Waching daily Aug 4 2017

Greeting, my friends! I'm Argyris from Heroes For A Day.

You're tuned in to the new Transformers: Armada video

and now the moment you've all been waiting for:

Combiners! Combiners! Combiners!

Alright, we have Jetfire, Optimus Prime and Overload and they're all going to start transforming!

To do it properly, we're going to show them in order of appearance in the episodes.

At first, we'll leave Overload on the side.

Now, to make it easy, I'm not going to convert Optimus back and forth all the time.

I'll leave him like this and I'll put aside the base, because we don't need it for now either.

We'll come to Jetfire, because he's the one who changes the most.

Take off his gun.

Take off his shield.

Collapse the head, collapse the shuttle nose and lift it upwards.

It would be like transforming him half-way back to vehicle.

Rotate the fist in order to line it up better.

See, the back of the palm is flatter.

Now, because Jetfire becomes the legs, I don't care if the back is split.

Slide up the lower legs and rotate the knees like this.

Take the wings, rotate them down,

But don't leave them front.

Place them on the side of the leg, right about there.

Same on the other side.

On the nose, take this panel and slide it down. It just rests there.

And open up the side pieces.

This is the waist of the robot.

Take Optimus, take Jetfire's shield, which has these hinges

that click onto Optimus' torso. And the whole thing pegs on the waist

to form Jet Optimus!

The super form that Optimus used the most in Transformers: Armada

was Jet Optimus or Jet Convoy as he named himself in his debut.

It was probably due to the original Japanese dub.

He was named Jet Convoy originally.

In general, there were some issues in the dubbing from Japanese to English.

It definitely looks better. The legs are separate, even though they lack mobility.

Only the lower part turns and they move a little to the side.

He hasn't got leg articulation like Omega Prime, but he retains arm articulation.

Yet the smokestacks still hinder it.

See it from all sides.

Now, Jet Optimus was Optimus' combined form used the most,

since Jetfire debuted in the series.

It is not the only one though!

He has another one, and to show it, I'm going to split them up again.

Take off Jetfire's weapon, take off Jet Optimus' chestplate,

move Jetfire to the side

and bring back the base, making him Super Optimus Prime again.

Before I make him Super Optimus, I'll remove the smokestacks.

I'm afraid of breaking them and not being able to peg them back.

Now, to peg him back on.

In the series it never happens, but you can join the halves and create a small blaster for Optimus in his normal mode.

Take Overload, remove the head,

clip these pieces back to place

and right here they line up with the legs.

Slide the lower legs sideways, open this panel,

line up the barrel.

Do the same on this side. Slide it, open up the panel,

(the missiles are loose because the spring looks like it's busted)

Now, rotate the thighs upwards and turn them.

Bring down this piece; line up this piece and its ready.

I'll try to show it up close.

Go overhead, line him up a bit and it slides in there.

And this is Magna Cannon Optimus, who uses Overload as shoulder cannons.

(still can't use the missiles)

The first time Optimus used him in cannon mode was in Overload's debut,

where a black version of Optimus Prime was created,

something like Nemesis Prime, whom they were fighting.

Optimus showed Overload without explaining where he came from,

who is he, if he had a personality or if he was a drone.

But we got to see this amazing mode!

Now, what I showed you before, about Overload's gun,

the gun mode that Overload's head has.

You can place it in Optimus' hand; it fits like a glove.

But they haven't actually shown this, so I'll leave it like this to be more show accurate.

And of course he launches powerful blasts from his cannons.

It's not his ultimate final mode, though!

Unfortunately, Magna Cannon Optimus appeared only twice.

At least, these two times he showed us some badassery!

The actual problem was with the ultimate mode.

I'm putting aside Optimus, I'm putting aside the base, I'm bringing back Jetfire,

I'm pegging Optimus on top again, I'm putting on the chestplate

And now I'm connecting Overload on top once again!

Magna Jet Optimus!

The ultimate combining mode. Perhaps it's the only case where Optimus

powerlinks with two robots at the same time!

He had two combiner partners too in the sequel series,

but he didn't link up with them at the same time.

The downside of this form is that he transformed only twice

and he did absolutely nothing with it!

Nothing as in NOTHING!

The first time he transformed, he went on to face Galvatron and did nothing.

The next time he transformed, he went on to face Unicron, along with Galvatron,

and he still did nothing!

No lasers, no battle, no fighting.

He just transformed and that was it! Because reasons… I don't know what they were thinking.

Anyway…

And with this we conclude Optimus Prime's transformations from Transformers: Armada.

Before we wrap up the video, let me give you a 360 view.

My bad; I should have thought of it earlier.

To show you how this figure looks as a whole.

Look at him! He's absolutely massive, he's taller than Omega Prime.

He looks incredible! He has everything; you can do whatever you want with him!

Really beautiful!

But I still have another video for you.

It's not as massive as this one, but still from Transformers: Armada.

Something teeny-tiny, we'll see it next time.

Farewell!

The Heroic Continues!

What are the different ways of taking cannabinoids for MS? - Duration: 1:24.

What are the different ways of taking cannabis if you don't want to smoke it?

Sure.

So legal cannabinoids, of which there are a couple in the UK, there's a spray, the

trade name is Sativex, and that contains two cannabinoids and you spray it in your mouth

and that's absorbed reasonably well.

And then there's a capsule called Nabilone which is also legally prescribable, but it's

only the Sativex which is licensed for use in MS, but annoyingly, not funded by the NHS

in England.

Right, but you can buy it in private prescription?

Yeah, you can get a doctor to write a private prescription.

It's jolly expensive.

It generally works out, I believe it's about £500 a month.

I personally don't prescribe that, I take the attitude that I want to give my private

patients the same as my NHS patients and I don't want to get involved with prescribing

cannabinoids because otherwise you end up with a rush of people.

Magic Lantern Ep18 - The true knight - stories for kids animated cartoons - Moolt Kids Toons - Duration: 5:31.

Once upon a time when Mom and Dad were children

and used to go sledging and jumping the rope

all fairy tails were full of kindness

And the Lanterns were magical

Believe in a magical land

And see you together, it's grand

It's snorkeling adventure today

Our Lantern will show us the way

Magic lantern

Okay, Mike. Turn off the video game, now

we're going to watch a slideshow

No, I will not turn it off

Mike, the boys should always

respect the girls' request

Oh, really? Says who?

Why should I even care about that? I'm not

quitting, you know, the knights need me right now

Oh, Mike. You're still so far from becoming a

knight. Get ready and I'll show you the proper way

that you should treat girls with respect

OK, switching on the magic lantern

"The true knight Ivanhoe", based on a book by Sir Walter Scott

Ever since his childhood little Ivanhoe used to get away his seat to girls and help old

ladies cross the street whenever they needed it

"He is a true knight" - said about Ivanhoe

No way, a true knight is one who has

shiny armor and sword

Anyway

The knight Ivanhoe liked the beautiful Rowena who lived in the neighborhood

and often walked by

Come on, everyone knows that knights are never interested in girls

And the sneaky Brian lived close to

the both of them

He was greedy and witty. And he also liked Rowena a lot

It's only Rowena and what's so special about her anyway?

When Ivanhoe grew up, he became

a true knight. He immediately left to go on his heroic quests. This is the tradition

for true Knights.

Yeah, I've heard that before

All knights go on quests, it's what a knight does

Ivanhoe went on numerous

quests and was gone from home for a long time

meanwhile Rowena was alone in the castle and was sad

So what? Why should he worry about her? His quest will keep him busy

The sneaky Brian was happy. Rowena would soon forget about Ivanhoe

Ivanhoe will

be the one to forget about Rowena. What does he need her for?

One day Brian came galloping to Rowena's house and said: "Rowena, marry me!"

No way, forget it

"The one who I'll marry must be a true knight" - said Rowena

She means Ivanhoe but

he's too busy to get married

"Well, that's great" - said the sneaky Brian, "I will organize a tournament for

true knights and will defeat all the rivals!"

Yeah, let there be a tournament!

Brian quickly defeated all the rivals. He was

already celebrating his victory when another knight

suddenly arrived . He was wearing a cloak of crimson and white and an

iron helmet

Wow! Who is that?

The rivals rushed at each other! A blow, then another! And the defeated Brian

fell to the ground

Yeah, serves you right!

The winner took off his helmet. "Ivanhoe!"

-everybody shouted joyfully

Ivanhoe!

Why did he come back?

But the sneaky Brian suddenly woke up, captured Rowena and

rushed into his castle. "If there's even a little knighthood in you, come out and

fight me!"

- Ivanhoe shouted to Brian

Hold on!

Did he get mad because of Rowena?

Brian was ashamed for his behavior. He came out to

fight Ivanhoe

You have to be a strange knight to fight for a girl!

Ivanhoe defeated Brian

once again. No, Mike, he's not a strange knight

He is a true knight!

And some will even not turn off a video game for a girl, let alone fight for one

Then Ivanhoe married the beautiful Rowena

And again, he embarked on his way to do more quests

As you know, this is the tradition of the true knights

OK, OK, I granted your wish

we watched your slideshow and now it's time to go on my quest. I'm turning the

video game back on

What are cannabinoids and are they being researched for treatment of MS in the UK? - Duration: 4:24.

Why is cannabis not being researched as a treatment for MS?

Well, there have been some researches into cannabinoids in MS.

I think we need to be clear that cannabis is a plant in a range of plants, cannabis

plants, so people use them for making rope and I believe that doesn't contain too much

psychoactive ingredient, we're not talking about that.

We're talking about the chemicals which change things in your body which are in cannabis

plants and they're called cannabinoids, in the same way as in the opium poppy you

have opiates, of which there are many, they're not all the same.

There's a range of opinion, I think, about which cannabinoids, if any, might be helpful

for people with MS.

There's been research done that's not sponsored by the pharma or drug industry,

so I think quite unbiased research.

Two big studies, one looking at spasticity with an oral cannabinoid and one looking at

whether it changes the progression of progressive MS with an oral cannabinoid.

The spasticity study, it showed possibly a modest benefit, but not much.

And the progressive study was big fat negative.

Now, there are other studies sponsored by the drug, or pharma industry as they want

to be called now, p-h pharma, and the problem is that any study sponsored by the industry

may have a bias.

For example, you've got the sort of BMW versus Mercedes study, sponsored by BMW, guess

what the result's going to be?

You know, so if you have a study sponsored by a person who manufactures a drug, they

may have a bias towards the drug, and so there's a worry there.

I think people who are into evidence based medicine will worry about industry sponsored

trials.

But the trouble is, that's where all the data is.

Now, the industry trials on the Sativex spray show some benefit in some MS symptoms, but

the size of benefit has been thought insufficient to justify the really very high cost of the

drug.

And the difficulty is, I think, the data is out there, the cost is a bit on the high side,

that's where we are.

It's been said that the NHS has said no, why then would the company go and do more

data.

Right.

How much evidence is anecdotal and how much is researched?

Okay, so there's a lot of anecdotal evidence.

There are many people using cannabis legally or illegally and who are saying that that

helps their MS, and my patients tell me that, or some of them do.

I suspect there are some who try it and don't think they can tell me, which is a pity because

I think people should be open with me.

I think part of the difficulty is we know why cannabis is used recreationally and illegally,

because it brings euphoria for some people.

It does upset some people, some people get anxious and paranoid, it doesn't suit everybody.

But it makes some people abnormally happy and we like that, we want to be happy.

Let's say that I give you a legal cannabinoid for your MS and you feel great, is that because

you're high or is it because it helps your symptoms?

That's a really big problem in trying to decide.

The other difficulty is that people aren't going to try cannabis or cannabinoids for

MS unless they already think it's likely to help, and that brings a bias, particularly

if you come to me and I say sorry, can't prescribe, and then you get upset and it makes

you want it more.

It stimulates demand if I say no and then people want it and of course it's then going

to work for them.

If we go back to a less sort of naughty drug, you think about drugs like interferon in MS,

I remember when they first came out about 20 years ago, patients were gagging for it

and the government wouldn't let them have it, and it stimulated demand.

When you can have interferon for MS, actually it's not a very strong drug and we don't

really want that any more, we want stronger drugs.

So I think that part of the enthusiasm for cannabinoids in MS is generated by the NHS

and by doctors saying no.

As soon as you say you can have it, I don't want it any more.
