Waching daily Aug 4 2017

I think the Republican Party is in a crisis.

I think Barry Goldwater in 1960 recognized that the Republican Party had been compromised

by the New Deal.

Similarly today, I think the party has been compromised by things like populism.

You can win elections with populism, but it's

not really a governing philosophy.

A conservative is deliberate and measured,

and some of the activity in the White House has been chaotic.

There are some things that are profoundly

unconservative -  his demeanor and his behavior sometimes.

His reference to people in Congress on both sides of the aisle as "losers" or "clowns."

If we're going to enact conservative policy.

For example, if we're going to deal with this massive debt and deficit, and there's nothing

more conservative than putting us on a fiscal path that is sustainable, then we're going

to have to sit down with our colleagues across the aisle.

With regard to foreign policy, a conservative

is nothing if he's not measured and sober and deliberative in our use of force and use

of diplomacy.

We need to embrace our allies and recognize our adversaries.

And I think that that's very much been missing in today's world.

With regard to immigration, I think conservatives

have traditionally been welcoming of immigrants.

Ronald Reagan was certainly that.

In his second inaugural address, he talked about America as he saw it - this shining

city on a hill.

That to me is traditional conservatism.

But when we put forward policies that would cut in half legal immigration, I don't think

that that's conservative.

I think that we ought to do certainly what is good for our security, for our economy,

and to recognize that we are a nation of immigrants, and that we are at our best when we are welcoming

of immigrants.

I understand that on the right, I'll be criticized

by some who say, "You're not with the president."

To some people, you have to be with the president on everything or you're not a true conservative

or you're not a true Republican.

On the left, you can never go far enough on your voting record or your statements.

So I'm in a bit of a difficult position.

But I think as people read the book, if they read it in its context, and in the way that

I intended it, they'll understand why I'm taking this stand.

Reality Gossip | Khloe Kardashian Responds to O.J. Simpson Rumors: Is He Her Father?! - Duration: 4:28.

Khloe Kardashian Responds to O.J. Simpson Rumors: Is He Her Father?!

If you were anywhere near an Internet-enabled device yesterday, then you no doubt heard the news:. After nine years behind bars on armed robbery charges, former NFL star O.J. Simpson has been paroled.

Yes, it looks like the football great and likely double-murderer might be a free man as early as October 1. The 70-year-old Simpson, of course, is one of the most notorious public figures in America.

As a result, it stands to reason that the question of what hell do after his release is looming large today. Will he write another ill-advised memoir, or did he learn his lesson the first time?.

Will he attempt to re-enter public life, or simply lay low?. And, of course, will the Juice make an appearance on Maury to settle the most famous paternity mystery since Jon Snow?.

As you may have heard, a rumor that O.J. is Khloe Kardashians father has been circulating on the Internet for years and years. Proponents cite several pieces of evidence, including the fact that Kris Jenner and Simpson ran in the same social circles.

(The physical dissimilarities between Khloe and her sisters is perhaps the biggest driver of this long-running theory. One thing that is fact, father than fiction, is that at the time of his arrest for double murder, Simpson was tight with the family.

O.J. was so close with the Kardashians that they were prominently featured in the FX miniseries about the Simpson trial. So some considered it strange that the 33-year-old Khloe didnt comment on the news of Simpsons impending release.

And the Internet being the Internet, a handful of folks flocked to Khloes Instagram page to try and coax a comment out of her.

Khloe posted the above pic to her Instagram page yesterday, and not surprisingly, many of the comments had little to do with the photo.

O.J. was the news of the day, and the reactions to Khloes photo reflected that. sometimes amusingly, other times inappropriately. "Dad's on his way home from that vacation your mom told you about when you were a kid, joked one fan.

"The face you make when you find out Daddy's home #oj, commented another. "Your dad is out of prison girl, u must be thrilled, wrote a third.

Eventually, Khloe broke Internet Rule Number One and fed the trolls, but she did so without debasing herself by engaging in one-on-one arguments.

"People are a--oles but I don't care lol. I focus on the good," Khloe wrote. "They are all f-cked lol such a--holes.. Hehe oh well… I'm happy and they hatin'.

Jokes are one thing, but mean-spirited comments made directly to Khloe without an iota of wit are uncalled for. And, as many fans pointed out, in some cases, theyre disrespectful to the late Robert Kardashian Sr.

The elder Robert Kardashian died in 2003 at the age of 59; Kris Jenner and Kardashian married in 1978 but later divorced.

Fortunately, Khloes been in the spotlight for the better part of two decades, so she knows exactly how to handle this sort of thing by now.

Wall-e Is From The Bible?! - Duration: 4:46.

>> Crazy Nate: Hey Gents and Gentlets, welcome back.

I'm your host Crazy Nate, and today we're talking about Wall-e.

That's right, I know we already talked about it but this is going to be like part two.

There is a bible story tangled inside Wall-e.

If you do or don't believe in the bible, don't worry I'm not going to be all preachy at you.

But, this is a true story, and it's all connected, don't worry, I have proof.

Let's go!

[intro music plays]

>> Crazy Nate: So which Bible story is Wall-e based on?

Let me tell you.

Have you ever heard of a guy called Noah?

Well, guess what?

Wall-e is based on Noahs Ark.

>> Minion: WhatttT?!

>> Crazy Nate: So what's Noah's Ark?

Basically Noah's Ark is about the world was so full of sin and garbage and trash, spiritual

trash that God decided we need to hit reset.

So he decided to flood the entire world and then Noah and his family built a massive boat.

And then they floated around the world until all the water drained.

Then to find out when went down enough that there's land, they would send out a bird.

The first bird they sent out was a raven.

That raven was supposed to go and try to find some piece of land and bring it back to show

them TADA!

There's land.

It never came back.

Then the second bird, a dove was sent out to go and try and find land.

Guess what?

It found land.

That's right got a little olive branch and flew it all back to the ship and then they're

like yeah!

We're saved.

So then I see you typing in your keyboard well how does that relate to Wall-e?

[explosion]

>> Crazy Nate: So get this.

The world was covered in trash, physical or spiritual, and then the world was destroyed

by water or toxic chemicals.

>> BnL CEO: Do not return to earth.

>> Crazy Nate: So then they got into a giant ship...

and flew out into the water or space.

And then they sent out a bird.

A raven.

Ravens are ugly, and Wall-e's a little bit ugly.

>> Kid: You're ugly!

>> Crazy Nate: And guess what?!

They never came back...

They're supposed to find the land and then bring it back, they never brought it back

to the ship!

So then, after waiting for quite some time.

700 years, or 40 days and nights, I don't know.

They decided to send out another bird.

This time they decided to send out a DOVE.

A white dove.

So here we go, we have Eve the white dove.

And then what is Eve looking for the entire time it's on earth?

A plant!

So I'm thinking here that the plant that Wall-e found and stuck in the boot is a olive tree.

Little baby olive tree.

So Eve gets it and then takes it back to the ship or the boat, and then they realize hey

earth is safe again, we can go back to earth.

So then the ship finally returns home.

>> Andrew Stanton: Here's our big landing of the Axiom.

To me that was sort of a promise that it's gotta come back to earth and it's gotta land

and it's gotta be majestic and huge.

>> Jimmy Fallon: HUUUUGGEEE!!!

>> Andrew Stanton: And uh... be a modern day Ark....

A MODERN DAY ARKKKK...

>> Crazy Nate: After the ship landed I was half expecting a rainbow to show up somewhere

in space.

That was God's little promise that He wasn't going to flood the world ever ever ever ever

again.

So now am I just one of those crazy psychos with a conspiracy theory and this is just

like some far stretch from Wall-e and what Pixar actually meant it for?

>> Crazy kid: YEAH!

>> Crazy Nate: Maybe, but guess what, I promised you I have proof.

Proof

Proof

You know Andrew Stanton right?

The director.

If you own the movie you can watch it with the commentary turned on.

And guess what he says...

>> Andrew Stanton: The big idea of Wall-e inadvertently for just falling in love with

a character and wanting to pursue love and gain it would bring humanity back to itself,

bring humanity back to earth.

And that sort of lead me to a sort of Noah's Ark...

Noah's Ark, getting that olive branch from the dove and everybody know it's ok, it's

time to go back and landing back on the planet and things start all over again.

So there we have it, right from the mouth of the director Andrew Stanton, Wall-e indeed

was inspired by Noah, from Noah's Ark, from the bible.

You already knew about the whole Noah's Ark thing?

Well if you really know Wall-e as much as you think you do, then go ahead and go to

CrazyNate.com and try to take the Wall-e test.

See if you can pass.

If you did pass challenge your friends.

Thanks for watching.

I hope you enjoyed hanging out.

If you haven't done so already, go ahead subscribe, and turn the little bell on so you don't miss

any notifications.

Here's a few other videos for you to watch, and remember most importantly of all Gents

and Gentlets, share a smile, they are contagious.

1814 Half Dollar, Struck Off Center, Is Only Partially There | 1814 Capped Bust Half Dollar - Duration: 1:47.

An 1814 Capped Bust half dollar that sold in Heritage Auctions' recent sale of U.S. coins in Dallas

is of two major error types. It was struck about 5 percent off center and it was struck at least three times.

The coin carries two major error types. It was struck about 5 percent off center, and it was struck at least three times.

Notice the dentils along the top of Liberty's head and the doubled dentils at the top of the obverse.

The earliest U.S. coins, those pieces struck from 1793 to about 1836, were struck within what is called an "open collar."

The collar is the third die, essentially a ring made of hardened steel that surrounds the planchet

while it is being struck by the faces of the obverse and reverse dies.

An open collar was slightly larger in diameter than the intended coin and served both as a guide

for placement of the planchet in the press and to lightly restrain outward metal flow of the coin during striking.

Pieces struck inside an open collar would vary slightly in diameter, and the collar did not form the edge devices

(the 1814 half dollar had an edge inscription, placed on the planchet before striking). Those attributes contrast

with coins struck within what is called a close collar, which replaced the open collars in the mid-1830s.

A close collar tightly restricted metal flow, ensuring a standard diameter, and at the same time formed the edge device.
