I love animals and I said let's just say yes to this opportunity.
I'll tell you one of the goals we had was can we make an app that's interesting enough
to where the orangutans would use it without wanting food rewards.
The question of how you make an app that orangutans really enjoy to use because orangutans are
very intelligent.
Ben really took this great leadership role on the project.
He brought in his friend Fidel from MIT.
So we had a team of people working on this.
We actually had a really cool experience where Madu who's who's a surrogate mother in the zoo.
And there was a point where she was watching a video on the app.
And I didn't realize when I put the video in but it was actually a video of Allen who
was an orangutan who passed away a few years prior.
She tried to quote unquote kiss Allen on the screen.
And the zookeeper started crying apparently because of it.
It tears of joy.
And so I didn't expect my app to cause the zookeepers have tears of joy.
When I started I Vanderbilt I realized that you can really help people through technology
and if you want to make a worldwide impact from your dorm room it could be through an app.
I came the Vanderbilt I said I'm interested in solving problems and I think I'm interested
in business.
Since then I topped it on with economics I topped it on with computer science and found
a whole new light.
I never foresaw I you know be a software engineer at any point, but it really works in a very
