Before starting the spiritual journey,
The Sadgurudev asks a question, "What is the purpose of life?"
Sunrise and sunset Sunset and sunrise
Summer and Winter Winter and Summer
Time is the one thing, which has neither a brake nor a reverse gear.
You could stop it, if it had brakes. ''These are not good times for me, so stop.''
There is no reverse gear either.
Despite your remorse,
''I wish I had not done that, or I wish I had done that.''
There is no reverse gear.
So, you need to be too alert.
Therefore, the question: what is the purpose of life?
The Enlightened One answers, "There is no purpose of life."
Not out of despair, but because you need to add purpose to life.
Life is an opportunity. It is a possibility.
You need to add purpose to it.
Life is a canvas.
You need to make it worthwhile by drawing pictures on it with your understanding.
If a canvas is worth 10 rupees,
The picture can be of 10,000.
Hence, life in itself has no purpose.
It is by accident that you got a human birth, due to the balance of your meritorious and unmeritorious karmas.
But if you can add purpose to it, your life can be meaningful.
There can be only one purpose in life.
The goal of self-realisation - experiencing the True Self.
If this is your life's goal, then no matter how far you reach, your life is meaningful.
If not successful, it can definitely be considered meaningful.
You call it successful when it bears fruit,
But it is surely meaningful, as you are moving in that direction.
You need to manifest the tree hidden within the seed.
Whatever you are missing, your missing factor,
Due to which you are not happy, calm, satisfied, joyous, composed etc.
That missing factor, which you tried to find in power, wealth, woman, body etc.
That missing factor is within you, is inside you, is you!
