STATE WILDFIRE UPDATE for July 31, 2018 - Duration: 3:55.
Hi I'm Bryan May in the Cal OES newsroom, today is Tuesday July 31st, another day
close to thirteen thousand personnel fighting more than a dozen wildfires up
and down California we're gonna update you on some of the largest ones in the
state. Now joining me to talk about today's updated fire numbers,
Battalion Chief Lucas Spelman with CAL FIRE, Lucas first of all thank you very much for
joining us today I appreciate it
Thank You Bryan
yes we've had hundreds of fires throughout the state in this month of
July and right now we have 15 large major fires that are burning throughout
the state, we're going to speak about the four major ones that we have, obviously
in the south the Cranston Fire it's in Riverside County it's over 13,000 acres
but it's 82% contained which is great because we're starting to actually put a
containment of full containment on that fire particular, there's 1257 fire
personnel on that fire right now, also we have the Ferguson Fire which is in the
Mariposa County area there's 57,846 acres
it's 33 percent contained we have almost 4,000 personnel on that
fire and they're continuing to work with that, also in the Mendocino complex which
is in Mendocino and Lake Counties it's almost 75,000 acres and
it's only 12 percent contained that fire is definitely burning on both areas
which is the River and also the Ranch fire both of those fires have 2015
personnel on that fire, and then the Carr fire in Shasta County which is
110,154 acres it's only 27% contained and we have almost 4,000
personnel on that fire with that fire we do have some concerns because there's a
lot of smoke in the air but there isn't as much fire that people can see the
fire is still burning rapidly up into the areas so we just ask everybody to
maintain their awareness of what's going on around them and if they feel unsafe
that they need to evacuate the area.
Lucas weather plays such a huge role in
what you guys at CAL FIRE do can you talk about the conditions moving forward this week.
Well the weather is getting a little bit cooler but it we're not out
of the woods yet it's still going to be hot, dry
the weather conditions are impacting the firefighters and so as we look forward
to this week we just ask people not to be complacent even though it's a little
bit cooler this is still well within that wildfire burning conditions and so
we just continue to ask people to be cautious of what they're doing and try
to maintain anything that they do outside maybe no later than 10 o'clock
in the morning
And weather aside what are some of the other challenges you see
going forward?
Well right now the firefighters are getting tired mentally
and physically and so we hope that we can knock some of these fires out so we
can get some of them back home get them some rest we do have firefighters coming
throughout the other states in the United States which is really going to
lend a helping hand to us across all these fires
Any advice to people who are
living in the areas that that either are or could be affected by wildfires?
well we have the program ready set go right now anybody that's in the affected area
I would ask them to be in the set portion of that which means that you'd
have everything that's ready you would have it in your vehicle and if something
happens or you are evacuated by law enforcement all you have to do is really
put your pets in their crates and key in the ignition and drive away
Lucas Spelman thank you very much for joining us today and giving us that
information on these fires. thank you. for more information on any of the fires
across the state you can log on to the incident page on Cal Fire's website
that's fire.ca.gov, also if you can go on Facebook if you're in Shasta County the
sheriff's office in Shasta County has just released an interactive map you can
check to see if your house was either damaged or affected by the car fire for
Luca Spelman with CAL FIRE all of us at Cal OES and all of our local state and
federal partners I'm Bryan May thanks for watching

Find values for box and whisker plot - Duration: 4:52.
Hello! We are going to be finding the values needed for box and whisker plots
which involves finding the lowest value highest value the first quartile value
the median value and the upper quartile value to find the lowest value you can
use a function minimum and so until C 23 I'm going to type in equals and my end
for the minimum function then I'm going to select the values I want to find the
minimum of then I will hit enter
similarly I can do that for them the highest value which is the maximum
function it's also I've been equals m ax into x LC 27 and I will select the
values to find the maximum value in that particular list and then hit enter for
the other three values I need to make sure that the the numbers I have are in
order so I'm going to select all those values I'm going to click on the data
tab then we have a sort from the smallest of the greatest then from here
I'm going to start with the median which is Q 2 to find the median I'm going to
type in equals median that's enough a function in Excel open parenthesis then
I'm going to select all the data then I will hit enter now you will notice that
this first column has an even amount of data so the median 74.4% is not listed
in there but that's okay it tells me where to find that location
which is between the 10 the 11th values in the list to find the
lower quartile q1 will find the median again but we have to find the median of
the upper half of the data and we'll repeat this process for the upper
quartile except we'll find the median of the upper half of the data now that
worked out very well when we have an even amount of data now we're going to
do this similar thing except for this time we're going to be using an odd of
meter amount of data so lowest value is an equal minimum let's just select all
the data and enter highest value it's going to be the maximum again so we
equals max open parentheses select all the data we'll hit enter once again I
need to make sure that the data is in order for the other quartiles so I'm
going to sort it by selecting it click on sort
I will first find the median value so equals median open print the see I
select my data and hit enter in this case there was an odd amount of data so
forty-nine point four five happens to be in the list and I'm going to shade that
cell to indicate that I need to leave it out when I find the median of the upper
half of the data and the lower half of the data so for the lower half and once
again loop equals and then median in parentheses and it's like every value
that is smaller than the median of all the day
hit enter in the upper quartile I'm going to repeat that except for it's
going to be for the upper half of the data and then hit enter and that is how
we found those five values whether you have an even amount of data or an odd
amount of data. If you have questions please contact your instructor.

Sales Tips: Efficiently Execute Your Account Based Playbook for Your Team - Duration: 1:54.
Hey guys, this is Patrick McGill here at SalesLoft.
Today I'm going to talk to you about a team-wide approach to account-based sales.
While your team is already working tirelessly to connect with new accounts and close deals
that are already in the pipeline, there are some ways for technology to make life a lot
easier for reps on a day to day basis.
Let's discuss three ways we can make your team's account-based strategy more effective.
A cornerstone of a sales professional's job is to implement and execute a playbook
to connect with your ideal customer.
For most teams, this playbook includes when and how to reach out to that ideal customer.
With the playbook developed, now half the battle is to get the reps to stick to it.
That way you can measure success.
What's helped us overcome this here is Team Cadences, handing the rep the playbook, and
a way to execute on it immediately.
The beauty of Team Cadences is you can hand a new rep everything they need to be successful,
but you can also measure those successes not just for a new rep, but for all of the reps
at the same time.
Now that your reps have a playbook and a vehicle to execute it, let's dive into the specific
plays.
As you call, email and execute other steps in Team Cadences, it can be challenging to
know what's working.
With Team Templates, your entire team can execute on the same email-specific plays.
If you want to give your reps a little more flexibility, they still have the option of
toggling over to their own personal cadences, to execute on their own plays.
This entire process gives you higher visibility into what's working and what's not.
While you execute on specific plays, you'll find yourself doing the same things over and
over again, like sending the same content or sharing the same meeting credentials.
The beauty of Team Snippets is you can use a snippet that anyone on your entire team
has made, giving you access to more content to pull from.
Eliminating these manual repetitive tasks gives you more time to focus on your plays.
Thanks for watching.
Hope you picked up a few tips to help speed up your day.

EVERYDAY DEWY MAKEUP FOR DRY SKIN - Duration: 10:22.
Hello my fellow humans and welcome to my Youtube channel. My name is Angela. And this is...
this be it. Yeah. So for today's looking I am going to be doing my everyday natural makeup.
It's really dewy and it's perfect for dry skin. To start off, I'm gonna prime my face
with the Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer.
I made sure to put on sunscreen. And I am a
Fool and I use like, actual sunscreen. Because it's like really high SPF. I'm lucky enough
that it doesn't make me break out or anything so that's why I just... I use it even though
I shouldn't. I don't recommend if you have acne prone skin. I use my Maybelline Fit Me
in color 118 because they finally have warm shades. And I just dab. Sorry, I have a mirror
back there, that's what I'm always looking at. Bring it down to your neck. I use two
different ways to blend this. I use this Morphe brush, that came in a kit. So, it doesn't
have a number, it's one of the pretty ones. It was cheaper to get that than to buy the
individual brushes. And i am cheap so... I am going to go over it with a beauty blender
just to blend everything together. For concealer, I'm using the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer
in the shade Almond. And a little goes a long way with this stuff. So, I just wipe off the
sides and do a little dot under here and here... and here and then little bit there because
I'm breaking out a little bit. I really like the concealer because it blends super easily
and as long as you don't use a lot, it gives you a nice airbrushed finish but without looking
crazy heavy. And that's why I think it's good with the Maybelline Fit Me, because the Maybelline's
really light. To set it all, I use my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. So, I take a bit
on my beauty blender. Like that much and go under my eyes where the concealer is and just
pat it in. Just so this area is more matte and not super shiny and it doesn't crease.
And then I use a fluffy brush also from Morphe and just pat around my face, just to "set"
everything. The Laura Mercier Powder is really good for dry skin cause it doesn't quite set
everything. I noticed it's kind of... like it leaves my foundation feeling tacky. Like
it's not quite.... matte-fying. I don't know, I guess, i don't need matte-fying. But it's
one of those things. So for my neck and my forehead, I use my Cody Airspun Powder, and
I just put it on my neck. And I found this really helps set my neck so it doesn't get
on my clothes anywhere. Next, I am going to bronze my face. And I use my New York Color
Bronzing Face Powder. I'm pretty sure it's one of those dupes for the Hoola Bronzer by
Benefit. But I haven't used that so *I don't know noise*. And I made sure to bronze like
right on my cheekbones so it gives my face a more elevated look. These lights make my
makeup look great! Oh gosh. And then I also put some on my forehead and jawline. I do
not like my jawline at all but sometimes that's just how it's gotta be. Also my acne is showing,
I don't care. This is a natural makeup look. So for blush, I am using the Tarte Paaarty
and this Morphe brush. Perfect! I forgot to contour my nose. So to contour my nose, I
use the same bronzer powder. And I just follow my nose line. And then I blend with the same
brush I used to blend my neck. To set my eyes, I'm gonna being using the Maybelline Pressed
Powder. I got a really dark shade so that I can use it as a bronzer because my bronzer
is rough. I just get it on there and then I take this fluffy Morphe brush and just blend
it all out. And then I go in with a clean blending brush and I just blend it all out.
I am also gonna add a little bit of highlight. I have this Becca Opal highlight travel size.
And the cupid's bow. And I am taking Champagne Pop with a fluffy brush and highlighting my
cheekbones. And then under the eyebrows, above eyebrows. I also do chin just to... y'know
keep the high points glowing. So, now since I already did my eyebrows and I used the Anastasia
Brow Wiz in medium brown and dark brown, I do them before I do my foundation and everything.
To make them look more natural, I actually use this really old mascara. I just brush
it through like brow gel. But I find it better than brow gel because brow gel is expensive
and this was like 99 cents. I'm gonna set my face with my Too Faced Hangover Setting
Spray. And that just really dewifies everything. For lips, I'm going to be using this little
Tony Moly Cherry Lip Gloss(?) Now I am going to set my eyebrows, I use hair spray and a
spoolie. I use the L'oreal Telescopic. *Whispers* L'oreal. And I really hate the brush on this
one so I actually put it on my eyelashes with this and then brush it out with the *drops
mascara* with the brush from my Too Faced little travel sized mascara. I found that
using this makes them look more natural and separates them more while the telescopic clumps
them together. And I am going to the Lake™ today. I should've used my waterproof mascara.
Shoot! Ok, well, it's too late. Anyway. Since I'm going to the lake I'm not wearing falsies.
I will accept my fate of runny mascara and runny makeup should I go in the water. But
not yet. So this is the finished look. I guess I should put my hair down so I don't look
shaggy. That was a bad idea. Just, just gimme a sec. Here's the look. *makeup montage* Thanks

6 Tax Planning Questions for Canadian Musicians | Crowe Soberman - Duration: 3:03.
The music industry in Canada has never been stronger with increased digital
consumption, growing live music attendance and a new class of emerging
artists. If you're a performing artist, composer or producer in Canada, do you
know about all of the tax deductions available to you? Here are six important
questions you need to ask yourself before next tax season. If you write,
compose, perform or create your own original works, guess what? You're
considered an employed artist. For many of you, tax write-offs and expenses from
your income may even be deductible depending on the type of work you do.
Let's determine whether you're considered a self-employed or a salaried
employee. Self-employed artists generally control their own work and schedule
while earning income from a variety of different sources. Working as your own
boss you are entitled to deduct most reasonable business expenses as long as
they are related to your earned business income. On the other hand, salaried
employees work for an organization or a company - which unfortunately means that
you are more limited in the number of expenses you can deduct. Now luckily for
self-employed artists, many of the business expenses you acquire can be
deducted. Everything from your equipment, rentals and repairs, performance
wardrobes, hair and makeup for public appearances, to your union dues, agent fees
and publicity expenses. Even your legal and accounting fees could potentially be
subtracted. If you have decided to turn your musical or artistic activities into
a business venture, consider registering to collect federal and provincial sales
taxes if you earn more than $30,000 in worldwide taxable sales over four
consecutive calendar year quarters. Registering to collect GST and HST can
allow you to recover some, if not all, of the sales tax incurred on your business
expenses. If you have a significant amount of business expenses, you should
absolutely consider registering. The Canada Revenue Agency generally
considers grants and bursaries to be taxable income,
however, some exemptions exist. Certain scholarships, fellowships, bursaries or
similar prizes to be used in the production of musical or
artistic work, are all considered exempt. These are commonly known as art
production grant exceptions. Funds from other qualifying awards are tax exempt
as well. In Canada, creative professionals are expected to pay income taxes if they
earn a profit from their activities but smart and accurate record-keeping can
help minimize the burden. Planning ahead and speaking to a tax professional will
relieve your financial stresses and ease your mind. Crowe Soberman's Sports and
Entertainment team has the specialized experience to help with even the most
complex tax and business issues for artists and musicians. We're always ready
to provide smart decisions that leave you with lasting value. For more

Homemade Soap for Your Intimate Areas - Duration: 6:20.
Homemade Soap for Your Intimate Areas
Conventional soaps can harm your intimate areas, which require specific hygiene routines to maintain its health.
Here you'll find simple and effective recipes to create your very own homemade soap, made with natural ingredients to prevent infections, itching and other discomforts, as well as help you keep your most intimate areas clean and healthy.
Reasons to avoid conventional soaps.
Many women wash their genital area with the same soap they use to cleanse their body.
It is best to use a soap specifically made with your feminine hygiene in mind, since other soaps can contain harsh chemicals and materials that can harm the sensitive tissues found in these areas.
A product made with calming ingredients can help rebalance your pH levels and prevent infections for those who are prone to them.
Below you'll find a homemade soap recipe that is simple to make and includes essential greentree tea oil and other natural ingredients that can help prevent yeast infections.
Ingredients and tools.
210 milliliters of coconut oil.
30 grams of caustic soda.
65 milliliters distilled water.
Green tea tree essential oil.
Thyme essential oil.
Soap mold, in any form you desire except aluminum.
Gloves. Hand whisk.
Bowl for mixing and heating.
Glass container.
Long-handled mixing spoon. Preparation.
Follow this recipe with care and the steps indicated for safety and quality.
Put on gloves.
In the glass container put first the caustic soda and slowly add the distilled water to avoid spilling.
The mixture will produce a vapor.
Cool the mixture in the refrigerator until they clear.
Ideally this should be done near a window or in a room with proper ventillation.
In the bowl combine the coconut oil over low heat.
When it reaches around 40 degrees celsius remove from heat.
Mix in the caustic soda very carefully to avoid spillage with the hand mixer until it takes on a gel texture.
Immediately add 15 drops of green tea tree oil and 30 drops of thyme essential oil.
Pour this mixture into the mold.
Cover with a towel to help it maintain its temperature and complete the soap process.
Leave to cool, between 12 and 24 hours, without moving or jostling.
Once completely cool you can remove from the mold.
Leave in a cool, dry space to allow it to harden.
This should take around a month.
Tips to care for your intimate areas.
If you have a history of yeast infections, we recommend the following tips to help you maintain a healthy vaginal area.
Use underwear made of natural materials such as cotton.
After washing you can protect and hydrate this area by applying marigold oil extract or salve with a clean applicator or cotton ball.
Marigolds have antibiotic properties and fungicides to prevent vaginal infections.
When you first suspect a vaginal infection, apply a few drops of green tea tree oil to your pantyliner.
When this area heats naturally, the oils healing and disinfecting properties will take effect.
Wash your vaginal area with wipes made specifically for genital use.
Toss those conventional soaps and stick with products made of natural and organic materials.
Remember that your vaginal health is directly related to your digestive health.
A natural remedy you can try includes yogurt and salt water, mixed in equal measure, as an enema.
Include foods proven to help prevent infections such as yogurt, kefir or garlic in your daily diet.

Sales Tips: Aligning Sales & Marketing for Account-Based Success - Duration: 2:15.
Hi, I'm Eric Martin from SalesLoft.
I'd like to talk to you today about how marketing can help set an account based revenue
organization up for success.
In traditional teams, sales and marketing work in siloed environments.
To practice what we believe many of our marketing goals are actually tied to sales performance.
For example, we're responsible for helping sales create pipeline and target accounts.
We found that as marketers we can better serve the sales team by proactively supplying them
with ideas.
We quickly test these ideas to determine the activities that best drive engagement.
I'd like to share three successful ideas we've used to support our sales organization.
My first tip is to arm sales reps with clear, consistent messaging that they can use when
they're reaching out to their target accounts.
For example, we've created team cadences for SalesLoft that are targeted for each persona
involved in the buyer's journey.
By supplying sales with persona targeted messaging we've seen measurable improvements in response
rates.
The second way we empower our sales organization is by creating personalized content.
Custom landing pages, ads, and personalized video bring a unique and creative touch to
your cadences.
We've seen success by delivering all of these tactics to our top tier accounts.
We create custom landing pages with personalized videos that help the rep connect directly
with the prospect.
In our testing, relevant messaging can actually double the rate of engagement with your prospects.
Prospecting a new business is much easier when that prospect is familiar with your company.
To warm up cold prospects, we specifically target our advertising toward cold accounts.
While it sounds simple, brand recognition helps.
When prospects say I think I've seen this company somewhere, it's much more powerful
than you think.
For top-tier cold accounts, we tune our ad messaging for the company's mission and
business model.
This helps drive engagement on top of brand recognition.
What tools help us do this?
We use Terminus to deliver ads to our target accounts.
Also, we use Triblio to personalize messaging on our website to drive engagement.
Thanks for watching.
I hope you learned a few tips that can help you better understand how marketing can support
a modern sales organization.
Feel free to drop a note or comment below if you'd like to talk more about this.
