Oh honey, the Will & Grace revival is already getting a second season

The world might be teetering close to disaster, but at least we can look forward to even more Will & Grace.

The groundbreaking sitcom is making its TV comeback to NBC in the US this autumn, but those 12 episodes are just the beginning of Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayess boozy fun.

NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt made the announcement at the TCA press tour on Thursday (August 3) that the Will & Grace reunion series has already been renewed for a second season.

Theres even more good news — NBC has also commissioned four more episodes for this autumns season, bringing the total for the revivals first season to 16.

When we got the initial order of 12, I thought, that didnt seem like enough, Sean Hayes joked during the TCA press tour.

As for the second season, the episode order currently stands at 13 but clearly that may change depending on the enthusiasm for Will & Graces return.

All four main cast members will be back for the revival, which will take the bold step of completely ignoring the original series slightly depressing finale from 2006.

When the show returns, the children that Will and Grace had with their partners in the prior series will have vanished and theyll be living together in their New York apartment once again.

When the decision was made to bring the series back, we were like, well, we left them with kids, right? co-creator David Kohan recalled.

And if they have children, then it has to be about them being parents, cause presumably it would be a priority in their lives.

And if it wasnt a priority in their lives, then theyre still parents, theyre just bad parents, right? We frankly did not want to see them being either good parents or bad parents. We wanted them to be Will and Grace..
