3 VUCA leadership skills for the future - Duration: 5:07.

Hi, have you heard of this term called VUCA (V-U-C-A)?

Do you want to know how to embrace the VUCA future? If yes, this video is for you.

Hi, my name is Dickson. And today I want to share with you

what is VUCA? Why you need to pay attention to that and what are the three

leadership skills that you need to pick up to

embrace yourself for the VUCA future?

Before I proceed, can I suggest that you click the subscribe or the follow button, so that you can receive

more content for me. Now, what is VUCA? VUCA basically is a term to describe

the

chaotic future, so VUCA (V-U-C-A) stands for... V stands for

volatile,

U stands for uncertain,

C stands for complex and A stands for ambiguous.

That means our

future is

increasingly of VUCA - increasingly volatile, increasingly uncertain, increasingly complex and

increasingly ambiguous. That applies to the social world, that applies to the business world and that applies to the

economies as well.

So, what is the best strategy that you can

embrace the VUCA future? Let me share with you three tips. If you are a leader, you want to

pick up three leadership skills in preparation for the VUCA future. The first one is you have to embrace this

leadership skill call the

"speed trumps perfection".

Speed trumps perfection.

So that is the number one leadership skill that you need to pick up for yourself, because you have to change your mindset.

You have to aim for speed, rather than perfection. In the traditional business world, we aim for perfection.

We want to make sure that we have the best product,

have the best strategy before we launch something to the market. But that no longer works in

the VUCA world. In the VUCA world, speed is super

important. If you are leader, make sure that you help yourself and help your team embrace

this mindset "speed trumps perfection".

That means make sure that you do something quickly - hash something out, launch something out. Speed is super important.

So that's number one skill. The second skill that you can pick up is

to embrace this

"constant beta" mindset. "Constant beta" - so what does that mean? That means

once you launch something to the marketplace , make sure that you keep on improving

the current product that you're

making available to the market. So that means you have to make

continuous improvement on your current version of products and services. That's why we call it the "constant beta" mindset.

So that means you probably need to launch a multiple version of your product like version 1, version 2, version 3,

version 4 and so on so forth. That is you have to keep on improving, you have to

keep on making the things better. This is what we call a "constant beta" mindset. Make sure that

yourself and your team is always on the tiptoe of innovation, on the tiptoe of

continuous improvement. So that's the number two.

Last but not least,

the leadership skill you need to pick up is to make sure that you

embrace the fast learning and fast unlearning. Fast learning and fast unlearning.

So what does that mean? That means you have to make sure that you and your team always learn new things fast

but, at the same time,

you also need to help yourself and your team unlearn things.

That means you have to dump away those like old mindsets, old ways of doing things. Because

the marketplace is changing so fast. The traditional thinking, the traditional way of doing things, the traditional work processes might not work

the next month. So make sure that you embrace the fast learning and fast unlearning.

So to recap - what are the three leadership skills that you need to pick up if you want to

embrace the VUCA future?

Number one, make sure that

you aim for speed. Speed trumps perfection.

And number two, have a "constant beta" mindset and number three, fast learning & fast unlearning.

In Today's video we will be seeing how to prepare palak paneer gravy

It goes well with roti , naan , chapathi

1 big cup of spinach

200 gm of paneer

2 sliced big onion

2 sliced tomato

turmeric powder

red chilly powder

coriander powder

cumin powder

garam masala

cumin seeds

4 garlic and small sized ginger

in a boiling water add the spinach and cook for 2 mins

separate the spinach and keep it aside

we will use the boiling water for cooking later

add some cold water immediately otherwise spinach color will change darker

allow the spinach to cool

in a pan add 1 spoon butter

add 1/2 spoon cumin seeds

add ginger and garlic

add onion

onion is cooked golden brown now add tomato

once the tomato are cooked switch off the flame and allow it to cool

in a blender add the cooked spinach along with cooked tomato , onion and make it into fine paste

add 1 spoon of butter and 1 spoon of oil

add 1 spoon red chilly powder

1/2 spoon turmeric powder

1 1/2 spoon coriander powder

1/2 spoon cumin powder

mix well

add the spinach ,onion,tomato paste

add water required for the gravy ( use the water which we use to boil the spinach )

dont add too much water this recipe should be semi gravy

add required salt

let it cook for 5 mins

add garam masala 1/2 spoon

add paneer cubes and mix gently

cook for 2 mins

switch off the flame

add small pieces of paneer and some butter

Tasty Palak paneer gravy is ready

it goes well with naan, roti, chapathi and rice
