so they'll

know how to go to

archives that know what to

expect when they get there and

they'll have the confidence and

we're not just letting them

off on their own where they

don't know how to

look up primary sources so

they'll be ready there'll be

job ready by the time they get

their degrees and finish with

school.

So thank you I'll be happy to

answer any questions at this

time.

If you like to get a hold of me

with more questions my email

smlane@umail.iu.edu.

Thank you so much.

LGBTea: What is Pansexuality/Bisexuality || nicolettecigarette - Duration: 1:15.

what is pansexuality and its difference

to bisexuality. let's start with

bisexuality. bisexuality is the

attraction to two genders - typically male

and female (in a binary sense) while

pansexuality is the attraction of all

genders. those who are pansexual

typically don't see a binary and don't

include a binary in their orientation or

definition. pansexuality not only differs

because of this but it includes all

identities such as genderqueer and

non-binary to name a few. if you don't see

a binary and identify as bisexual, it's

totally fine you're the only one who can

define your sexual orientation. all in

all pansexuality and bisexuality are

valid. how you choose to define your

sexual orientation, once again, is all on

you. even as a bisexual person the

attraction to two genders can be out of

the binary sense. you have the control to

live truthfully and I encourage you to

do so. ciao

Amir Phone Stand And Watch Stand Unboxing And Review! - Duration: 7:37.

Lots of people use their mobile phones and smartwatches but sometimes when at work you

just want to find a comfortable Dock that holds your mobile phone and your smartwatch

and this product I have here should solve that problem.

Hey guys it's me JoshyTek and today I'm going to unbox and review the Amir Phone And Watch

Stand.

Before I start this review I just want to thank Amir for allowing me to review the Dock

as I wouldn't be able to review this product without them.

So when you receive this product it will come in a small cardboard box.

First impressions looking at the box itself, I like how the company has used cardboard

as the preferred material for the box as it gives me the impression that the company has

spent the most money on the phone Stand instead of the packaging.

Looking at the box you can get a definition of what the product should be when you open

up the box and on the top of the box you will see the name of the product in bold writing

which I find is helpful.

Flipping the box over you can see three USB ports which will allow you to charge your

devices simultaneously.

All in all I do like the minimalist box, it's simple and understated.

The fun really starts once we get the box open.

Opening up the box you will get two things.

You will get your power cable where you will be able to power up the dock and charge your

devices.

You will also get the dock itself and That's it.

Looking at the dock I really like how the company has made this dock with real carved

bamboo wood.

This really shows that this isn't a cheap dock that you're buying here.

The wood is that real that I can even smell it.

On the top of the dock you will see that there is a cutout which looks like a circle.

If you have an Apple Watch, the charger you get with it will fit perfectly in the cutout.

You will also see the cutout where you can keep the cable tidy so it doesn't stick out

of the dock to make it untidy.

unfortunately I don't have an Apple Watch but I guarantee that the charger will fit

perfectly in that cutout.

Next to the cutout you will see the big cutout for your mobile phone to fit.

Of course me being an android user I had no problems docking my phone into the space and

it rested my Motorola perfectly, and my phone is a big phone here with a 5.5 inch screen

so it fitted great.

I like how there is padding behind where the phone rests as the wood won't scratch your

device if you don't use a case.

On one of the sides I like how the company has carefully curved the place where the Smartwatch

will dock.

I've had no problems docking my LG G Watch there and it just did the job.

The shape where the watch sits really looks interesting and really different when looking

at it and I do think it will fit any type smartwatch.

On the other side of the dock there's nothing much going on here.

On the back of the dock you will see your power input to power up the three USB ports.

These three ports will allow you to charge three devices simultaneously.

Amir claims that these three USB ports have what is called "Smart IC" Which supposed

to detect and charge your devices at the fastest charge rate.

These three ports pump out 3.0 Amps at 5 volts.

I do like how there is engraving in the wood to show how much voltage is going into the

dock and how much voltage is pushing out.

On the bottom of the dock you will see the cutout for your charger cable.

I find this really useful as it definitely tides up the cable management so there won't

really be much cables sticking out.

I also like the white rubber pads that help the dock stand up and not move or slip from

its position.

But however the dock isn't all that great, yes the design looks great and it does what

it does but from my experience I have noticed some negative things with the dock.

What if you needed to charge your phone?

Yes, you can obviously route the cable under the dock and connect your phone to charge

it but the only problem I came across is that there isn't much support for the cable as

the cutout beneath the dock is too big in my opinion.

What would've been great is that the cutout could've been more smaller so there's more

support when the phones docked.

Another thing I didn't like is the USB Ports.

The two USB ports connect my cables perfectly but the very last one right near to the input

port, I've noticed that it's really hard to plug in the cable and even to remove it, It's

also the same with the input port as well.

I know you're only going to plug in the input cable once and not remove it but I just wanted

to point that out, and that kind of makes me worry as I don't want the housing to be

damaged inside the dock and it looks almost impossible to take the thing apart, also when

you have one of the cables plugged in, there is a ton of movement in the ports and this

also makes me worry as they can easily give out one day.

And the last thing I came across is that when you're using the dock to charge your device,

it works perfectly but if you operate your phone while the dock is charging, I noticed

a lot of frame drops on my phone's software.

Now I'm not blaming Amir for this, I just think that it's all down to the devices software.

I have also tried this on my iPad Mini and I haven't noticed that problem at all, so

I think it's software related.

But all in all if I were to recommend this docking station to you.

In my opinion it's a bit of a mixed bag to me.

If you have an Apple Watch and an iPhone then I would recommend it to you but I don't really

like the massive cutout if you were to charge your phone.

If you just want to find a safe place to charge your Apple Watch safely then this is a good

buy.

I do think this dock will complement an office setup as it's small to install on an office

desk and it doesn't take up much space because of its size.

It's also useful if you travel a lot and you move from different offices as it's a small

dock.

If you want to keep your phone and watch in one place then I would also recommend it for

that and for the design, it's amazing with its pure 100% bamboo wood.

For the price it's actually discounted and it's now at £14 or $18 if you're in America.

It used to be at £20, but to be honest I think that's a reasonable price for a docking

station that's made out of real wood and does what it does.

It charges your devices and yes I only bumped into small problems but the dock did what

it did and it was to charge your devices and to have a safe place for them.

But apart from that that's my review of the Amir Phone And Watch Docking Station.

If you want to purchase this docking station, I will leave the Amazon link in the description

for you to purchase it.

If you liked my review of the product be sure to like and share as it would really help

a lot, but I will see you in next week's video and um yeah goodbye.

DreamGEAR Gamer V portable / My Arcade 220 Review - Duration: 42:19.

This is the dreamgear 220 Gamer V portable / My Arcade device I recently purchased at

Target for about $20.

I was intrigued by it and the fact that it had 220 games to play.

Let's take a look at the products description on Target's website.

You see there are a couple of photographs here.

This is the game gear V, portable or the dreamgear 220, myarcade and hear on their website, they

talk about the products features and they have a description.

Soar the skies, solve puzzles, play golf or tennis, and much more.

Gamer V is loaded with 220 fun and easy to play video games!

Simply power on the system and start playing, anywhere, anytime!

The gaming system is perfect at home, in the car, or just about anywhere you can imagine!

Fits easily in your pocket, purse, bag or backpack!

You'll always have your games at your fingertips with the Gamer V!

Features: No console required

Take your games anywhere 220 Video games built-in

Perfect for travel Volume control

Powered by 3 AAA batteries (not included)

The dreamgear 220 takes AAA batteries, and you will need a small phillips head screwdriver

to open up the battery compartment.

My first impression of the unit are that it IS really neat looking and I was impressed

with the graphics and I love the fact that it is small and portable.

When you first power it on using the on/off switch on the back left side of the device,

you are presented with a game selection menu.

Using the D-Pad you can navigate up or down to select a game and left & right to "page"

up or "page" down within the menus.

The unit has an A and B button to use during game play, the "Start" button which will begin

a game and the Reset button which will immediately end the game and return you to the menus.

On the back right side of the device there are two additional buttons for volume up and

volume down.

What I decided to do in this video is show a few seconds, maybe 5 or 6 seconds on each

game, before moving on to the next game, which is why this video is sooo long.

I am reviewing the unit first so that you have all the information you need before bailing

out.

So let's jump into it.

I am about to discuss some criticisms of the device, but don't get me wrong, I am just

pointing out some stuff, I still like the device.

Using the menu system to select a game also shows a quick image preview of what's to come

on the left side.

This really helps, especially since some of the game names are hard to remember.

I love some of the interesting game names on the unit by the way.

At least one game name is truncated in the games menu system which is not obvious until

you start the game.

The volume keeps lowering back down every time you press the reset button.

Also, upon pressing reset, it always goes back to the first page.

It would have been nice if it would return back to the page you were previously on..

Many of the games have introduction or title screens, and some of them are nicely animated.

A few games just jump right in to play mode with no title screen.

After a while all of the games sounds start to blend together, and sound similar between

all of the games.

There are many games on the unit that are repeated with slightly different variations,

such as the swimming games or the whack-a-mole style of games.

There are also several shark-shark and astrosmash style games on the unit.

So although it boasts 220 games, it's kind of an exaggeration.

It would have been great had there been a high score save feature built in to the unit.

That always makes it funner.

Another feature I would have liked would have been the ability to have a favorites list,

so you can keep track of your favorite games on the unit and get to them quicker.

I had high hopes for the manual included with the game, but was quickly disappointed when

I found out it only had a one or two page description of the unit itself, which was

translated into a few different languages.

I could have used instructions for a few of the games.

The least enjoyable games for me on the unit are the card games / Swimming.

Some of the card games have a mouse interface I am just not a fan of that.

My 10 Favorite games on the device in no particular order are:

Cannonade, hexapod war, Lunarian

Greedy, Jig Chick

Jump Jump, Diamond

Defier, Worm Dream and

Mowing

The dreamgear 220 has excellent battery life utilizing three AAA batteries.

I have used it for about 4 or 5 hours and it's it is still going strong.

Most of the games on the device are easy to learn and many are fun to play.

It fits in my hands nicely and of course the portability is a great plus.

I would say the target audience for the device would be mostly children who have not yet been

introduced to a more advanced device like the Nintendo DS.

Having said that, it is still fun to play and I recommend it.

Coming up is a snapshot of all 220 games, about 5 seconds, each , most of what you will

be seeing is my very first attempt at playing the games.
