Waching daily Aug 3 2017

Hey, MJC students!

Guess what.

You can now ride all city

and county buses anywhere,

for free!

All you need to have is:

All your student fees paid off,

and you need to have

a student activity sticker,

along with an I.D.

So, let's go get that

activity sticker!

On East campus,

you can get your student I.D.

and activity sticker

at the Student Activity Center;

inside the Student Center.

All you have to do

is turn in a Benefit Application.

The super friendly staff

will be happy to help you

get and I.D. card;

or just a new sticker.

Or, if you want to get your

sticker even faster,

you can visit the Business Office;

inside the Student Services Building.

The staff can look up your account,

and give you your sticker

on the spot.

It's awesome!

You don't even have to fill out

an application!

And on West campus,

the Mary Stuart Rogers Building

is where you'll go

for your school I.D. card and sticker.

Now let's go wait for the bus!

And here's our East campus bus stop.

And this is our West campus bus stop!

To find bus schedules

and bus stop locations,

you can visit these websites.

Now remember,

with your student I.D. card,

you can take these buses anywhere.

Many of these buses

stop running between

7 and 9:30 p.m.

So if you have a late class,

remember to check

the routes and the times

your bus stops running.

Or if you would like to get

from one campus to another,

The Pirate Shuttle is another

great, free option for MJC students.

The Pirate Shuttle schedule

and stop locations

can be found on MJC's website.

Remember, have your I.D. card ready!

All you have to do

is show your I.D. card

and activity sticker

to the bus driver

for your free ride.

Now that the bus is free,

it's super cost-effective!

You can save money on gas,

plus all the time and frustration

of having to find parking.

And here's my stop!

So if you haven't considered

using the bus to get around,

check out the schedules

and stops online.

You just might be surprised

at how many places you can go.

See you on the bus!

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer Stands Up for Ukraine - Duration: 2:28.

Q: And mainly what is the right policy towards Russia, given about it completely violates international law, wages cyberwar

and threatens its neighbours?

Well, as someone who is still banned from Russia, I think that Canada's

outspoken defense of Ukraine's right to exist, to have sovereign borders that -

and sovereignty in general - Canada must always be a passionate voice for that, and I think any conversation with the Putin regime has to begin

with a very

important principle that I think was summed up

very eloquently and very simply when the previous Prime Minister told Vladimir Putin to get out of Ukraine; and when that happens,

you know, I think the relationship between the two countries can start to address other aspects more meaningfully.

But obviously there are a lot of concerns about

regional instability

and the Conservative Party is very concerned about that and would like to see

more action by the Liberal government to stand up for those important principles

and to take it more seriously.

One of the things I'm very,

very disheartened by is the "go-along-to-get-along" attitude of the Liberals when it comes to

appeasing the Communist regime in China with the sale of Norsat, with the

indications that they're looking to normalize

relationships with Iran, and the way that they handle the

Russian question, that they're not being guided by fundamental principles and standing up for what's right,

regardless of the consequences, they really are looking for -

you know, like I said, going along to get along.

And I don't - I think more and more Canadians are realizing that we don't have a principled foreign policy.

Q: Canadians' current sanctions regime - ease it or toughen it?

I think it's important that we send clear signals to Russia and that our sanctions, to have practical effects, that they actually do what they're

looking to do. It was a Conservative caucus that led the fight for the Magnitsky Act and making sure that

officials were able to be held [to] account on a world stage for the actions that they did in Russia.

So those are the types of things that the Conservative Party has always fought to have a robust set of sanctions that are not just

symbolic, that are not just an expression of our opinion, but that actually have an effect and would encourage

the Putin regime to change their path.
