Waching daily Dec 11 2017

What's up cannabis growers and welcome back for week 15 in the Screen of Green Grow Series.

We are now in the middle of the flowering stage, and by the end of this video you will

notice my Blue Dream plants starting to form pretty sizable buds.

They haven't completely taken over the branch just yet, but they are getting close.

In this video I'll be flushing these plants out really well and will cover the nutrient

feeding for the week also.

At this point you should start to notice your colas are connecting down each branch and

aren't a bunch of tiny buds.

At the end of the video I will also give you a shot of the trichomes on these plants up

close so we can see how they are and where they've developed since we first looked.

Alright, now lets get started with day 1 of the week which will be an update on the growth

of my blue dream buds.

We're having another foggy day hear in northern California so that's why I've got the

lights on during the day providing some extra light.

You should be able to notice a huge difference in the size of these buds since the last video

as the are larger and much more frosty on top.

The smell is also extremely potent at this point and is noticeable from outside of the

grow tent since I am not using a carbon filter.

You can see all of the white hairs have curled in and the buds are focusing on fattening

up below the tops.

This is the next day, and I will be doing a sledgehammer flush just to clean out the

soil before the next nutrient feeding.

This helps prevent a build up of nutrients in the soil as well as any issues that would

cause.

You should mix 2 tsp per gallon of water and half a tsp of coco wet per gallon, and then

pH as usual.

Now you are ready to flush your plants.

Really flush them out good by providing enough water to get 15-20% runoff out of the bottom.

At this point I am providing almost a gallon of mix per plant to get the right amount of

runoff.

You can see the SCROG has done a nice job of keeping the branches at equal height even

after I stopped training them.

It is also easier to see how big the buds have become when looking at them from this

side view.

From an aerial view you can see they are getting extremely dense with trichomes and the hairs

have curled down towards the bud.

Here's a closeup of the tallest branch in the tent, and you can see there are still

individual buds growing down the trunk that have yet to connect.

That is ok because this is a taller branch so it needs more time to grow.

You can see for the most part all of the buds are right at the same stage of growth and

are all growing equal in size which is great.

There are no stragglers either or branches that fall outside of the grow lights footprint

so that is another plus!

The plants are ready for their next watering and it's time to feed them their nutrients

for the week.

I am doing the week 11 mix on the fox farm dirty dozen feeding chart and then I add half

a tsp of coco wet and 1 tsp of cal mag per gallon of water.

Once everything has been stirred I pH to 5.8 and water the plants.

Now you can see how big these buds are getting and that means they need more water to get

even bigger.

I'm going to be feeding each plant close to an entire gallon as this thorough watering

will really make a difference with increasing the size of the buds.

Another day later and here is a shot of the plants without the lights on.

It's harder to see the buds as the leaves cover them up more easily in this lighting,

but when you get up close it's easier to see how frosty and dense with trichomes they

have become.

Underneath, there isn't any vegetative growth going on that needs to be trimmed away and

all of the branches look nice and healthy so I'll leave this area alone.

This is one of the last days of the week and the plants are ready for a plain pHd watering.

These waterings are always easy as all you have to do is pH the water and then you're

ready to go.

This shot is from earlier in the grow, but with where my plants are actually at, I am

providing each plant with a full gallon of water.

Don't feed the entire gallon all at once though, you want to let it soak in a quarter

gallon at a time so the plant gets more use from it.

Here's the shot of the trichomes up close and you can see they are no longer clear for

the most part.

Instead they have become milky in color which means they are closer to being ready for harvest!

Once about 10% of the trichomes have turned amber, you will be ready to start your flush.

But I will give you more details on that once it is time for that step.

Right now you should just look and see what the trichomes on here look like so you can

start to tell the difference between clear and cloudy.

It can be difficult to tell at first.

This is the last day of the week and you can see the white pistils are actually starting

to turn orange which is another sign of maturity.

Eventually all of the hairs will be orange and curled inwards, and that will be right

around the time these are ready for harvest usually.

Right now, temperature is a little low in this grow room as it should be closer to 75

degrees Fahrenheit.

I'll just turn up the heater in here and that will help fix that issue.

While a few degrees may seem like not a big difference, when it comes to growing cannabis

it can make the worlds a difference so always monitor temperature and humidity in your grow

room.

Underneath the SCROG everything is still nice and healthy so no need to do anything down

here, but it is always good to keep an eye on this part of your plants.

If an issue does arise, you want to catch it as early on as possible to prevent any

severe damage.

Alright folks, that concludes week 15 of the Screen of Green Grow series by GreenBox Grown,

and that was also week 7 of flower.

There are only a few more weeks to go in this grow series but there is still a lot more

bud growth that will happen before harvest and I will be back with more of that in next

weeks video.

If you enjoyed this video please give it a thumbs up and comment below with your feedback.

Also don't forget to subscribe to the GreenBox Grown channel and to turn on notifications

Liverpool news: Why Jurgen Klopp is to blame for Everton draw - Alan Stubbs - Duration: 2:42.

Liverpool news: Why Jurgen Klopp is to blame for Everton draw - Alan Stubbs

That's the view of former Everton star Alan Stubbs. Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw at Anfield yesterday afternoon as Wayne Rooney's penalty cancelled out Mohamed Salah's opener.

While Klopp was angry at the penalty decision, many pundits and fans criticised the German for his team selection.

He rested the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino as he handed Dominic Solanke the opportunity to lead the line in the Merseyside derby.

And Stubbs feels it was a decision that ultimately gave the Toffees a better chance of getting a result. GETTY.

honestly think with those players [Coutinho and Firmino] on the pitch it would have been really hard for Everton to get a result Alan Stubbs.

"I would have been delighted when I saw Liverpool's team yesterday. It's not to say that it was a considerably weaker team, but when you don't play your best players in a derby…" Stubbs told talkSPORT.

"A lot of Liverpool fans would have turned up to the game thinking, 'what's he doing'? This is a derby, it's not just another game, and I think foreign coaches sometimes don't get it as much.

He's got only himself to blame really. "I honestly think with those players [Coutinho and Firmino] on the pitch it would have been really hard for Everton to get a result.

"No disrespect to [Dominic] Solanke but, if you put Coutinho up there, as a defender you're thinking, 'oh, no'. The movement is completely different, the link-up play is different, the speed is different.

"Klopp has got to hold his hands up, and I think he did that after the game.

When he was questioned about his team selection he said, 'I appreciate that, that's my department, I'll take it [the criticism] if that's the case', but he certainly looked a frustrated man. "And he's got only himself to blame."  .

Juan Mata: No time for Man Utd to mourn derby defeat - Duration: 2:20.

Juan Mata: No time for Man Utd to mourn derby defeat

Manchester United have to quickly move on from their derby defeat to City if they are to keep their slim Premier League title hopes alive, says Juan Mata.

United suffered their first Premier League defeat at home since Citys last visit in September 2016, with Jose Mourinhos side beaten 2-1 on Sunday.

Despite the painful defeat, Mata says it is important United bounce back with games against Bournemouth and West Brom in the coming week.

Writing in his , Mata said: Unfortunately, we couldnt finish the week as we expected since the derby at Old Trafford didnt work out as we wanted.

City took the lead, we tied the score before the break but, in the second half, we couldnt overcome their second goal.

We were close, but in the chances we had, the ball just didnt go in.

The truth is these are three points like in any other game, although the defeat is painful because it was a derby.

We must carry on, knowing that theres still a long way to go.

The calendar gives you no time for mourning and we have to focus on whats next.

The list of fixtures is very demanding this month so its important to get to each game in the best condition possible.

I think we have the ability to do it, even though we know these are the toughest weeks of the season.

We are Manchester United and we have experience in playing every few days..

Tea Gadgets for Presents! - Duration: 6:59.

Hi! Jenny here with Sipping Streams Tea Company for another Thirsty Thursday

and today I want to talk about how you can make loose leaf tea.

Now there are tons of gadgets and filters, and tea travel mugs, defusers, steepers

(actually, they are not called defusers, but the infusers)

and some people are just like "I don't know how to make loose tea! How do I get started?"

Well, there are many different options out there and today I want to show you 2

very simple options that any one can get most of the time they're, like,

in the grocery store in the cooking section

because some people use them for spices and they want to boil spices

or cook with it, make sauces: things like that, but

the traditional way of making tea (or, the very common way of making tea -

not the traditional way). The traditional way is totally different

in the tea ceremony way. It's the tea ball! And most of you have seen these before.

And its this little ball that you can put sure loose leaf tea in, or your spices!

And some people like to use spices,

especially around the Holidays for mulling spices, and cider, and things like that.

So a lot of you are starting to get into loose leaf tea and so have asked,

"Like, how do I make loose tea? Is it very complicated?"

No, it's not very complicated!

Anything that can strain out the tea can make your loose leaf tea!

And so this is essentially just a mini strainer.

That's it! You could use a colander if you needed to:

just something to strain out your tea or you could just leave the tea leaves in there!

It's OK. If you ate the tea leaves, you get all the health benefits from it, actually,

like Matcha. So, when you're just drinking the broth of the tea you will never get

100% of the health benefits, but if you consume the whole leaf,

like in Matcha, you do get 100% of the health benefits.

Leaves will not poison you, they will not make you sick, they're, you know,

if you have digestive issues and you can't swallow things that aren't liquid, then you might have a problem.

And then another one of my favorite gadgets - and this is a great Holiday gift -

is the tea stick!

This is, probably, one of our most popular items.

And so you just slide it, scoop your tea leaves, close it and you can stir it if you want. All in one! Super slim!

Never will lose the pieces because, well, because it can't mop: it's just stuck on the right.

I think the only way you could really damage it is if you can somehow melt it or run it over with a car.

So, I'll show you 2 different ways of how to make a loose leaf tea.

So the tea ball way: the traditional, old-fashioned tea ball way.

I honestly don't like tea balls, but some people like them, because they can put them in their

coffee cup, or tea travel mug, or, you know, to take it with them to work.

I don't like them because there's too many moving parts. That's where you can possibly have things break

eventually, over time. So, anyway, that's a tea ball. And, typically, you just want to put

about tea spoon of tea leaves (and I also have Gunpowder Green tea today). And just

you can just scoop your tea... No, do not fill your tea infuser up all the way, because if you do

it's not going to expand and you're not going to be able to get the true flavor

*One second, my dogs are making loud noise!*

OK! So then you just close it up and, you notice:

this is not filled all the way! It's only filled, like, part way (one tea spoon/ cup of water!)

One tea spoon/ 8 ounces of hot water. More tea is not better tea!

In fact, that's very bitter tea!

So just put it in your cup (or, mug)

*just showing you with a glass cup of Yukon Quest*

and just pouring hot water...

And some people like the tea balls because they can sit on the bottom of their cups

and you can just have the chain hanging over the edge of it

and then your tea ball is good to go! Just wait appropriate amount of time!

I don't know if you can see, but there's actually particles moving around in there.

So, it's infusing right now!

And you can never really judge the true flavor of tea by the color, because

color can change: like, lighting, time, temperature! So many different issues!

So, just because it doesn't have the color you are hoping for, it does not mean

it has a bad flavor! Because, remember, with good quality tea you can resteep up to 4 times!

They usually get better the second or the 3d time that you resteep them!

Now with the tea stick, which is, like, my favorite... (actually, I don't own one of these,

because, I just have a tea travel mug for everything!)

So you slide it open, you got your loose leaf tea jar. You scoop it

(so, it's like a spoon: it measures it for you!)

and then you close it

*I usualy don't fill this*

And then you can just put it in your favorite mug (or, cup),

my Halibut and Salmon mug...

I love fishing and so, to show you my glass mug.

And it's all in water. So, you can just stir it...

And it just seems over the edge, it fits in your purse, or bag,

super portable, super light, super durable

and nothing is liking out the holes, because they're really, really

fine holes! So yeh, these are some great options on how to make

your loose leaf tea! These are different infusers, steepers

that are very small and portable: great for a Holiday gift right now,

because you can send them in the mail! And very small and light!

And it is a very great option for when you want to get started

with loose leaf tea that's super simple and low maintenance!

So, if you know anyone who would really benefit

from this video or you have any topics that you

want me to cover: please, write them down below

How Meghan bucked tradition by shunning tights for the announcement of her engagement to Harry - Duration: 4:19.

Already a royal rebel! How Meghan bucked tradition by shunning tights for the announcement of her engagement to Prince Harry (but should she have dared to go bare?)

The eyes of the world were on Meghan Markle as she and Prince Harry announced their engagement on Monday.

And while the 36-year-old bride-to-be was both stylish and demure in a white wrap coat over a green dress that fell to below the knee, she made one fashion choice that echoed the more modern ensembles of her days on the red carpet.

The tell-tale satin sheen of the nude tights favoured by the Duchess of Cambridge - and a generation of royal women before her - was nowhere to be seen, as Meghan braved winter temperatures to keep her legs bare.

The Cut described an unspoken rule among royals dictating that women always wear hosiery, suggesting it was a small but significant act of style rebellion on the part of the actress.

While many women reach for nude tights in the colder months to mask skin that hasnt seen the sun for a while, Meghans mixed race heritage means she has no need to fear the dreaded pasty legs.

But traditionalists might argue that bare legs have no place at any formal occasion - and certainly not one taking place in November.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their hotly-anticipated engagement at Kensington Palace on Monday

When Kate and Prince William announced their engagement in 2011, the Duchess opted to wear a blue wrap Issa dress, nude tights and closed-toe shoes

Meghan showed off her toned calves in her white coat and green knee-length dress and nude shoes

Back in 2011 when Kate and William announced their engagement, the royal wore nude tights, in contrast to Meghans more laidback approach.

The Queen, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Countess of Wessex are never seen without sheer stockings and closed-toe shoes, and even fashion-conscious Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie often comply.

Although Kate occasionally faced accusations of being frumpy as a result of her dated taste in hosiery, according to WWD she helped increase sales of nude tights at ASDA by 500 per cent back when she and William became engaged.

Sales rose by 46 per cent at Selfridges and Wolfords also reported at the time their stock was selling out thanks to the royal.

Year on, the Meghan effect is already in full swing, as her green engagement dress sold out and a website selling a similar version of her white coat crashed in the wake of her photocall with her husband-to-be.

The same happened to the Duchess of Cambridge when she donned the now-iconic blue wrap dress by London label Issa for her first interview with Prince William - the frock immediately began to fly off the shelves.

It remains to be seen whether Meghan, often seen in daring dresses at red carpet events in the days before she began dating Harry, will further adapt her fashion choices when she becomes a full-time royal.

Meghans style has already begun to evolve since dating the Prince but will she be following Kates footsteps and donning nude hosiery

Meghan was the picture of elegance as she stood beside Prince Harry in a white wrap coat, green dress and nude strapped sandals

Kates wardrobe staple has always been nude tights, adhering to the royal tradition of stocking and closed-toe shoes
