Waching daily Dec 10 2017

What is going on snipers 90-mile baby here, hope all of you guys are having a wonderful day today

Let's go ahead and dive right into our daily cryptocurrency content for today

I pretty much get this question every single day at least once a day and Nayeem

How do you set up your alerts for your Bitcoin pricing?

What is your strategy with that and I want to talk about that and cover that today? If you guys aren't using alerts?

I highly encourage you to do so as a trader of course legally can't give you guys financial advice

But if I was trading in the cryptocurrency

market

I Would highly highly encourage you guys to set up alerts for your trades because alerts allow you to be proactive and aware

and if you're not setting up alerts it typically means you're not using strategy and

Going into the market and not utilizing a strategy is a really good way to lose a lot of money

So I'm gonna start this series. Hope you guys enjoy this talking about trading tips and stuff

I know you guys enjoy that content for me, but before we start

Let's go ahead and just quickly give away $100 every single day

We give away $100 on our channel all you have to do is be subscribed have your post notifications on

Like this video and then lastly answer the thought-provoking question at the end of this video

I'm gonna choose our $100 giveaway from yesterday's video and by the way

I'm gonna be posting this on Instagram if you're not following us on Instagram

go to the link in the description follow us on Instagram and

You can go ahead and see if you want our giveaway

If that's you go ahead and send me a message on Instagram you can claim your $100

So let's go ahead and just kind of talk about price alerts, and why you want to utilize that in the Bitcoin trading market

So pretty much with this market. It's extremely volatile so what you're looking to do here is set up a strategy so for example

I'm on a 5-minute chart here. Let's say I was day trading Bitcoin right now, and I was working off the support level

That's built here

You see two supports here around 14 eight nine and then fourteen seven fifty seven

So let's say this was a support level right now that I was actually trading on

what I would want to do at this point is set up an alert a

percentage down just in case

Prices decrease and then percentage up just in case prices increase to indicate when I can sell so for example

Let's say we see that we see some resistance up here around what?

15501 we could say we can assume here, let's say I was swing trading this for the short-term five-minute chart

We could say we can say here. I can put in a position

Right here at the support level. This is very big. You know don't criticize. This is a very basic strategy

I probably wouldn't use this typically in the real world, but I just want to show you guys alert strategies here

So let's say I was to trade here a 14-8 and then sell around 15 for 20 right before

Previous resistance levels what I would want to do is set up an alert right?

over here where I want to trade so I would set up an alert at 15 4 5 3 and then I'll set up an

alert here at 15

4 8 7 and this is just in case

The price hits either point I know when to buy and sell and for my sell order I would more than likely

Set this price right above the actual

support level so that I'm aware of

Exactly when that's approaching especially if I just put in a position of course

I would only put in position if RSI and MACD levels were correct and obviously utilizing my strategy here

But what I would not show you guys here if you guys use trading view the free version allows you to set up one free

Alert, so you go here. It's trading view calm. I'll put the link in the description below

You can click Add alert here, and you only have one

With the paid version you have multiple alerts, I think 10 for the first premium upgrade

But what you guys can do is use this website called coin wing and I've actually used this website before

And it allows you to send email and SMS alerts

I wouldn't recommend

SMS alerts because the SMS alerts are a little bit harder to utilize you have to actually have a phone API system set up

But for the email alert so what I would recommend

See the biggest thing with email alerts most of us don't get our emails notified on our phones at least me

I don't I because I get so many emails, but what you'll want to do is create a new email

So I would go on Gmail or any one of those email platforms create an email

Specifically for price alerts and you can set up as many of these as alerts as you want for free

And then use that email, let's say my email was trading alerts

snipers at gmail.com

So if this was my email that I'm using

specifically for alerts

That all of these alerts will come straight to that email and what I would do on my phone is set up a specific

Notification with push notification so that it instantly goes on my phone as soon as that alert happens

And I would set up like a really crazy ringtone based upon that one

So that as soon as that happens I can go ahead and see that I got a price

indicator here

and then I can make my trade whatever that whether that's me selling or buy or

Maybe you want to just set up price alerts for different reasons or maybe when you want to get into your position however you want

To utilize this so then go ahead and put alert when prices above let's say

In this case if we were going to trade this then we could say alert when price is gonna be above

Let's say fifteen four three nine so fifteen four three nine, and then when price is below

Let's say fourteen eight seven four I would like to know that

As well and then this utilizes a specific price points an average of most exchanges as price points

And that's typically what its utilizing and it's based on coin market cap so this is using coin market caps

Price indicators, so um that's pretty much what I do with these alerts typically

I also set up stop-loss orders as well if you guys aren't utilizing that I would highly recommend that but start with alerts

That's pretty much the most basic way to set up a stop-loss

I guess but if you guys don't have that ability on your exchange

I know a lot of exchanges don't have that like Gemini for example

So this is a good way to still utilize an alert to make sure that you're not losing out on profits

So hopefully this tutorial helped out a little bit. I'm gonna be doing more advanced tutorials as time progresses

I just want to start slow with you guys make sure you guys have a complete understanding of the basics

but that's it for today guys through our thought-provoking question for today's gonna be pretty simple and that's

What do you see the benefit of using stop-loss orders or even using price alerts in Bitcoin trading?

Where's the benefit for you? Do you even see that as a benefit, or do you see that as more of a hindrance?

Just let us know in the comments below most likely gonna be a benefit

There's not really a hindrance to it at all if you're a knowledgeable trader, but with that being said guys

Thank you so much for watching this video

Hopefully this helped out for some of you guys that wanted to get this question answered and until next time guys snipers out

5 Best Hormones Responsible For Weight Gain In Women - How Women Can Gain Weight

One guy Roy land which is present at the base of your neck produces three hormones t3

t4 and calcitonin these hormones regulate metabolism

sleep heart rate growth brain development etc

sometimes the thyroid gland under produces the thyroid hormone leading to

hypothyroidism

Hypothyroidism is often associated with weight gain depression

constipation fatigue high blood cholesterol slow heart rate etc there are many causes of

Hypothyroidism such as gluten intolerance

malnutrition environmental toxins etc in fact

hypothyroidism leads to water

Accumulation and not that that makes you look glum you will gain

510 pounds more if your weight gain is only due to thyroid imbalance

to

insulin

Insulin is a hormone secreted by the pancreas

Which helps to carry the glucose into the cells to be used as energy or to store them as fat

This helps maintain the glucose levels in the blood

over consuming processed foods alcohol

Artificially sweetened drinks and snacking on unhealthy foods or even consuming too many fruits can lead to insulin resistance

In this case the muscle cells are not able to recognize

glucose bound insulin and therefore glucose remains in the bloodstream causing a spike in blood sugar

levels this finally leads to weight gain and type 2 diabetes

3

leptin

Under normal conditions the hormone leptin signals that you are full and should stop eating

but due to

Overconsumption of foods that are high in sugar content such as candies

chocolates fruits that are modified to contain a lot more fructose and

Processed foods the oversupply of fructose is converted to fat that gets deposited in liver

belly and other regions of the body

Now fat cells secrete leptin as you keep consuming more fructose

Containing foods more fat gets accumulated and more leptin is secreted this in turn

desensitizes the body to leptin and the brain stops receiving the signal to stop eating this ultimately leads to weight gain or

Berlin

Popularly known as the hunger hormone

Care line helps stimulate appetite and increases fat deposition it is secreted by the stomach

Mainly a small amount of girl line is also secreted by the small intestine

brain and pancreas

higher levels of Beuerlein in the bloodstream may lead to weight gain and obese people are more sensitive to this hormone in

Fact their line levels are also high when people are on a strict diet or while fasting?

6

cortisol

Cortisol is a steroid hormone produced by the adrenal glands. It is mainly secreted when you are stressed depressed anxious

Nervous and great physically injured etc the two primary functions of cortisol are energy regulation and energy

Mobilization let me explain

cortisol regulates energy by deciding

Which type of energy carb protein or fat is required by the body to do a certain function?

Curtis all helps to mobilize energy by transporting fats from fat reserves to the hungry cells or working muscles

Basically cortisol is needed to handle short-term stress mental physical real or imagined response

But due to poor lifestyle choices and bad eating habits your body can be in a constant state of stress

This leads to an increased secretion of cortisol that makes the body

hyperinsulinemic increases visceral fat and stimulates the maturation of fat cells Asian of fat cells

Linux Tutorial For Beginners |9|Install Software with APT apt get - Duration: 5:54.

already houses welcome back in in this video I'm going to show you how to

install stuff using the advanced package tool other words apt so whenever you're

you know working on the server from the terminal a remote location

you just can't open up a browser go to whatever website that you know has

something you want to install and click some big button because on this terminal

is pretty simple

so what linux that is they include this tool called apt again like I said

advanced package shore and this is pretty much they're built in software

installer

so using this tool we can install packages or whatever we want from the

internet

now before we even start using this tool it's always a good idea to make sure

that it's up to date

so if you use s you do and I know I didn't talk to you guys about users but

actually talk to you guys about that in the next video

but this allows us to run this tool with administrator privileges

just think of it like that it actually stands for super user do so what I want

to do as a superuser well let's just say apt-get which is the tool we want to use

but right now we just want to update it so we're not you know

downloading like any like Java or PHP or anything like that

where is updating this tool right now so let it do its thing

oh just a dumb whenever i was editing my last video i had a big bowl of ice cream

and apparently

well it was delicious let's just say that all right so let me just clear all

that stuff out in before you start installing crap on your computer

you probably want to make sure that you don't already have installed so say that

I wanted to install java on this computer

well first I'm going to just write Java - version now since this is already

installed it's going to say ok this is what version of Java you have if you

don't have installed let's say on

I don't have php5 installed it's going to say i'm currently not installed and

it gives you a little hint of how you can install it but that

that's how you can check if you already have stuff installed on your computer

so let's just go ahead and no install arm

sudo apt-get install PHP 5

so in other words make sure you're running this with superuser privileges

apt-get install in the name leader package and you just have to know the

name of it

go online and find it on you know there's not like a big app store for all

of linux so hit enter and it's going to say ok this package is going to take up

this much amount of memory

are you cool that yes go ahead do your thing

don't don't don't don't don't

mm-hmm ok this is stolen and are right that pause the video i don't think you

guys wanted to see just wait there and see the entire installation but that's

all it is

sudo apt-get install and whatever package name is that you want to install

now another question that people have is like to show you guys with someone asked

me on my form

so they went online and they downloaded pycharm and they had installed on their

computer but they weren't exactly sure how to run it

so after they ran it and they're just using a boot to desktop

they had a folder like this there's pycharm community and inside here

I'm okay try click on that but that's a ping

so how the heck do I run this thing

well in order to run shell scripts or arm in this only applies if your program

is set up this way but there are some times where you need to run a shell

script to kick off your program

so in order to do that

show you guys how to do that real quick art so we just want to write CD so we

make sure that we're in our home directory and then we're going to

navigate to wherever the script is that we want to run and if you download a

program from the internet that set up this way they're going to say that this

is where the file is this is where the program is that you need to run so they

said that it was in pie chart community whatever whatever whatever

in the directory called been now if I just write LS we can see that

hi charmed Sh this stands for shell script and it's just some a program that

you can run from the terminal but basically in order to run this

what he needed to do is hear you wanted to write bash

pycharm . SH it's pretty much means run the dish a shell script

that's it hit enter and then it's going to kick off

so there you go this is going to take a little while to open and that's just

because that this is a pretty big program and again on your not going to

be home to do this

like if you're have a remote connection to some server because this is a you

know a GUI program with the interface this is just for desktop but that's how

you do it but I yeah that is how you install stuff using apt and also how you

can download desktop programs and run their shell scripts a bunch of random

information but there you go

thanks for watching see you next time

5 Fantastic Exercises for Glutes with an Exercise Ball - Canada 365 - Duration: 9:57.

5 Fantastic Exercises for Glutes with an Exercise Ball

Getting firm, toned glutes is what many women want.

But unfortunately, this doesnt happen overnight.

It requires a lot of physical and dietary effort to get the look you want.

This means a raised, voluminous rear end that makes your figure more attractive.

However, its not necessary to limit your work out routine to the machines at the gym or exercises that are difficult to do.

In fact, with a simple yoga ball, also called a fit ball, you can do a whole regimen of exercises.

These exercises will work out this part of your body in the comfort of your own home.

In this article, we want to share 5 good options.

This way you can start fighting for the glutes that you want without any excuse.

Do it!.

Exercises for Glutes with an Exercise Ball.

Squats against the wall.

Squats are a well-rounded exercise for strengthening and toning the muscles in your legs and glutes.

Doing this jumpstarts your metabolism and helps to fight an excess of fat.

This is especially true of the fat that usually gets stored in this part of your body.

How do you do them?.

Put the ball between the wall and the middle of your back, just above your hips.

Be sure that your feet stay shoulder length apart and your back is straight.

Then, slightly bend your knees and lower your hips as if you were going to sit.

When squatting.

Dont let your knees go past the balls of your feet.

Return to the beginning position and do four sets of fifteen reps.

Squats with one leg.

Staying in the previous posture, were going to increase the intensity of the squats.

To do this, were going to work one leg first and then the other.

How do you do it?.

With the ball against the wall and the middle of your back raise your right foot and stretch it forward.

This way, when you go down, it will stay almost in line with your knee.

Concentrate on maintaining your balance.

Slowly go down to do the squat with only one legs support.

Make sure your hips stay inline.

This is because all of your weight falls on one single leg.

Return to the original position with your leg stretched out and do fifteen repetitions.

Then, switch legs and repeat the exercise.

Pelvic elevation.

The advantage of this exercise is it doesnt just strengthen your glutes.

It also works your abdomen and lumbar area.

How do you do it?.

Lay down face up on a mat.

Put the ball under your calves.

Keep your arms at your side.

Flexing your abdomen and glutes, raise your hips towards the ceiling.

After getting them as high as you can, bend your knees and bring your feet towards your glutes to use your knees.

Stretch your legs out again, lower your hips, and return to the starting position.

Do three sets with fifteen repetitions for each one.

Backwards kick.

Similar to traditional thrusts, this exercise strengthens your hips, glutes, and legs.

In this case, youll support your leg on the ball to make the downward motion easier.

How do you do it?.

With the ball behind your body, keeping your back straight, and with your hands at the sides of your hip, put the balls of your right foot up Focus the force on your abdomen and glutes.

And, without losing your balance, give a backward kick while flexing your other leg.

Return to the original position.

Do fifteen repetitions with each leg.

Contralaterals with a ball.

Using a ball when doing contralaterals is perfect for strengthening the muscles in your glutes.

And, it also increases your resistance and balance.

How do you do it?.

Lay your chest and abdomen on top of the ball.

Support yourself on the floor with your left leg and right arm.

Raise your right leg and left arm at the same time.

Try to raise them as much as possible.

Keep them up for 3 seconds.

Then, return to the original position.

Do ten repetitions. Then, change sides.

Do three sets.

After you get more resistance, increase the number of repetitions you do.

Are you ready to try it? If you dont have a lot of time to exercise, use this easy routine with a ball.

Make your routine different and fun.

Keep in mind that the results might not be immediate.

But, as the weeks pass, youll start to feel the changes both in your muscles and your resistance.

P!nk's Advice for Her Daughter | Cosmopolitan - Duration: 2:05.

I want her to have, like a, instead of, "What would Jesus do?"

like, "What would my mom do?"

Welcome to my house!

I am P!nk and here are some lessons I hope to be able to teach my daughter… even if

I have to beat them into her head.

She said to me the other day, "How many boys can I have at once?"

And I said, "Excuse me?"

I said, "Probably none of them, because they won't deserve you."

They have to be kind, respectful.

They have to be chivalrous.

They have to be good to their moms.

They have to be good looking.

They have to be funny.

She said, "I know a boy that meets all those categories."

When I was growing up, it was, "Just say no!

Just say no! just say no, kids."

Just be educated.

Just know what you're doing.

Know exactly what you're doing.

I had a boyfriend when I was younger, and he wanted me to have sex with him… but I

didn't wanna have sex with him.

So, he would call me and tell me, "Well, this person would have sex with me, and these

people are having sex.

If you don't have sex with me, I'm gonna break up with you."

And I said, "no!"

I said that's not the way this is going down, I'll do it when I want to.

That guy was an asshole and I'm glad I didn't have sex with him.

Another very important thing that I tell my daughter is that it's way more fun to be weird, and

it's very boring to be normal.

There's no success without failure, and so I just want her to try as many things as

possible.

And when she finds the things that she loves, no matter what it is, I'll support her in it

because my parents did that for me.

I have a rule with Willow that we don't say mean things and we don't say things

we don't mean.

I do tell her that words are powerful.

I try to watch how I talk about myself around her and I remind her of her words as she's

using them.

I want her to speak her truth and I want her to practice doing it now with me so that she'll

be good at it later.

I think it's one of the most helpful things to remember in life is to be true to yourself.

And there's a thousand things I want her to know before she's 20!

She's already a really strong little.. fucker.

At the end of the day, I'm gonna love her no matter what.

Linux Tutorial For Beginners |8|Compress and Extract tar and gz Files - Duration: 5:16.

ra houses welcome back and in this video I'm going to show you how to compress

and decompress files and also directories so you know whenever you're

just working with the windows

if you have a file that you want to compress or maybe have a zip file that

you want to extract you can just right click it and then you menu pops up and

you're like extract all

well that works great on Windows but from the command line

we don't have that luxury we just can't you know right click something and have

a menu pop up

so whenever you're working on a server from a remote location

you need to learn how to do from the command line and this is first let me

show you guys how to just compress a single txt file in these files that are

not special just you know added some random you know crap like this at home

nothing important so let's just go ahead and compress this one grocery list

so the program is called gzip and then after this just like the name of the

file really simple

now if you start typing grocery list and hit tab it's going to pop up

and another thing i want to point out is this so whenever you have a file name

and it has a space in it such as grocery list

well usually whenever you're running commands from the terminal

whenever you have a space it means do something else either at a you know

additional parameter or maybe I'm you know a new file name or a new program

well now we just saying arm

no this is just one file there's just a space in it so that's why whenever i

start typing it added this backslash because the backslash tells boo - hey

whatever character comes after this then just Rita as the space and not you know

a new command

so there you go if i hit enter check out what happens

it takes grocery list and it compresses it into a jeezy or compressed file

so if you ever want to extract it or decompress it then we can use is

gunzip now whenever you use guns up remember since this is a compressed file

it has the . Jeezy extension so don't forget that and you can just hit enter

and it decompresses it boom roasted

now a lot of people don't really care about doing this with a single file but

they use it for multiple files

so say for example I wanted to send this to someone over the internet but it was

too big so i need to take both of these and compress them into a single tar file

and the tar file is kind of like the equivalent of a zip file for windows

so what I do in this case is typed are and whether F to pop down there

CBF in what these parameters mean right here are our break it down into you know

see first

so C means create mode so we're going to create something about the new v means

display the output in the terminal

so once this is done in the command is r and then I mean I was just going to give

us a little notification of what it did you can leave it out if you want if you

don't want to see anything but you know I like to verify that the program work

successfully so there you go

and this F these are just the file options so the arguments that come after

this on

well show you guys what what they are right now so the first thing is hey

you're taking these and you're putting them into a news if I what's the name of

the zip AKA tar file or just a moment like arm

uh lucky . r and that says okay so this is the tar file now what do you want to

add to it well i'm just going to add grocery list and also favorite movies

so you basically right thar c ZF

what do you want the name of your turf I'll to be and what files do you want to

compress and stick in it

well it's going to go through and boom look at that

so if you ever want to extract it or unzip it

you guys may be more familiar with that term you just use tar ex BF remember see

this is pretty much the same thing is when we compress them over extracting it

the only thing different is this X so X means extract see means create a file X

means extracted so

they really easy to remember and you just write the name of whatever you're

trying to extract you don't need the files inside and boom

check it out so since they're already you know i already had them on my

desktop

you guys probably I you know didn't notice on flashing real quick but they

were extracted guys just have to trust me i guess so anyways that is how you

compress and decompress individual files and also how you compress and decompress

multiple files into at our directory then guys for watching see you next time

Trump Bashes WashPost Reporter for Tweet on Florida Rally Crowd Size-ENews - Duration: 2:42.

Trump Bashes WashPost Reporter for Tweet on Florida Rally Crowd Size

President Donald Trump on Saturday ripped reporter Dave Weigel of The Washington Post for posting a phony photo of an empty arena in Florida Friday before he arrived to speak at a rally where he endorsed Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore.

But Trumps tweet prompted Weigel to delete his bad tweet on my personal account and apologize, saying the president was very fair to call me out.

.@DaveWeigel @WashingtonPost put out a phony photo of an empty arena hours before I arrived @ the venue, w/ thousands of people outside, on their way in. Real photos now shown as I spoke.

Packed house, many people unable to get in. Demand apology & retraction from FAKE NEWS WaPo! pic.twitter.com/XAblFGh1ob — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 9, 2017.

Trump spoke at the Pensacola Bay Center, about an hour from Mobile, Alabama, and called on supporters to back Moore. America cannot afford to let the Senate seat fall to Democrats, he said.

Moore, a 70-year-old Republican, is facing sexual assault allegations from several women who said they occurred when they were in their teens and Moore in his 30s. Minutes after President Trumps tweet, Weigel responded with these posts:.

Sure thing: I apologize. I deleted the photo after @dmartosko told me Id gotten it wrong. Was confused by the image of you walking in the bottom right corner. https://t.co/fQY7GMNSaD — Dave Weigel (@daveweigel) December 9, 2017.

It was a bad tweet on my personal account, not a story for Washington Post. I deleted it after like 20 minutes.

Very fair to call me out.   Everything I say on Twitter is a joke, except what I say about @swin24. https://t.co/tI7SQnpoN9 — Dave Weigel (@daveweigel) December 9, 2017.

Weigel noted that he deleted the tweet after being told by David Martosko, U.S. political editor of The Daily Mail, that he had gotten it wrong.. Martosko tweeted himself Friday about the Pensacola crowd:.

Im estimating 13,500 attendance tonight at Trumps Pensacola rally. Official venue capacity is 12,000 (which was about 90% full) but that also doesnt include the floor at all. — David Martosko (@dmartosko) December 9, 2017.

Earlier Saturday, Trump slammed CNN for its vicious and purposeful mistake in its Friday report about Donald Trump Jr. Trump later posted that Weigel should be fired:.

.@daveweigel of the Washington Post just admitted that his picture was a FAKE (fraud?) showing an almost empty arena last night for my speech in Pensacola when, in fact, he knew the arena was packed (as shown also on T.V.).

FAKE NEWS, he should be fired. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 9, 2017.

Linux Tutorial For Beginners |6|File Permissions - Duration: 10:46.

alright guys welcome back in in this video I want to talk to you about file

permissions in Linux

now I'll admit right now that this takes a little bit of time getting used to but

it is definitely worth it

one of the most important concepts in Linux

so let me show you what the heck I'm talking about so I'm just going to list

the contents of this directory so we have some files look at now whenever

you're looking at these files and directories we can probably figure out

most of this stuff okay the name and date

ok get into this part right here

what the heck is this crap arm

ok I see a bunch of RW some minuses in these ok no idea what that as well

those are all the file permissions and each file has its own permissions so

let's learn what all these symbols mean and I actually typed this right before

this tutorial because this what i'm typing is just easier way to see this

all i did is there are different sections of file permissions and instead

of having everything bunch together i just added a space to space amount so

this first symbol which would be either a minus or D in all of these what the

first symbol means is if what you're looking at is a file its going to have a

- if this thing is a directory it's going to have addy

so you see that all of these are files and like bacon right here that's a file

and all of these are directories movies another so that's why they're der the

directories Heavy D in all the files and minuses

all right well that was easy so let's go on to the next thing

well all of this stuff right here is actually pretty easy to understand once

you understand that this isn't um don't look at it as nine different characters

it's actually broke up into three different groups so three then three

then three

now the three letters that you can have

four symbols are our W and X so let's just break this down one group at a time

so for every file there are three things that you can do it you can read it

you can write it or you can execute it now we already know what reading and

writing it means execute means if you ever have an executable then you can do

that too

so on a computer your files those are all the things that you can do it

alright so those are the permissions for the file but why do we have three

different chunks don't think only need to give it one set of permissions

well I know I didn't talk to you guys about the owner of a file or groups or

different users on the computer but that's why you need three different ones

the first group are the permissions for the owner of the file

the second chunk of permissions right here is for the group and this last one

is for everyone else

so not the owner not the group just you know like global regular users

so in this example right here what this would mean is this would be for file

since it has a - or - whatever you want to call it the owner of the file can

read write and execute it

the group can read and write it but they can't execute it and everyone else all

the normal users they can just read it

so maybe this is something for like a file on a website

those would be you know a pretty good example other permissions and what I'm

about to teach you right now is probably easier if you guys have a little cheat

sheet to look at

so let me type this so when I explained in it

guys can see what's going on so the letter U is for user and that would be

the like the main owner of the file bow

the one that usually has the most privileges so G this stands for the

group and oh these are the people with usually the least privileges these are

just other people and i'll say like a from the outside world

so just keep these characters in mine right here because now i want to teach

you how you would be spaced this so you guys can see the whole thing art so what

if we want to change their permissions for let's say this bacon file right here

so want to say that we want to change it for

normal users from the outside world and right now as we can see they can only

read the file

well let's say that we wanted to arm I don't know have them be able to write it

for some reason

well to change the permissions use chmod and then it takes on well three pieces

of information

the first one is what group are you trying to change the permissions for

well we're trying to change it for other people

the outside world and then it's saying okay what do you want to do

well we just want to give them the write permission and now it just takes one

file which is bacon and check it out

so now if i do list L again the outside world can now not only read the file

I think it was before but they can also write it now if you ever wanna take

those permissions way right the group

what permissions you want to take away and wolf I oh so check it out we just

took it away

now when we hear clear and clear stuff out all right that's simple enough but

imagine that you wanted to you know change the permissions around four

I don't know maybe the user the group and other people that's going to take a

bunch of commands and you know it's not going to take that long maybe a minute

but we don't have time for that

so sure i'll show you guys the incredibly easy way

i'll give you guys a little cheat sheet right here to easily set all of the

permissions for every group at once and you guys are gonna love me after this

so i'll give you guys an example like a chmod we can do something like some 54

and then the file name which is bacon

so in this order i'll write a

754 represents the individual permissions for and i'll say in this

order

um I guess that's the best way to do it is so user group and other

so this first number right here is for the user

the second one is for the group and the third one is for other so you know just

kind of the way that you would think of it

so all right that was easy enough so we're given seven to the user 52 the

group for to the other

alright so what the heck do these numbers mean well for I just say on

stains for read

let me copy this so i don't have to type it again

alright so whenever you see the number for it stands for read so we are giving

others the ability to read this

now to whenever you see to have even if it even though wasn't in this example

this means right

so if we were changes to two then we would give the others

the permission to write it let me change that back to four and whenever you see a

one

this stands for execute and guys I know that this is kind of overwhelming right

now but after you see this a couple times you actually get the hang of it

and most people don't even understand what this is so you guys are going to be

like pros

alright so for whenever you see for it means we're giving this group the

ability to read to means right

and one means execute now 0

why the heck are you type in

because I've got a lock on art 0 stands for no permissions so anytime you would

see a - like before that would just mean a zero

alright so that's simple enough 0124 for each individual group but why is the

seminary hear what the heck is a seven

well this is the last thing I'm going to teach you and this is where things get a

little bit tricky

whenever you see a seven what you're doing is you're combining all of these

numbers so you can just give them

so for example you can just give a group rate permission or you can just give

them read permission or we can do is you can combine read and write and that

would be 6

now whenever we see a seven that means for this group they have read write and

execute permission

so let's figure out what this thing means it means we're going to change

your privileges for bacon or their permissions so users which is the first

one they have a seven so they can read write and execute it

alright so group they have a five

so what adds up to five well they can read and execute it

r right what about other people other people only have a four

so that means that they can only read it so i know that your likes in their back

so okay i'm getting in now

okay that makes sense now what you're going to see a lot is something like

this and if you ever see

chmod 777 bacon

this means that you're giving every group all their permissions to read

write and execute it

so that like i said is a pretty common 1777 means let anyone do whatever they

want with this bio but uh yeah there you go that's what all of the crap about

file permissions are in Linux

now you understand so go out on you know Jackson computers change the permissions

do whatever you want

thanks for watching see you next time
