Manchester United and Manchester City asked by the FA for their observations regarding post-derby dressing room bust-up

MANCHESTER UNITED and Manchester City have been asked by the Football Association for their observations regarding Sundays dressing room bust-up.

Romelu Lukaku reportedly threw a bottle at City coach Mikel Arteta leaving him bleeding from the face during the Old Trafford tunnel clash.

Earlier, City had just beaten their great rivals 2-1 at Old Trafford when it all kicked off… with the FA now demanding answers and potentially even CCTV footage.

Arteta had "blood pouring down his face" and left the stadium with "a wound on his forehead", according to reports.

Spanish radio station Cedenaser claim the injury was a result of being hit by a bottle thrown by Belgian star Lukaku.

There is no indication the Man City coach was intentionally targeted in the incident – which involved 15 people, according to one eye-witness.

There are even claims that milk, water and a bottle were thrown at Jose Mourinho at the height of the ruck.

A United source told SunSport that manager Mourinho was angry with Citys stars for their over-the-top celebrations, demanding they show more respect".

Police officers were understood to be standing in the tunnel area although are not thought to have been involved.

Mourinho is said to have accused City keeper Ederson of lacking "respect" as the angry words escalated into a bout of pushing and shoving.

One eye witness told SunSport: "People couldn't believe what they were seeing.

"It was going crazy for a few seconds, with loads of screaming and shouting.

It looked like it might get completely out of control.

Both Manchester clubs are now expected to respond to the FA with their take on the incident.

Worth Every Penny - 12 Expensive Products For Men That Are Worth Their Money - Gentleman's Gazette - Duration: 18:02.

Welcome back to the gentleman's Gazette! In today's video, we will discuss twelve expensive

products that are worth their money. I've had all these products for years and because

of that, I know they are worth it. In this list, all those things that are either downright

expensive or things that are relatively expensive compared to other items you can get on the

market. If you've watched our videos in the past, you know that I always encourage you

to invest in quality items because quality items get better with age versus cheap items

deteriorate over time. Also, I encourage you to look at the cost per wear of an item, not

just the upfront cost, because most of the time, a quality item is less expensive in

the long run. That being said, not every expensive item has to be new, sometimes you can find

quality items that used to be expensive but you buy them used, that way, you can enjoy

the quality benefits without having to go all-in on the money.

So what are the twelve expensive items that are worth their money?

In my opinion, the first one is a large leather weekender or duffle bag. Most quality leather

bags will likely run you around $1,000 or more simply because of the high end leather.

Ideally, you want it to be leather lined without having the extra weight. I've received lots

of compliments from my leather weekender because it has a wonderful leather, it's a classic

brown tone which is nothing special, however, it is chrome tanned in Italy and has a nice

pull up effect. What that means is if I pull on the leather, it creates a different effect.

Also if I scratch it, I see a scratch mark but then if I rub on it with my finger, it

secretes some oils and the scratch mark is hardly ever visible. This kind of leather

creates a wonderful patina over time that is lived in and unique to you and the experiences

you had with your bag. I can use it when I travel over the weekend or just as a carry-on,

or simply as a bag that I bring to go to the gym. Because of the leather, this kind of

bag will be unique. No one else will have one like you and it's simply much more stylish

and elegant than a nylon bag or a canvas bag. It will also last longer and therefore, the

cost per wear is low.

The second expensive item is a pair of quality socks. At $40, it is relatively expensive

and if you go with materials like silk or cashmere, you go out to 75 or $100- $120.

Obviously, you can buy a pair of socks for $1 less, the problem is, especially over the

calf socks, is that they always slide down. On top of that the material is cheap, the

seams are thick, the socks are uncomfortable, and you have to wear them all day. It's probably

no surprise you that I'm wearing $40.00 socks from Fort Belvedere because I designed them

myself and was sick and tired of socks that would slide down so I came up with a design

of high quality yarns with socks that stayed up with the right elastics. On top of that,

I wanted two tone colors because they make it much easier to combine the socks with your

outfits and your shoes. To learn more about how to do that, please check out this guide

here. At the same time quality socks that are more expensive come in different sizes.

For example, Fort Belvedere offers four sizes so you get exactly the right fit for your

foot. Because we use a very expensive high quality long staple cotton yarns, they will

last longer, and the cost per wear is as low or lower than a cheaper pair of socks. To

check out the full selection of our socks, please check out our shop and if you buy more,

the price goes down, that way your cost per wear is even lower.

The third item that is worth its money is an overcoat. Yes, you can find overcoats for

less than 200 dollars but a quality overcoat from natural materials such as wool, or cashmere,

will run you at least a thousand dollars or more. Not only does it keep you warm during

the cold months of the year, but it's also very stylish. You can wear it on top with

a suit, a jacket, or just your regular sweater. If you buy a classic overcoat such as a duffle

coat in Ulster, or maybe a paletot, you'll get something you can wear for years to come.

In my opinion, the best value is a hundred percent wool overcoat out of a heavy wool.

If money is no object for you, go with a cashmere blend which is softer, usually not as heavy,

and it wears out more quickly. If you can just invest in one overcoat, I suggest going

with a navy or dark blue overcoat, a paletot which is very simple with a peak lapel that

is double-breasted because the extra layers keep you warm. If you're a budget, overcoats

are a great item to buy second-hand because they don't fit as snugly because of the heavy

fabric, they drape better, and they're just more forgiving than a suit would be. Basically,

all the overcoats in my collection are vintage and I was able to get quality pieces at very

low price. It ranges from a vintage Chester Barrie paletot overcoat with a velvet collar

to a British warm or just a casentino style double-breasted navy overcoat that I have

found at Bobby from Boston.

The fourth expensive item that's worth its money is a nice pair of well fitting gloves.

Usually price point wise, you have to invest between hundred fifty dollars, if you want

to go with peccary leather, we're talking more about three hundred plus dollars. First

of all, your gloves should fit tightly and it should be made of a soft glove leather

that stretches with the movements of your hands. You also want quirks between the fingers

because it increases the range of movement and makes it more comfortable. To learn more

about the glove leathers, please check out our glove leather guide here. You want them

to be finally sewn either by hand or by machine and you want something that just gets better

with age. For example, lamb Napa is really soft and very nice but it will wear out more

quickly than peccary leather which is really made to last. For example, I've had this pair

of peccary gloves for over 10 years. I would wear them outside in the winter, they got

all wet but I could wash them and dry them and they've developed a patina over the years.

They're too big and don't fit me really well that's why I decided to create my own but

overall, the leather is top-notch and that's how a peccary glove will age over time. For

a selection of quality gloves, please check out our shop here and if you want to see how

one of our gloves is made and what goes into it, please check out this guide here.

Fifth item that is worth its money is a pair of precious metal cufflinks. Price-wise, it

can range all the way from 300 dollars up to $25,000. So why should you invest in a

pair of cufflinks? It's simply one of those few jewelry items for men apart from a ring

that look very dapper, elegant, and classic. Most modern cufflinks these days are made

in China, the not made out of precious metal, they look cheap, gaudy, and they're quite

loud. On the other hand, classic cufflinks for example, knots or some with precious or

semi-precious stones as well as cloisonné enamel cufflinks are made by true artisans

and craftsmen that put all their knowledge into it and because it is made of a precious

metal, it will last you for a lifetime and you can even hand it down to your children

and grandchildren. If you invest in a piece like Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels, or Tiffany,

you also pay for the brand name and their experience. How much you should invest in

a pair of cufflinks is of course entirely up to you but just a comparison; on the one

hand, you have a pair of Tiffany cufflinks in 18 karat gold, they're hollow, they're

not solid, and they cost $2,700, on the other hand, we have a pair of monkey fist knot Fort

Belvedere cufflinks, the shape was hand-carved and it's an actual rope knot and you can see

how it's nice and twisted, they're also solid and therefore much heavier than the gold cufflinks

from Tiffany's. I think both of them can be worn for a lifetime and because the plating

is so thick, it won't rub. The Fort Belvedere cufflinks only costs $325 so whether it's

worth it to spend more than $2,000 for a gold version from a brand name is again up to you

but what I am trying to explain to you is that you can find quality items that will

last and you don't always have to go with a top dollar amount to get it

The sixth item that I think you should invest in are pinkie rings. They're just a wonderful

addition to a classic gentleman's wardrobe and it's not something a lot of other people

will wear. The problem is, it's very difficult to find classic shapes in nice materials such

as sterling silver or gold on the market today. Either you have to go custom and spend several

thousand dollars on the ring or you go vintage but it costs a lot of time, you often find

lots of crappy rings. Personally, all the Rings in my collection right now are vintage,

they range from sterling silver, all the way to solid 18 karat gold and everything in between.

Because so difficult to find new ones we're currently working on them so stay tuned.

The seventh item worth investing in is a Montblanc meisterstuck fountain pen. Of course, there

are lots of other great manufacturers of fountain pens. Italian ones such as Xmas, maybe Parker,

or you name it, however, the Montblanc meisterstuck pen has been around for a very long time.

It's a very classic status symbol for many but it's also a very good item that will not

wear out prematurely. It has a nice gold nib and it writes very beautifully. At one point

in time, I owned over a hundred Montblanc fountain pens because I was a collector and

fountain pens is actually what got me into men's clothing. Today, I reduced my collection

a lot and I only have three Montblanc fountain pens; one is a meisterstuck 149 which is their

biggest flagship model and it has a 3b nib which is quite wide and use it for signatures,

another one has just a b nib and I use it to write or take notes and then have a vintage

piece which is very old, it was made out of celluloid, it had a solid brass telescope

mechanism inside versus the modern meisterstuck fountain pens are made out of resin and inside

is like a plastic lever mechanism. That being said, the old fountain pen doesn't work so

well anymore because the seal is not tight, because they used to have cork inside. The

new ones seal very well and they probably will last you for a lifetime. Interestingly

over the time, the price has steadily increased to now almost a thousand dollars. When I started,

they cost about half but even then, you could find them used on eBay the problem is, there

lots of fakes out there especially for Montblanc so I suggest you only buy from trusted sources.

Eighth item worth its money is a pair of Goodyear welted shoes. Which style you want heavily

depends on what kind of lifestyle you live. A good year welted pair of shoes is usually

made from a higher-quality leather than a glued pair of shoes. It also has a more classic

last that will stand the test of time and it can be resold which is less expensive than

buying a new pair. Now price wise, you can spend under two hundred dollars or three thousand

dollars on a pair of good year shoes, of course, the difference is the quality of the leather,

the patina, or the hand coloring, the finish, also the bottom and at the details are gonna

be much more intricate on higher-end shoes. More expensive shoes will probably have a

hand-stitched good year welt, they'll have a nice waist, and a lot more time went into

your construction of that shoe. Of course, if you spend two thousand dollars or more,

you also can get a custom Goodyear welted shoe and that's just a wonderful experience

because it really is perfectly suited to your foot and your foot alone. Is it worth spending

$3,000 over two hundred dollars? I think it's a very personal choice but if you have a foot

that works with most lasts of higher-end companies and they usually come in different widths

and different shapes, you find something that works for you, it's definitely a much better

value to go that route. That being said, it will never be as comfortable as a bespoke

shoe. to learn more about the differences in Goodyear welted shoes, please check out

this video here.

The ninth expensive item worth investing in is a quality belt. I know belts are probably

not something you might deem expensive because you can find them for $10 but you can also

find some for $3,000. In my experience, a quality belt cost upwards of about a hundred

and fifty dollars. The difference of course with quality belts is that they all have a

high-end leather material on the inside, as well as on the outside, and also on the lining.

Now, most belts today including quality belts are edge painted which means the leather is

cut on the edges and then burnished and painted to create a uniform look. The really high

quality belts are thinned out at the edges which means you need more leather and then

they're folded and sewn together. It's just a construction that lasts much longer than

an edge painted construction and it's a true hallmark of a quality leather belt. Another

detail about the quality belt is its buckle. Most belt buckles in the market today are

made of a material called zamac. It's an alloy made out of the zinc, aluminum, magnesium,

and copper, the problem is, it will age very poorly and it's scratches very easily so over

time, you have to throw your belt away even though the leather might not be worn out but

the buckle just looks crappy. Higher-end buckle is a solid brass buckle. Over time, brass

develops a patina and because of that, it's often gold plated, or platinum, or palladium

plated, for more formal dress belts that you would wear with a suit. Now the plating and

thickness of the buckle can have a huge impact not only on the longevity of the buckle, but

also on the price. In my opinion, a solid brass buckle with a nice thick coating either

gold, or palladium, is probably your best value for the money. If money is of no concern

to you, you may want to look into solid 925 sterling silver buckles or solid 14

or 18 karat gold buckles. Now that's a whole other level and the buckle itself will be

worth more than the entire belt itself. Is it worth it getting for example, a sterling

silver buckle versus a solid brass and pay three or four hundred dollars more? It depends

it's a true luxury item and silver just develops a patina that you won't see on a plated brass

buckle.

The 10th expensive item I would invest in is a professional camera. I know most people

today use cellphones and they think they are pro cameras but they're actually not. A pro

level camera has a large sensor, it allows you to get a wonderful depth of field which

means the amount is in sharpness versus the out-of-focus areas; just creates a very beautiful

look and in combination with the increased sharpness and the color rendition, it's just

a very different experience. Personally, I use DSLR cameras such as the Nikon d80 or

a Nikon d 500. It has the advantage that it comes with interchangeable lenses but overall,

you need to invest between about five to ten thousand dollars to get a nice DSLR with a

range of lenses that allow you to basically photograph everything you want. In my opinion,

it's totally worth it because with a business where I use it but even for just personal

use, I would recommend to invest in a more upscale camera. Of course, if you're rich,

you want the very best in quality, you have to go with a medium format digital camera

such as a Hasselblad, however, bear in mind that these pictures oftentimes have a hundred

megapixels so you need a whole ecosystems of computers, cards, and everything that work

together, so you can develop a workflow and actually get those pictures. It's more something

for a pro photographer, not something for an amateur.

The 11th item is a wallet. A wallet is something you wear everyday, you pull it out when you

maybe pay for a business meal, and overall, it develops a nice patina if it's made of

quality letter. A cheap wallet on the other hand just falls apart and it looks older.

In my opinion, a wallet should always be an attractive item that you like wearing, that

has a nice touch, a nice feel, and it's something that lasts. Let's say you invest $285 in a

Fort Belvedere wallet which is made of the highest quality leather there is in Germany,

if you break it down to the cost per wear, you probably end up of 5 to 15 cents a day

depending on how you treat it and how long it would last you.

The 12th expensive item that I think is worth investing money in is your smartphone. Personally,

I use my smartphone every day. I do lots of business dealings with it and because of that.

I always buy the top model when it comes out and then I'll use it for two years. At that

point, I can sell it for 200 bucks or pass it on to a relative. For example, just here

today I bought the new pixel 2 XL phone; with taxes and everything included, it costs me

over a thousand bucks, however if I can use it for two years and I break it down, it costs

me only about a dollar and 40 per day. Personally, I'd love to buy a modular phone so I could

do exactly what I want without creating too much waste because as you know, with the technological

advances in the smartphone market, we've new things coming out every month almost and because

of that, we have a lot of old phones that are just discarded which is a huge waste and

a big ecological problem. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a more eco-friendly option

out there so you have to stick with what it is. Why do I go with a Google phone rather

than iPhone? I'm just not part of the Apple ecosystem, we use a lot of Google products,

and it simply works for us. Also, I like the fact that it doesn't come with any kind of

bloatware such as on Samsung, LG's, or Huawei where security and other updates are necessary,

Google phones usually receive them first.

What are expensive items that you think are worth the money? Please share in the comments

below.

Today I'm wearing a classic fall outfit which consists of a three button single breasted

tweed coat in a nice chocolate color I found that one vintage and pairing it with a burgundy

vest and a red striped shirt the tie is a silk knit tie from Fort Belvedere you can

find it in our shop here same is true for my silk wool pocket square and my cufflinks

I chose gold monkey fist knot cufflinks because they're classic and they work well with my

knit tie as well as the buttons on my waistcoat because I have a louder vest pocket square

I went with just plain Navy corduroy pants which are typical for fall

winter outfits I combined them with brown jodhpur boots and you want to learn more about

boots please check out the guide on our website here socks I'm wearing are likewise Fort belvedere

they're the blue and red ones but you can hardly see them when you have boots I like

them because they go over the calf they stay up and keep me warm and dressy all day to

add a little something special to my outfit I went with a pinky ring which is a nice green

tourmaline and I also added a boutonniere flower which is an Edelweiss from Fort Belvedere

and you can find it here

DNC Panel With MAJOR RECONSTRUCTION To Avoid 2016!

– Bad News For Them…

After all, it looks like they've started to learn from their mistakes.

After Hillary Clinton completely high-jacked the DNC and turned it into a weapon which

she can control whenever, wherever she whats, the DNC is struggling to make up a system

which will never allow this to happen again.

Regarding this issue, there is a commission set up which will reform the DNC and it is

targeted the nominating process that has to be reorganized from the core.

Via The Gateway Pundit:

"The changes are backed by the Bernie Sanders wing of the party with the goal to empower

the party's grassroots movement to avoid nominating another loser like Hillary Clinton.Democratic

U.S. presidential candidate Bernie Sanders speaks at a rally in Hollywood, Los Angeles,

California, United States October 14, 2015.

REUTERS/Lucy Nicholson – RTS4IJU"

Via POLITICO:

"The Democratic Party's Unity Reform Commission is recommending cutting the number of superdelegates

by about 400, equal to a 60 percent reduction.

Many of the remaining superdelegates would see their vote tied to the results in their

state.

The commission is also suggesting that absentee voting be required as an option for presidential

caucus participants.

It is calling for automatic voter registration and same-day voter registration.

And it wants to mandate public reporting of raw vote totals from caucus states.

The recommendations will now go to the Democratic National Committee's rules and bylaws committee,

and then likely to the full 447-member Democratic National Committee for consideration sometime

next year, where it will need two-thirds support to pass."

"It's not going to be about 447 people, it's going to be about millions of people

and how they pick up this challenge and this path," stated the former president of the

Communication Workers of America Larry Cohen.

He was appointed to this position by Bernie Sanders.

This whole situation looks like the DNC are trying to avoid another 2016 scenario and

pick a loser like Hillary to represent them.

The point is, no matter what they do, they won't bring down Trump because he is a President

chosen by us, the people.

As for Hillary Clinton, she was forced onto the people so badly that she almost won, no

matter that she doesn't really care for this country.

Advice For Current Students - Duration: 0:50.

My advice for current GED students is to never give up.

Yeah go for it, you'll make it just study hard and believe in yourself.

You have to work hard and harder until you get it and sometimes like you fail the test

it doesn't mean that you cannot get it.

You have to retake it and study harder until you pass it.

Once you have the mindset that you want to get your GED and obtain it, the sky is the

limit.

Work hard and put in the time necessary and always always go to class.

Stay motivated and dedicated.

Once you receive the GED there's nothing that you can't do.

version let's hear what it can do let's check out some strings effects

here are some brass effects

let's listen to some woodwinds effects

and here are some choir effects

as you can hear there are a huge range of sounds here

over 2400 in fact

covering shorts Long's stings textures rises and falls the library is presented

as four separate contact patches for each of the main sections strings brass

woodwinds and choir and a fifth effects builder patch which allows you to build

and layer up to four different samples and edit them to create your own bespoke

effects but more on that later one really cool thing about this library is

that we've made the categories and keyboard mapping consistent across all

of the section patches so if you want you can load them all up and the

different effects samples will all match up

here are the string effects with the different categories assigned to key

switches and the playable range here for each individual sample you can alter the

volume panning and tuning each can also have its start and end points of the

playback changed

you can loop the sample and even play it backwards or ping-pong

low and high-pass filters are global for the whole patch

and of course these can be assigned to external controllers with a right-click

combine these options with the effects rack to turn traditional orchestral

effects into some pretty crazy and inspiring sounds

you

of the fifth patch I mentioned earlier is the effects builder here you can use

the browser to layer up to four different samples and adjust their

playback parameters in exactly the same way as the individual patches set volume

panning tuning start and end points in the normal way and the second page here

reveals the controls for looping reverse and ping-pong playback and also sliders

to delay the start of the sample after you hit a key use the blue key range

here to change the route note there are so many uses for this effects builder

and it's easy to get creative

has thanked his fans for their love and support following the sudden death of his wife Gemma. The Sky Sports anchors beloved wife died of leukaemia at the age of 40 just three days after being diagnosed.

He took to Twitter on Saturday to post: Two weeks on since she went. I have only been able to read a fraction of the incredible outpouring of love and support for us on here in the painful days that followed..

He added: One day, with my boy, we will read them.

For now, all I can say from the depths of my heart, is thank you. Fans rushed to post comments of sympathy, with one writing: That boy will be incredibly proud of not only his mother, but his Dads achievements.

When the time is right, return to our screens and make your lad proud. Another said: The dignity and grace with which you have met such sadness will be the greatest of inspirations to your son.

The world wishes you both and your family nothing but the best. A third post read: There's no rush or time frame on grief man. My heart goes out entirely to you and your son..

Simon, 44, and his eight-year-old son Ethan were left in shock when Gemma passed away. She visited her GP complaining of feeling unwell just a week prior to her diagnosis.

At the time of her death, Simon asked his followers to keep their grief-stricken son in their prayers. Today I am crushed with indescribable pain, the Sky Sports anchor told his Twitter followers at the time.

Just three days after falling ill with Acute Myloid Leukaemia, my dear wife Gemma passed away yesterday evening surrounded by her family and friends. He added: If you are a prayer - pray for my boy Ethan. 8yrs, precious and in bits.

WALK-THRU for "Palette Brush Pack 01 - Melodics" (Red Room Audio) - Duration: 6:25.

greetings Dickie from Red Room audio here to introduce you to palette our thematic

professional orchestral series this video is going to be a playthrough for

the first brush pack entitled melodic s-- 17 of the most popular melody

carrying instruments and combinations from our favorite classical and modern

film scores all the performances were captured in standard orchestral seating

position and our combinations were recorded playing together not scripted

the palette series is debuting with three additional products that cover

most other elements of orchestral scoring so I invite you to check out the

videos dedicated to those libraries so you can see how the palette series can

work together to create a complete orchestral writing solution now let's

dig in our video for a palette symphonic sketch pad has details about the concept

and universal controls of the palette instruments so please spend a few

minutes with that walkthrough if you haven't already like all the other

products in the palette series melodic is in chaos compatible and works with

the free contact player as well as the full version 16 of the 17 melodic Spach

is have true legato let's hear the celli and basses octaves legato as an example

for those instruments the legato articulation controls here affect only

the legato transition samples like their volume offset attack and release this

allows for detailed control over the legato performance

of course there are many more articulations other than legato this is

the flutes and piccolo octaves oboe and bassoon octaves here's the bass clarinet

and contrabassoon octaves

trumpets and horns octaves

tuba and trombone octaves six horns

trumpet octaves

a two of my favorite patches in the entire palette series are in melodic s--

and the first is this low strings plus a low brass patch it's absolutely

monstrous my other favorite is this violins octaves patch which is

incredibly useful

many of the combo patches have to close mic positions each focused on one of the

instruments in the combo as an example here's the horns and violins octaves

patch closed mic position one is more focused on the horns and closed mic to

the violins so you can use these different closed positions to dial in

your own mix the soloist patches are clean and clear and because of the

nature of the hall fairly dry which allows you to easily mix them with other

libraries using your favorite reverbs here's the solo violin

although we've setup the defaults to be easy to work with

you might prefer to add some Hall ambience with the mic mixer

or even push them further back into the hall using a reverb effect in the

effects rack

this is the solo cello

solo flute the solo oboe

I think the solo trumpet patch is especially nice with a bit of reverb to

give it that military last post kind of quality

and don't forget that even though this brush pack is named melodic s--

you could use any of these instruments as smaller sections or for supporting

orchestration let's hear that by playing the solo horn as a trio pallet brush

pack one melodic s-- is available now at Red Room audio.com there you can also

check out product manuals watch other videos and listen to audio demos I hope

you have as much fun making music with palette as we had bringing it to you

thanks for tuning in

Q&A with Chris Yiu: Technology for the Many - Duration: 15:55.

I'm Chris, Senior Policy Fellow for Technology at the Tony Blair

Institute. We published a paper recently on technology policy called

Technology for the Many, this was all about understanding how we harness the

opportunities and deal with the challenges that technology brings for

politicians and policy makers and you can find out on the Institute website if

you've not seen it before. In the meantime folks who have been

reading the paper have been firing us their questions and comments about the

paper using the hashtag #TBItech. We've been keeping an eye on these on Twitter

or on Facebook via email and what I wanted to do now was just take a bit of

time to share with you guys some of the questions that have come in and our take

on some of the issues that have been raised. I should say all of these are

difficult complicated questions so this is probably the start of the

conversation rather than definitive answers but really pleased that we're

having this debate today. Okay so let's talk through a number of the

questions that came up and we'll see what we get to. So first question was

from Lap and he asked "Why set up a new government agency when enlarging

current departments could net a similar result?" and this is to do with one of the

recommendations in the report around setting up a new department for digital

and with senior political leadership. Now I think there's kind of lots of ways you

can cut the debate on machinery of government, the reason that we are

talking about a new department is probably threefold

so first up I think with technology being such an important issue one of the

risks if you put it into existing departmental portfolios is that it gets

sidelined because the government department is already busy with

the activities that they're focused on and kind of maintaining that great

momentum is hard. I think the second thing is thinking about the overall

strategic importance of the issues so technology is one of these domains which

cuts across everything and being able to hold all of that in one place rather than

having it distributed around different bits of government is really important.

Then the third thing and I think the one which is most important is trying to

use this as a way to actually foster change in government itself, so lots of

the machinery of government in a country like the UK was designed in

the 19th and 20th centuries I think there's a lot of scope for changing the

way that government operates making it fit for the 21st century and one of the

ways that we do that is starting with a new locus and bringing in new ways of

working and new sorts of people and the best way to do that is with a new

department. Okay second question is from Harry, who asks "How do we ensure rigorous data

privacy standards in an era of global data mobility?" Harry this is really

really hard right? I think that data is integral to all these technologies that

we talked about through the paper and privacy is something which people are

really cognizant of at the moment I think aspects of this are to do with

regulation and you're seeing strengthening regulation particularly in

Europe around GDPR and other aspects of this which are designed to try to

protect privacy to different extents. I think there's a conversation to be had

with some of the big industry players around this and and what sorts of

standards and safeguards should they put in place when collecting information and

storing it in a way that is properly protected against hacking and this sort

of thing I think there's an aspect of personal responsibility in here in all

of us when we load these apps onto our smartphones and I

certainly am guilty of clicking through the Terms and Conditions without necessarily

reading every single line of them and often times you know we should probably

think harder about privacy implications the decisions that we take but it's

difficult because the data that we share is also the data that powers some of

these platforms and there aren't easy answers through it and one thing that I

do think is exciting is some aspects of new technologies which would enable

better control of personal data so make it easier to share only the information

that you want to share with a company or an organisation and try to stem some of

the data leakage which happens at the moment so those technologies are in

their infancy but could potentially be really really exciting. Okay next up is

question from Steve about policy making "so you talked about using policy

modeling as a way to drive policy at a national and local level, how do you get

people to believe in it when there can be a reluctance to believe in black box

predictions?" So great question, one of the things we talked about in the paper is

trying to advance the state of the policymaking profession in government

there's lots of debate about what people call evidence-based policymaking using

data, using pilots, using controlled trials to understand the impact of

the decisions that politicians and political leaders make. One of the things

we talk about is using new technologies to try to bring a bit more transparency

around some of these questions and using new techniques to get a better handle on

what the impacts of policies might be. I think you're right, I think when

this is a black box it can be hard because how do you know how a decision

was arrived at but one of the upsides of modern technology is there are ways to

use this I think to bring more transparency in so give you an example

say that we were thinking about should we build a new tram line in a large

British city. The traditional way of doing this would be to commission

economic impact studies, you know long discursive documents and economic models.

Nowadays the technology exists to do a large scale simulation of the way that

people move around a city to try to understand a potential impact on

commuting patterns for example and what's really cool about new

technologies is we could open that up and why not as well as just publishing

the summary report, why not publish the model? Why not publish an interactive

tool which lets people and see if you put the tram line down different streets

or you look at at different times a day how that would affect the way that

people are moving around? So I kinda hope that there would be ways through this

which make policymaking not just better decisions but also help people

understand why decisions were arrived at and that is going to require and use lots of

talent, new sorts of technology in government but something that we should

all be excited about. Right next up Mandy is asking about medical

technology. What technology improvements in

particular would you advocate to address medical assistance for the aging

population, how do you envisage assisting the elderly, most of whom

struggle with technology and to not use smartphones or the Internet. This is an

excellent question and I think in here my take on this is less

about specific technologies in a kind of clinical context but I do think there's

some interesting developments happening around the use of preventative and

remote monitoring tools for elderly people you know you can supplement home

visits with technologies that help you detect falls for example, which in an era

where you've got to get rapid assistance out to people can be

honestly helpful. I also think there's an angle in here around just human

connection and loneliness right so for a lot of older people and there are

medical issues but also social isolation is a real thing and being able to make

those connections using the Internet as well as in person can be really powerful,

it can mean that you know the times that you do get out of the house or you have

people around to visit and you can have a conversation and a human interaction

with them rather than they come to fix the boiler or and fill your cupboards,

which could be tremendously beneficial. But the point about people's ability to

use technology is really well-made. I think we struggle in the UK for a long

time with the digital divide, it's something which a lot of governments

have talked about closing but we've never really solved and having the skills and

confidence and ability to use the internet is something that we know is you

know less well developed in the older population. A part of that is about

investing the efforts to help people get to grips with new technology and we know

that that's not about online learning, the best way to help somebody who's kind

of daunted by the internet is to sit down with them one-to-one and take them

through the basics and that's pretty labor-intensive but it ought to be done

and I also think there are some big upsides around new technologies so you

think how hard a desktop computer and a mouse is for some people to use and how

tablet computing has made that much much easier and more accessible for some people.

I think the next frontier of that is voice assistance technology and you've seen

our relatively inexpensive devices in homes which you know strip away

the kind of difficulties of interacting with technology and can be

really powerful. Clearly some privacy issues and other things that

leading to the earlier conversation but potential for real

transformative impact on people's lives as well. Okay next up Andrew so Andrew is

asking about education and careers right so he says "for non-science and tech

students what educational and career path would you advise following in order

to get into this policy area?" and I think this goes to the debate at the moment

around you know you hear a lot about digital skills, technology skills how do

you get people set for the economy of the future and there's a couple

of things that I think about this so one is it seems pretty apparent to me at

least that some basic level of understanding of the principles of

coding and computer science, not super technical but just the basics

will be important across a range of disciplines and you see it in all around

us now, even in all sorts of environments where understanding the logic,

understanding how a system was potentially set up to to work on

something is really important but also think there's you know a growing

acceptance or realisation maybe that a breadth of skills is important

and a lot of the really interesting exciting work is on the intersection of

technology and other domains. You start to see people

talk about STEM right science technology engineering mathematics and people

nowadays and talk about STEAM because they've inserted arts into there and

it's to do with the cutting edge of using technology in the creative

industries for example where it's generating all sorts of new applications

that weren't previously thought about and equally you know as technology

develops around things that machine learning and AI, there's a school of

thought that says that the important skill would be asking the right question

and interpreting the results and the machine learning will do a lot of the

heavy lifting in between where you would have had human beings writing hundreds

of thousands of lines of code and now you're training a system which is kind

of self learning and self-reinforcing but it puts a premium on being able to

ask good questions and be analytical in the answers

so I don't think there's a kind of set course to study I think that a lot of

the stuff will change rapidly over time but my sense is that you know being in

the place where you bridge disciplines will be an exciting environment to be in

in the future. Next question is from Richards so Richard says "Many

traditional trades are having to deal with complex technological systems

what you think a reappraisal of the vocational training landscape which

embraces both higher and further education to deal with technological

change should look like?" Now this whole question about education, the future of

work is something where there's lots of unknowns and a lot of debate at the

moment and certainly in the paper, we talked about the potential impact of

automation on work, the way that would change

not so much entire jobs but tasks within jobs and the impact this will have some

people need to retrain and pick up new skills, some professions may be entirely

automated others less so. I think there's a few things to think about in terms of

the training landscapes so first up is that this puts more emphasis on

technical training, vocational training, the ability for people to access those

sorts of courses and times and places and throughout their careers in ways

that suit them and those sorts of hands-on skills which enable you to get

into good productive work in a very practical way will be important right if

you're going to do training throughout your life then it has to be you know

fulfilling but also help you into a better job and a better career so it's

got to be much more focused on getting people into work. I don't think

there'll be aspects of this which become more important, so you're right to ask

about you know all sorts of systems that used to be professions and trades now

involve a lot of technology but there are other aspects of work in this

environment will be important so you're seeing increased importance of

entrepreneurial skills for example like starting and running a business,

working on a technology platform that connects a tradesperson with

customers and requires a different set of skills maybe than you would need in

the past. Also some of the relationship aspects of this say that

you know there becomes more emphasis on you know understanding customers

understanding the issues building relationship with them and less about

the mechanics of some of the tasks. I think the really hard thing in here will

be the accelerating rates of change in a professions that maybe felt stable for a

long time and now changing very quickly and if you rely on technology which is

also moving very fast then staying abreast of this I think will be the

hardest thing, you know think about how quickly a mobile phone updates and

then apply that across the board. Okay and last question here is from John and

it's good one to end on "How can technology be used to improve national

prosperity and ensure that benefits are shared fairly?" Now this is a gigantic

question and there isn't an easy answer to this but there's a few things which

we pulled out in the report which I think are really really central. So first

up is thinking about whether we've got the right infrastructure to set the

economy up for the future and a lot of that is about modern infrastructure

particular around broadband and Internet and we talked about that in the report

ensuring that works not just in cities but actually across the whole country.

Some of this is about investment in new technologies in the workplace to boost

productivity and enable and people to have more productive jobs, and the third

is ensuring that we're able to break through into new industries so the UK

certainly should be at the forefront of technologies like driverless cars or AI

in medicine but we need to push hard to make sure that we're on the cutting

edge of that and we're able to commercialise it in ways which will

benefit businesses and the wider economy and do that in a way which ensures that

everybody can participate so they need the skills, they need the access to

infrastructure and we need a good settlement around work and working lives

that ensures that you know we put all this technology to work and benefit as many

people as possible as widely as possible. Okay so that was like a fascinating set

of questions, like I say I think you know we are just the beginning of a debate

around all of this. I'm delighted that folk have been reading and engaging with the

report and would love to continue the conversation with people so

carry on sending us your comments via the hashtag which is #TBITech and you

can find us on Facebook, Twitte, Email YourViews@institute.global and

look forward to sharing more on technology policy and continuing the

conversation over the weeks and months ahead. Okay thank you.

How To Stop Coughing - 3 Natural Remedies For Cough - Duration: 10:59.

*Coughs*

Is that how you feel? Because that's what happens with the chronic cough and

there's some really neat natural remedies and natural treatments to help

people to get rid of chronic coughs. We put all the information together in the

video of what to do about coughs, some treatments you haven't heard about and

some natural things that may help you, here it is.

Hello everyone, this is about coughing, how to stop coughing and the video talks

about why we cough, what triggers a cough, how you can stop coughing. So a cough is

also known as ptosis, it's a sudden reflex that humans and many animals have

and the purpose is to clear the throat and the breathing passages of a foreign

particle, microbes, irritants fluids, and mucus, it's the rapid expulsion of air

from the lungs. Now coughing can be done deliberately or involuntarily.

Although coughing can be a sign of serious illness, more often, it will clear

up on its own without the need for medical attention but there's several

different types of cough and then I wanted to share with you my favorite and

little known way to take care of chronic coughs, of asthma and allergies and

chronic breathing problems. It's called the infraspinous respiratory reflux

which is a mouthful, we'll get to it at the end of the video. Now talking about

the different types of coughs, there's allergens from pollen, from dust, from

animal, from mold. Irritants can cause coughing like smoking, inhaling of

secondhand smoke, pollution, chemical, fumes, perfumes or air fresheners and

then medical conditions like the common cold, upper respiratory tract infections,

flu, pneumonia, whooping, cough, asthma, gastro esophageal reflux disease, sinus

infections, post nasal drip, acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, chronic

obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer and heart failure can all cause

chronic cough. Now the medications, that are frequently associated with coughs are

blood pressure medicines like ACE inhibitors or beta blockers and then

that you start talking about the different types of cough.. A dry cough

which is usually the result of a cold and a flu virus and you're coughing and

nothing really comes up and a wet or productive cough

often caused by an infection, a flu or virus where you're actually coughing up

mucus from chronic obstruction. Now some things to be aware of.. A persistent or

chronic cough is one that lasts more than three weeks, it may be caused by

heart disease, asthma, lung disease, bronchitis or whooping cough. Now a

couple different ways to treat chronic coughs.. One, I think it's really important

to support the immune system I like to use La Masia

or echinacea or garlic goldenseal. So my favorite products for immune systems

support are immuno power or microbe support, an important vitamin to take for

chronic coughs which helps to lubricate the mucosal membrane is vitamin A.

Vitamin A acts like lubrication for everything from your nose to the exit of

your body, detox therapy by getting the chronic problems out. I really like a spa

therapy, particularly a wet spa and then let's talk about the infraspinatus

respiratory reflex and a couple other natural things that help with coughs.

Now my experience with chronic cough is to reset the nerve that is associated with

the natural ptosis or the natural coughing mechanism and it's treated

through a process called the IR artery. Cough treatments that are mostly aim

at making a patient feel better and generally do not decrease the length of

the cough are things like honey, which helps to coat the throat and if it's raw

organic honey, think it has a really nice immune system effect despite what

some of the medical literature says, I think it's really really neat.

Cough medications that are associated symptoms for infection such as fever or a stuffy

nose, however, there's no compelling evidence that cough medicines actually

make your cough go away quicker and for small children, giving cough medicine can

be not very healthy. Cough suppressants that suppress the

cough reflex are generally only prescribed for a dry cough. An example of

those would be, examples those would be full codeine, dextromethorphan and

antihistamines and then expectorants are things that help to bring the mucus

up and materials from the trachea the bronchi and lungs and there are many

types of expectorants with big long names that you

look up. Now another way to help with cough medications or chronic coughs is

oxygen is the foundation of life so if we can get our lungs to improve by

eliminating the allergy or the lung condition, one of the most remarkable

therapies for respiration, for asthma, for even allergies and chronic coughs was

developed by Dr. Harry Philibert, a medical doctor down in Louisiana and he

called the technique the infraspinatus respiratory reflux.

Now the infraspinatus respiratory reflux is a neuromuscular response that is

directly linked to the most sympathetic nervous system which is involved in the

bronchial spasms that can trigger an asthma attack, it's also really effective

for coughs and that IRR is also involved in pneumonia and bronchitis pathways.

Cccording to Dr. Philibert who successfully treated thousands of

patients from suffering from asthma and other respiratory disorders and the

manipulation of the IR reflux can reverse many times, completely eliminate

chronic coughing and asthma. Now IRR therapy involves the use of propane

injections into the infraspinatus muscle which during spasms cause asthma pain

and shortness of breath, it also has an effect on that cough reflex. In acute

episodes, Dr. Philibert says that practitioners can use, in the case of

acute episodes, Dr. Philibert says practitioners can achieve complete cessation of

asthma symptoms in a single session, while the chronic cases of chronic cough

sometimes can take three to five treatments. Clinical studies of the

effectiveness of the IRR injections on a series of over 4,000 asthma patients

resulted in substantial improvements of symptoms and approximately 85%

of the patients. In addition to improvement of commonly occurring

associated shoulder pain because that nerve that controls the throat, sometimes

it's affected in shoulder conditions, approximately half of those patients

reported themselves cured after a series of objections stating that they didn't

have symptoms of the cough and the asthma and didn't require medicine.

Dr. Philibert trained enormous amount of physicians across the United States

in this technique and I want to someone that was trained in the technique and

I've seen it in practice over the last 12 years. Now the medicine that's

associated with the technique is called propane,

it's commonly referred to as the king of medicines, it's a glycol ester

of Para-aminobenzoic Acid, it was first synthesized in 1905 by a

German chemist named Alfred Einhorn and it does not have these sulfite

groups associated that novocaine or lidocaine has and therefore,

it does not cause allergic reactions sometimes associated with

novocaine. I've never seen an allergic reaction in the thousands of patients

that we've treated at the office. Procaine has been used for many years in neural

therapy is the medicine of choice for many reasons because it stabilizes the

membrane and the nerves associated with the sympathetic nervous system and mast

cells which create histamine, it's safe and it doesn't contain any preservatives

found in lidocaine or in bicane or marcaine and it has some really nice

anti-aging effects according to the Journal of Gerontology by Dr. Ana Aslan

and what it does is, it's a vasodilator, it helps to relax the smooth

muscle surrounding the blood vessels, it breaks down into pair Para-aminobenzoic Acid

and Diethylaminoethanol or DAAE and PABA seals capillaries prevents

edema, prevents capillary leakage of the red and white blood cells and is a

capillary arterial vasodilator, it's a capillary arterial vasodilator, it

stimulates vascular growth factors and vascular regeneration. Procaine is my

favorite medicine to use in the office, the second is vitamin C.

Procaine also has a really nice antidepressant effect that works as an

MAO inhibitor and inhibits serotonin, oxidation and it doesn't need to be

taken to the liver to be metabolized like lidocaine. So why does IRR work?

It removes interference filas associated with the respiratory system. According to

Dr. Peter Dose, anything that causes interference fields or focus produces a

change in the cell environment, enhancing the reactive capacity of individual

organs and of the organism as a whole. When there is a hereditary or acquired

organic predisposition, this can result in illness due to interference fields or

a foci. The interference can set off illness or pain in any part of the body

distance to the interference field with it its own local segmental

area. Now what does all of that mean? It means that if your body's in computer, we

call in tech support, tech support says to open closed and reset the system and

that's what the IRR does for the lung fields, it has a dramatic change and it

brings about immediate relief of the disease without the use of more costly

and time-consuming investigations in many conditions.

It doesn't help everybody, it helps a lot of people. Now any stress which exceeds

the limit of tolerance sets off a shock reaction in the automatic defense system

and this shock reaction is the system's defensive response, it's irrelevant if

this context, whether the stimuli is in the form of a chemical, a physical,

a bacterial or psychological irritant. The interference fields can be caused by

surgery, by vaccinations, by injection sites, by trauma, by piercing,

by inflammation, by infections, it can be by disease organs

and procaine is also used in the removal of these interference fields because of

the amazing effect that it has on the nerves. So when someone has a chronic

cough, there's multiple causes, there's multiple reasons why you have that.

Support the immune system, lubricate the mucosal membranes and reset the nerves

that control the cough fields, that's my first recommendation. Look also at some

prescriptive side effects that are unwanted or unintended side effects for

ACE inhibitors or other types of blood pressure medications.

Hey, thanks for watching our video on chronic coughs. There's a lot of things, a lot of

information that we provide that my great grandfather taught my grandfather,

my grandfather taught my dad, my dad taught me. I learned a lot of this stuff

in the trenches, not necessarily in school and my mission is to help people

achieve and maintain optimal health. So if you perceive value, like us, click on

Christopher Plummer Receives Golden Globe Nomination for Kevin Spacey Role

After replacing Kevin Spacey in the eleventh hour, Christopher Plummer has received a Golden Globe nomination for his role in All the Money in the World; Plummer is competing in the Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture category against The Florida Projects Willem Dafoe, Call Me by Your Names Armie Hammer, The Shape of Waters Richard Jenkins and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouris Sam Rockwell.

Spacey had completed filming the historical drama months before he was accused of sexual misconduct in October; director Ridley Scott recast the role of the role of J. Paul Getty in November and completed re-shooting in nine days total.

Ridleys re-shoots cost millions—but he did so with the blessing of Sony Pictures Entertainment. As promised, All the Money in the World is still on track for its Dec.

Scott received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Director, competing with Guillermo del Torro (The Shape of Water), Martin McDonagh (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk) and Steven Spielberg (The Post).

Michelle Williams, who plays Gail Harris in All the Money in the World, received a Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama nomination alongside Jessica Chastain (Mollys Game), Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water), Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) and Meryl Streep (The Post).

Spacey has denied some of the accusations against him, adding that he will seek unspecified treatment. Netflix has since fired the actor from the popular political drama House of Cards. Many in Hollywood have been distancing themselves from Spacey in recent months.

This doesnt do anything to ease the suffering of people who were all too personally affected by Kevin Spacey, but it is our little act of trying to right a wrong, Williams told Entertainment Weekly of his recasting.

And it sends a message to predators: You cant get away with this anymore. Something will be done. The actress, 37, added, Im so very proud to be a part of this; were all here for Ridley.

When this idea was hatched I immediately started to feel better. Ridley could hear the clock ticking, so he didnt waste a moment. Theres no time for pondering, he said with a smile.

Sometimes youve got to lay down the law. You have to! NBC will broadcast the 2018 Golden Globes live, coast-to-coast, on Jan. 7, 2018, at 8 p.m. ET. (E! and NBC are both members of the NBCUniversal family.

10 YouTube Comment Tricks for Growing Your Channel - Duration: 4:28.

Your community on YouTube starts and ends with those who engage with your content.

So here's 10 tips on how to get the best out of YouTube comments to help grow your channel.

The most obvious tip and perhaps the most cliched.

Read every comment.

When a viewer watches a video they commit time, when they post a comment they commit

not only more time, but invest thought, emotion, effort and hope into something that encourages

a response - just like the video you made.

You owe it to your community to make sure that comment is read.

And once they are read you should reply to as many as possible too.

The best way to view all your video comments is through the comments tab in the community

section of the video manager page.

Responding to comments creates a conversation.

It turns viewers into subscribers, maybe even fans and look at it from this point of view.

If you respond to every comment on a video you double the engagement rate which YouTube's

algorithm will respond positively to.

Of course if you get hundreds of comments a day responding to every one might be impossible

so vidIQ has two free tools that might help.

The comment filter tool allows you to filter by amount of channel subscribers.

So if you need to prioritise what you might call high value comments from channels with

lots of subscribers this is the tool for you.

We also leave a subscriber count next to each comment too.

Our second tool is a vidIQ button that sits next to every comment.

Click on it and you can create, save and use template responses.

These might be general thank yous or specific answers to questions and opinions that often

come up in your videos.

They are a real time saver but try not to overuse them.

You don't want to copy and paste every response to a comment.

As well as responding to comments you can react to them too.

You should give every positive comment a thumbs up again to boost engagement but it also acts

as a receipt that you read the comment.

For comments that go that extra mile you can use the love button.

These give real value back to the person who posted the comment because it informs them

through a notification.

Again it's all positive engagement and community building.

Now occasionally there may be a comment that add so much to a video that you want to pin

it to the top of the comments list.

These might be comments that add extra information to the video, provide a great opinion that

generates a lot of conversation or a comment from someone you collaborated with in the

video.

On the video page you can click the dots next to the comment to pin it, but thanks for vidIQ

there is a much easier and more convenient way to do it.

On the comment manager page we have added a pin button where you can pin any comment

from any video.

That will save you loads of time having to go directly to the video.

And of course this vidIQ tool is also free.

One final tip on pinned comments, you can use it yourself if you want to create a second

description box.

People don't tend to extend description boxes but they will always see a pinned comment

if they look at the comment section.

In this example we added timestamps to a long video to help viewers navigate it.

Now this tip is a little more advanced as not every YouTube channel has it, but if you

do have the community tab make sure to use it as it's super powerful.

You can post general updates, pictures, even voting polls.

Consider it Twitter, Facebook or Instagram timeline for YouTube.

Now the reason this so powerful is because of its reach.

These posts appear in mobile subscription timelines so you can get tons of engagement

from your subscribers.

As I say this is not available to all channels and it's unclear how useful this tool will

be when more YouTubers gain access to it.

The final tip we have on comments is a necessary evil but one that should be checked every

once in a while.

YouTube does a fairly good job of putting spam comments into the spam folder, but occasionally

it doesn't quite get it right and dumps valuable comments in there too.

So scan the list and recover any comments you feel shouldn't be spam.

We hope you found these tips useful and remember some of these tools do come from the free

portion of vidIQ so make sure to download it from the link in the description.

Enjoy the rest of your video making day, bye for now.
