Think Banning Refugees Is Bad Then You Need to Know How They Were Created - Duration: 8:07.

Think Banning Refugees Is Bad?

Then You Need to Know How They Were Created.

(ANTIMEDIA) On Saturday, Reuters obtained a report conducted by U.N. experts advising

the U.N. Security Council that the U.S.-backed, Saudi-led coalitions attacks in Yemen may

amount to war crimes. The report investigated ten coalition air strikes between March and

October that killed over 292 civilians, including some 100 women and children.

In eight of the 10 investigations, the panel found no evidence that the air strikes

had targeted legitimate military objectives, the experts wrote.

For all 10 investigations, the panel considers it almost certain that the coalition did not

meet international humanitarian law requirements of proportionality and precautions in attackThe

panel considers that some of the attacks may amount to war crimes.

Saudi Arabia is leading a military coalition made up of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE,

Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Sudan.

Out of all of these countries wreaking havoc on Yemen, the poorest country in the Middle

East, only Sudan makes Trumps ban list of refugees.

Yemen, the victim of the onslaught, also makes the list.

Even before the start of the Saudi-led war in March 2015, Yemen was already suffering

a humanitarian crisis, including widespread hunger and poverty.

Over 14 million people are starving, and seven million of them do not know where they will

get their next meal.

To date, the Saudi-led coalition has struck over 100 hospitals, including MSF (Doctors

without Borders)-run hospitals.

The coalition has struck wedding parties; factories; food trucks; funerals; schools;

refugee camps; and residential communities.

According to Martha Mundy, professor emeritus at the London School of Economics, the Saudi

coalition has also been hitting agricultural land.

Noting just 2.8 percent of Yemens land is cultivated, she argued that [t]o hit

that small amount of agricultural land, you have to target it.

Further, she pointed out that the Saudi coalition was and is targeting intentionally food

production, not simply agriculture in the fields. This direct attack on civilian

infrastructure comes in tandem with a blockade imposed by Saudi Arabia that has created a

humanitarian catastrophe of epic proportions.

The coalition has also been caught using banned munitions, including British-made cluster

bombs, meaning that unnecessary losses and excessive suffering have been exacted (another

apparent war crime).

As a result, more than three million Yemeni civilians have been displaced, according to

the U.N.

This is exactly how and why refugee crises happen in the first place unnecessary

war and suffering at the hands of the rich and powerful players on the world stage.

But what does this have to do with the United States?

This is Saudi Arabias problem, not Americas.

Right?

The support the U.S. has given to Saudi Arabia to enable these war crimes is quite extensive.

According to the Saudi Arabian foreign minister, U.S. and U.K. officials sit in the command

and control center to coordinate air strikes on Yemen.

They have access to lists of targets.

The Obama administration provided airborne fuel tankers and thousands of advanced munitions.

In addition to regularly drone-striking Yemen, killing countless civilians in the process,

the U.S. has also provided intelligence to the Saudi-led coalition that has been gathered

from reconnaissance drones flying over Yemen.

In arms sales, the U.S. has made an absolute killing quite literally.

So much so that in December 2016 the Obama administration was forced to halt a planned

arms sale to Saudi Arabia because of the mounting civilian death toll.

It is hard to get an exact figure on the amount of arms sales to Saudi Arabia, but as it stands,

it was well over $115 billion during just Obamas eight years as president .

The Obama administration was also well aware of the inexperience of the Saudi-led coalition

in conducting wartime operations.

As the New York Times reported: The first problem was the ability of Saudi

pilots, who were inexperienced in flying missions over Yemen and fearful of enemy ground fire.

As a result, they flew at high altitudes to avoid the threat below.

But flying high also reduced the accuracy of their bombing and increased civilian casualties,

American officials said.

American advisers suggested how the pilots could safely fly lower, among other tactics.

But the airstrikes still landed on markets, homes, hospitals, factories and ports, and

are responsible for the majority of the 3,000 civilian deaths during the yearlong war, according

to the United Nations. America has played its part in this war.

But what about Iran?

They are allegedly arming the rebels in Yemen to provoke Saudi Arabia, so they should face

some of the blame right?

According to the U.N. experts, this highly perpetuated propaganda is not even remotely

true.

The panel has not seen sufficient evidence to confirm any direct large-scale supply of

arms from the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, although there are indicators that

anti-tank guided weapons being supplied to the Houthi or Saleh forces are of Iranian

manufacture, the experts stated.

Okay, fine.

But that was Obama.

Donald J. Trump clearly has new and improved plans for foreign policy and immigration and

for dealing with refugees across the board.

Correct?

Well, not really.

Barely hours after his inauguration, the military conducted drone strikes in Yemen.

This is in light of the fact that former drone operators wrote an open letter to Barack Obama

claiming the drone program is the single most effective recruitment tool for groups like

ISIS.

Then, on top of these drone strikes, Trump ordered a raid involving Navy SEALs that reportedly

killed at least one eight-year-old girl, as well.

Refugees dont appear out of thin air.

While Trump uses refugees from seven Muslim-majority nations as a scapegoat for the inner turmoil

facing the United States and other Western nations, his policies will only help exacerbate

the refugee crisis, leaving parts of Europe and the wider Middle East to deal with the

fallout.

By all means, close your doors to Yemen but only after you withdraw all your personnel,

equipment, aircraft, and material and financial support for war crimes committed

How is made the Palo Santo incense cones? | Palo Santo Wood - Duration: 1:59.

Elaboration of Palo Santo cones

To make this product we take the Palo Santo tree and run it through a saw until it becomes sawdust

Step 1 : we glu the sawdust with a glue that is extracted from the muyullo fruit. To extract the glue we grind the fruit

Step 2: we make a dough until it gets consistent, us recomendable to use Palo Santo water so de dough doesn't stick

Step 3: put the cones in they table that is divide in 3 sections, each one can fit 150 cones

Step 4: the cones then go to a room for the dry process, we keep them in there for 5 days,

in the room there is a humidifier that helps to dry the dough, we also use eucalyptus for the dry process

Step 5: finally it goes to the packing process with packs of 10 on each bag and then to the market,

they are use for aromatherapy and mosquitos repellents

New documentary suggests Atlantis WAS real and large ships docked there in the Bronze Age - Duration: 4:35.

New documentary suggests Atlantis WAS real and large ships docked there in the Bronze

Age.

Atlantis is probably considered as one of the most fascinating mythical city/continents

on Earth, and a new documentarycalled Atlantis Rising and produced by director James Cameronsuggests

that the Lost city/continent of Atlantis was REAL and that LARGE ships even docked there

in the Bronze Age.

The anchor is said to measure 83cm across and has a hole in its center, which according

to experts could be evidence of docks or breakwaters at the dive site.

Richard Freund of the University of Hartford, said in a clip: Its a really amazing

find. This anchor you can get very excited about. This is a 3,000, 4,000-year old anchor

that is massive for a very large boat, which shows us that ancient large boats were sailing

into this area 4,000 years ago.

The lost city continent of Atlantis has been the topic of debate for over 2,500 years among

philosophers, historians, and archaeologists; it was described as a powerful and highly

advanced kingdom that sank in one day and one night, never to be seen or heard from

again, somewhere around 9600 B.C. according to Plato.

Through violent earthquakes and floods, in a single day and night of misfortune [the

whole race] was swallowed up by the Earth and the island of Atlantis disappeared

into the depths of the sea. Plato.

Greek Philosopher Plato tells us that Atlantis was protected by the god Poseidon who made

his son Atlas king of this mythical land. The Atlanteans grew powerful but suffered

ethically; their great armies were able to conquer Africa as far as Egypt and Europe

going as far as Italy. According to one theory, it was by divine punishment that the continent-island

sank; in one day and one night.

According to Atlantis Rising, the discovery of massive stone anchors located in

the Strait of Gibraltar suggests that the powerful ancient civilization described by

Plato may have in fact existed.

The new series produced by the national Geographic charts an epic quest for the lost empire;

from the Santorini to the Azores, searching and comparing theories based on literature

and archaeological discoveries about the lost civilization.

The history behind Atlantis

If we search through ancient literature and folklore we will discover that the first writings

about Atlantis come from the famous book Dialogues written by the Greek philosopher Plato in

the fourth century BC.

Plato tells us that the stories of Atlantis were passed to him by his grandfather, who

had heard the story about ancient Atlantis from an Athenian statesman called Solon who

in turn learned about the existence of Atlantis from an Egyptian priest who claimed that Atlantis

existed nine thousand years ago before that.

According to geographical descriptions, the land of Atlantis was divided into concentric

zones of land and water. Two zones of land and three zones of water surrounded the central

island, which had warm springs of water and cold springs of water.

The documentary produced by Titanic director James Camerondraw on Platos texts in

a bid to reveal the lost citys location.

The program explores a number of locations hoping to unlock and reveal the mystery of

Atlantis.

Filmmaker Simcha Jacobovici told IBTimes UK: We went back to this source and used the

way he describes Atlantis as a treasure map, comparing the citys features with existing

places.

For the elaboration of the Palo santo sticks we use the thicker part of the tree

Step 1: we peel the sticks with a machete with length of 10 centimeters and 1 centimeter wide

Step 2: we put them in sacks

Step 3: the sticks go through a quality control process and the bad ones are disposed

Step 4: the product goes into a lab for the distillery process, we leaving them in there for 3 days at a hot temperature

Step 5: the product goes into sterilizing process, we put them in water at 100 degrees for 30 minutes

Step 6: once the sterilizing process is done they get packed by kilos into bags

Step 7: the packages are sent to the warehouse to be pack in boxes then for sale

there is also packs of 20 sticks to sell to the public

Sea Talk - ROV's - Duration: 1:01.

This is Sea Talk: Ocean News from the University of Delaware.

Much of the world's ocean is largely unexplored.

However a wide range of robotic tools have been helping to change that.

One such tool is remotely operated vehicles, or ROVs.

An ROV is an underwater robot that is controlled by scientists through a long cable that tethers

it securely to a research vessel.

ROVs can reach great depths and stay there for extended periods, allowing researchers

to safely and efficiently explore many regions of the ocean.

Most are equipped with lights and high definition cameras to capture footage of their surroundings,

and many also carry other equipment such as manipulator arms and scientific instruments

to collect and measure specimens and samples.

This is Sea Talk, a public service announcement from the University of Delaware,

What to do when someone is having a seizure - First Aid Training - St John Ambulance - Duration: 2:59.

A seizure, also known as convulsion or

fit can be caused by disruption to the

electrical activity in the brain, which

may lead to uncontrollable contractions

in muscles and unresponsiveness.

If a seizure occurs the most common causes is epilepsy

but it can be caused by other things

such as alcohol poisoning, a lack of

oxygen, after a head injury, after taking

certain drugs, or if someone with

diabetes having a hypo where the blood

glucose is too low.

When someone is having a seizure you may

find they have a sudden loss of

responsiveness, rigid body with arching

back, noisy and difficult breathing,

convulsive, jerky uncontrolled movements.

Saliva at the mouth which could be

blood-stained if they've bitten their tongue

or cheek. Possible loss of bladder or bowel

control. Afterwards they may be confused,

tired and fall into a deep sleep

If you suspect someone is having a seizure

it's important to protect them from

harming themselves during the fit.

Clear away any potential dangerous objects

like hot drinks or sharp objects.

Don't restrain or move them make a note of the

time when seizures started and how long

it lasts. Protect their head by placing

something soft underneath or around it,

like a towel and loosen any clothing

around their neck.

Once the seizure has stopped, open airway and check their

breathing. If they're breathing, put them

into the recovery position

If they stop breathing at any point,

prepare to treat someone who is

unresponsive and not breathing

monitoring the level of response.

Call 999 or 112 for emergency help if:

it's the person's first seizure, the cause is

unknown,

they're having repeated seizures,

their seizure lasts more than five minutes

they are unresponsive for more than 10 minutes,

or they've sustained an injury.

So remember, protect but don't restrain them

Call 999 or 112.

And that's how you help someone who's having

a seizure.

NEW INFORMATION HAS SOME EXPERTS WONDERING IF 'HUMAN ANCESTORS' WERE NEARLY ALL VEGETARIANS - Duration: 16:11.

NEW INFORMATION HAS SOME EXPERTS WONDERING IF

HUMAN ANCESTORS WERE NEARLY ALL VEGETARIANS

by ARJUN WALIA

*The title of this article was inspired by a guest post written for Scientific American

If youre considering a vegan/vegetarian diet, modern day science is showing that it

is completely natural, and that our bodies our totally capable of sustaining one.

In fact, a lot of evidence is showing that a vegan/vegetarian diet (if done correctly)

can have a tremendous amount of health benefits.

Studies are confirming the health benefits of meat-free eating.

Nowadays, plant-based eating is recognized as not only nutritionally sufficient but also

as a way to reduce the risk for many chronic illnesses. Harvard Medical School (source)

You can find out more information about that (to start you off on your research) here.

Whether you subscribe to the theory of evolution, or creationism, a bit of both, or anything

else it, is irrelevant to this article.

This article does not go into these complexities as that is an entirely different subject,

with lots of information, examination and factors to consider.

There is still much we dont understand and, the connection between humans and what

we refer to as our ancestors isnt solid enough to regard it as truth.

Evolution is real, and can be seen throughout nature, but the human connection to it is

still a mystery.

advertisement - learn more Its no secret that human beings do not

require meat to survive and live a healthy lifestyle.

In fact, large amounts of research now suggests that a vegetarian diet is actually a healthier

option as opposed to eating meat, or what is commonly referred to as the Paleo Diet.

(source)(source)(source) Whether you believe this or not, you do not need meat to live

a healthy lifestyle and get all of the nutrients you need.

The general gist of the Paleo Diet, also known as the caveman diet, the Stone Age

diet or the hunter-Gatherer diet is based on the idea that if our ancestors

who lived in the Palaeolithic era -a period lasting approximately 2.5 million years that

ended about 10,000 years ago -ate it, then we should be doing the same.

What advocates of this diet -and those who often point towards our ancestors as justification

for eating meat -fail to realize is that scientists and researchers have not been able to pinpoint

with one hundred percent certainty what our ancestors really ate, and how often they ate

it.

The belief that our ancestors exclusively consumed meat is completely false, and a great

example of how many can believe a theory, or have a belief system and accept it as absolute

fact when there is evidence to the contrary.

The majority of the food eaten by primates is plant-based, not animal, and there is research

suggesting that its been that way for a long time.

Our ancestors were clearly not the meat-eating caveman that they are so often portrayed to

be, and even if they did eat meat, that doesnt mean that we are genetically wired to do the

same:

GET THE BEST Its difficult to comment on the best

diet for modern humans because there have been and are so many different yet successful

diets in our species.

Because some hunter-getherer society obtained most of their dietary energy from wild animal

fat and protein does not imply that this is the ideal diet for modern humans, nor does

it imply that modern humans have genetic adaptations to such diets. Katherine Milton, anthropologist

at the University of California, Berkeley (source)

Today, there are a number of papers thatve been published -in peer-reviewed scientific

journals -that have analyzed the diets of a variety of ancient hominin species by looking

at their fossilized teeth.

These findings have shown that human ancestors ate far more plant material than what was

previously suspected.

One study, for example, analyzed the diet of Neanderthals (who are closely related to

human beings), a species that disappeared sometime between 20,000 and 24,000 years ago.

Up until a few years ago it was believed that their diet consisted predominantly of meat,

but this all changed when a large amount (and growing) body of evidence emerged suggesting

that their diet also included a variety of plants.

The researchers also offered evidence that these plants were also used for medicinal

purposes.

(source)

Another team of researchers published a study in the American Journal of Physical Anthropology

which stated:

We are suggesting that animal proteins would be less important overall and thats

particularly true for interpretations of Neolithic farmers.

What that would mean is that they are having more of a balance of animal and plant protein

in their diet, suggestive of a mixed existence strategy. (source)

A Scientific American Blog Post

An article by Rob Dunn written for Scientific American by titled Human Ancestors Were

Nearly All Vegetarians, goes into great detail about this issue, from an evolutionary

perspective, brining up multiple details and points about how our guts might be evolved

to stick to a vegetarian diet, with perhaps the occasional piece of meat here and there

as a rare treat.

So what do other living primates eat, the ones with guts mostly like ours, eat?

The diets of nearly all monkeys and apes (except the leaf-eaters) are composed of fruits, nuts,

leaves, insects, and sometimes the odd snack of a bird or a lizard (see more about chimpanzees).

Most primates have the capacity for eating sugary fruit, the capacity for eating leaves

and the capacity for eating meat.

But meat is a rare treat, if eaten at all.

Sure, chimpanzees sometimes kill and devour a baby monkey, but the proportion of the diet

of the average chimpanzee composed of meat is small.

And chimps eat more mammal meat than any of the other apes or any of the monkeys.

The majority of the food consumed by primates todayand every indication is for the last

thirty million yearsis vegetable, not animal.

Plants are what our apey and even earlier ancestors ate; they were our paleo diet for

most of the last thirty million years during which our bodies, and our guts in particular,

were evolving.

In other words, there is very little evidence that our guts are terribly special and the

job of a generalist primate gut is primarily to eat pieces of plants.

We have special immune systems, special brains, even special hands, but our guts are ordinary

and for tens of millions of years those ordinary guts have tended to be filled with fruit,

leaves, and the occasional delicacy of a raw hummingbird. (source)

He also goes on to show evidence for the fact that our bodies might not have really been

designed to eat meat, but rather evolved and developed in order to eat and digest meat.

Its kind of like Milk, and why most of the world is lactose intolerant.

Every other species weans and then never drinks milk again for the rest of their lives, and

because of that they dont have an enzyme to break down the sugar in milk.

But during human evolution, some humans experienced a mutation in the LTC gene, the lactase gene,

these mutations allow us to process lactose as adults.

With approximately 65- 75 percent percent of humans on the planet unable to properly

process it, it is evidence enough that we are not doing what is natural and in accordance

with our bodies.

You can read more about this in detail HERE.

A Very Brief Dietary History of Human Ancestors & Relatives

For a long time, primates stuck by the old restaurants leaves and fruits and

by 3.5 million years ago, they started exploring new diet possibilities tropical grasses

and sedges that grazing animals discovered a long time before, about 10 million years

ago University of Utah geochemist Thure Cerling (source)

Since Cerling has published some of the most recent work in this field, I thought it would

be a good idea to go with his very brief historical account of the history of our ancestral diet:

Previous research showed that 4.4 million years ago in Ethiopia, early human relative

Ardipithecus ramidus (Ardi) ate mostly C3 leaves and fruits.

About 4.2 million to 4 million years ago on the Kenyan side of the Turkana Basin, one

of Cerlings new studies shows that human ancestor Australopithecus anamensis ate at

least 90 percent leaves and fruits the same diet as modern chimps.

By 3.4 million years ago in northeast Ethiopias Awash Basin, according to Wynns

study, Australopithecus afarensis were eating significant amounts of C4 grasses and sedges:

22 percent on average, but with a wide range among individuals of anywhere from 0 percent

to 69 percent grasses and sedges.

The species also ate some succulent plants.

Wynn says that switch documents a transformational stage in our ecological history. Many scientists

previously believed A. afarensis had an ape-like C3 diet.

It remains a mystery why A. afarensis expanded its menu to C4 grasses when its likely ancestor,

A. anamensis, did not, although both inhabited savanna habitats.

3.4 million years ago in Turkana, human relative Kenyanthropus platyops had switched

to a highly varied diet of both C3 trees and shrubs, and C4 grasses and sedges.

The average was 40 percent grasses and sedges, but individuals varied widely, eating anywhere

from 5 percent to 65 percent.

About 2.7 million to 2.1 million years ago in southern Africa, hominins Australopithecus

africanus and Paranthropus robustus ate tree and shrub foods, but also ate grasses and

sedges and perhaps grazing animals.

A africanus averaged 50 percent C4 grass-sedge-based foods, but individuals ranged from 0 to 80

percent.

P. robustus averaged 30 percent grasses-sedges, but ranged from 20 percent to 50 percent.

By 2 million to 1.7 million years ago in Turkana, early humans, Homo, ate a 35 percent

grass-and-sedge diet some possibly from meat of grazing animals while another hominin,

Paranthropus boisei, was eating 75 percent grass more than any hominin, according

to a 2011 study by Cerling.

Paranthropus likely was vegetarian.

Homo had a mixed diet that likely included meat or insects that had eaten grasses.

A drier climate may have made Homo and Paranthropus more reliant on C4 grasses.

By 1.4 million years ago in Turkana, Homo had increased the proportion of grass-based

food to 55 percent.

Some 10,000 years ago in Turkana, Homo sapiens teeth reveal a diet split 50-50

between C3 trees and shrubs and C4 plants and likely meat almost identical to the

ratio in modern North Americans.

Modern Day Food Industry

Again, its clear when we examine the diet of those who roamed the Earth before us, that

a large portion of their diet was vegetarian, and as outlined, possibly one hundred percent

vegetarian for some individuals.

One thing is for certain, it was not all predominately meat.

So ask yourself, when did the notion of the cave man diet become such a backbone

for people to use as justification for eating meat?

Why do so many people believe that our ancestors ate so much meat, and that its all they

ate?

The average North American diet today is one that involves ingesting what seems to be abnormal

amounts of meat, on a daily basis.

Even if our ancestors did consume meat, they did not consume it on a daily basis.

In fact, there is evidence suggesting that those who lived in the hunter gatherer

period went very long periods without eating at all.

This as pointed out by Mark Mattson, a professor of neuroscience at John Hopkins

University is precisely why our bodies have evolved to go long periods of time without

food, and why intermittent fasting is now a healthy practice with a tremendous amounts

of health benefits.

(source) You can read more about fasting here.

As for the modern day meat industry, billions of animals are killed every year for food

consumption alone.

They are being raised to be slaughtered, injected with various chemicals, mistreated and more.

They are also roaming in pesticides and fed GMO feed (which studies have shown to be detrimental

to human and animal health, something weve written about in depth and provided evidence

for on our website).

Our modern day food industry is one that is full of harmful substances, chemicals and

other artificial ingredients that are making many wonder how we can even call it food

anymore.

We still have a long way to go and lots of work to do if we want to become a healthy

species again, something we are far from achieving.
