To help you have healthy skin, the best way is to have a healthy diet, with foods such as dark chocolate, carrots, green tea, salmon meat, and so on.

1. Dark chocolate.

Black chocolate has a very high level of flavonoid, an antioxidant, which scientists recommend, to prevent heart attacks.

In a study by researchers at the University of Düsseldorf, volunteers split into two groups, one for hot chocolate, and one for hot chocolate.

Both groups are exposed to ultraviolet light, in the sun.

After 30 minutes, group 1 had less redness and no dryness than group 2.

However, be sure to include at least 60% cocoa in your hot chocolate, not milk and sugar.

2. Carrots and sweet potatoes.

Beta carotene is a reddish orange pigment, found in many fruits, vegetables, including carrots and sweet potatoes.

Beta carotene is proven to help reduce the risk of sunburn.

Like black chocolate, carrots contain flavonoids and vitamin A, which protects your eyes from the sun's rays.

Another study conducted in Germany showed that broccoli and dried apricots also contained high levels of beta carotene.

The scientists recommend eating these foods, to protect your skin from sunburn.

By absorbing the EGCG compound, the body produces histamine, which reduces allergic reactions.

Salmon.

Scientists at the University of Manchester in England have discovered that omega-3 helps keep skin from being burned by ultraviolet rays, while supporting the immune system when the sun is shining.

Salmon also contains antioxidants called astaxanthin, which is 1000 times more effective than vitamin E.

Some other foods are also rich in omega - 3, such as sardines, mackerel, walnuts.

6. Almond.

Almonds contain a large amount of vitamin E, which is resistant to UV rays.

At the same time, vitamins are also good for the heart, and prevent the risk of eye disorders, such as age-related macular degeneration.

In addition, in papaya, sunflower seeds, peanuts, spinach, radishes, bell peppers, asparagus also contains a lot of vitamin E.

7. Strawberries, oranges, kiwi.

These fruits are rich in vitamin C, not only helping the body produce collagen, a necessary protein for skin and bones, to heal and increase the elasticity of the skin.

Dark green vegetables, carrots, oranges, tea, coffee, dark chocolate, rich in antioxidants, beautiful skin.

8. Dark green vegetables.

In addition to vitamin E, many green leafy vegetables contain carotenoids, such as lutein zeaxanthin and flavonoid.

Research on the effect of carotenoids has shown that this nutrient can protect skin from sunburn, especially when combined with vitamin E.

Foods rich in lutein, including kale, spinach, green leafy greens, pumpkin, broccoli, sweet corn.

Positive Living Options for Adults with Special Needs - Duration: 2:51.

Welcome back. As children with disabilities become adults, they

sometimes struggle with a lack of social activities or finding a community. Well,

a prominent foundation decided to do something about that because of a

personal connection by building Stephen's Place. Well, we went to Vancouver to see

how the assisted living facility is changing lives.

Residents at Stephen's Place watch TV together in their downtime, they garden,

and sometimes they just hang out in the common area. It's a life that perhaps

never seemed possible to many of them, until now. My life is like completely

different now because I didn't have friends also with special needs that I can

relate to and I just feel a lot more at home, really happy all the time, lots of

more energy, just really happy to hangout with my friends now. Liz was one of

the first people to move into Stephen's Place in Vancouver, a home for adults

with disabilities. It was built by the Wayne and Joan Kuni Foundation. The

couple had two sons with developmental disabilities.

Stephen passed away, while their other son Michael lives at Stephen's Place.

It's just a great place to live if you want to be independent.

Heather Stenberg is the Executive Director of Stephen's Place, she tells us

parents of children with disabilities often worry about what will happen when

they're too old to care for their kids. Being able to provide housing and

something that also has a life and community and friends and activities

and really encourages people with disabilities to live the life that

everybody else gets to live. The residents are encouraged to have jobs or

volunteer. In fact, the day we were there the group traveled to Meadowbrook Marsh

Park for a cleanup along the trail. Liz says her parents are overjoyed at

everything she's now able to do. They're extremely happy, I mean they know that

I'm safe, in a safe environment here at Stephen's Place. They don't have to worry

about me. They know where I am at all times and they know that I have friends now.

Well, Stephen's Place is private pay so the costs are similar to assisted living. Now,

there are some private donors making sure some residents can live there and

there is room for more. There are 40 apartments total and right now they're

under half capacity. It's a beautiful facility and that garden they have is

amazing. Oh my gosh. Yeah, they have a plant sale that they do every year too

and I guess they sell out right away. Yeah, it seems like such a great place

I'm a little surprised that they would be so far under capacity. Well it is I

mean it does cost insurance isn't taken there because they don't have a doctor on

staff and so it is private pay. There are some donors that are helping some people

out. So, yeah, I think that might be maybe the one area. Alright.

Forget Email! Use Messenger Ads For Medicare Marketing! - Duration: 1:01.

What's up and welcome back to another segment of Bite-size Marketing. Where I

give Medicare agents quick tips and tricks on how to find customers online. Now

today's topic is going be Messenger ads. Now in Facebook, there's a bunch of

different types of ads you can use to find customers. One being messenger ads.

Messenger ads are just like any other advertisement but instead of them

clicking and being sent to a landing page, you're inviting them to chat on the

Facebook Messenger. This creates a conversation between you and the

customer. You can answer questions, they get a better feel for you, and also this

brings them closer to choosing you over your competition. Just make sure to make

yourself available to answer questions. Install the Facebook Messenger app on

your phone so you can get notified immediately.

*Giggles* They said "they like my videos." Respond as quickly as possible. No one likes waiting

six hours to get a reply back. Now that concludes this episode of Bite sized

Marketing. now if you have any questions or like to request a topic. Then feel free to

leave it in the comments below. Again thanks for hanging out. My name is Steve Coney

of Steven Knows Marketing and I help Medicare agents find customers online.
