Waching daily Dec 13 2017

hey guys what's up and welcome back to another episode of live games wild where

today we're gonna talk about winter crash so winter crash has been released

again for modern warfare remastered the winter themed map and we're gonna take a

quick look here at what they've done to the map for those of you haven't who

have not seen it and kind of compare it to the world war two map they've

released winter keratin I think they've done much better job on this game so as

you can see we've got radios distributed around the map that play Christmas music

we've got lights everywhere snowmen just about everything so let's take a look

here there's a lot of detail guys we could spend a lot of time on this but

we're gonna try to make this quick it's snowflakes everywhere everything is

decorated for Christmas here the jingle bells got our little little Easter Egg

here that's actually in winter keratin as well but very minor changes to winter

keratin in my opinion I was extremely disappointed with the way it turned out

I was excited for World War two's Christmas themed map and was fairly

disappointed it like I believe a lot of us were so let's take a look here at the

difference number one let's go ahead and call in at this helicopter take a look

at the Christmas themed helicopter absolutely very cool this is just a

beautiful map guys so as you can see the helicopter is all decked out in lights

we've got Christmas trees we've got gifts everywhere and candy

canes Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer over here Santa Claus all over the place

absolutely beautiful map

pictures everywhere then we've got the ak-47 covered up with candy canes candy

cane and Christmas themed graffiti on the walls I mean just look at this so

what do you guys think do you think no world war two did a better job or modern

warfare he mastered I think hands down it's modern warfare II master did a much

better job with the Christmas theme or a holiday themed map I mean just look the

lights they've added it's just absolutely amazing

when you kill the enemies they burst into gifts when you throw a grenade

their grenades burst into gifts so even in the car shop here Santa Claus the

sleigh is is up in the air instead of the car I mean just so many so many

changes so let's just take a quick look I could

we've got Santa calls we've got Santa Claus drop as the air strike instead of

the instead of the airplane we've got Santa calls dropping gifts instead of

bombs such a cool touch another sleigh here gifts everywhere as you can see the

telephone poles are all decked out with lights and candy canes and lights

everywhere absolutely beautiful map even the communist propaganda has is holding

candy canes instead now I mean just something that we got leaves everywhere

all of the all of the sandbags have been replaced with the sandbags are gonna

replace with gifts we've got gifts on all the shelves brewed off here such a

cool nap guys we've even gotten Rudolph an actual Rudolph head Hickory which is

pretty cool so let me know in the comments section what you guys think who

you think did a better job with the winter themed map

I think it's not even a competition I could spend a lot of time here showing

you the attention to detail but we're gonna try to wrap this up and make this

quick a few more things I wanted to show you

here you know we've got snowmen and candy canes and Reed's everywhere we've

got gifts in the trash cans such a cool map the rocket is even a Christmas

themed rocket Christmas lights every week we have the icicle styled lights

here icicles all over the place on the sides of the buildings I mean it's just

absolutely absolutely beautiful even this room here another we've got another

radio here this does give you a copyright strike but we're not doing

this video for the money I just want to show you the difference in the two maps

the world war two map is opposed to this map here you know we've got all of the

the items on the shelves have been turned into little toys

even a little model of the helicopter really cool touch little snowmen in here

such a cool map so let's take a look one more thing guys and I'll let you guys

get back to what it was you're doing before you clicked on the video but let

me know in the comment section what you thought what you think of this map and

what you think of the world war 2 map and how they compare we've got a igloo

over here guys I could literally go on forever showing you the the different

things they've added to this map we've got the we've got the tower in the

background all lit up with the star flashing just amazing map so anyways we

won't spend too much more time here with that said leave me a comment let me know

what you think hit and drop a like on the video and with that being said we

will see you next time right here right here at live games wild thanks a lot

guys I really appreciate you

Is Oumuamua Artificial? 1I/2017 U1 Update for 12/12/17 - Duration: 7:17.

This is an update in my continuing coverage of the increasingly mysterious object 1I/2017

U1, or Oumuamua, the first observed interstellar object to pass through our solar system.

For the backstory, check out my other videos on this channel on the subject, links in the

description below and in the end screen.

This story has gone into very different territory since my last update as more information has

come out regarding the object.

Very creepy and interesting territory in fact, it's like the early days of KIC 8462852

all over again.

There is a possibility now being seriously discussed, albeit a very small possibility,

that Oumuamua could be artificial in nature.

I stress small, this is overwhelmingly likely to be an asteroid, but the chances are not

zero prompting Breakthrough Listen to point the Green Bank radio telescope towards the

object just in case it's emitting something.

The reason for this attention is the more we look at Oumuamua, the weirder it seems

to get.

The first thing that we know is that Oumuamua is very likely to be an interstellar traveler.

It came into the solar system fast and it's leaving it fast and it seems clear at this

point that the object is not gravitationally bound to the sun and indeed originated in

another star system.

We've suspected for decades that such things existed.

Solar systems eject material routinely and we expected we would some day detect something

passing through.

In fact, it's probably something that happens very commonly and now that we can detect these

objects, we'll hear of such things regularly from here on out.

Trouble is, we thought we knew what such a thing would look like once we saw it.

This was not the case.

We thought the most likely thing we would see is a passing comet.

It's more likely that cold comets from an outer solar system would get ejected more

often than things like planets and asteroids from inner solar systems, though that's

also easily possible.

But several studies have shown that Oumuamua is not a comet and therefore would have to

be an asteroid.

Those are likely going to be a bit scarcer once we really start discovering and studying

interstellar visitors, but not impossible by any means.

Trouble is, we've seen a lot of asteroids but we've never seen an asteroid like this,

it is unlike any known object in our solar system.

The object seems bizarrely elongated, at least as we understand it right now.

It's essentially thought to be rod shaped, possibly 10 to 1 longer than it is wide, and

there is some thinking that if you wanted to create an interstellar spacecraft this

would be the best shape in order to minimize erosion from dust in the interstellar medium.

More, nature doesn't really like to create these kinds of shapes, instead things tend

to erode and round out and asteroids in general tend to be more like conglomerated loose rock

piles than completely solid objects.

Neither seems to apply to this object, but I caution, new data comes out about this object

frequently, and we don't yet have a complete picture here.

As it stands, Oumuamua has to be pretty solid.

It's thought to be tumbling wildly, basically out of control.

That's not good for a spacecraft unless you're looking to produce artificial gravity,

but this spin doesn't appear to be going fast enough to produce much in the way of

that.

So, barring that, propulsion system failure would rise to the top as the reason.

And, natural objects tumbling is weird in itself, things tumbling in space tend to settle

down to rotate more simply over time.

Something has to start it tumbling, getting ejected from a solar system might do that,

but while tumbling can last for a long time, especially if the object is rigid, this object

appears to have been travelling through deep space for a very long time.

Perhaps something sent it tumbling after it left its system of origin.

But there's also nothing that suggests it is, or ever was, under any kind of control.

The sun's gravity altered its path in a way that appears fully consistent with nature.

But this tumbling would mean it has a pretty solid composition unlike most asteroids.

In other words a solid, or nearly solid, rock or metal composition.

Again, this is unusual, but not impossible, we know from meteorites that both solid rock

and metal are abundant in space and there is an entire class of very sturdy meteorites

that are made up of metallic nickel iron so pure you can polish them like steel.

So this doesn't immediately mean too much, but asteroids are usually not like this.

And it has to be said that things can also artificially be made to be sturdy.

On the asteroid front, the closest thing we have to Oumuamua in the solar system is the

asteroid Kleopatra which is barbell shaped due to it being made up of two objects touching,

that could be the case for Oumuamua as well.

The problem is that Kleopatra is not spinning wildly enough to fly apart, it's very fragile

and a typically loose conglomeration of material like most asteroids.

Oumuamua is spinning to fast to hold together like a normal asteroid, ending all similarity.

So the bottom line here is that while it's overwhelmingly likely that Oumuamua is an

unusually solid asteroid, it's one that's creating more questions than answers at the

moment.

But there are plenty of other things that point to this object being fully natural,

such as its color, which is consistent with an asteroid that's travelled through deep

space for a long period of time.

There are also no other measurements that suggest that it's anything but natural.

But there is a tiny chance that it might be more, so it's prudent for Breakthrough Listen

to take a look just in case while we have the time.

Oumuamua is well on its way out of the solar system.

But I wouldn't expect much in the way of results, if it's an asteroid, it will be

silent.

If it's a derelict spacecraft spinning out of control, whatever happened probably took

down the transmitters, though maybe not.

In short, while I think this is an asteroid, I'm really enjoying that the first interstellar

object we've identified has turned out to be so mysterious and incredibly weird.

So in that spirit, I will leave you with one final oddity about this visitor.

When it passed through the inner solar system, it came in from above and swung past the sun,

which then gravitationally perturbed Oumuamua such that passed only about 60 times the distance

to the moon from us.

That it passed so closely to an inhabited planet is an eyebrow raiser for sure, though

again it's likely just due to chance, and if it wanted to study earth it probably would

have come even closer.

But maybe it's not that simple.

If studying earth itself was not the objective, rather just seeing if there was life or a

civilization here, Oumuamua passed well close enough to answer that question.

And say it is a damaged spacecraft, it may have intended to come closer but couldn't,

or didn't in order to ensure that it wouldn't hit earth.

I would find that encouraging, it would mean the alien's stuff breaks down too and they

conscientiously made a point of not smacking into us with their derelict.

Thanks for listening!

I am futurist and science fiction author John Michael Godier currently shamelessly plugging

a book!

I know, I'm always doing that but this time it's someone else's!

To fire your imagination about the possibilities of Oumuamua, read Arthur C. Clarke's very

relevant book "Rendezvous with Rama", it's one of my favorites and a fun read

under the circumstances.

It can be found at your favorite online book retailer and be sure to subscribe to my channel

for regular, in-depth explorations into the interesting, weird and unknown aspects of

this amazing universe in which we live.

Laura Dern Is Having the Best Time Ever at Star Wars: The Last Jedi's European Premiere - Duration: 2:32.

Laura Dern Is Having the Best Time Ever at Star Wars: The Last Jedi's European Premiere

Laura Dern has had a long and illustrious career in Hollywood dating all the way back to 1973, but 2017 may have been the actress best and biggest year yet—so it should come as no surprise that the recent Emmy winner is having the time of her life at the European premiere of her new film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The indie queen-turned-household name, who takes on the role of the purple-haired Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo in the new Star Wars film, hopped social media to document her out-of-this-world night of fun on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old strutted her stuff in her feathery frock by Alexander McQueen, stormed the red carpet with some storm troopers and posed with pals Daisy Ridley and John Boyega All in a days work for the Big Little Lies actress!.

Before the premiere, Dern, who is the daughter of celeb parents Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern, struck a pose in her elaborate frock, writing, Quick change for the European Premiere! Here we go! #thelastjedi @alexandermcqueen @louboutinworld.

The 510 actress made sure to take a pic with Game of Thrones Gwendoline Christie, who stands at an impressive 63.

Along with the photo of the statuesque women, Dern wrote, The DIVINE Captain Phasma #gwendolinechristie #thelastjedi. In the big-budget film, Dern, who has lit up the screen for decades as a muse for eccentric director David Lynch, plays the Resistance leader tasked to get things on track against the First Order. .

Posing with the films stars Boyega and Ridley, Dern captioned another image, Love them!!!! @johnboyega #daisyridley #thelastjedi.

The actress also made sure to take a pic with Disneys top man, Alan Horn, the chairman of Walt Disney Studios, while at the star-studded event which was held at the Royal Albert Hall.

Dern, who has been nominated for two Academy Awards, recently talked to the Huffington Post about joining the Star Wars galaxy.

She explained that she had a feeling something big was going to happen when the films director Rian Johnson and producer Kathleen Kennedy called her up separately.

Rian Johnson called to ask me to lunch and talk about something, Dern explained, and then Kathleen Kennedy also called and I knew something was up. During the lunch meeting, Johnson said told the actress that he was looking to explore the complexity of light and dark.

It is like what independent filmmakers that I have worked with love to explore.that's what George Lucas invented. That's why it [Star Wars] stands the test of time. It's not a franchise. It's a legacy of the deepest story telling we have..

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on Dec.

Roger Federer is perfect, no other tennis player comes close - Alexander Zverev - Duration: 2:31.

Roger Federer is perfect, no other tennis player comes close - Alexander Zverev

GETTY.

That's the view of current tennis world No4 Alexander Zverev. The German is a big fan of tennis veteran Roger Federer, having idolised him growing up. "Theres no one perfect in tennis," Zverev said. "Except maybe when we talk about Roger.

You could say hes perfect." Federer won two Grand Slams this year with Rafael Nadal winning the other two to ensure he finished ahead of the Swiss in the world rankings for 2017.

Theres no one perfect in tennis. Except maybe when we talk about Roger. You could say hes perfect.

Zverev has enjoyed his own success on the court this season, winning Masters series events in Rome and Toronto, and rising to number four in the standings following a successful 2017 season.

The 20-year-old is still yet to beat a top-50 player in the Majors but achieved his best result at Wimbledon, reaching the fourth round back in June.

On his goals for 2018, Zverev said: "I'm the world No4, therefore I hope to do better at the Slams this year."  .

Zverev previously revealed Federer was his idol in August when he beat the Swiss legend to win the Rogers Cup.

"This one against Roger is something so special for me because he was always a great idol growing up for me," he said.  "The greatest player of all time, beating him in a final, not just any final but in the final of a Masters 1000, is amazing.".
