To be honest, I was quite surprised when I first saw her

she's not what you'd first expect in an Event horse

you don't see many palomino Eventers

and I certainly don't remember seeing any go round Burghley recently.

I've been involved in training her for Cross Country

and she's certainly got a very good jump.

So, as long as he gets the striding right

she hasn't got a very big stride

I think she'll look after him after that.

So today we're going to work on, getting her going forward,

getting a bit of impulsion

getting ready for that Cross Country.

of plankton is actually made up of teeny tiny little things oh yeah you see there

are little animals and little green plants in the plankton but what's our

mission captain well the plankton is our mission for the next few weeks

you mean we're just going to sit here and watch little bits of green gunk we

can learn big things from little things Kwazii hi how'd it go stir crazy with

your tail stuck in one place um Kwazii I think tweak could use some help with

WHICH BODY TYPE ARE YOU? How to Train & Eat for YOUR body type? - Duration: 5:19.

In this video, we will talk about the three basic body types namely the Ectomorph, the

Mesomorph and the Endomorph.

My idea of making this video is that you get to identify which of these body types you

fall under and accordingly what kind of workout and what kind of diet is best suited to you.

So that you get the best possible results.

So without any further delay, let's get started.

Hello Friends!

Welcome to Fit Tuber.

The first body type that we are going to talk about today is the ectomorph.

Now, ectomorphs are the typical hardgainers.

They tend of narrow shoulders, small frame and overall a skinny look.

Ectomorphs find it really difficult to gain weight or put on muscle mass.

They naturally have a very low body fat percentage.

For an ectomorph, the key to training is to burn as few calories but stimulate as much

muscle as possible.

So, the best way to do that is to focus on compound exercises.

Now basically, there are two types of exercises.

There are compound exercises which involve more than two muscle groups.

For example, Bench press, dead lifts, pull ups, squats etc.

On the other hand there are isolation exercises which involve only one muscle group.

For example, bicep curls or leg extension.

So the focus should be more on compound exercises and less on isolation exercises.

An ectomorph should workout less frequently.

Like not more than 3 to 4 times a week in order to allow optimal recovery for growth.

Moreover, the workout session should not be more than 45 minutes to 60 minutes.

Because it is important for an ectomorph to preserve calories, it is advisable to have

longer rest periods in between the sets.

Like 2 to 3 minutes.

Cardio training should be key to minimum.

Like not more than once a week.

Also the cardio session should be intense but short.

Something like sprinting.

Coming to the nutritional side of things, an ectomorph should stay on a calorie surplus

of about 300 to 400 calories.

For example, your maintenance calories come out to be 2000.

So you should take about 2300 calories on a daily basis.

Now, please do not depend a lot on junk food.

It will only make you gain fat.

Because you want to stay in calorie surplus, it is always advisable to eat frequently.

So you should eat every 2 to 3 hours.

Keep your meals high in complex carbohydrates, well balanced with protein and healthy fats.

Calorie dense foods like nuts, eggs, paneer, fish, chicken will help you reach your target

easily.

For an ectomorph, if I have to give a rough estimate, 50 percent of the calories should

come from carbohydrates, 20 percent from protein and 30 percent from healthy fats.

Coming to the next body type which is mesomorph.

Mesomorph is probably the best body type to be a part of.

They naturally have a symmetrical build, wide shoulders, narrow waist.

A mesomorph finds it quite easy to put on muscle.

Also they tend to lose body fat quite effectively.

Mesomorphs are generally quite muscular and bodybuilding comes naturally to them.

A mesomorph can workout for 5 to 6 times a week, each session being one hour.

They can also throw in a few sessions of cardio like 2 to 3 times a week.

As far as diet is concerned, if only they eat clean food, they will stay very much in

shape.

They can stay on a minor calorie surplus or deficit depending upon if they are looking

gain muscle or lose body fat.

If I have to give a rough estimate of calories for a mesomorph, 45 percent of the calories

should come from carbohydrates, 30 percent of the calories should come from protein and

about 25 percent of the calories should come from healthy fats.

The next body type is the endomorph.

Endomorph is the complete opposite of the ectomorph.

They have a soft round build.

They tend to put on fat very easily because of which they generally struggle to lose weight.

Ideally, an endomorph should focus on burning more calories while working out.

So a combination of weight training and cardio training is best for them.

You can have 45 minutes of weight training with shorter rest periods in between the sets.

Followed by 15 minutes of rigorous cardio.

And endomorph should workout quite frequently like 5 to 6 times a week.

But here, the deciding factor would be diet.

For an endomorph it is very important to stay on calorie deficit of about 300 to 400 calories.

For example, your daily carbohydrate intake is 2000.

So you should take around 1700 calories on a daily basis.

Now, because your body has a tendency to put on fat very easily, you can not afford to

have too much of sugar or junk food in your diet.

So make sure you have a diet which is low in carbohydrates, high in protein, well balanced

with healthy fats, vitamins and minerals.

Make sure you include, raw vegetable salads in your diet.

A rough estimation of calories for an endomorph would be 40 percent of the calories from carbohydrates,

30 percent of the calories from protein and 30 percent from healthy fats.

So these were the 3 basic body types.

Now, just because we have talked about three body types, it doesn't mean that you have

to fit completely into one of these.

You can easily be a combination of ectomorph and mesomorph or endomorph and mesomorph.

But essentially the idea was to help you understand what your body type is.

Because when we know what our body type is we can accordingly workout and eat to get

the best possible results.

"Nobody Kill Anybody": Baltimore Calls For Weekend Ceasefire (HBO) - Duration: 6:28.

Baltimore has long been known as one of the deadliest cities in America.

It's already seen 208 homicides this year—

putting it on pace for its most murders ever.

Some frustrated residents are now pushing for a 72-hour ceasefire

they're calling "nobody kill anybody."

— Y'all know about the Baltimore ceasefire?

You know about the Baltimore ceasefire?

There's a bunch of Baltimore residents trying to have 72 hours and no murder.

It's this weekend,

so it's August 4th through 6th.

— That's right, yeah!

— All the way.

— Erricka Bridgeford is sick of the rising murder rate.

But when her son told her this could be a record year,

she got pissed off.

— So we're telling everybody to tell everybody…

— She's part of a group that's calling for a weekend ceasefire.

— A lot of people hear you saying, "Don' t kill anybody for 72 hours,"

and say, "That's not going to happen."

— Yeah.

— How do you respond to that?

— I say, you can't make a decision,

with whoever you roll with,

that you can't keep this six-block radius from anything happening?

Then, like, what are you doing?

— The slogan is simple:

nobody kill anybody.

But that's a tall order in Baltimore.

The city's on track to hit 400 murders this year.

— Murdered.

Young lady, murdered.

Murdered,

and it's just like…

murdered.

— Shaun Young grew up in Baltimore's Sandtown neighborhood.

Like a lot of people here,

he finds out about homicides in the city via Instagram.

— Do you ever open this thing up and see someone you know?

— Yeah, that's what I am trying to tell you.

I know, at least once a month,

you see one of your homeboys just passed away—

he's been murdered. It's like…

I dunno.

It's sad, but it's reality.

It's… Baltimore.

Don't none of it make sense when you look when you look at it logically—

just like the ceasefire:

"Okay, stop killing each other for a weekend."

That does not make sense.

To address people and say, "Okay y'all, y'all are killing each other."

What's the issue?

What can we do for y'all to actually try to fix this,

as opposed to just saying, "Stop killing each other for the weekend?"

— Residents don't feel like the city is doing enough

to address social and economic problems in the inner city.

Then there's the fact that, last year, more than half of all murders went unsolved.

It's a cycle that can leave criminals emboldened

and witnesses intimidated.

— Why isn't anybody doing anything about the murders?

— But we are.

But we are.

— Mayor Catherine Pugh has been in office for seven months.

— …and they don't understand what has taken place already…

— She inherited a police force that the Justice Department found to be

poorly trained, racist, and prone to using excessive force.

— We're focused on how we reduce violence in our city

and what we must do as a community to reduce violence,

because this is not just a police issue.

It's a community issue.

— Do you think that this weekend, basically this ceasefire,

is going to be successful?

— Absolutely.

I think the fact that people in the community have

taken it upon themselves to say, "We need this to stop."

So, to the extent that we continue to have those voices echo throughout our neighborhoods,

is success to me.

— But part of the reason the community is calling for a ceasefire

is because they don't think the Baltimore Police Department will protect them.

Especially in the last couple of years…

— …Baltimore has seen Freddie Gray die in the back of a police van,

seen two recent videos showing officers allegedly planting drugs,

and seen seven officers get indicted for robbing civilians.

But Baltimore Police Department spokesman T.J. Smith

says the media is ignoring the positive things the department is doing.

And as for the cease fire:

— We're 1,000 percent supportive of the idea,

the concept, as a police department,

but we're not on the front lines of this.

We're there if they need us.

— So how does that work, though,

because I think, in a way,

we're talking about reducing murders, right?

Isn't that y'all's job?

— It's everybody's job.

Any community that thinks public safety is strictly law enforcement's job,

they're probably a community that's failing at it.

— A lot of people are saying, "We don't trust the police to be involved."

— Well, I think you can find people who'll say that,

just like you can find a ton that'll say the opposite.

We're not focused on the negative.

— There is the demographic,

who's the demographic that we're talking about,

you know, 18- to 30-year-old black males, for the most part.

And a lot of them are…

— No, a lot of them aren't.

A lot of them aren't.

That is a fallacy.

That is a blanket statement to say

the majority or a lot of 18- to 30-year-old black men don't trust the police.

— I think there are some.

— There are some, you're absolutely right.

But to make it a blanket, that the majority of 'em,

I don't think there is proof positive that that's accurate if we go across the country.

— So are you expecting help from police?

— No, not really.

And like, the citizens, we're getting tired, man.

So, after a while…

we're going to have to take things into our own hands.

— City officials can look at the ceasefire as a partnership.

But a lot of citizens see it as the exact opposite—

fixing their own community because the city won't help them.

So even if the ceasefire is successful,

some people will think it was despite the government,

and not because of it.

— A lot of people say, "72 hours… that's a Band-Aid."

— Absolutely.

You understand when you are on the frontlines

that everything you do in that moment is a Band-Aid.

But I'm cool with people thinking that I'm naive,

and that this is stupid.

I'm cool with that because I know that if I stop,

and all the other people in Baltimore who're doing the work, if they stop,

you would really see the murder rate go up.

You will see how much these little Band-Aids, that you call,

were actually doing something in this city.

Earliest Intervention for Emerging ASD: Innovations in Caregiver-Mediated Approaches | Jessica Brian - Duration: 4:33.

I'm just going to set the stage for you.

This is a 3 month old baby,

his dad is holding him this way in his arm

and they're looking at each other in the face.

So the first thing that you may notice is

that this little three-month-old is looking quite intently at his father's face.

You may also notice that he's smiling.

So there's something about his father's face that he finds pleasing

and he's smiling to show that

We don't know from the picture, but I can tell you it's quite likely that his father is also smiling

It's very hard not to smile when your baby smiles at you,

so baby smiles have a lot of value for adults.

So let's imagine this scenario playing out in a over the next few seconds.

What may happen is

the baby's smile might start to fade a tiny bit.

Dad starts thinking, I enjoyed that smile -

how am I going to get it back?

I'll do something funny

Make a funny sound, make a funny face -

baby smiles again, dad gets rewarded,

this feels good,

I'm going to try it again.

Baby smiles again. So now there's this feedback loop or a sort of reciprocal interaction between Dad and baby

where they're enjoying each other's company, and they're having fun together

Now dad's been doing this for a couple of minutes.

He wants to take a quick break. - maybe breathe

And baby notices hey the game stopped.

How do I get this game going again?

So this is when babies might start to just lean in a bit lean forward

Laugh a little bit, open their eyes a bit wider to keep things going.

So that's sort of creating a social overture.

In the next few months of development this baby is going to learn much more

sophisticated ways to have to get game started

and to show that he wants games to continue.

So these are all developmental skills that emerge very early in life

within the first year of life and are

typically quite well developed by the time a baby is two years of age.

What we know from research is that all of these areas have

also been found to be areas of concern or

difficulty for babies who go on to develop autism spectrum disorder.

So what we see in these babies are sometimes

reduce

time spent looking at caregivers face,

reduced smiling, reduced social overtures or initiating interactions and

challenges of communication

So this brings us to the question if

we can identify these concerns very early in development

Is there anything we can do to help these kids develop?

This question motivated my team to develop a parent mediated intervention

for toddlers who are showing early signs of autism spectrum disorder

It takes on the developmental and behavioral perspective

and we really just work with caregivers

to find ways to enhance their babies communication and social affect.

I'll tell you very quickly about some results

we follow these babies and look at them over time at three time points.

We watch some playing with their caregiver

before we do any training.

We see them again 12 weeks later,

and then we see them again 12 weeks after that.

We've just completed a randomized control trial

where we taught one group of families the social ABCs intervention

and we followed controls over the same period of time

and what we're finding is if you look at the

blue lines you'll see that the families who receive the social ABCs

intervention training learn the techniques,

their babies responded to them at a high level and

they had increased initiations

or sort of social overtures with their parents.

We saw parents smiling more and we saw an association between

increased parents smiling and increase baby smiling and

increased time spent looking at caregivers faces

We spoke to the parents.

They didn't report increased stress from being involved in this intervention,

and they reported feeling self-efficacy,

empowerment and satisfaction with the program.

So really the take-home message for us is that we know that we can detect

risk for ASD very early in life and

this research shows that we can also

implement very low cost interventions low resource interventions

that have the potential to have

significant impacts for these kids very early in development

to set a foundation for their future ongoing development.

A Technology-Based Approach for Detection of Anxiety in ASD | Azadeh Kushki - Duration: 3:19.

Timer is on, so I'm not gonna say hi

Up to 85 percent of children with

ASD experience impairing symptoms of anxiety

and 40% have at least one anxiety disorder

Anxiety can have a very significant

impact on physical and mental health of children

and can negatively affect long-term outcomes

Unfortunately for many children with ASD,

there are currently no evidence-based treatments

available for anxiety

There are many reasons for this

One of these reasons is that

ASD can

be associated with difficulties in

recognizing and understanding one's own emotions

and internal states

So we can teach children all kinds of relaxation strategies

but if they're not able to recognize the signs that they're getting anxious

and initiate those strategies in a timely manner

they would not be able to effectively

cope with their anxiety signs

To address this challenge

we've come up with an alternative way

for children to recognize their signs of anxiety

And this is called the anxiety meter

So the anxiety meter is an app that reads children's heart rates and

translates that into a visual display of their anxiety levels

So when we're in the green zone that means that you're at your typical

arousal levels, when we're in the yellow zone

that means that our arousal level is

escalating so this would be a good time to implement some of those strategies

And then finally once we're in the red zone

this means that you are in a hyper arousal state

What does the anxiety meter look like?

Well here it is - this is our newest prototype

We have a number of different implementations

and basically it's an app so we can go on different hardware platforms

This one is the watch, it's the Samsung watch,

that you can just buy from Best buy

and it measures your heart rate and it

does all the computations and

provides you with a measure of arousal

We've done a number of different studies

to look at whether or not this technology actually works

We have looked at the accuracy of the device

does it actually detect anxiety accurately

and the answer is yes -

under lab conditions,

we can detect anxiety with up to 95% accuracy

We've done a number of usability studies

to see if the kids can understand what the device is about

and if they can actually enjoy

using the device and the answer again is yes

We are currently completing a randomized control trial

to look at whether or not this device can

improve awareness of anxiety in children with ASD

The the trial is not complete,

but our preliminary results show that the answer is yes there as well

So our next step is to hopefully move the this device to the community

and be able to get some feedback

on how this would work in everyday settings

Cinnamon

Several components in cinnamon promote glucose metabolism and reduce cholesterol.

Studies have shown that in people with diabetes; just one-half teaspoon of cinnamon powder

per day can significantly decrease fasting blood glucose levels and increase insulin

sensitivity.

There are many ways to add cinnamon to your diet.

You can sprinkle some in your coffee, stir it into your morning oatmeal, or add it to

chicken or fish dishes.

You can also soak a medium-sized cinnamon stick in hot water to make a refreshing cup

of cinnamon tea.

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are a starchy vegetable that contains the antioxidant beta-carotene along

to salads, soups, casseroles or other dishes.

Beans

Beans are a good source of dietary fiber and are also rich in protein, magnesium and potassium.

All these minerals are very important for those who have diabetes.

Beans can slow the digestion process and help maintain your blood sugar level after eating

a meal.

You can choose from kidney, pinto, navy, white, lima, garbanzo, soy or black beans depending

upon which you like to eat.

Beans can be incorporated into your diet in many ways including as an ingredient in main

dishes, adding to soup or salad, or as a side dish.

Dark Green Leafy Vegetables

Dark green leafy vegetables are very low in calories and carbohydrates and contain a good

amount of vitamin C, insoluble fiber, magnesium and lots of calcium.

All these nutrients are helpful for diabetics as they have virtually no impact on your blood

sugar level.

Studies show that leafy veggies lower the risk of Type 2 diabetes.

To prevent or help manage diabetes, be sure to eat two servings of dark green leafy vegetables

such as spinach, kale, chard, collard greens, mustard greens and other leafy greens daily.

Berries

Berries of all kinds are packed with antioxidants, vitamins and fiber that can help control your

blood sugar levels while also protecting against cancer and heart disease.

You can choose different types of berries like strawberries, cranberries, black berries

and so on.

Berries are a smart substitute when you feel the urge to eat something sweet.

You can add fresh berries to cereals or salads, eat the dried versions as a healthy snack,

and use them to make low-sugar desserts.

Fish

Fish that is high in omega-3 fatty acids must be eaten on a regular basis if you are diabetic.

Fish is a good source of protein, and a great substitute for higher-fat meats.

Aim to eat fish at least twice a week.

Cold-water fatty fishes like salmon, sardines, halibut, herring, mackerel, and tuna are best

for diabetics.

You�ll want to eat baked or grilled fish and try to avoid breaded and deep-fried varieties.

If you do not eat fish, consult a doctor about taking fish oil supplements.
