What to do after being rejected at or for work - Duration: 3:12.
Hi, I'm Lisa, Guest coach and trainer with the Art of Career.
No one likes to fail or be rejected.
We don't talk very much about it and yet this happens to all of us at some point in
our lives ,
Whether you've been told that your role no longer exists in your company's re-org
or that the proposal that you've been working on day and a night for the last 2 weeks sucks.
Being rejected hurts. It hurts even more if you were given the wrong
impression that things were going well until the you were told the news.
So the big question is, WHAT WENT WRONG? If this sounds familiar, STOP,
take a DEEP BREATH and, say to yourself: "No one is perfect, I am not perfect."
Now is there something I can learn from this experience
Maybe this is a blessing in disguise! DON'T BEAT YOURSELF TOO HARD.
Learn how to overcome this crucial moment Do you know that an emotional pain felt after
receiving bad news lasts for only an average of 30s?
Yet, if left unchecked. , it could be detrimental to our bodies.
So, Stop ruminating. Stop pressing the replay button to watch that painful scene over and
over and over again ..., to a point that it cripples you.
If we continue to ruminate, our Brain cannot wind down to fall sleep.
Lack of sleep prevents us from thinking clearly, causes us to make bad decisions and puts us
on a downward spiral.
Einstein defines INSANITY as doing the same thing over & over again, expecting a diff
result. If anyone should give you a chance is YOU!
It's time to start looking forward.
Consider this Three-step process to turn your rejections and failures into lessons leant
and get OFF O F F the downward spiral.
Step 1. O - OWN UP Own up & accept the news.
It is what it is and there is nothing we can do to change it.
Step 2. F - Forgive FORGIVENESS is one of the best gifts you can
give yourself and others. Stop blaming others, your colleaques, the
organisation and most of all yourself. Forgive
Step 3. F - Find a different way FIND a different way, a different role, a
different workplace, location or career.
Come join us, it's time to have an honest conversation
Let us help you turn your rejections and failures into lessons learnt and successes.
Thanks for watching, Hope to see you in one of our trainings or
coaching sessions. Good bye.

Police Commissioner's UNBELIEVABLE Explanation For Dirty Cops - Duration: 7:52.
THE CITY OF BALTIMORE HAS DROPPED DOZENS OF DRUG-RELATED
CASES AFTER IT WAS REVEALED THAT ONE COP WAS CUT THROUGH HIS BODY
CAN'T FOOTAGE PLANTING DRUGS AS EVIDENCE WITH ONE DEFENDANT.
IT TURNS OUT THAT THERE IS ANOTHER VIDEO SHOWING
DIFFERENT COPS IN WHAT APPEARS TO BE A CASE FOR THEY ARE
PLANTING DRUGS.
IN THIS CASE, IT HAS TO DO WITH A VEHICLE THAT WAS STOPPED.
AFTER COPS PULLED THIS INDIVIDUAL OVER, THEY
SEARCHED THE CAR AND THEY DIDN'T FIND ANY DRUGS.
THEN THEY TURNED OFF THEIR BODY CAMP, TURNED IT BACK ON,
SEARCHED IN THE EXACT SAME AREA OF THE CAR, AND
MIRACULOUSLY FOUND DRUGS.
AS A RESULT, THE CASE AGAINST THAT DEFENDANT HAS BEEN DROPPED.
HER NAME IS SHAMIR COLLINS.
BUT IF YOU WANT TO SHAKE AS A VIDEO SO YOU CAN KIND OF
JUDGE FOR YOURSELF.
I'LL TELL YOU HOW THE POLICE COMMISSIONER IS STICKING UP
FOR THESE COPS WHICH IS UNBELIEVABLE.
LET'S LOOK AT THE FIRST VIDEO.
THIS IS WHERE THEY ARE SEARCHING THE CAR AND IT SEEMS LIKE
THEY'RE HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING ANYTHING.
OKAY.
WE'VE GOT NOTHING SO FAR.
AT THAT POINT, THEY TURN OFF THE BUDDY CAM AND HERE IS A
SECOND VIDEO.
ANYBODY CHECK THIS COMPARTMENT?
THERE WE GO.
I KNEW IT.
THAT'S WHY THEY WERE FREAKING OUT.
THAT IS THE WEED SMELL.
OKAY, SO HIS MY FAVORITE PARTS OF THAT.
IS A TERRIBLE STORY BUT THE WAY THEY DID IS A MOST AMUSING.
GO, WE COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING.
TURN OFF THE BODY CAM.
THEY TURN OF THE BUDDY CAMERA AND THEN THEY PLANTED AND I
LIKE HOW THEY ARE LIKE, DID ANYONE CHECK THIS PART.
AND HE FINDS IT IMMEDIATELY.
AND HE IS LIKE OH, THERE IT IS.
WE WERE RIGHT ALL ALONG.
COME ON THOUGHT YOU GUYS ARE WEARING BODY CAMS.
BUT HERE'S THE THING, I THINK SOME COPS, NOT ALL, SOME
COPS ARE EMBOLDENED BY THE FACT THAT A LOT OF POLICE
OFFICERS GET AWAY WITH A LOT OF REALLY BAD THINGS.
I AM WEARING A BODY CAM, WHO CARES IF I AM.
IT IS NOT
LIKE I'M GOING TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES IF I GET
CAUGHT OR IF ANYONE SUSPECTS THAT I'M PLANTING THIS EVIDENCE.
HERE'S THE THING, BECAUSE OF THE TWO SEPARATE CASES THAT WE TOLD
YOU ABOUT ON THE SHOW, THESE COPS HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN A
BUNCH OF OTHER CASES AND ANY OTHER CASE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN
INVOLVED IN HAS TO BE DROPPED BECAUSE THE CREDIBILITY OF
THESE POLICE OFFICERS IS NOW UP IN THE AIR AND JUST TO GIVE
YOU A MORE BROAD PERSPECTIVE OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN
BALTIMORE, LET'S GO TO GRAPHIC 26.
LAST SUMMER, THE US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE ISSUED A
SCATHING REPORT IN WHICH INVESTIGATORS SAID THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED WIDESPREAD DISCRIMINATORY
AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL POLICING PRACTICES PROTECTING
PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT PREDOMINATELY BLACK
NEIGHBORHOODS THAT THE CITY AND THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT
LATER ENTERED INTO A CONSENT DECREE THAT MANDATES
REPORTS AND IS IN ITS EARLY STAGES.
LOOK, THE PLANTING OF DRUGS IS HORRIBLE, BUT TO MAKE MATTERS
WORSE, THE POLICE COMMISSIONER IS COMPLETELY DEFENDING THESE
ACTIONS WHICH IS FRUSTRATING TO SAY THE LEAST.
HE HAD A PRESS CONFERENCE JUST YESTERDAY WE ADDRESS THESE
VIDEOS AND HERE'S WHAT HE HAD TO SAY.
HIS NAME IS KEVIN DAVIS.
IN BOTH OF THESE CASES, IT'S NO DOUBT THAT DRUGS WERE
DISCOVERED AND THE RECOVERY OF THOSE TRUCKS WERE CAPTURED
ON BODY WORN CAMERAS.
THERE'S NO DOUBT THAT THAT TOOK PLACE IN EITHER CASE.
THERE'S NO DOUBT THAT PROBABLE CAUSE EXISTED FOR REST.
HE IS CLAIMING THAT THEY NEED TO DO AN INVESTIGATION TO
FIGURE OUT WHETHER OR NOT THE COPS WERE JUST SIMPLY
REENACTING THEM FINDING THE DRUGS.
SHIRT.
HE IS MAKING AN ARGUMENT THAT MAYBE THEY FORGOT TO TURN
ON THEIR BODY CAMERAS AND THEN THEY DISCOVERED THE DRUGS
WITH THE CAMERAS OFTEN THAN THEY ARE LIKE WAY, WE WANT TO
MAKE SURE WE CATCH THIS ON CAMERA SO IT'S REENACTED THE
EXEC EXCEPT WE HAVE VIDEO BEFORE THEY FOUND ANY DRUGS
WITH THE BUDDY CAMERAS ON SOME AND ACTIVELY TURN IT OFF.
THESE ARE THE MOST NONSENSE EXCUSES YOU WILL EVER HEAR.
LET ME GIVE YOU A PERSPECTIVE.
IF YOU ARE A PERSON PROGRESSIVE YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW THIS
PERSPECTIVE AND IF YOU ARE CONSERVATIVE, HERE YOU.
I WAS YOU.
LIMIT JUST EXPLAINED THAT I GREW UP IN A NICE SUBURB, WAS SUPER
LUCKY AND WIN GENERALLY DIDN'T HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE COPS.
WE THOUGHT THE COPS WERE THERE TO PROTECT US SO I GREW UP
THINKING COPS DON'T LIE AND THERE IS A HUGE, IF YOU ARE
PROGRESSIVE OR YOU ARE BLACK OR POOR YOU MIGHT FIND THAT
LAUGHABLE, BUT THERE IS A HUGE CHUNK OF THE COUNTRY WHO
THINKS AND WAS RAISED TO BELIEVE THAT COPS DON'T LIE AND
COPS TO MAKE UP STUFF.
WHY WOULD A CALL PLAY DRUGS?
I REMEMBER HAVING AN ARGUMENT 30
YEARS AGO AND HE TOLD A STORY ABOUT HOW HIS FRIENDS HAD
DRUGS PLANTED ON THEM AND I WAS LIKE WHY WOULD THE COPS DID A?
THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.
WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO GET YOU INTO TROUBLE WITH THAT YOU
HAVE TO TRUST THE COPS.
UNTIL YOU FIND THAT THE EVIDENCE.
IT IS NOT TO SAY THAT ALL
COPS ARE BAD, THEY ARE ALL PLANNING DRUG STAFF COURSE
NOT BY THE WAY, IF YOU HAVE COPS WHO ARE DOING THIS, YOU
SHOULD WEED THEM OUT.
SORRY FOR THE PUN.
THE FOURTH OTHERWISE YOU ALL LOSE CREDIBILITY.
AND YES, IF YOU'VE BEEN TAUGHT TO BELIEVE THAT COPS NEVER
LIE, WAKE UP.
OF COURSE THEY LOST SOME LIE SOMETIMES THAT SOME COPS DO
LIKE SOME OF THE TIME.
THIS WILL BE HAVE A JUSTICE SYSTEM.
WE DON'T JUST TRUST THEM.
JUST TO MAKE A BROADER POINT ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON IN
BALTIMORE, POLICE HAVE SUSTAINED 13 ADMINISTRATIVE
MISCONDUCT CASES BASED ON BUDDY CAMERA FOOTAGE AND THAT IS
ACCORDING TO DAVIS THE GUY WANTS TO PROTECT THESE COPS.
ONE OFFICER WAS INDICTED ON CRIMINAL ASSAULT CHARGES
BASED ON BUDDY CAMERA FOOTAGE.
LOOK, BODY CAMS ARE WORKING TO SOME EXTENT AND I GUESS
THAT IS A GOOD THING, FINALLY.
THERE HAVE BEEN SOME CONSEQUENCES FOR COPS THAT ARE
BEHAVING POORLY AND NOT DOING THEIR JOBS IN A RESPONSIBLE WAY.
JUST TO GO BACK TO YOUR POINT ABOUT HOW SOME COPS DO LIE,
A STORY THAT WE DIDN'T GET TO TODAY WAS ABOUT A SAN DIEGO
POLICE OFFICER WHO GAVE A CITATION TO AMANDA HE WAS
ACCUSING A SLEEPING IN THE BED OF HIS TRUCK WHICH IS ILLEGAL.
HIS BODY CAM FOOTAGE SHOWED THAT HE ACTUALLY JUST CAME UP TO
THE GUY AS HE WAS WALKING OUT OF A PUBLIC RESTROOM.
HE WAS JUST COMPLETELY LYING ABOUT IT.
IF YOU'RE WONDERING WHY, GENERALLY, LAZINESS.
SOME PLACES HAVE QUOTAS AND HAVE TAKEN NUMBER OF ARRESTS.
WELL, IF I DON'T HAVE SOMETHING YOU ARE GUILTY OF, I HAVE
TO MAKE SURE I DON'T GET IN TROUBLE DATA HEADQUARTERS
SO I'M GOING TO ARREST THE PEOPLE ANYWAY.
AND WHOM I GOING TO ARREST?
THE POWERLESS SO THEY DON'T MESS WITH ME.
IF I ARREST THE POWERFUL AND GOING TO HAVE CONSEQUENCES
ESPECIALLY IF I AM PLANTING DRUGS ON THEM.
A LOT OF THE POWERLESS WHETHER THEY ARE POOR, AFRICAN-AMERICAN,
MIDDLE-CLASS NOW.
A LOT OF FOLKS CAN'T AFFORD LAWYERS ARE TO FIGHT BACK.
THOSE BECAUSE YOU PICK ON.
THAT IS HOW IT HAPPENS.

CNN 10 - August 4, 2017 | Limits of U.S. President`s Power for the Supreme Court - Duration: 10:01.
Thank you for starting the last week of February with CNN STUDENT NEWS. I`m Carl Azuz with
ten minutes of commercial free headlines for the classroom.
There`s a big question hovering over Ukraine right now. Who is in charge of the country?
It doesn`t look like it`s President Viktor Yanukovych. Over the weekend, Ukraine`s parliament
voted to throw him out, appointed parliament Speaker Olexander Turchinov to take on presidential
duties and scheduled new elections for late May.
Yanukovych left the capital of Kiev saying he was forced out by "vandalism, crime and
a coup." But he also said he was still Ukraine`s legitimate leader and didn`t plan to resign.
This all happened during protests in the capital. Some Ukrainians like the president want ties
with Russia, some want closer ties with the European Union. People are mourning the dozens,
who`ve died in recent clashes between the two sides. We don`t know where the president
is. We don`t know what will happen next in Ukraine.
Our second story today, closing ceremonies from Sochi, Russia is the 22 Olympic Winter
Games officially wrapped up last night. Spectacular fireworks and large scale choreography ringed
the occasion. The Paralympics start early next month. As far as the final Olympic medal
count goes, Russia got the most gold medals and the most medals overall. The first time
the host country has done that since 1952. Russia has 33 medals, the U.S. took home 28
medals overall, and in order with 26, 25 and 24 medals Norway, Canada and the Netherlands.
But as the athletes headed home the nations all over the worlds, medals and the Olympic
experience weren`t the only things they took with them. Gus Kenworthy, a U.S. Olympic silver
medalist in freestyle skiing, took home some dogs, five of them, there were thousands of
strays living around Sochi in the lead up to the games. Kenworthy loves dogs. When a
friend showed him a photo of four puppies and their mother who needed home, he decided
to adopt them taking home a dog family to his human family in the states.
The top judicial branch of the U.S. government is about to hear a case involving the executive
and legislative branches. If Congress doesn`t pass a law on a particular issue, how much
authority does the White House have? That`s one questions before the Supreme Court, the
other involves gun rights.
There`s no shortage of controversy before the court. On Monday, the justices could decide
to take cases that could significantly expand gun rights. The National Rifle Association
is challenging a Texas concealed carry law that bans anyone under 21 from carrying guns
in public. The NRA argues that Second Amendment right of self-defense extends to responsible
18 to 20 year olds, as well. And the NRA is appealing a federal ban on selling handguns
to minors saying that also violates Second Amendment rights.
After the Supreme Court recognized the individual right to have guns, the question became what
type of limitations should be put on that right?
Also, on Monday the court hears the case that could test the limits of President Obama`s
push to use his executive power when Congress won`t act. This time on climate change. At
issue, whether the EPA went too far. When without congressional approval it limited
carbon emissions from power plants, factories and other sources of greenhouse gases beyond
cars and trucks.
On the constitutional side, this is a classic conflict between Congress and the White House.
Congress has refused to give the president what he wants and now the EPA is going it
alone.
Is this legit: In the U.S., the federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. This is legit! The
United States government requires employers to pay workers at least $7.25 per hour. That`s
your answer and that`s your shoutout.
It takes an active Congress to raise the federal minimum wage. It last went up in 2009. Two
major things happen that`s done. One, minimum wage workers make more money, which can help
their standard of living, two, businesses have to pay employees more, which can hurt
their ability to stay in business. That`s why better pay, but fewer jobs is usually
part of this debate.
This is not just a good policy. It also happens to be good politics.
President Obama (INAUDIBLE) initiatives raising the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10,
and now he`d been praised on Gap.inc. A company he hopes will be a trendsetter. Gap, the parent
company of Banana Republic Old Navy and Athleta stores announced this week it will raise the
minimum wage for 65,000 employees to $9.00 by June of this year, and $10, 00 a year later.
They are still not paying me enough to be able to survive.
Luis Vasquez (ph) makes $8 an hour at a McDonald`s in New York City, fast food workers and the
unions that support them have publicly lobbied for a much bigger pay hike, $15.
$15 an hour would allow me to move into my own place and be able to pay my own bills.
But in New Jersey, Dolores Riley says if her payroll cost go any higher, she could be forced
to shut down her daycare business.
I don`t know if I can make it. I really don`t think I can afford it.
When New Jersey raised its minimum wage to $8.25 an hour in January, Riley says out of
fairness, she felt she had to increase every employer`s salary. Not just the lowest earner.
Riley estimates she`ll pay an additional $10,000 to $15,000 in payroll this year.
Which is a lot of money. I mean I`m not a rich company. I`m certainly not the Gap.
The president is calling for more companies to follow the Gap`s lead along with action
from Congress.
I`m going to be seeking Republicans who are - to work with us.
This week, the Congressional Budget Office released its minimum wage report, one that
adds fuel to both sides of a national debate.
To Republicans, the CBO report, well, it kind of hammers home their point, that if you raise
the minimum wage, you kill a lot of jobs. Democrats in the White House, they reject
that argument and they point to a different part of the report that says nearly a million
people will be raised out of poverty.
Alexandra Field, CNN, New York.
Welcome to the "Roll Call." This Monday, we are moving across the American South, starting
in Sharpsburg, Georgia. East Coweta High School is on today`s roll. Hello to the Indians.
Two states West, in Mississippi, we are glad to be online in Hattiesburg, that`s home to
the Oak Grove High School Warriors and two states west of them, in Allen, Texas, it`s
all about the Eagles. They are watching at Allen High School.
Now, a different sort of "Roll Call." One that names those who were in the highest military
decoration a U.S. service man or woman can get. For 12 years, Congress has been investigating
whether some Americans weren`t awarded the Medal of Honor because of their race or ethnicity.
The review found 19 people who the government says were discriminated against. They are
among the 24 veterans whose actions will be honored next month.
Sergeant First Class Melvin Morris was just 19, when he became a green beret. He volunteered
to go to Vietnam. In 1969, under heavy fire hit multiple times, bleeding, he rescued dead
and wounded troops. The Army says he showed "determination possessed by few men" and his
ability to lead "has rarely been equaled." Today, at 72 with his wife of 51 years, Mary,
the pride, the dignity and now - a wrong will be made right. Morris is one of 24 veterans
who decades late will receive the nation`s highest military distinction, the Medal of
Honor. It is a roll call of bravery and heroism above and beyond the call of duty for men
who served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Only Morris and two other Vietnam veterans
are still living.
In 2002, Congress ordered a review of Jewish and Hispanic veterans` war records. To find
out who may have suffered discrimination and not been awarded the honors they deserved.
Potential African American discrimination was also found. All are now being recognized.
I`d heard rumors to the fact that there were certain people who - people thought should
have received the Medal of Honor.
Retired Marine and Vietnam vet Harvey Barnum received his Medal of Honor in 1967. His unit
also under intense fire, with complete disregard for his safety, he moved to save others. Now,
he has just one message for the Vietnam survivors.
I look forward to put my arms around them and call them brother and say welcome home.
Putting arms around someone and welcoming them home. Ties in nicely to our last story
today. Three-year old Bridget Karr (ph) had no idea what was in the large box during her
birthday party. But this president unwrapped itself. Her dad, her dad who`d been deployed
in Afghanistan for four months. When he found out he`d be coming home a couple of weeks
early, on the day of her party, he presented her with himself. He posted this on YouTube,
so other family members could see it, but it went viral as an excellent example of thinking
inside the box.
That`ll box out today`s edition of CNN STUDENT NEWS. We`re back tomorrow. That should come
as no surprise. We hope you`ll gift to see us then.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson set to leave Manchester United for loan spell at Leeds United - Duration: 2:06.
Cameron Borthwick-Jackson set to leave Manchester United for loan spell at Leeds United
CAMERON BORTHWICK-JACKSON is reportedly heading for Leeds United on loan. The Manchester United defender has not been part of Jose Mourinhos pre-season plans. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson could join Leeds on loan.
He was at Wolves last season when the youngsters fitness was brought into question. And ESPN report that he is close to spending another spell in the Championship.
Borthwick-Jackson, 20, spent last season on loan at Wolves so knows the territory well. But he was criticised by then Wolves boss Paul Lambert for falling short of fitness standards.
He said: "I think Cameron is falling short at the minute. "He would have to show a lot more. He's doing all right in training but there's more he has to do.
"It's a bit of lack of fitness as well, even though he's played in the under-23s.
At this moment in time he needs more. From United boss Mourinhos point of view Leeds offer the ideal opportunity for him to gain more first-team experience.
He could even go straight into the squad for this weekends Championship opener against Bolton. Borthwick-Jackson has been restricted to 14 appearances for Manchester United.
Leeds are seeking a new defender following Charlie Taylors move to Burnley. Borthwick-Jackson broke into the United first-team under Louis van Gaal and made 14 appearances in 2015-16.
New Leeds coach Thomas Christiansen has been looking to bring in a defender to replace Charlie Taylor, who has joined Burnley. Keep up to date with all the latest news, gossip, rumours and done deals in SunSport's live transfer blog.
Leeds only have two first team left backs at present and current first choice Gaetano Berardi is right-footed and better recognised as a right-back. A look at Manchester United target and PSG ace Serge Aurier.
Tyler Denton, the other option, has featured only three times for the Whites with all three appearances coming in cup games.

Goodtimesans - Add-on for the sans. mod [Doom] - Duration: 3:39.
This is a small map that I created with Oblige to record this match and showcase the add-on.
I've never played Undertale and I don't know its fandom, although I have an idea of what it is.
But I don't care. The mod is cool and you can have fun, playing it and relaxing,
because with or without this add-on, it makes the game much easier. I also found the implemented
gameplay modifications interesting, technically speaking. I think these can be
re-used in projects not related to a dangerous amount of retard fanboys.
