These People Are Killing Innocent Dogs For This Festival. This Needs To Stop NOW. - Duration: 2:02.

Sometimes in my head, I imagine the world to be a place of no abuse, no crime, no war,

and no hate.

Unfortunately, we live in a world full of all of those things.

And when I heard about the following story, I almost refused to write it.

But the more I thought about it, the more I realized it needs to be shown more to the

public and this abuse to animals needs to stop.

Some residents of the southern Chinese city of Yulin started gathering last weekend and

eating dog meat and lychees to celebrate the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice.

There are celebrations across the country celebrating this time year.

This year, to avoid protesters participants of the festival started a bit early.

Their celebration?

Eating Dogs.

Yes, I said that correctly, eating innocent dogs.

Under the Yulin tradition, eating dog and lychee and drinking liquor on the Solstice

is supposed to make people stay healthy during winter.

Animal rights activists say the event is a public health risk because the dogs undergo

no quarantine to ensure they are free of disease.

The dogs are also stolen from owners and usually poisoned.

This poison can be harmful to humans too.

The Human Society has put together a campaign to put a stop to this.

Not only is it cruel, but it is just wrong.

There is an estimated 10,000 dogs that have been slaughtered for this event.

State media reports say the government told restaurants to remove references to dog meat

from their menus and signboards — though it did not ban the sale and consumption of

the meat, which is not illegal in China.

Going on Break for CHRISTMAS - Duration: 2:14.

Hello lords and ladies!

My name is Archaic King and I am going on break.

I know, I know, it really feels too soon to be taking time off again, right?

I took a break just a couple of months ago.

Still, with the holidays coming up and me needing to recharge my batteries again, I

felt it was as good a time as any to take some time away from it all.

This video is gonna try to clear the air and help you know what the schedule is going to

be and when I'm coming back, all that junk.

First off, this week you'll be getting DuckTales, Tangled, Big Hero 6, Scooby-Doo Where Are

You, Be Cool Scooby-Doo, and and one-off reviews.

Just me trying to push out all this late content before I go away, otherwise I'll have even

more work to come back to, right?

Unless I screw up, that's all coming out this week.

I'm also working on filler content.

Stuff that will be coming out while I'm away, so you won't be completely deprived.

The week before Christmas, so that's the 17th to the 23rd, you'll get that top 5

new cartoons of 2017 video and a Be Cool Scooby-Doo review.

And maybe some surprises.

Both reviews and maybe some gaming content?

And after Christmas the rest of the time I'll use to catch up on anything I missed, which

should just be a new Tangled episode.

So yeah, hopefully that fills you in on everything coming this month.

I hope you don't mind me taking time off to be with family and crap.

I just really didn't want to be working on Christmas.

I could use a little less stress, after all.

When I get back we'll be jumping right into a new Scooby Month and I'll be cluing you

lords and ladies into my plans for 2018 which could be pretty massive, maybe?

I don't know.
