Waching daily Jan 1 2017

Hi again everyone, and welcome back to 'One

English Tip in One Minute for Speakers

of Indian Languages'...and there are many.

In these videos each week I show, in

detail, one common English mistake made

by people in India, and I go through

those mistakes and talk about them...and

this is video number 12.

As always, nice going for working on and

trying to improve your English. I totally

admire and respect it

In these videos I show you a slide,

and on the slide there are two sentences:

One is correct - and it's the way a native

English speaker would say it - and the other is

wrong and it's the way many people in

India might say it. Your task is to

decide which one is correct.

You almost positively have to pause the

video and think about the answer. So,

read the sentences, listen to what I say

and try to come up with the right answer.

I will talk about the right answer

in the slide that follows this slide.

So if you got it, great. If you did so

with confidence, even better. You don't

have to really think about this maybe so

much. But if you got it wrong -- or you took

a wild guess and just got it right -- then

it means you need to work on this a

little bit...and you're like many other

people in India, so it's not a big deal.

Study these sentences I give you in the

following slide, review them, put them

into practice and keep working on it

until the bad English is out of your

head, and the good English is in.
