Healthy eating for people with learning difficulties. - Duration: 3:42.

Hello I'm Annie McDowall, I'm Share's Chief

Executive and I'm here to introduce this film

which is about a potato. It's also

about a man called Edmond and it's about

how Edmond has used technology to

transform his potato into a healthy meal.

Here at Share

we're using technology to help our

students to become more independent.

You're going to see examples of the kind

of technology that we're using such as

our Immersive Learning Space and iPad

technology and also using some really

cool gadgets which help people to

remember what they have to do. I'd like

to introduce you now to my colleague Gabrielle Antoniou

who is our Digital Inclusion Manager.

In the story of Edmond and his potato we've used three different

types of technology that we're currently using here at Share.

The first thing is our Immersive Learning Space.

This is a fantastic interactive learning environment

where students can participate and be hands-on

within their sessions.

The Immersive Learning Space can be used to create

different lighting, sounds, visuals, and movement

which helps cater for the different learning styles

we have here at Share. It helps improve

their confidence in using technology and

I've noticed that students who

wouldn't typically volunteer themselves

and now eager to participate in sessions

This has really helped with their

understanding and I've noticed students

are able to grasp concepts they maybe

struggled with before.

The next piece of technology we use is the iPad and on

there we use a storytelling software called

Pictello. For Edmond's potato we used Pictello

to create a verbal and visual

shopping list. I've supported Edmond in

finding pictures of his ingredients and

then assisted him in typing them up. Edmond

can then use this shopping list

independently in the supermarket and

feel confident that he's got all the

ingredients he needs.

[Computer Voice]: "I need one baking potato."

[Computer Voice]: "I also need a tin of tuna."

The last thing we use is a talking photo

album which provides visual and verbal

instructions for our learners. When creating

the talking photo album I work with

the students to find pictures in line

with the tasks that they'll be doing.

It's's really important they're involved

at this point so that images aren't abstract

to them. I help them sequence the order

of their tasks and then help them record

the instructions using language that's

familiar to them.

This results in a personalised learning

tool that they're able to take away

and use independently.

[Computer Voice]: "Now I'm going to mix the sweetcorn and tuna".

Such technologies help the staff here at Share

really tailor their learning to meet each individual

student's needs. In Edmond's case it was about

building on his confidence and his

independence. For other students it could

be anything from their communication

skills, to developing coping strategies

for stressful situations.

Well I hope you've enjoyed this film about

Edmond in his potato and I hope it's

helped you to see how technology can

help people to develop independent

living skills. Here at Share

we're looking to make the most of

technology to revolutionise how people

live, learn, and communicate.

If you or somebody that you know could benefit

from our courses at Share, please contact us using the links below.

Deepak Obhrai speaks 5 languages… just not French | 22 Minutes - Duration: 3:24.

Candidates in the Conservative Leadership race had their French debate last week

Oh la la, quelle wreck de la train

Ça c'est la 'Deepakesh' de ma campaign.

Merci.

Calgary Forest Lawn MP Deepak Obhrai was the undisputed loser

of the French debate

but his misplaced confidence made him the winner of my heart

He joins us now

Bonsoir Deepak.

Bienvenue à vingt-deux minutes.

Comment ça va

Très bien, très bien, merci. Et vous?

And to your listeners: bonjour madames et messieurs

Oh!

very nice!

Yeah!

Well Deepak, thank you for accepting my invitation

I wasn't sure you would understand what RSVP meant

*chuckles*

During the debate you did kind of look like a kid who walked into an exam that he didn't

know he had

In that clip we saw, you told people to go to your website

www.Deepakobhrai.com, but you actually told people

to go to w-w-w peas deepak obhrai peas dot com

the French love their peas don't they?

Listen, listen, I speak about five languages

So all of those, they do have lanuage issues

And can we hear you say "I promise to speak better French" in a few of those languages?

Indeed, indeed, indeed,

in Swahili: [speaks Swahili]

in Hindi you say: [speaks Hindi]

in Punjabi: "I will learn French"

Very well done

Very well done sir

You have quite the scarf collection

What's the deal with all the scarves?

Well, a lot of people ask me why do I wear a scarf

They ask me if it's a religious thing

and I think no

it is called

Fashion file

You are very fashionable

When it comes to scarves you're like the Conservative Steven Tyler

I love it

Let's look at another clip

Bonsoir, bonsoir, bonsoir

There you repeat "Bonsoir" three times

were you hoping that if you just kept saying good night over and over again

you could convince the audience the debate was over?

Let me just say that the French debate was very important

Alright, I had to be there, because I respect French

You know, I respect Quebec

and I thought you know I have to be there

and I like I said at the debate,

"j'apprend, j'apprend, j'apprend" - I'll be studying, I'll be studying, I'll be studying

Now you came to Canada at the age of 27

Wow, now are you worried that if you don't win the leadership that Kellie Leitch might

try and deport you?

*Laughs*

It's very important for you

More so than anybody else

I think most of the Immigration Ministers in my time

Jason Kenney and everybody else

Have been trying to deport me

But they haven't found a way yet

In closing sir, do you have a French message for the people in Quebec?

Oui, I do Absolutely I do

and that is "Moi politique visiter Deepak point com"

Well sir we are an English show, so not one French person is watching

but thanks for that

Deepak Obhrai - bonne chance mon ami

Merci merci

Bonsoir

Bonsoir, bonsoir

Donald Trump's refugee ban, explained - Duration: 5:24.

This executive order, signed by President Trump,

starts a new policy on refugees and immigration in America.

TRUMP: "And this is the protection of the nation from foreign terrorist entry into the

United States..."

But that's not really what's in this Executive Order.

So let's go through it.

First, the executive order banned all immigrants and visa-holders from seven majority-muslim

countries from entering the US for at least 90 days.

There is no security benefit.

Americans are more likely to be killed by their own clothes than by an immigrant terrorist.

Nobody in the US has been killed in a terrorist attack by immigrants from these particular

7 nations.

But the US is now treating everybody from these countries as if they are a suspect.

Computational biologist Samira Asgari said she now can't come here to work on immunogenomics.

Oscar Winner Asghar Farhadi can't come back to the US for the Oscars, where he's nominated

again.

Sudanese Doctor Suha Abushamma hurried back to the US to begin work at the prestigious

Cleveland Clinic, only to be put back onto a plane out hours later.

But in addition to these travel bans, the executive order also begins a fundamental

shift in American refugee policy.

The order halts nearly ALL refugee admissions for 120 days, and admissions of Syrian refugees

indefinitely.

And it says that in the future, refugees will only be admitted from countries that have

sufficient safeguards in place to "ensure the security and welfare of the United States"

This is the opposite of how the US has defined refugees in the past: people fleeing persecution

and violence that their own governments cannot or will not protect them from.

And this comes at a time when the world faces its biggest refugee crisis since World War II.

1 in 122 people worldwide are displaced.

And those fleeing the largest humanitarian emergency of our time -- the Syrian civil

war -- are the ones singled out by Trump for harsher restrictions.

If you're worried about US terrorist attacks like 9/11, San Bernadino, or the Orlando Pulse

shooting – this Order would have prevented exactly none of them.

But there is an exception for some kinds of refugees.

David Brody, Christian Broadcasting Network: "As it relates to persecuted Christians, do

you see them as kind of a priority here?"

Trump:"Yes.

They've been horribly treated."

The US will allow members of religious minorities in the individual's country of nationality

during the 120 day-ban,

and prioritize them thereafter.

Trump: "Do you know if you were a Christian in Syria, it was impossible, very very, at

least very very tough into the United States.

If you were a Muslim you could come in, but if you were a Christian, it was almost impossible"

In fact, half of refugees in the past few years were Christian.

Refugees from Syria reflected the country's religious composition – almost entirely

muslim.

But all this aligns with Trump's anti-Muslim promises throughout the campaign.

Trump: "Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering

the United States."

Trump spoke about taking an "America First" approach at his inauguration.

Trump: "From this day forward it's going to be only America First.

America First."

This Executive Order shows how much that vision aligns with the original "America First"

movement.

That movement sought American isolationism too – they were against American intervention

in World War II.

That attitude resulted in the infamous decision in June 1939 to turn away the St. Louis.

That ship had 937 jewish refugees aboard, fleeing another hostile government: Hitler's.

First, they were turned away in Cuba.

"The liner St. Louis, turned back from Cuba"

Then they approached Florida, but the US Coast Guard, patrolling the waters, kept them away

too.

They eventually disembarked in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France.

"...Jewish unfortunates without a country permitted to land in Belgium after five weeks

of suspense afloat..."

And eventually hundreds died in the holocaust.

Since then, the US Government has been the world's leader in resettling refugees.

"...They finally reach a haven of safety..."

The State Department website still brags about it, claiming 3 Million refugees re-settled

around all 50 states since 1975.

The statue of liberty bears these goals too: a plaque on the pedestal reads:

"Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

America hasn't always lived up to these lofty goals.

But since World War II, we've lived in an era where the diversity of who gets to come

to America has gone up and up.

And a Federal Judge stayed deportations of those stuck in airports amidst the confusion.

And the Trump administration has already started scaling back.

Reince Priebus, White House Chief Of Staff: "As far as green card holders, moving forward,

it doesn't affect them."

The Trump Administration is trying to end the era when America didn't care what religion

you are.

Regardless where you come from.

Legal challenges and protests around the country continue to try to preserve it.

Delta outage: Delta Airlines systems outage leaves travellers frustrated - Duration: 1:07.

WATCH: Delta outage: Delta Airlines systems outage leaves travellers frustrated. Delta Airlines said it had canceled about 150 flights scheduled for departure on Sunday night or in the early hours of Monday, with more expected, and advised travelers that "not all delays/cancellations are being reflected on Delta systems." Delta's website, which was also down, was restored early on Monday. Earlier an advisory warned of "problems on delta.com and our mobile applications" and recommended that customers needing to check in for flights use airport self-service kiosks or see an agent. Delta issued a waiver for anyone slated to travel on Jan. 29 or 30 and restricted unaccompanied minors from flying the airline until noon on Monday. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said earlier that all the airline's domestic flights were grounded after a request from the company due to an "automation issue." The problem affected all Delta mainline and sub carriers to domestic destinations, but international flights were exempt, the FAA said in an advisory. "Flights in the air remain unaffected. Delta apologizes to customers for the inconvenience," the airline said on Sunday evening after the outage occurred. Several passengers took to Twitter to express their dismay, with some saying they had to wait for hours before being told of the problem. Airports across the country were thrown into chaos after President Donald Trump on Friday put a four-month hold on allowing refugees into the United States and temporarily barred travelers from Syria and six other Muslim-majority countries, saying the moves would help protect Americans from terrorist attacks.

Choi refuses to appear for questioning over bribery allegations - Duration: 2:11.

Turning our focus to the prosecutorial team continuing its probe of the power abuse case

that engulfed the nation.

The team unsuccessfully tried to re-summon the woman at the very heart of the scandal.

Hwang Hojun has the updates from the independent counsel office.

The special investigation team led by independent counsel Park Young-soo plans to seek another

short-term arrest warrant for Choi Soon-sil, the jailed confidante of President Park Geun-hye,

and the woman at the heart of the scandal.

Choi rejected the team's summons to undergo questioning Monday morning over the bribery

allegations against her, criticizing the investigation as coercive.

Choi was not legally obligated to comply with the latest summons, but another warrant could

allow the team to compel her to appear.

"The independent counsel summoned Choi Soon-sil to question her on charges of acceptance of

a bribe for good offices, but she didn't respond and gave no justifiable reason.

We are planning to request a short-term arrest warrant under the same charges within a day

or two."

Choi is alleged to have extorted money and favors from large conglomerates, using her

personal relationship with the president.

"Acceptance of a bribe for good offices" is yet another charge recently uncovered by the

team... in addition to abuse of authority, coercion and bribery.

Some suspect the charge is related to the K-Town project in Myanmar, an official development

assistance program implemented last year; Choi Soon-sil allegedly acquired personal

gains during the process.

The independent counsel summoned the Korean ambassador to Myanmar, Yoo Jae-kyung, on Monday...

to find out what he knows about the allegations.

Meanwhile, the special probe team agained summoned former Culture Minister Cho Yoon-sun

and former presidential chief of staff Kim Ki-choon over allegations that the presidential

office directed the creation and management of a blacklist of cultural figures deemed

critical of the government.

"With the Seollal holiday coming to an end, and the first investigation period end-date

now coming up in a month -- February 28th to be exact -- the team appears to be accelerating

its probe into the influence-peddling scandal.

Fiona: What!

That looked so good

Gwen: What type of chord was that

Hugo: I don't know we'll have to listen to it again

Davis: They're choreography it's really good with the music

Especially when you have a sorta like a thinner instrumentation

Like it kinda just drops out then builds back up

The choreography reflects that really well

Davis: I just can't believe how they're all doing these moves at the same time

Lindsey: Yeah

Gwen: Oh that dance move

Gwen: Oh are they all dead (scarred from B.A.P) Hugo: Oh no

Both: What

Gwen: Oh god 2:30 A.M

Lindsey: Do they like practice the dance all night and then the next day they record the video

so they do it all at once kinda

Umu: I think so (her voice scared me)

Davis: *grunt*

Gwen: I like it when they yell

Hugo: We're just having such a good time it's great

Fiona: This is so cute

Henry: They're all like done for

Both: *intense laughter*

Davis: *Santa Laughter*

Shimon: *Slight giggle*

Davis: That was really funny

Just like. Bam

Gwen: *still laughing*

Davis: Quite the preperation

Oh what

Hugo: Omg they're just like dying for food like

RRAAAWRW

I mean at 2:30 in the morning after that dance routine

Hugo:I would also be dying for food Gwen: Gotta sneeze

Hugo: Bless you

Umu: Achoo

Hah

Oh'

Hah

HAH

Gwen: GOD DANGIT

Henry: Wow

That's so cool that they showed this

Hugo: Damn

Gwen: Oh it's done

Yunyi: Two thumbs up

Fiona: That's so fun

Henry: That's so cool

Shimon: It's cool

I like the whole behind the scenes thing

Lindsey: I liked it

Davis: Yeah I liked it

Lindsey: I was definitely way too focused on the dancing

because it was a dance practice

Davis: Yeah me too

Lindsey: But I also enjoyed the song and how it worked with the dances

Shimon: Wouldn't it suck to be the one that screwed up

Davis: As a debut song. I would call that a success

Lindsey: Me too as well

Henry: Those vocal chords were spicy

I love it

Yunyi: More cowbell

The answer is always more cowbell

Gwen: You were like be sure to comment on their voices

And then we were just like

HUAH HUH UNG HUAH

Umu: AAAAHHHH

Hugo: They are um... vocal

They're very vocal

Kevin aka Christopher Walken: I have a fever

Bu the only prescription is more cowbell

(¬_¬)

Gwen: With these groups. I'm really into the harmony that they do

Hugo: Yeah

Gwen: It's all-

Hugo: That one slide they had

Gwen: And it was all at the same time too

Because portamentos are so messy

Unless you're like

Unless you're like in the 20's in that type of choir then

Hugo: No it is such a sh*t show

Gwen: I'm impressed with that sh*t

Hugo: No that was really good

and then

Gwen: They're sound mixing though

Hugo: No what was really awesome too was that they did a really good job

of not making the noise too cluttered

They were really good about having the harmonies there

and having these thick chords

but then they would take it away and have a single voice

and so you would get that one voice

group of people, one voice with instruments, group of people

and it was just a nice blend of instruments

without it being omg this is a lot

Davis: Whenever I was talking about the thinner instrumentation

and where it was like building back up

that was kind of like yeeahh

Fivee!

And it was like five is gonna

and then

Umu: just AAAHHHHHH

Davis: It didn't really resolve

and then it resolved

so it kinda built up

Lindsey: It was like a dominant prolongation

Davis: Sure

Davis: And I think what that did emotionally for me

was really effective

Hugo: They had some hella high notes too

Gwen: Yeeahhh!!

There was like this one part where everyone was on the ground or something I don't remember

adn this one dude was like

aaahhh

And I was like

(͡ ͡° ͜ つ ͡͡°)

There you go

Hugo: And then during the bridge also they had some high cluster chords

Which was just like

Wuuaah

and it was so cool

Yunyi: Look forward to our

Kevin: Seventeen Pretty U reaction

Both: On Thursday (that was cute)

Ash: What is so funny

Leah: I feel like I'm on an airplane (Leah you aight)

pls enjoy more of davis' santa laugh -umu

EnacFire Nylon Braided Lightning Cable Unboxing - Duration: 5:41.

Hello everyone and welcome back it's

CivilGuy here, and today we have an

unboxing of the 4-pack EnacFire

lightning cable bundle. So this is the

box it comes in a very simplistic it

looks kinda like the the box said the

amazonbasics headphones came in the

in-ear headphones but it's pretty sleek

and pretty simple and i like that i like

the packaging that looks very eco-

friendly and not much to it so you know

it serves a purpose so let's go ahead

and get this thing open

alright and as you can tell here are all

the cables

yeah it looks very organized them every

single cable is in its own separate bag

so i guess that's a that's very cool

interesting in each one of them has

their own little velcro straps

wow there's a little is a little card

and has a little smiley face on it and

basically it says you can give them

feedback and let him know you know

whatever you like the product or if you

don't like the product and last but not

least here's a little extra velcro strap

inside so that's that's about everything

that comes in the box so that's that's

it i'm gonna go ahead and pick one of

these up in and try it out

so here's one of the cables i'm going to

go ahead and take off the velcro and as

you can tell it kind of looks very

familiar it looks just like the Amazon

basics cables that i unboxed a few weeks

ago but he's still different the actual

nylon braid is actually has this plastic

coating over it and so it still slick

but it's still sturdy and strong every

single one of these looks exactly the

same so here's a little montage in the

opening each one of the bags up in the

hand it's a little weighted and I like

this, I don't want a cable that's just

cheap and in feels like it's not going

to last as long as it should and that's

everything out of the box to get one 1 foot

table one 3 foot cable and you're getting two

6 foot cables and also a velcro strap

now here's a close-up view of both ends

of the cable and as you can tell it looks

amazing

they don't look cheap they actually look

like premium built cables

I'm very shocked and surprised now

here's the cable alongside with the

official apple branded cable and like i

said i think the one on the left has a

lot more style a lot more presence it

just gives you that feeling that it's

going to last for a very long time

actually

now here's the test will it work

will it work on my iPhone and the answer

is yes obviously it works now i'm going

to try it out with each one of these

cables and we're going to see how well

they performed ok it works now i'm going

to try it out with the three-foot cable

alright it appears it's working as well

okay i'm going to put that away and i'm

going to go ahead and get the 6 foot

cable and let's see how that one works

let's see if it works

loop it looks like it works to me and

now we're going to take this out and try

the very last cable hopefully this one

works as well and yes it appears that

all four of them are working so that's a

good sign that these are pretty good

cables now I must disclose to my viewers

that yes I was provided these cables

from the company and so far i have to

say i'm being fully transparent here

these are good cables they seem very

very sturdy very very strong i'm going

to test them out over the next couple

months to see if they still last as long

as they should and hopefully if they

passed the test but based on first

impressions i will say that they are

great and hey if you're interested there

is a discount code located down below in

the description you can actually save

quite a bit of money on the regular

price of this is like $19.99 you can get

these cables for $11.99 with that discount

code down below so be sure to use that

on your amazon account and yeah I think

that's about it

as always thank you everybody for taking

the time to watch this video i really

want to say thank you thank you thank

you because a few my other videos have

been doing so well I did not expect to

reach over a thousand hits in just a short

amount of time that is just mind-blowing

right now but i really want to say thank

you thank you very much and please let

me know what you think by leaving a

comment down below and if you found this

video helpful leave a thumbs up and if
