Waching daily Dec 13 2017

The American dream is a house,

a car,

and

money.

(upbeat music)

Moolah, cash, dollars, dough.

No matter what you call it,

how you make it or how you feel about it,

one in three Americans thinks more about money

than any other topic on a given day.

The word "money," I associate with greed.

And capitalism.

Being broke, it's just not in my DNA.

Money makes me feel secure and insecure.

We work our whole lives for a piece of paper.

Having money's not everything, not having it is.

Money makes me happy, definitely.

(intense music)

Although only 8% of the world's currency

is actual physical money,

nothing is quite as seductive as cold, hard cash.

How money is made and created is an enigma.

I haven't figured that out.

But I've wondered about it.

(coin clanking)

Paper money was first issued

by the US government in 1861,

as a way to pay for goods and services,

related to Civil War costs.

Though final currency designs are ultimately approved

by the Secretary of the Treasury,

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing

is responsible for dreaming up the designs,

manufactured elements, and printing

of American paper money.

(cash register dings)

Designing a new note can take

several years and multiple hands.

Note designs always include imagery

that upholds the strength of the American economy

and incorporates the latest

in anti-counterfeiting elements.

They also feature a portrait

of an important historical figure on the front,

like this guy, Andrew Jackson,

with a notable American monument

or theme on the back.

Who's on the $100 bill, Drew?

I can't think, I can't think.

Who's on it?

(groans)

It's Andrew Jackson, I think.

Probably Ben Franklin.

Isn't it Ben Franklin?

That's what rap music teaches me, I think.

My boy, Benjamin Franklin, is in the $100 bill.

It's all about the Benjamins.

(cash register dings)

After a design is locked, an engraver,

who must train for 12 to 15 years,

recreates the designers drawings in steel by hand.

The engraving is actually done backwards

so that faces and words are legible once printed.

Through a process called siderography,

individual engraved elements are combined

to form a complete face or back of a banknote.

Each small detail plays a huge part

in making the design not only beautiful,

but also virtually impossible to copy.

On the back of the $1 note is The Great Seal.

Its imagery alludes to the 13 original colonies,

including 13 stars above the eagle

and 13 steps on the pyramid.

(cash register dings)

Once the master plate is completed,

it's washed with deionized water

and soaked in a vibrant orange potassium

bichromate solution that prevents

the plate from rusting.

Then the plate is placed into a tank,

filled with a nickel salt solution for about 22 hours.

During this time, an electrical current

causes an identical nickel plate

to grow on top of the plastic master.

Science is crazy, right?

This exact replica is then meticulously inspected

by engravers for accuracy.

If there are any mistakes,

the entire process has to start over.

The final printing plates are then coated

with a thin layer of chrome.

And are one tenth as thick as an average human hair.

(upbeat music)

(cash register dings)

Contrary to popular belief,

money isn't actually made from paper

but printed on a material made

from 75% cotton and 25% linen.

The special inks used for money

have trackable magnetic and color shifting properties.

Green was originally selected for US dollars

as a deterrent for counterfeiters.

Psychologically, it's also a color

associated with stability and growth.

(cash register dings)

(slow, hiphop music)

After the 72 hour drying process,

the freshly printed currency

passes through a series of rigorous physical

and mechanical inspections

using state of the art computer and camera technology.

(cash register dings)

Then, the currency sheets are cut,

packaged, and transferred to The Federal Reserve,

who distributes the money to banks around the country.

The Federal Reserve estimates

that there are currently over

40 billion US notes in circulation

with a value of 1.5 trillion.

As these dollars are increasingly

being earned by women,

one question still lingers:

why aren't there more women on money?

Oh my god. This is such a complicated answer.

I think it is part of this American culture.

They put woman a little bit, you know, behind.

They could've had plenty of women on—

that were worth enough—to get on the bill.

But, you know, it's a white man's game.

This world is

a patriarchal society.

And that needs to change.

Though Martha Washington

made a guest appearance

on the $1 silver certificate,

designs are currently in the works

to feature more women on paper currency.

Already slated for completion,

are Harriet Tubman to be on the front of the $20 bill

and Marian Anderson and Eleanor Roosevelt

on the back of the $5 bill.

These changes will begin rolling out in 2020,

the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment,

which gave women the right to vote.

We think it's about time, don't you?

BREAKING NEWS About STOLEN Alabama Senate Race – This Is BAD - Duration: 6:37.

BREAKING NEWS About STOLEN Alabama Senate Race – This Is BAD

If there's one thing we learned about the presidential election last year, it's that

liberals will do whatever it takes to win.

We constantly heard incidents of voter fraud taking place, where Hillary's minions were

voting multiple times, and buses of people were being be transported into key swing state

counties in order to throw the vote.

Last night Doug Jones defeated Republican Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate race, where

liberals are disgustingly throwing the win back in our faces this morning, calling the

victory a "stinging snub" to President Trump.

But unfortunately for liberals, Jones' win is being immediately overshadowed by the shady

tactics the used to "win," after several disturbing reports are surfacing about what

was really going on at the polls last night.

1.

Fake Narrative About "Voter Suppression"

It was widely predicted that blacks in Alabama would determine the outcome of the race.

When the liberal media began to realize that it would be an incredibly tight race, where

we saw Moore and Jones separated by less than 1% for several hours, liberals immediately

began to push the false narrative that blacks were being blocked from the polling places.

One of the trending stories was from fake liberal website "Verified Politics" was

a viral story called "Something Incredibly Shady Is Happening In Alabama Right Now"

where they made the ridiculous claim that blacks were being prevented from voting. In

the article, the website asserted that "white supremacy" was preventing black citizens

from being able to take to the polls, that no doubt got the black populace fired up just

in time to go cast their votes for Jones before the race ended.

Here's a short excerpt of their ridiculous story, where they claimed that "white supremacists"

were requiring "poor blacks" from being able to vote because they were required to

show an ID.

"Alabama has a long history of suppressing the votes dating back at least to 1901 when

the state passed a new constitution whose main purpose was to deny African Americans

the right to vote," they whined.

"In 2011, the Republican-controlled state legislature passed a law that all voters must

have a photo ID, which immediately disenfranchised many rural and poor Blacks."

2.

Liberals' ARMY Of Felons

Liberals frequently use the backing of criminals to bolster their agenda which is why they

fight so hard to keep Muslim immigrants and Mexican illegals in our country.

The Alabama Senate race was no different, as Breitbart exposed how George Soros and

infamous race-baiter Al Sharpton had their grubby talons all over this race right from

the beginning, where the duo registered an "army" of convicted felons across Alabama

to help bolster support for Jones.

"An organization partnered with a George Soros-financed group and led by a radical

leftist who is the half-brother of the infamous controversial Rev. Al Sharpton has been diligently

working over the past few weeks to register convicted felons across Alabama," Breitbart

began.

They went on:

"The aim of the effort has been to get as many felons as possible on the roster before

last Monday, the deadline to register in order to vote in Alabama's Dec. 12 senate special

election that pits Republican Roy Moore against Democratic challenger Doug Jones.

The man spearheading the campaign has stated outright that his effort is meant to ensure

a Democratic victory in Alabama."

"The thousands of felons reportedly newly registered over the past few weeks were most

likely not included in any recent polling on the Alabama senate race put out by major

firms."

"Jones himself is tied to some of the specific organizations associated with the drive to

register felons here.

Indeed, as Breitbart News first reported, Jones spearheaded a project for a massively

Soros-financed legal activist group demanding full voting rights be given to felons released

from prison, including those convicted of murder, rape and other violent crimes."

3.

Dark Money From Very Questionable Sources

Whenever you smell a rat, chances are George Soros is somewhere nearby lurking about.

The infamous evil billionaire, who turned his own neighbors into the Nazis in the 1940's,

is constantly gunning for the destruction of America, where he's a huge donor of crooked

politicians like Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and RINO Republicans like John McCain.

So it should come as no surprise that Soros yet again was a the helm causing chaos and

trying to throw the election in Alabama.

Via Breitbart:

"Politico reported on Monday that the George Soros-funded Priorities USA Action and Sen.

Chuck Schumer's (D-NY) Senate Majority PAC are the dark money behind the Alabama shell

group that has spent more than $4.1 million to defeat conservative Republican Roy Moore

in Tuesday's Alabama U.S. Senate special election in which he faces liberal Democrat

Doug Jones."

4.

Liberals Behind The Character Assassination Of Roy Moore

For weeks, there was an ongoing barrage of accusations made about Roy Moore, where he

was even accused of pedophilia and going after several underage girls.

One of Moore's accusers was Beverly Young Nelson, the ex-waitress who charged that Moore

groped her when she was 16 and he was in his 30s, and used her high school yearbook bearing

Moore's signature as "proof" that she knew him.

Even though Nelson would be busted for plagiarizing the yearbook entry, liberals still used the

woman's false testimony as a way to push the narrative that Moore was a "sexual predator."

There still has yet to be any evidence against Moore except the testimonies of these women,

who conveniently crawled out of the woodwork to share their stories right before the race.

It was even discovered that George Soros was behind the hit research of Moore, and was

encouraging these women to speak out against the Republican judge.

It's pretty disturbing how liberals will not stop in their conquest to destroy this

country with their shady and illegal antics, and yesterday was a enormous hit to the Republican

Party.

Jones' victory will have significant consequences for Republicans on the national level, where

Democrats are now working towards capturing the last Senate seat up for grabs next year

in order to gain the majority in the Senate.

NFL Is Failing, Record Low Ticket Sales May Doom Organization | MK Today - Duration: 2:46.

NFL Is Failing, Record Low Ticket Sales May Doom Organization.

There aren't many things you can purchase these days for only $2.

You can't even buy a gallon of gas for $2.

One thing you can buy with $2, though, is an NFL ticket.

Well, at least on Sunday you could.

In a match-up between the Buffalo Bills and the Indianapolis Colts, Vivid Seats was selling

tickets for as low as $2.

Even the really good seats near the 50-yard line were going for $29.

Granted, there was a snow storm that day in Buffalo, but that game wasn't the only one

selling tickets for extremely low prices.

Tickets for the Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers game were going for as low as $7

In contrast, New York Upstate reported that in the same area as the Bills game, a college

hockey team had tickets for $28.

Ouch.

That hurts.

It should be noted that not all teams are suffering from those extremely low ticket

sales, but overall, ticket prices aren't what they used to be.

When Colin Kaepernick started his protests by kneeling during the National Anthem, he

probably never expected the negative impact that his decision would have on the NFL.

The NFL never really learned its lesson, though.

In fact, earlier this year, players doubled down on their protests and continued kneeling

despite pressure from fans to stop.

Fans responded in force by turning the TV off, and they also stopped going to the games.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell needs to learn the basic economic principle of supply and

demand.

Provide a product that people actually want to see, then your prices will skyrocket due

to demand.

Tick your fan base off, and ticket sales will plummet due to the lack of demand.

You know things are bad for the NFL when tickets for the game are cheaper than a hot dog and

drink at the stadium.

Goodell doesn't have the backbone to deal with the protesters, though.

In fact, it was even suggested by some owners that players should just stay in the locker

room during the National Anthem next year.

Yeah, that's a great idea.

Instead of dealing with the problem, let's just try and hide the players.

It takes leadership to run the NFL, Mr. Goodell.

Leadership requires that you make the right decision even when it's unpopular.

It's time to deal with these protesters once and for all.

Require them to stand for the anthem and watch those ticket prices jump back up to normal

levels.

If not, I'll send you a bottle of ibuprofen (which is something else you can't buy for

$2).

You can expect more economic headaches in the future.

we have heard other veterans of the FBI and the Department of Justice push back against this attack on the reputation of the FBI at

This time we haven t heard from you in the time. I have left

Will you respond to this tweet by the president is the FBI s reputation in tatters?

Rea mr. Chairman may I have time to answer this question because it asks something that matters to me a great deal

You bet we make mistakes just like everybody that as human makes mistakes and when we make mistakes there are independent

Processes like the outside

Independent inspector general that will drive and dive deep into the facts

Surrounding those mistakes and when that independent fact-finding is complete

We will hold our folks accountable if that is appropriate Reyes comments echo the sentiments of FBI agents as well

Thomas O'Connor head of the FBI agents Association previously slammed Trump and noted FBI agents are dedicated to their mission

Suggesting otherwise is simply false the Trump attack isn't to happening in a vacuum

He is under investigation

By the agency for his campaign s activities with Russia during the election

He fired then FBI director James Comey after repeatedly pressuring him to falsely claim that Trump was not the target

to deflect from the guilty pleas of his inner circle to so far with two more indicted Trump seeks to undermine the legitimacy of the

FBI like he has tried to do with the media

No matter who tells the truth or attempts to hold Trump to standards of truth and accountability he lashes out

The FBI is not perfect, but they do not deserve to be dragged through the mud by the person holding the presidency

What is Wishiwashi? Pokemon Explained - Duration: 3:01.

Yoo...its your boy SoundProof back on that Pokemon *ISH.

Alola introduced a ton of new Pokemon so let's get into one of my favorite new additions,

Wishiwashi.

"At their appearance, even Gyarados will flee.

When they team up to use Water Gun, its power exceeds that of Hydro Pump."

Lies!

Utter slanderish lies!

Ugh I can't believe this anti-Gyarados proproganda, its crazy.

Gyarados is a monster.

Aside from that crap about Gyarados, we all know that Wishiwashi is a Pacific sardine.

You know like those fish from Nemo.

But, that's not what I'm here for.

Wishiwashi starts as a little fish and ends up being a gigantic submarine.

Being rational about it this is most like an overzealous example of schooling.

However, can a school of fish get that big?

First we need to pin down what exactly is schooling.

This is where we turn to Professor Pikachu.

Schooling is usually classified as fish synchronizing their swimming so they all move at the same

speed and in the same direction.

Simple.

Most schools of fish are usually the same species, the same age, and size.

Fish schools move with the individual members precisely spaced from each other.

The schools undertake some pretty complicated maneuvers, as though the schools have minds

of their own.

That is crazy like how do you they not bump into one another.

That's in line with how all the little Wishiwashi form the bigger version without crashing into

one another.

Okay, okay, okay we know how fish school, but now we need why they school.

It appears that individual fish join schools for selfish reasons, the schools must offer

benefits greater than the costs of increased visibility to predators, increased competition,

and energetic instability.

They're a huge example of safety in numbers.

But its not all rainbows, individuals also alter their behavior by competing for the

safest spots within the school, jostling to be the first to eat, and leaving the school

if does not benefit them as an individual.

Fish are dicks.

So schooling fish are a lot like people.

You stay as long as it benefits yourself, but as soon it doesn't you're out.

That sounds about right.

Well I'm leaving it here.

If you enjoyed the video leave a like!

Its your boy SoundProof back on that Pokemon *ISH and until next time peace!

A True 19th.c. Quote on the Metrical (double) Metronome Use? Here it is. - Duration: 17:50.

In our long row of videos with Lorenz, author of the book "Takt und Pendelschlag"

our discussion about double and single beat, the use of pendulum measures and French metronome numbers of the 17th and 18th century

one of the intriguing things which people have asked me,

there are not only metronome and speed indications, but also

measurements of time durations of how long musical pieces lasted in practical performances.

So that's really intriguing because those durations if I understand it correctly

these durations are more implicating the single beat interpretation of metronome numbers.

What is your take on that?

I agree that this argument against the metrical theory has to be taken very seriously.

The given time durations seem to be very clear.

If I say the concert began at 7.30 and lasted until 9.30, nobody will seriously argue that the concert lasted 4 hours.

Like two metrical hours.

Thus we have to ask whether everything is clear. If a composer writes, a piece lasts 3 minutes, is there anything left to argue?

End of game? Yes, it is one of the strongest arguments against the metrical theory.

But I also have examples which cause me to say that even here the assumption of the metrical time is right.

This really would interest me.

Here we have the performance times given by Milchmeier, a piano forte school from 1801.

I have looked at these given times and translated them into metronome numbers.

And the metronome numbers just fit into the metrical theory - if I interpret them metrically.

So you basically are saying that these metronome numbers are in the same range at all the other metronome numbers of that period...

Here we have a piece "La Chasse" a 6/8 piece

with repetitions of quavers (eighth notes)

According to the duration time we have a tempo of 540 quavers per minute or 9 quavers per second...

Please note these are also repetitions! This is extremely fast!

9 quavers per second is even difficult to sing...

The piece is the imitation of a hunting horn...

Here we have a Menuet tempo, 135 quarter notes per minute.

Comparing it with the tempo of a Menuet by Mozart

We have ornaments, double beat on the sixteenth notes - 32th notes....very fast, 135 quarter notes per minute...

I will take it to the camera, so we can focus on this.

The above is by Milchmeier, the piece below is a Menuet by Mozart.

Milchmeier notes 135 quarter notes per minute.

This is very difficult - double beat on the sixteenth note... I am not saying that it is not possible, but very very fast.

I only want to say that the notes by Milchmeier are within the range of the metronome numbers of that time.

But then we have the duration times given, which seem to be clear and not disputable.

Now, I have found a comment by him - and this might seem to be a bit nitpicking ...

Milchmeier writes: "With variations, which have the same movements the duration of the variations of one theme has been counted as one."

Obviously he did not measure pieces consisting of several parts seperately with his watch,

but he counted them as one.

Thus he calculated the time duration.

But that is the same thing.

My point is, that when counting bars which follow one another as periodical units

it is only consequent that if I am using such periodical - metrical - units that I am also using the metrical measure

- the metrical minute or metrical second.

Counting metrical, periodical units differs from measuring a time line.

If I measure periodical units, period after period, it is very logical that I also use as a measuring method a periodical unit.

This is purely an assumption, yes.

I have no proof other than the comparison with the other time measurements.

And the definition of the second. Where I can say with more than 11 authors that it is a metrical definition - the double second.

I find this very interesting and as a musician I have to say that these repetitions of "La Chasse" - I cannot play that in this tempo...

and I am not ashamed to say this - and I do not have a bad technique!

So I do not have a bad technique and I cannot play this and it does not make sense.

Perhaps you can say that is taste - but really, is that taste, these hurried notes?

Well, it should be the imitation of a hunting horn - think about how should a hunting horn be imagined?

A hunting horn goes like this.....and not in such a hurry, this is not a hunting horn!

Well you are not supposed to say that it is impossible but it is impossible.

That is something which needs more research, Lorenz!

I have yet another example, from the violin school from Baillot.

Around 1830, here in this violin school we have duration times and metronome numbers.

Here he writes about an étude which is many pages long:

He writes crotchet/quarter notes = 100 and duration time two minutes.

We could think that this is a proof that the metrical theory is wrong - BUT

However, Mr Baillot has made a very interesting remark with regard to a détaché étude - the playing with the detached bow:

He writes tempo giusto for playing with detached bow.

Here he writes something very interesting about how he understands the pendulum beats.

152 = deux doubles croches

He is saying: quarter note= 152; this is four semiquavers;

Here he writes you can practise until 152 = two semiquavers according to the metronome.

He is practically saying for two semiquavers one beat.

And here we have an indication how he understands the notation of quarter note = 152.

He understands the metronome numer metrically!

For two semiquavers one beat!

A single beat!

So he is saying the 152 for the quarter note is actually the 152 for the eighth note.

This is the same author, in the same book, the same time.

Here we have it written black and white how he understands this metronome numbers.

There must have been a clear understanding between students and teachers to read duration times metrically.

Yes, it is logical to measure metrical time units with metrical units. But this understanding fades as we get closer to the 19th century.

By the way this example also illustrates that it can be only understood metrically.

Here we have quarter note = 152....and we have movements of semiquavers (sixteenth notes) ....

....and they are detached, meaning staccato

How can you do this "détaché"?

It is impossible to perform it in this way!

It is impossible, I think everybody will agree...

But of course there is this discussion whether he really wanted it 152 or only as fast as possible....

Thank you Lorenz for sharing this, as I understand, this research has yet to be done...

It is a kind of Achilles heel - so to speak - of the double beat,

But looking to the practical examples, if I would have been a student of Milchmeier,

I certainly would not have my degree in piano playing because I would not be able to perform it this way...

and I believe that my piano playing technique is of a very high standard.

And please note, Milchmeier's piano school was written for beginners !!

So according to Milchmeier I would not even be a beginner....

A very interesting problem and we will certainly cover more of that in the future.

So if you have a question on that, please do not hesitate to leave it in the comment section and we will come back to you.

If this is your first time to this channel, we would love to have you subscribe.

So you will get notified about new videos, not only on the tempo but also the other videos we are doing on this channel.

Thank you again, see you next time. Bye!

Is the Reformation Over? | Episode 48 | Lineage - Duration: 4:37.

Our spiritual lineage is a rich one,

with many illustrious names stretching back to the earliest centuries.

We started this journey tracing our spiritual lineage with the Celtic Church in Britain.

We saw that as early as the 5th and 6th centuries, and lasting to the 12th century,

there were Christians who were trying to maintain a faith based on their understanding of God's Word.

The Waldensians of northern Italy were another such group who could trace their origins centuries back.

The faith and belief of groups such as these

stood in conflict with the claims from Rome, that they were the mother church,

and so they sought to either convert or destroy them

[music]

In an era of immense darkness, John Wycliffe arose--the 'Morning Star'.

Whilst he did not start a new church, by translating the Bible and through his teachings

he was able to peel back the layers of night that had descended during the dark ages.

John Wycliffe was followed by Hus and Jerome, two brave men in Prague.

A century later, Martin Luther arose in Germany;

Zwingli in Switzerland; Farel and Calvin in France and then Switzerland.

All great men who went against the grain and remained true to their convictions

[music]

In Britain William Tyndale would produce a beautiful translation of the Bible, something that would cost him his life.

It was not an easy time to be a believer

but slowly and surely the light was beginning to shine proverbs 4 verse 18

says that the path of the just is as a shining light that shines ever brighter

unto the perfect day meaning that when God reveals truth to us whether

individually or collectively he does it bit by bit the Sun does not just appear

in the morning but it comes over the horizon gradually and so God gives us

truth in bite-size pieces and so with the church each reformer built on the

steps of those who had come before them

Paul Ryan is "really excited" about his tax hike, but only 8 percent of Americans are - Duration: 2:07.

Paul Ryan's really excited about his tax hike but only eight percent of Americans are it is no secret that House

Speaker Paul Ryan really

really wants to demolish the social safety net and the

Republican tax scheme that was just rushed through the Senate gets him a step closer to achieving his dream

He is now talking about cuts to Medicare and Medicaid to reduce the deficit

Even though the GOP bill which will raise the deficit by over one trillion dollars in the first place has not even become law yet

It is clear that this was always his game plan a month ago

He proclaimed that he was really excited about getting massive tax cuts for corporations and millionaires past so this whole process could begin

But Americans do not share any Nessun thew Z azzam according to a new CBS poll released

Thursday morning the poll finds that just 8% of Americans are very excited about the GOP tax

proposal Maur over

53% of Americans and 52% of independents opposed the bill and only 24% think it will help their own families

even among Republicans

More think the bill will benefit large corporations and their own families by an 18 point margin

These numbers are similar to the results from Quinnipiac

Gallup Reuters app shows and Politico morning consult

every poll shows around half of Americans opposing the plan and strong majorities believing it benefits the wealthy more than them if

These numbers are not enough make Ryan wary

Then the numbers on his push to cut Medicare certainly should polls show 90 percent of Americans oppose that idea

This should not come as a surprise

When he was Mitt Romney's running mate Ryan proposed privatizing Medicare on the campaign trail and voters overwhelmingly

Said no now as Speaker

he seems determined to commit exactly the same fatal overreach that destroyed the

Republican Party once before at that moment when polls also make clear voters already want Democrats to retake the House

Paul Ryan might be excited about turning public programs upside down and looting them for his donors

But America is not on his side and nor has it ever been
