Following up from the recent news about Sony forcing the Western publishers of Senran Kagura
Burst Re:Newal to tone the game down before release, there's been a wide range of other
similar stories and it's now been made clear that this decision is not just something that
is affecting Western studios but also Japanese studios as well.
The reason for the sudden influx of issues being that this is due to a brand new content
policy that has been introduced in Sony and so why we're only just starting to see the
effects of it.
As translated by Gematsu, the developers of the visual novel Silverio Trinity spoke about
these new regulations in a recent Niconico live stream.
Here they were asked what platforms their game will be released on, to which they replied:
"We applied to release it with Sony.
And we already finished development.
A long time ago.
But yeah, we applied to Sony and it hasn't been approved yet."
"Right now Sony seems to be moving toward disallowing ports of ages 18 and up titles
worldwide.
And this game is ages 18 and up, so it's being subjected to a very strict inspection,
and we're getting all these questions.
And like 'Please write everything in English.'
So we're in the middle of answering those now, and we're not sure if we'll get approved
or not.
It's terrible, but in any case, development is done.
So internally it's complete, but there are things we can't do without connecting to
Sony's servers, like Trophies.
So everyone is like, 'When will we be able to add Trophies?'
"And we have a guy who is in charge of translating everything into English and sending it to
Sony, but it's like, 'Don't you guys understand Japanese?'
At present we're thinking we can release early next year if it passes Sony's inspection…
And if Sony says no, then I guess we'll just find somewhere else to put it."
The moderator then tried to clarify the dev's comments, asking if they are waiting on approval,
and the devs said: "Yeah, waiting for Sony's approval.
If we put it on Steam or wherever, we could be selling it next week.
But at the moment we have an agreement with Sony, so…
We submitted it with this agreement and yet we're waiting for approval…
Pretty awful, right?"
As mentioned, these comments have followed a large number of other games running into
issues recently.
Gematsu also published a nice list summarising the recent happenings - mentioning first Omega
Labyrinth Z and how Sony banned the game in North America and Europe...
Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai: Library Party and how the devs are quoted as saying "We want
to release a PS4 version, but Sony Interactive Entertainment's regulations have gotten strict,
so we are looking into a counterplan."...
then Nora to Oujo to Noraneko Heart and how the Switch version was recently released uncensored,
whilst the PS4 version contains heavy edits.
And this is despite the 2017 Vita version also being without these new edits...
Then lastly Sakura Sakura, which also makes heavy edits to scenes in the PlayStation versions.
You can see an example of the type of content Sony are now policing here, from Nora to Oujo
to Noraneko Heart.
The limited run release of Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit also ran into issues with Sony
over content concerns , with Limited Run Games explaining that Sony had content concerns
but ultimately the publishers weren't required to make changes to the game.
That's all we know for now about these new regulations but this story is rapidly developing.
Sony has not currently officially commented on the new policy either.

(vlog) TEA vlog! Eco dyeing, that is. - Duration: 9:27.
Sunday morning and I'm going to opus art supply store
to look for their resin, I guess. I'm a lot more timid today than usual so I'm not
looking forward to this drive.
car haul! so I just got these Dixie Cups for that thing I got
I got this big Manila pad because I wanted to try eco dyeing and I didn't
wanna try on fancy paper because eco dyeing is not really permanent. gloves, for
reasons you'll see in a minute. i got this artresin. see how tiny these
bottles are? eight ounces for about forty dollars. so i probably wont buy that again unless i really need it. measuring cups!
but i also got these acryla gouaches. I know that I've already tried acryla gouache
and I already have acrylic gouache, but they had these and i wanted them so bad.
they're pastel, like tints, so this would eliminate my need
for buying white which is my problem with acrylic gouache. is that I only ever
really want to use tints and so I run out of white and then that's it! I can't
really use... I don't really have a use for the acryla gouache anymore so I'm excited
about that. and these were on sale for $5.50 a tube so, big day.
i can't tell if this really worked that will or if I should try it again. I know
that I was kind of doing a sort of half-hearted attempt because I'm not
boiling it for a specific amount of time. I just pour boiling water on it. maybe
that isn't good enough but I'm not sure entirely what... maybe this is as good as it
gets I don't know. there's definitely stuff happening. if I should try it again
but in a slightly different way? I don't know if I'm gonna be able to stay awake
tonight
I've been on deep cleaning duty at work but I'm the only employee there so I've
been scrubbing for hours. super tired. but i got all these leaves! it's already Thursday mmm
tomorrow, my friend is doing some kind of presentation im wanting to go to. oh I
dyed my hands a little bit. looks really bad sorry
um because I was um soaking the rusted metal pieces in vinegar this time for
the Eco dyeing experiment and I ended up dipping my fingers into it to get the
pieces out and I dyed myself. I started drawing this tree while we were finishing
the last of um the haunting of Hill House last night. such a good show. was
just really refreshing um to have like a horror... well... film or
series or whatever... that actually has time to build up characters that you
actually like or dislike or get to know. because I find that a lot of
horror movies for example they usually just have these generic
characters so that you don't feel too bad about them
and bad things happening to them and stuff like that. and the people
who get haunted or get murdered or whatever are usually just random
stand-ins for plot development so it's really interesting
the particular combination of terror and sadness. it's unusual for me anyway
maybe I'm just missing out in a lot of stuff? I dont watch a lot of television
so it's Saturday and not much is going on
I haven't ironed my papers yet. I went to my friend's art event last night and
what she does is intuitive readings. never give me a piece
of paper because I will just destroy it. anyway, these were all hidden under our
seats so I got a tree. and it says things about trees. they're just like
random messages . people got personalized messages there but I didn't
want to do that... I don't want to have a bunch of people staring at me so
yeah that was fun. it was really cool. if I remember I'll probably put a link to a
website or something in the description. today I was going to pretty
much have the apartment to myself all weekend but um John made it all the way
to where he was going before realizing that they had rescheduled for next
weekend so. yeah. it kinda sucks cuz I was thinking maybe I should
get some stuff done even though it's 10:30 in the morning and I slept in to
like 8:30 and I'm tired. but also I feel obligated to go out. but he's
probably gonna be way too tired of being on the bus all morning to go anywhere. and
it might rain again. I don't know. I would probably do nothing
and accomplish nothing and then do it again next weekend. this cannot be good
for you. I'm soaking the metal in vinegar
and made this nasty-ass rust water which i think is what causes...you
know which makes reaction with the leaves and the tannins
and stuff. but the leaves went black, so I don't know how much of that was related
to actually getting colors in the leaves or if it's just iron oxide soaking into
the paper. and I don't know if that's good or not. if it's gross, if it's
bad for me to be touching stuff? I don't know kind of nasty

Who is Vivien Reid? | Magic Arcanum - Duration: 11:20.
Welcome Magic Arcanum. I'm Ryan Gomez and I'm so glad you're here because it's
story time! Last week we talked about my favorite
planeswalker Vraska and where she fits into the current and past Magic story.
You guys left a lot of great feedback and comments on that video so let me say
thank you for doing that! Today we're gonna be taking a look at another strong
rising female planeswalker character who has a bone to pick with Nicol Bolas:
we're talking about Vivien Reid! Vivien made her debut recently in Core Set
2019 with two planeswalker cards and nine others that reference her by name
or in the flavor text. As we headed into Core Set 2019 it became clear the focus
would be on Nicol Bolas. He was gonna get a new legendary creature card that
flipped into a planeswalker and there'd be four other elder dragons;
his siblings from back on Dominaria, the survivors of the elder dragon war.
The set would also contain five mono colored Planeswalkers who had a direct
relationship with Nicol Bolas. This left Wizards of the Coast with a problem
because to date there hadn't really been a green planeswalker
that had that personal connection. So as a solution they decided to introduce an
entirely new green planeswalker who would have a brand new backstory
tying her directly to Nicol Bolas: enter Vivien Reid! Vivien is from the
plane of Skalla and Skalla is divided into two kind of big groups: there's the Smaragdi
which are rangers and druids and they kind of live out in the forests and the
wilderness, that's Vivien's group, and then there's the Nura which are a group
of advanced builders who kind of handled all the technology and city life...and
that's what life is like on Skalla and if I'm pronouncing these wrong you can
fight me in the comments this time because... at some point Nicol Bolas
stopped by and took an interest in the innovations of the Nura. This is kind of
on theme for him. Remember he sent Tezzeret to Kaladesh to steal the Planar
Bridge and he used Vraska to go to Ixalan and steal the Immortal Sun. Every
Nicol Bolas planeswalker card and both of his legendary creature cards require
black red and blue mana to cast and in Magic blue is the color most closely
associated with artifice. So in all the recent stories Nicol Bolas has been
obsessed with acquiring powerful artifacts - this fits perfectly with his
color and explains why he would be on Skalla
trying to get whatever the Nura are building there. Philosophically each
color on the Magic color wheel represents a different idea and blue
including Nicol Bolas is all about seeking perfection. One way they do that
is by making artifacts. They represent achievements in science, technology,
design, and knowledge. Green meanwhile is all about the natural order of things. It
strives to accept things as they are rather than try to achieve perfection.
Green hates artifice. Green is really great at being a natural balance to blue
because green has some of the best tools for destroying and exiling artifacts and
enchantments. So since Vivien is a green planeswalker all of her cards and
abilities should reference this aspect of the color, at least in some way. And
they do! Vivien Reid's minus three ability can
destroy any artifact enchantment or creature with flying. That last part may
seem oddly specific but there is a reason for it. So back on Skalla, Nicol
Bolas got what he was looking for from the Nura and began destroying the plane
because he thought there was nothing else of value left there. What did he
take from them? I have no idea. They actually left it intentionally vague so
it could show up later, or maybe never at all! In a desperate last stand the Nura
and the Smaragdi pooled their efforts in creating a weapon to fight back. Their
creation was the Arkbow which was infused with the essence of every animal
who ever lived on Skalla. Unfortunately the weapon was completed
too late. Vivien stood among the burning forests of her home plane when her spark
ignited and planeswalked her away, along with the Arkbow, making her the sole
survivor of Skalla.
wait-wait-wait
Okay so that's why she can destroy creatures with flying - she has a bow!
Before we get into the rest of her cards and abilities and place within the
greater story let's discuss this connection with Nicol Bolas for a minute
because I see a problem here. If Vivien is gonna use the Arkbow for its
intended purpose, defeating Nicol Bolas, she has a very small window of time to get
herself to Ravnica, make friends with Jace, Vraska, and all the rest of them,
and get involved in the big final fight that's happening there. She basically has
to appear in one of the next two sets. Her best opportunity is in Ravnica
Allegiance this January, possibly as part of the Gruul Clans: you heard it here
first! The Arkbow started with an infusion of every creature on Skalla but
as Vivien has traveled around as a planeswalker it has become more powerful
and now contains more creatures. The last place she headed was Shiv which is part
of Dominaria and home to the famous Shivan Dragon. Vivien is looking for
creatures that will give her an edge in the fight against Nicol Bolas and
having a bow full of other dragons might just do it for her. I could see a new
planeswalker card for Vivien that gives her a bit of a red identity to
reflect some of the raw power that's now contained within the bow. Or, instead of a
planeswalker card, she might get a flashy sorcery or instant that lets you play
creatures out of your deck without paying mana for them, something like a
Chord of Calling, Tooth and Nail, or Collected Company. No matter how they
choose to represent it, Vivien could fire off a whole quiver of arrows and
summon a whole menagerie of creatures but would any of them be strong enough
to beat Nicol Bolas? He's already defeated the Gatewatch and he beat Ugin
who had his own army of dragons. I'd love to hear your speculation in the comments
but first let's go back and look at some of the other cards that feature Vivien,
starting with her two planeswalker cards. Vivien Reid costs three green green
and starts with five loyalty. This seems appropriate. She is an experienced hunter
and she carries a mighty weapon so she should show up ready to fight. While each
of these abilities is an adequate fit for Vivien and
appropriate for her first planeswalker card none of them are particularly
exciting and worse they are not unique. Ajani and Kiora can both look for lands
or creatures among the top few cards of your deck. Vraska can destroy the same
permanents for the same cost and Domri, Gideon, Sorin, and Elspeth all make
emblems that help make your creatures more powerful. Her other planeswalker
card, Vivien of the Arkbow, isn't much better in fact it's almost identical to
Huatli, Dinosaur Knight. Now since these are both in the planeswalker decks that's
not a huge problem but it would be nice if this was supposed to be Vivien's
introduction to the bigger lineup of major characters and they gave her some
unique abilities. So if her planeswalker cards leave
something to be desired what about her other cards from Core Set 2019?
Bogstomper, Bristling Boar, Giant Spider and Gigantosaurus are kind of underwhelming.
I mean the boar is a little hard to block but otherwise this is a pretty
unremarkable group of creatures. Aggressive Mammoth and Prodigious
Growth are kind of curious. They both show really big creatures but it's not
clear if Vivien had anything to do with that. They clearly weren't made by the
Arkbow so these must be creatures she just encountered on a plane somewhere.
This becomes even more curious when we look at cards that are coming from the
bow: the art for Skalla Wolf and Vivien's Jaguar both clearly show that these guys
are being summoned from the bow, but they're not very big or strong. They each
only have three power. The wolf lets you look at the top five cards of
your library and put any green card you find there into your hand which is
frustrating because the Vivien Reid planeswalker card can look at the top
four cards but that one can also grab lands...? Why have two abilities be so
similar but so different?! This does not show me who Vivien is. Does she care the
most about creatures? Then why can she sometimes get lands or other cards that
are green, like instants and sorceries or enchantments? Before Guilds of Ravnica came
out we got a three-part miniseries that followed
Vivien on Ixalan. She went to a vampire owned zoo and tried to free all the
animals there after she saw them being tortured for entertainment. We got to see
how the Arkbow acquires new animals: it has to absorb their essence as they die.
So that kind of raises a question, right? What would have happened if she had
beaten Nicol Bolas with that bow back on Skalla? Because the bow already had the
essence of all the animals that lived there. So would she have saved the plane
only to have no animals left alive? If I was tasked with designing Vivien all
over again, I'd start by looking for ways to reward
having different creatures in play. If the Arkbow is supposed to be kind of
this magical zoo that represents a bunch of different creatures then find a way
to make that relevant, right? Reward the player for having a deck full of
different powers and toughness and mana costs and creature types. Make it really
different! Planeswalkers should have clean and interesting abilities that
interact in fun and unique ways. It should challenge us as deck builders and
it should excite us to follow these characters in the lore and see how they
get involved in the story. Vivien does none of this. Her abilities are all kind
of borrowed from other cards and even the ones that she has don't work
consistently from card to card. Any deck built around her is gonna be on rails,
right? They're all gonna feel the same because you're drawn to the same cards.
There's no incentive to diversify. It can be tough to make a new character that
feels fresh and exciting and has a meaningful impact on the story. Vivien
was born with her clock already ticking because she's tied to a villain who's
about to have his major final showdown with another group of characters that we
already know a whole lot more about and frankly like more. It's really
unfortunate that Vivien's introduction actually left so many unanswered
questions because I feel once Nicol Bolas is defeated we're not gonna hear a
whole lot from Vivien going forward, which is a real shame. If they had done a
better job carving out a unique mechanical space for her we might
have had players who were really excited to see her come back again and again.
Instead with Nicol Bolas gone, Vivien will be left kind of hollow and empty. Will
she be a recurring member of the Magic story? Or will she fall by the wayside
like Tibalt and Koth and so many other one-hit wonders? Let me know in the
comments what you think is next for Vivien and then like this video.

Hello everyone, this is Running On Empty ...
Food Review!
Well,
Happy Halloween
ladies and gentlemen and everyone watching!
This is Running On Empty
Food Review!
I am your host TheReportOfTheWeek.
Halloween...
Halloween is such a fascinating holiday, you know?
Where...
I mean there's there's nothing else like it.
I know I did a lecture a few years ago where I was kind of I was bashing Halloween, you know?
I'll say it outright - I wasn't the biggest fan of it then. But, I've kind of
embraced it more so to speak or I might not be the type to go to Halloween parties and
"get plastered" as they say but I really do like the aesthetic of the holiday. I gotta...
I gotta get that off off the bat. I really do. I do like the lights and the decorations and all that.
I think it is quite quite interesting quite cool!
But man Halloween is is such a
fascinating fascinating thing right? Where people they get up at the break of dawn, you know, and
they go out they paint eggs.
They they get a little basket full of candy and and little kind of fake
plastic grass and they kind of put it in there. And then it all
culminates and reaches an absolute peak just before midnight right? Where the Easter Bunny comes over and is tapping on the window. And..
You know, not not that he actually has anything to contribute
he's just kind of creeping around, but still. And you all just gather around and listen to the newly restored
English service for Radio Exterior De España on the shortwave radio.
Nothing beats it. That's the honest truth.
But there is that creepy aspect to it also!
Not even about the eh Easter Bunny or any of that. You know, that's just kind of to throw you off a little bit.
That fear!
What are we afraid? Well...
Everyone is afraid of something different.
But I think I found that one thing! If there is one single
food or drink beverage, I thought that the Nightmare King from Burger King was absolutely terrifying.
I saw it.
That thing was was spooky. That's the only way to describe it. But I think I found something that
singularly will will overcome
any amount of
terror I suppose
that the Nightmare King might have had and
That's the Superfood Side, a kale salad, from Chick-fil-A.
I honestly think that's probably one of the scariest items out there.
So many people don't even know how to even comprehend it, you know. There's different levels of fear.
This is one of those those things that just
gets into the absolute core of your soul and just shakes you and
eats at you deep inside and just leads to
existential dread!
To the point really beyond any comprehension or
conceivable expression, to be honest.
This is one of those things that eats at you and will just leave you haunted for probably decades...
at the very least.
They call it the Superfood Side.
Why?
No one knows!
Look, what does it have on it? We'll find out in a minute. I gotta take a sip of water because my mouth is dry.
Well, I kind of drank half the glass of water because I'm just that scared!
Here's what it has. Let's just brace ourselves!!
Broccolini and
Kale
Blend.
That right there was even just difficult to read as it is and that patented broccolini -
They're not just... that's the real deal!
I just I want I want you to know how how big that is.
Maple vinaigrette dressing,
dried sour
cherries and
these!
That they call nuts.
Right there.
And that's what it comes with. You can get this in various sizes. I got a large and that's a view of it -
what they call
the Superfood Side.
See how it's green like that? You don't see something like that every day! I'll tell you that.
So when it comes down to
proper
consumption etiquette, 'cause you're dealing with something that's on an
entirely different level here, you have to do it in a certain way.
Where it's just... when it's that terrifying you have to show a certain degree of
respect and etiquette while consuming this.
So first thing you have to do is you have to put the nuts on it!
You have to add this little bit of a garnish right there a little bit of a
garland.
Put the nuts on it. So you kind of just rip the top off.
And then you just dump them in. If you want to consider it like a sacrificial offering
to please the Superfood Side Gods?
Then just look at it that way, you know, whatever whatever makes it an easier task to complete
so to speak. You know, you might say, "I don't want to anger the Superfood Side Gods." So this might be something to do
to just kind of keep you, and especially your family, safe in the end. So you can see the nuts on the top right there.
Right? You got to mix it together.
This is just how you please it, you know, this is how you,
you know, consider it as I said like a sacrificial
offering.
You might not want to do it, but it just has to be done at this point!
It's it's the only thing I can even say.
And then...
Once it's at least mixed together into some acceptable degree anyway, you can see it there.
You have to take this they give you this plastic instrument to consume it properly with. As I said,
there's a whole ritual that goes to it and they call this a plastic fork and you just have to...
See you have a plastic fork. You got to have a really good grip on it. Make sure it's firm there and you have to...
Let me show you this close. You have to
kind of dig it like that. You have to puncture something like this.
See! You got to be really careful with it and once you have
some of the kale or the broccolini
skewered with this plastic harpoon, so to speak,
then you can open your mouth and consume it but it has to be in that order.
So with that - we followed the procedures. I think we'll be safe this time around. I'm gonna give it a try.
It's the Superfood Side kale salad from Chick-fil-A ...
Going in!
Before I eat this,
it's Halloween...
Wish me luck!
Ladies and gentlemen, it's going in!
One one more bite.
You know?
There was a time
when people would consider one of the most powerful forces in the universe to be quasars.
Once you've crossed paths with the Superfood Side from Chick-fil-A,
I just I personally don't think that that's factually accurate anymore.
I think that this is a far more powerful force to reckon with quite frankly.
Here's what it breaks down to...
To be quite honest it's not bad.
We'll just get to a quick rundown of it. Here's the interesting thing about the Superfood Side, right?
It has the kale to it, right?
It's a kale side. And then it has the broccolini which is like a it's just broccoli for the most part.
It has lots of these leafy greens to it
The interesting thing though is that it has this, you know,
this maple vinaigrette dressing to it and these dried sour cherries,
which you very rarely ever see on on a salad, you know?
I've been trying to really emphasize the more terrifying points of this for Halloween time, but to be quite honest,
despite the fear level
that this has to it - It tastes just fine. I mean I can't I can't give any complaints.
I might not be the world's biggest salad connoisseur or consumer. I'll say that right off the bat.
But the interesting thing about this
I think that this is a really good salad for for anyone really even if you aren't like a salad aficionado or
just a certified salad consumer.
I think this is a good place to start to be honest because I know sometimes if you just like going on the, you know,
the fatty greasy food
roundabout, so to speak, and that's what you like to eat. You want to kind of get a healthier option?
I think this is a good place to start.
When it's not overwhelming it's not overbearing,
you know, but it tastes good no matter which way I think you look at it. You still get those more healthy leafy greens.
You can't really too much of the kale or the broccoli believe it or not.
I mean it's certainly there but it's very well covered by this maple vinegarette garnish.
Which does have that little bit of Tang. I would actually say it has the perfect
amount of tang to it. And then that little bit of sweetness to it as well which just really ties it all together.
The dried sour cherries - that you do not see very often when it comes down to salads and I think that's an awesome addition!
That's probably
why this costs $4.19 for the large.
Because it has premium ingredients and I mean, it goes together great. It's more on the chewier side.
So, you know, you're really going to be giving yourself a jaw workout,
so to speak, where you know, you're really gonna be chewing it up. And...
It's not like it's gonna disintegrate your teeth or anything, but it will be it will have that that more chewy texture to it.
In the end, however,
It's uh, I mean, it's just not bad. It's a pretty simple salad.
But I mean it tastes good it has as I said, it's just a healthy salad.
Goes together good. Has that perfect tang. I mean the salad dressing is great.
You know, I'm not a big fan of salad dressing, but this works out great!
I mean, as I said, it's just got that perfect tangy and sweet balance - ties it all together.
Cherries are a great addition. The nuts are optional.
I mean, I think it adds a little bit of extra to it, you know, but it's not absolutely necessary.
And uh yeah the kale and the broccolini herb. Or we'll just call it broccoli. It does go together nicely.
So that said, you know the price for this is $4.19.
If there was only one thing that really just two things that I just want to add to this and...
Salad, I don't want to issue any disrespect. Because as I said, this is not a force that you want to reckon with.
So I'm trying to just tread very very lightly here when I say this.
But, I think maybe if it had a little bit of romaine lettuce, perhaps some more leafy greens
I think would do would be a nice addition to it.
And also when you do see the size of this, I mean you can see that it isn't the deepest or largest container.
I mean it certainly does have a
good amount of
greens and ingredients to it, but I wish that it was a little bit larger.
I mean when you see that and you see that's the large, you have to say to yourself,
"Well, what does the small look like?" I mean it doesn't it doesn't seem very large for a salad because you'll have some salads from
any establishment and you order the large and it's huge they're giving you like a whole bowl of greens. As whereas this is just a
tiny little thing.
Might be small and it might be a little more on the costly side.
But it does taste very good and
I just think it's a good a good salad that even even people who may not be very seasoned
consumers of said salads will very likely enjoy it. I mean, I very seldom get the Superfood Side, but I enjoy it.
I think it tastes very good. So with that out of 10, I'm gonna be giving it a 9.0 out of 10.
That's a 9 flat out of 10. I just think it's a very enjoyable salad - very well put together.
It has a great balance of ingredients
and flavors there and it's just something I recommend you give it a try. Even if you're not a huge fast-food consumer,
Try it out. I personally recommend it and I think you'll probably enjoy it.
So bear in mind everything that I said. Treat the salad with respect.
Don't don't, you know, don't disrespect the salad. Just remember,
It's a very very terrifying scary force, but I think you will be pleased with it in the end!
