Some Reasons for a Swollen or Bloated Stomach
Sometimes it's helpful to drink a tea that aids in digestion after a meal to avoid feeling bloated and get rid of excess gas.
It's also a good idea to add spices to our food that further aid in digestion.
A bloated stomach isn't just a problem with appearances – it's also a health issue that we need to address, before it develops into a chronic disorder.
In this article we'll talk about the many reasons why you may experience abdominal bloating, and offer some natural remedies that can help resolve it quickly.
Not chewing well enough.
This is a common problem these days because people usually try to do things in a hurry.
Many of us eat quickly while we're at work, often standing or chatting, so we don't chew our food as well as we should.
This makes it much harder for our bodies to process by slowing down or hindering digestion, which can cause abdominal bloating among other discomforts.
Chewing our food thoroughly has many other advantages as well, like making us feel more satisfied and eat less overall.
It's important to remember that the digestion process begins in the mouth with saliva that contains important digestive enzymes.
The more we chew our food, the better it is processed by the body.
Intestinal parasites.
Intestinal parasites are a major health problem, but unfortunately it's also very difficult to detect.
This is not because parasites don't have symptoms: it's because they're hard to attribute to their source.
For example, parasites can cause nervousness, irritability, eating disorders, itching sensations in the nostrils or rectum, and abdominal bloating.
Some people experience bloating because they ate something that didn't agree with them, but in this case we experience bloating no matter what we eat.
Removing parasites naturally isn't easy.
You have to drastically reduce or eliminate sugars and wheat products from your diet because they are the parasites' food.
In addition, you have to take supplements like garlic, and add pumpkin seeds, coriander, hot spices, and more to your diet.
You can also take probiotics to support the production of healthy intestinal bacteria, and try to avoid being constipated as this can contribute to the parasitic infection.
Eating too much.
Even with healthy foods, if you eat too much or more than the body needs it can result in bloating.
We should always stop eating the instant we feel satiated.
But the times that we feel like we still want dessert even though we're actually already full are good examples of overeating.
A good way to avoid this is by drinking a tea that helps facilitate digestion, instead of having dessert.
This can help prevent abdominal bloating, as we'll explain next.
Gas.
There are some foods that particularly cause gas, and certain people are more susceptible to this problem than others.
For these times we recommend drinking teas made with anise, mint, and lemon balm, and to add spices like cumin and fennel to soups – particularly those that contain beans and vegetables that are known to cause gas.
Food intolerances.
Sometimes we experience gas because we have an intolerance to an unknown food.
The most common culprits are gluten or lactose, and if we suspect we have one of these intolerances we need to make the proper diagnosis.
One way to find out is to eliminate these foods from your diet for a month and determine if we feel better, or experience less bloating as a result.
Emotional issues.
In addition to all of the above reasons, some people have digestive problems because of emotional issues, since digestive system function is related to our experiences and well-being.
In these cases, sufferers will notice that their bloating is correlated with days when they feel more emotional stress than usual.
To help resolve this, we recommend seeing a therapist or exploring homeopathy and other relaxing therapies like massage, reflexology, yoga, tai chi, etc.
Unhealthy dinners.
Dinner should be the lightest meal of the day, because at night the body doesn't have a lot of energy left to spend digesting food.
If we find that we're waking up in the mornings with a bloated abdomen, it's time to change what we eat for dinner.
Salads are quite healthy, for example, but they're better to eat during the day or at lunch.
Cooked vegetables and sauces are better for eating in the evening.

How to use Propaganda Design Kit for Affinity Designer (Desktop/iPad) - Duration: 9:26.
Today we're gonna learn how to use
our Propaganda Design Kit for Affinity Designer.
Propaganda is an easy-to-use set of tools
for creating screen-printed effects,
exclusive for Affinity Designer professionals
and fully integrated into the app.
You can go from this
to this...
in just a couple of minutes
Styles are the core component of this pack.
The ability of previewing, applying and switching textures on the fly;
will save you plenty of hours
of researching, importing editing and testing;
allowing you to focus
exclusively on your creation process.
Installing Styles is quite simple.
Go to the top bar menu,
select: View, Studio and, Styles.
Then, from the Styles panel
select "Import Styles".
From the Browser Window
look for the file: "Frankentoon Propaganda Textures"
it will take about one or two minutes
to load all styles.
To use your brand new textures
just create a shape or path
and apply a style from the panel on it.
Since texture colors aren't
directly editable using the Color Panel
whenever you apply a texture to an object,
a Color Overlay effect
is automatically added to that object.
You just need to click the "FX" icon
and select the color as usual.
To install masks,
open the Assets Panel
and look for the file:
"Frankentoon Propaganda Texture Masks"
This fantastic library of 44 pre-edited textures
have been meticulously crafted
to give you both, high-res
and lightweight tools at the same time.
Propaganda Styles cannot be applied
on Groups or Layers.
This is where masks may come in handy.
Go to the Assets Panel, select one
and drag it onto your Artboard.
zoom your canvas out until you see its handles
then, resize it to match the dimensions of the object
you want to mask.
Go back to the Layers Panel,
drag the mask thumbnail
beside your group's or layer's thumbnail, like this.
You can see how the texture has been applied
to the whole Layer and it's containing objects.
This is a bonus pack of 47 vector elements,
to spice up and give the final touches
to your vintage style illustrations.
Just go again to the Assets Panel and select: Import Assets
then, look for the file:
Frankentoon Propaganda Elements
To create a nice halftone gradient effect,
duplicate the shape you want this effect
to be applied onto
then, go to the Styles Panel and select a gradient texture
Press "G" on your keyboard to resize the texture
Once you're happy with it,
go to the Layers Panel and click the "FX" icon
to edit your shape's colors.
We can follow these same steps
on Affinity Designer for iPad.
Select the shape you want to texture
and, duplicate it from the top menu
then, open the "FX" panel, select Styles
and choosethe style you prefer.
You can move around and transform this texture
using the Gradient Tool.
You are also able to lock and unlock
your texture's aspect ratio.
To change the textures colors,
keep the shape selected,
go to the Styles Panel and select Color Overlay
this works the same way as the desktop version
This pinkish tone looks okay and, we're all set.
Now, let's get back to desktop, to see more examples
we're only scratching the surface of this pack's
layering capabilities.

and create more intricate designs
using different styles and colors for each one of 'em

Don't be afraid of upscaling Propaganda textures as much as you want
this will always look good at super high resolutions, since they've been made
using a 1-bit color simulation,
which makes images look super sharp and clean
when exported and printed out.
This color method is widely used
for texturing and toning Japanese Mangas
As you can see here, there's nothing fancy about
texturing with Propaganda Design Kit:
Select the shape you wanna modify,
select a Style,
change colors and repeat.
I'll do you a favor and will stop talking for a couple of minutes,
so you can enjoy this part a little better.
You'll find out that I'm not doing anything
we haven't seen before on this demonstration
Now, let's switch back to Designer for iPad
to learn how to apply a mask on this app.
Open the Assets Panel,
select the texture you like,
and drag it onto the Artboard
zoom it out by pinching with two fingers
until you see the texture's transform controls
and again, resize it to match the size of the object
you want to apply the mask to
Go to the Layers Panel and mask your Layer
as we did at the beginning of this video.
