Save Some Ammunition for the Final Days - Duration: 2:33.
In recent weeks we've been discussing timeless lessons from the 2016 election.
Today another…about the timing of attacks you may launch on your opponent.
Mrs. Clinton was given gifts of gold by the Trump campaign…his words, his bizarre behavior,
his course language.
Her oppo research team mined even more.
She had friendly media outlets all too willing to highlight every morsel her oppo research
team found.
MSNBC, The New York Times, Washington Post and CNN.
Donald Trump was the classic definition of an oppo researcher's dream…the ammunition
was so plentiful that they had trouble deciding when to fire it.
So the Clinton Team fired all of it.
Early in the campaign.
Why was that a mistake?
Heading into the final three week stretch, the Clinton Team had no fresh cannons left
to fire.
Nothing left in the arsenal when the FBI Director's letter hit 11 days
before the election.
Nothing left to shoot when undecided voters began moving in
Trump's direction.
No incriminating footage left to leak to the Washington Post.
Something else happened during the final stage the Clinton Team did not anticipate.
Trump's staff took away his twitter toy.
And forced him to read scripted words from a teleprompter.
When Trump's staff managed to stop him from sabotaging his own campaign…Clinton
had nothing left to throw him off balance.
So what's the timeless lesson for candidates running for office?
Politics is civilized warfare.
It requires wartime thinking.
Nobody should run for office without reading the Art of War by Sun Tzu.
A campaign is never over until its over.
Candidates who try to sit on a lead nearly always lose.
In a campaign, inventory all your oppo research, organize all of your ammunition…and always…always
save some of your best hits for the final stages of the campaign to keep your opponent
off balance.
That is one of the most basic rules of political warfare.
This issue is just one of several topics I have covered in my new Ebook,
"10 Timeless Lessons from the 2016 election."
It's free.

California clears hurdle for cancer warning label on Roundup | Useful info - Duration: 3:57.
California clears hurdle for cancer warning label on Roundup.
please leave your comment after watching this video.
FRESNO, Calif.
- California can require Monsanto to label its popular weed-killer Roundup as a possible
cancer threat despite an insistence from the chemical giant that it poses no risk to people,
a judge tentatively ruled Friday.
California would be the first state to order such labeling if it carries out the proposal.
Monsanto had sued the nation's leading agricultural state, saying California officials illegally
based their decision for carrying the warnings on an international health organization based
in France.
Monsanto attorney Trenton Norris argued in court Friday that the labels would have immediate
financial consequences for the company.
He said many consumers would see the labels and stop buying Roundup.
"It will absolutely be used in ways that will harm Monsanto," he said.
After the hearing, the firm said in a statement that it will challenge the tentative ruling.
Critics take issue with Roundup's main ingredient, glyphosate, which has no color or smell.
Monsanto introduced it in 1974 as an effective way of killing weeds while leaving crops and
plants intact.
It's sold in more than 160 countries, and farmers in California use it on 250 types
of crops.
The chemical is not restricted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which says
it has "low toxicity" and recommends people avoid entering a field for 12 hours after
it has been applied.
But the International Agency for Research on Cancer, a Lyon, France-based branch of
the U.N.
World Health Organization, classified the chemical as a "probable human carcinogen."
Shortly afterward, the most populated U.S. state took its first step in 2015 to require
the warning labels.
St. Louis-based Monsanto contends that California is delegating its authority to an unelected
foreign body with no accountability to U.S. or state officials in violation of the California
Constitution.
Attorneys for California consider the International Agency for Research on Cancer the "gold standard"
for identifying carcinogens, and they rely on its findings along with several states,
the federal government and other countries, court papers say.
Fresno County Superior Court Judge Kristi Kapetan still must issue a formal decision,
which she said would come soon.
California regulators are waiting for the formal ruling before moving forward with the
warnings, said Sam Delson, a spokesman for the state Office of Environmental Health Hazard
Assessment.
Once a chemical is added to a list of probable carcinogens, the manufacturer has a year before
it must attach the label, he said.
Teri McCall believes a warning would have saved her husband, Jack, who toted a backpack
of Roundup for more than 30 years to spray weeds on their 20-acre avocado and apple farm.
He died of cancer in late 2015.
"I just don't think my husband would have taken that risk if he had known," said Teri
McCall, one of dozens nationwide who are suing Monsanto, claiming the chemical gave them
or a loved one cancer.
But farmer Paul Betancourt, who has been using Roundup for more than three decades on his
almond and cotton crops, says he does not know anyone who has gotten sick from it.
"You've got to treat it with a level of respect, like anything else," he said.
"Gasoline will cause cancer if you bathe in the stuff."

Cressida Cowell on the different books for babies - Duration: 4:26.
A kid is never too young to be read to
Books read to you in your parents voice live with you all your life
If you start them young you can get them going on a lifetime of reading
Even though babies won't understand what you're saying...
... it's good to sit them down on your lap and read them story
I find reading rhymes to babies is very good
They like the rhythm and rhyme of a story
You can get them to enjoy books when they're very young
I'm now going to demonstrate with a real baby to show you this
Babies are all different What kind of baby do you have?
Some babies are only interested in eating books. 'look, The Very Hungry Caterpillar'
This is why board books are very good...
...because they can eat them and with a book like this...
... the baby can start to turn the pages and put their fingers through these holes
And the baby will enjoy that even if they're too young to enjoy the story
or you could take a book like this book or this book
which are books that have textures on them
'Yes, you can feel the texture of the Hugless Douglas there'
The baby is very close to you and he's learning that books are something...
...nice that he can explore and touch and taste
'Yes, that's Hugless Douglas' and then you can read the story to them
Some babies are very into pop-up books
This is a pop-up book that the baby can enjoy. 'Yes, yes'
The baby can enjoy turning that flaps. 'What this? Sue can make a lot of noise, tidying up her favourite toys.'
'Do you want to lift the flap?'
'Yes, look - you can do it. Can you lift the flap?'
And the baby is learning that books are something exciting
And if you tunr the page something exciting might happen
Noah is very into that book
Another book that's very useful with babies is a rhyming book
This is a very successful book with my children, my little babies
You can see it's covered in food and it's been well chewed
'Mr Brown can moo - can you?'
You might want to get your baby...
...very close like this on your lap...
...So he can hear your voice and he can hear you saying the words
'Moo, oh the wonderful sounds Mr Brown can do...
... he can sound like a cow...
... he can go MOO... MOO!'
'He can sound like a bee...
... Mr. Brown can come Buzz - how about you? Can you go BUZZ... BUZZ?'
'Boom boom! Mr. Brown is a wonder. Boom boom! Mr. Brown makes thunder'
'He makes lightning - sclat, sclat, scalt. And it's very hard to make a noise like that.'
You can see by reading books with rhyme that Noah is hearing the rhythm of the words and how he's enjoying the story
In this case he's not even eating the book or touching the book
He's just enjoying the story

Patreon / DIY Download / $2 $7 $12 Subscriptions / Haircuts and PO Box Goals - Duration: 6:37.
Ok so I'm just going to do a little update video on the main channel as I don't think
I'm going to have time to produce as much stuff on here in the next sort of month or so.
What I'm doing is working on a CNC machine
and also a control box for that CNC machine, on my other channel.
I'll just show you them now.
That's the machine there and that's the control box there - it's very cool.
So some of you know I have a second channel and what I decided to do on that particular
channel is concentrate on making a CNC machine.
I also created a Patreon page for that particular channel where I said to subscribers that if
you commit a certain amount of money I'd also provide some of the documents to help me make
my machine for free - or for no additional cost mainly.
What I quickly realised was after I split the two channels up I began to use the CNC
machine more and more on the machine channel as a tool and that (initial) decision didn't
feel as appropriate.
In any-case what I want to do is use a basic subscription which will be $2 on a patreon
page which I will share between the two channels, and provide additional material for anyone
who is interested in replicating some of the projects I will doing in the future.
It's going to be quite difficult to backtrack to some of the early projects as I have very
little documentation of how I assembled and went about realising some of my ideas other
then the videos themselves.
I'll just read the blurb out which will be on the patreon page just to make it a little
more clearer as to what I am doing.
Hi and thanks for checking the Patreon page for my YouTube Channels MiscPro and EducatingSavvas.
Between the two channels I produce videos about making – whether that is making hand tools,
or machine tools, CNC machines,
or random projects like an egg cup holder made from 47 species of veneer.
There are also other random projects including the cam clamp which I will retrospectively
putting up the files to make these up on Patreon.
Here you can support the continued programming
of these channels, by subscribing and committing a small amount of money for each video I produce.
I recommend $2 as a starting subscription, which will get you access to supporting material
for relevant projects and a channel sticker.
But if you can commit more, then that would mean more in return.
$7 will get you an additional channel mouse mat and automatic inclusion into regular give
away competitions – which will include limited edition items made and featured on my videos.
One example which I think would be a nice little artefact to give away is the hinge
mechanism for the radial arm saw that I made some time ago.
For $12 will get you all of the above plus a physical manual outlining my current CNC
project once that's completed.
So there's not really many big ones.
I'm not going to try and seduce you with one on one skype sessions and personalised voice-mails
and weird things like that.
I've also listed some quite simple goals for us to reach and the first has already been reached
which is for $15 I will get a nice haircut every month so the videos won't look to weird
from one to the other as I get more and more dishevelled.
And the next one is the accumulation of that previous goal and cost of a monthly direct
debit to set up a PO-box address so you can send me weird stuff, and I think that would
be quite interesting to do just because it adds an element of uncertainty to some of
the content coming into the workshop.
So no anthrax please, or asbestos or anything disgusting like that.
Errmaybe the first thing I do is make an isolation box for stuff thats coming in the post.
so to recap by becoming a Patreon, you have a say in future videos, and I have a reason
not to deviate from the channel format which is already quite deviant.
I will share project files associated with my videos to Patreons at no additional cost.
You can then also win items made and featured on my videos.
The support you provide means I can commit time, fund future projects, clear with workshop
from time to time, and ultimately producing the content you enjoy watching.
So thanks for taking the time to watch this video and I hope you are susceptible to the bate.

THE WEEKND - STARBOY, COVER BY CHRIS DENNIS ROSENBERG
Look what you done I am tryna put you in the worst mood ah
P1 cleaner than your church shoes ah
Ah Hey there guys, My name is CHRIS DENNIS ROSENBERG
and welcome to my channel umh today's video is going to be you know
quite different from what I do normally which is cover songs and you know stuff like that
umh today's video is going to be you know a little bit of ah a buying guide and a guide
and umh a tutorial a kind of like tour of my (awkward laugh) studio but umh
I don't really have a dedicated room so I I wouldn't pro... (STARTS MUMBLING and laughs
awkwardly) I have like a mobile studio so I am just going
to show you the equipment and umh what I use and tell you why I got it and umh how much
it was Amazon, you know that's where I got it from
so yeah umh I use the PreSonus iTwo Studio Bundle PreSonus
Audiobox iTwo Studio Bundle It's from PreSonus umh ah it was from like
ah we a friend of mine got it for me from Amazon
umh it was €189,00 (ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY NINE EUROS) if I remember correctly and umh
the reason why I got it actually ah why I made this choice is because I kind of like
I was kind of like really new to this world umh not too new but like in terms of wanting
to be st.. to to feel safe about what I gh... I got and what I was using there were so many
other and usually expensive means good but you can never really be too sure so you don't
want to spend that much money on something will disappoint you in the end
(Breathes in) so I went out I went for PreSonus because its what I knew, before I went
out on my own I umh I used to record with a friend of mine and he had ah a PreSonus
you know pack just like this one but it was I think the previous version
so I felt like it was really good he you know had like positive things to say about it and
when I was using it to record it was you know really good and umh (Clears throat)
I I decided to umh you know get this, it was affordable in my opinion
So... that's a picture of my entire setup. The laptop I use is the Asus X556U and I am
calling it "Aaasus" because I found out I used... I I found out that umh the company
actually put out I don't know kind of like a message or whatever so it's on Google
and umh Wikipedia and blah blah blah and it's supposed to be pronounced "Aaasus" so for
those of you who call it "Eeesas" or "Eeesus" I am sorry, to each their own but I decided
to follow what the company you know decided to call it you know so it's easier that
way anyway
so that the the the setup is you know you get a ah Headphones with a Pouch, Microphone
with a Pouch, the Audio... actual Audiobox, the Manual and the Cables - the USB Cable
and the XLR Cable so lets get into it.
So first we're going to talk about the Audiobox iTwo itself and umh it's a it's a really
tiny little box and it's really great for travel...
I, this is not a paid promotion becau... it I wish it was but I like for those of you
who actually really want to use it's for like you know the mobile part of it, it's
great I use it because it's you know umh affordable
and I don't really have the space so I I I went for you know a smaller footprint so...
But for those of you who travel and all that you're going to really love this,
It connects to iPad and I guess other tablets but it's great for travel, it's great
for people with you know ve...ver... limited room so I love it and I haven't it's not
too hard to get I mean the the knobs and the buttons so easy to catch on
and umh I am going to be showing you how to connect it to the laptop, to YOUR laptop,
using my laptop (Awkward laugh) so anyway umh...
The umh this box it comes with umh a USB type, USB 2.0 I I don't know if I should say type
2 but USB 2.0 and the other end I think it is USB B, the the end that connects into the
Audiobox so... it comes with a USB so you got that handled
and it has 2 (two), 2 (two) umh Inputs I should say umh I think, I don't know if they are
line, I hope they are because I'll really sound dumb
I told you I don't really know so much about the technical bit but...
I know how to work it I don't what they are called to be honest but anyway it comes with
two inputs for a umh for the microphone and for a guitar
They can be used you know two guitars or two microphones or you know whatever so...
Then it has the umh the the power button for the fff... 48V (Forty Eight Volts) for the
Phantom Power for the Microphone then it has the umh the instrument you know there's a
tiny guitar with you know two buttons and all that
Then the knobs are for mixing and for volume for the instrument and umh there's a big knob
for I I guess general output I am sorry I am not so sure but I think I've used it I've
just forgotten right now and umh then there's the headphone jack and the headphone knob.
So now I am going to show you how to connect it with the tiny USB right there umh forgive
you know it's shaky and it's not I don't really have a head cam I was using my phone
one hand for the phone one hand for you know unwrapping it all and stuff like that.
So that end goes into your laptop and that's the 2.0 so that you you put that into your
laptop umh and then connect the other end into the Audiobox that's the USB B part
of it I think Oh and the the two, you see the two circular
kind of like inputs they're for MIDI connection so MIDI Input and Output that's really cool
like for something this small it's and they went out for like umh the old kind of thing
not USB like USB input so you can have the MIDI in and MIDI out but most MIDI Keyboards
right now have like USB cables so you might have to get the connection for that so thats
you know that's how it looks like.
And once you've powered it up by connecting to the laptop actually the only power it needs
is your laptop's power there's no extra connection, it works perfectly.
Ah one more thing I forgot to mention is that umh there's like when I said "you see the
two circular kind of like inputs", there's actually two sets; one the extremely big one,
the wider ones are for the MIDI and there there tinier ones which are for for the Mains
like ah if you have Monitors and stuff like that so you connect them in and ah you know
you can get more output and stuff like that. That is really cool I mean this thing is really
small you actually need to see it to believe it there's tons of inputs and outputs and
that's fascinating to me so if you really need something with a small footprint but
it can, you know it gives you a bang for your buck this is it, I truly believe this is it
so yeah.
Now moving onto the XLR cable which is ah the standard for Microphones so some microphones
now have USB but the USB aspect won't work with this Audiobox so it's it has to be
an XLR cable. So that goes into the front in one of the
two a like ah inputs I told you about one for a Microphone and one for Instrument.
It has a tiny you know kind of like button you have to press that and it de- detaches
yes detaches so that will help you with the Microphone it will stick it into the Microphone
and it will stick there it won't come out. Those are the two inputs I was talking about,
yeah they are line input yeah I was right I think so I yeah I was right, now I am sure,
I was right (Awkward laugh). So that that end is for the microphone and
then the other input is for a Guitar. You can use, you can either use both of them
for Guitar or Microphones whatever works.
Now we are going for the microphone, that the Microphone comes in a pouch. Faux leather
I think, don't get you know nuts, it's it's not real leather (Awkward laugh) sorry but
umh yeah it looks really cool and it helps you know keep it safe from dust and stuff
like that so... You get that microphone so it comes with that
that thing for clipping onto the microphone stand, I don't know what it's called you
know don't sue me but I know how to use it so I think that that counts for something.
That's the tiny button I was talking about, the metallic one so you place it in there
you make sure they are perfectly aligned, so you press that and it will clip the...
when you're packing it up it will clip the cable together just like you saw it in the
beginning and when you're putting into the microphone, you press it you hold onto it
and umh it will stick in and then it will keep the microphone from falling or keep the
cable from falling out of the microphone which is great and I it's a condenser microphone,
it's a I think it's a cardioid microphone so what that basically means is it will take
input from one, it will form a kind of like thing, a virtual kind of like circle and it
will take input from that the the front so make sure to use it from the front where you
know all the the the branding and all that is is is...
and you know that that's it and once you connect it you press the Phantom Power button
to make sure that it will work when you are you know recording.
And now we're moving onto the Headphones with their pouch now umh well this is not faux
leather clearly but umh well the the great thing is that I actually really love the Headphones
they're not because it's a bundle you kind of expect some of the parts to you know give
you away, I would, the truth is, the absolute truth is if I could right now I would replace
the Microphone because definitely there are better Microphones out there I won't lie but
this microphone is really great and it's it does the trick especially if you have an
acoustic... you know an acoustically treated room. However moving onto the Headphones sorry
I you know I veered off but the Headphones the reason why I remembered the Microphone
is because I keep my Pop Filter in the Headphones' pouch so the the umh the Pop Filter actually
did not come with this bundle, this was from a previous Microphone that another friend
of mine bought for me and umh I mean of course the the Pop Filter could be better yeah exactly
now we're into the Pop Filters. The one on... the Pop Filter with the you know the bendy
thingie whatever sorry and the metallic bit, that is the one I wish I had, not the specific
one but the kind the model I guess, not the brand, not whatever cuz I don't know that
but it's the one I wish I had, those ones are better they give you enough space away
from the microphone. But anyway... that's what I suggest you get,
that kind of Pop Filter.
So now moving on now I am showing you how to connect the Headphones. That's the headphone
jack right there and the but.. the knob that's exactly directly above it above the headphone
jack is the one you need to use to adjust the gain and the volume of the Headphones.
And that's how the entire setup looks like once you know everything's done...
Well the Pop Filter isn't on the Microphone (Awkward laugh) it needs to be on there because
it it deals with the plosives just like right now like if your if you've you know fully
listened to and watched this video and listened carefully, you'll hear some plosives because
my pop filter is not so great and you know for recording voice overs and audio you need
to be as close to the microphone as you can be so you know you can't help with that you
just have to be close so anyway umh the pop filter does you know it helps with the plosives
that's the Ps the "PPPP" and the "SSSS" and all that so it's a definite, it's
definitely really great you have to get a Pop Filter that's you know it's a must,
you have to get one.
However then you need a microphone stand some not not specifically from PreSonus exactly
there are bundles online where you know people have kind of built them themselves so you
get a microphone stand and a pop filter you know I think if you actually really look at
that those bundles really great umh and umh they'll be great because they save you time
and all so you know try looking out for those or you can get your own microphone stand,
the one I got isn't so great so I'll have to replace that soon so yeah ah...
that's it and I hope you know this Tutorial/Guide/Buying Guide is helpful for you.
I was, when I was tryna you know start to create this I wen... I went online and I was
trying to find you know like people who were new to this like you know it kind of helps
to be you don't really need a professional sometimes you need someone who's like you
know new to something as you are so it kind of helps they know what will work as.. ah
