Chelsea ready to rival Man United for 28-year-old attacker – report
Chelsea have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper Marca, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Real Madrid have offered Bale to Manchester United in a £90m deal in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Premier League champions Chelsea are also interested in signing the former Tottenham Hotspur winger.
Manchester United have been left frustrated in their pursuit of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic after the Serie A giants placed a £48m price tag on the Croatia international.
Ironically, Chelsea have also failed to convince Italian midfielder Antonio Candreva from Inter as Antonio Conte looks to reunite with the 30-year-old.
Bale would presumably be a big-name and world-class alternative to both Perisic and Candreva for Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Welsh forward could risk upsetting his former club Tottenham and their supporters should the forward complete a move to either of their title rivals.
Bale is facing an uncertain future at Real Madrid amid talk of los Blancos signing Monaco teenager Kylian Mbappe. The Madrid winger won his third Champions League title with the Spanish giants last term.

Deal On: Man Utd Ready to Pay €40m For Barcelona Midfielder. Premier League duo Manchester United and Chelsea are both willing to meet Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto's (€40m) £36million release clause this summer.
The Spanish midfielder has been heavily linked with an exit from Barcelona since the arrival of Ernesto Valverde.
Roberto impressed under Luis Enrique performed mostly at the right-back position despite being a natural midfielder, he has also scored a historic goal against PSG.
However, with Valverde keen to bring in midfield reinforcements Spaniard is likely to leave the club in order to secure regular first-team football.
Barca have been strongly linked with the signing of Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and Marco Verratti since the Neymar's €222m transfer to PSG.
And it seems Roberto will have options to leave before the start of the 2017/18 season, Don Balon claiming Chelsea, Man Utd and Monaco are have all expressed interest in his signature.
Roberto €40m (£36m) buy-out clause in his current deal with Barcelona which ends in 2019. However, the report claims that all three of them are ready to trigger his release clause.
Reports from Spain had recently claimed that the Red Devils head-coach Jose Mourinho had already made an approach his signature.
Mourinho has already signed Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, but he is still on a look out for a new midfielder.
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte is still chasing signings at Stamford Bridge, while Monaco are trying to feel the gap that has been left after the departure of Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Benjamin Mendy.

The agent of reported Man United transfer target Leander Dendoncker has confirmed that his client wants a new challenge. The Red Devils were claimed to keen on to sign the 22-year-old midfielder after his impressive form for Belgium giants Anderlecht.
Dendoncker has featured for the Anderlecht against Jose Mourinho;s side in the Europa League quarter-finals, were the Red Devils secured promotion to semi-finals with a victory in extra times.
Dendoncker played 57 games for Belgian side and did not miss a singled minute of the two fixtures against the Red Devils.
Christophe Henrotay, the agent of the 22-year-old midfielder, suggests that his client would be keen on in a move to Old Trafford. "Anderlecht want to keep him, but the kid wants a new challenge," he told Foot Mercato.
"We'll see if we can find an agreement with the club, but that seems difficult.
Meanwhile, despite signing Nemanja Matic last week Jose Mourinho is keen on to strengthen his midfield options and alongside with Dendoncker, he is also eyeing a move for versatile Spanish midfielder Sergi Roberto who has £36m release clause in his current deal with Barcelona.
Arsenal and Manchester United Boosted In Their Pursuit of French Wonderkid. Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim has dropped a hint that Kylan Mbappe could leave the club before the end of the summer transfer window, according to the Independent.
Monaco, who won their eighth Ligue 1 title last season fear that French forward could leave the club.
Earlier last week Brazilian superstar Neymar has completed a world-record €222m move to PSG. and Leonardo Jardim after the 3-2 win over Toulouse has claimed that this it isn't "always possible" to keep your star players.
After being asked about his star players future, Jardim said that "It's important to keep all of the players who were important last season at the club, but down the years it has been shown that it is not always possible to keep hold of your players.
Mbappe has been one most outstanding players in Europe last season and has attracted interest from hosts of European clubs including Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have also expressed interest for the talented Frenchman who has scored 26-goals last season. If Mbappe Leaves the club this summer, we could see another mega transfer as Monaco are demanding at least €125m for French Wonderkid.

BARCELONA have reportedly entered the race to sign Arsenal target Thomas Lemar from Monaco. The French winger is Arsene Wenger's No1 target as he continues to try and bolster his squad ahead of the season.
But the Mirror claim that La Liga giants Barca have now joined the chase for the 21-year-old. Ligue 1 champions Monaco have already rejected at least two bids from the Gunners this summer.
Fellow Premier League sides Liverpool and Manchester City are also believed to hold an interest in the attacker. Wenger is readying upping his offer to £50million to try and tempt Lemar's employers into selling.
However, Barcelona could be plotting a big-money move to bring the international to the Nou Camp. And Monaco know that the Catalans are able to outbid any of their rivals.
They have £190million to spend on new recruits following Neymar's world record move to Paris Saint-Germain this week. Although they are desperate to keep hold of Lemar, Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim admits he could still leave.
He said on Friday: "It is not always possible to keep hold of your players. Lemar enjoyed a fine campaign for Monaco last season.
Lemar is able to play on either flank and impressed with his performances during last year's title-winning campaign. He and his team-mates romped to the title and made it into the semi-finals of the Champions League.
His efforts were also recognised at international level and he has gone on to win five caps so far.

And when Ashley Graham says that, we know that she literally means a pubic bush, as shes part of a shrinking proportion of the population that prefers to keep their pubic hair.
Thats her choice because its her (beautiful) flesh prison, and its every bit as valid as choosing to go without. (Or to just do some rigorous pube-scaping).
Ashley Grahams always been proud of her body, slamming body-shamers who thought that her gorgeous figure didnt fit their idea of what a model should look like.
Weve even seen Ashley Graham naked before, but the camera angles and shadows ensured that there was no actual nudity. (That is, the photos were Instagram-appropriate).
LOVE Magazine doesnt mind some of the things that makes Instagrams staff clutch their pearls, scandalized.
Sorry -- Instagrams fine with nipples, so long as theyre on a man. A womans nipples are somehow worse (or better?), to an offensive degree, so photos are often censored.
LOVE has been known to flaunt those rules when posting their pics to Instagram, even knowing that photos will be deleted.
(Just today, they posted a nude photo of the beautiful Emily Ratajkowski, showing both nipples and making it clear that Emily Ratajkowski does not sport a bush. Instagram, ever wary of the dreaded nip-nops, never appreciates that).

According to the reports, Chelsea and Manchester United are showing the most interest as Real Madrid reportedly offer their superstar Gareth Bale to Premier League giants in a potential £90m transfer.
