Waching daily Feb 3 2017

For a long time I have considered Kyoto Animation to be one of my favorite animation studios.

Usually because anytime they create a series, it's one that I end up enjoying!

Or at the very least am apathetic towards.

You may notice that I talked about them in past tense, meaning that I have since changed

my opinion.

Which has happend somewhat.

While for the most part my love of Kyoto Ani remains the same, I have become a bit more

apprehensive towards them.

Ever since….the incident.

* let's hope for something a bit different this time.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is a comedy series that is self-explanatory.

It features a middle-aged salary woman working in a traditional desk office situation.

She drinks beer and for the most part keeps to herself.

Until she meets Toru, a dragon.

In a drunken stupor she encounters Toru in the forest and drunkenly convinces her to

be her maid.

The dragon, Toru, smitten with this woman arrives the following day to help service

her new master.

Her new master that has no memory of her drunken escapades the night previous.

The series is a comedy that uses its mythical characters, who interacting with everyday

life to spark entertainment.

A feat that it does well actually, not that this is particularly surprising.

Kyoto Animation was the studio in charge of two of my favourite anime comedies.

Those being Nichijou and Full Metal Panic Fumofuu.

(Shout out to Full Metal Panic IV coming out later this year).

So it stands to reason that they could make a successful comedy here as well.

Kobayashi is a series that I've been using as a kind of Pallet cleanser this season.

It's based on a 4-koma manga so it's easy to watch and there's no big plot to keep

track off.

Wacky hijinks with a Maid dragon under the employ of a traditional sallarywoman.

So when I need something to turn on and enjoy for 20 minutes out of every week, it's serves

that purpose well.

Kyoto Ani knows how to take comedy and they know how to animate it.

Even if the jokes fall flat the cute character designs, and the polish that they give their

shows makes up for it.

What's actually a bit more interesting is that the manga that it's biased off of is

not owned by Kyoto Animation.

It's possible you might not find that weird.

But with a company that has for the last several years only adapted stories that it owned the

rights too... this is something that comes off as odd.

It's not that there is anything particularly remarkable about it either.

It's a average, albeit cute and entertaining slice of life series.

But I haven't yet seen anything that strikes me as the reason they decided to break their

recent business model.

Either way it exists, and in a season that's on the lower end as far as entertaining choices

go, Kobayashi comes off as much more entertaining than most.

The character interactions thus far have been the definite highlight.

Toru does not take to the traditional role of Maid very well.

She ends up more like a klutzy maid who tries her best but often does more harm than good.

Much to Kobayashi's distress.

Also so far each new episode has introduced other dragons for Kobayashi to interact with.

Some who range from slutty older sister type to the butler who wants to burn the world

with everyone in it.

They all mean well though.

As far as recommending it, the series has been quite entertaining for me this far.

As such I would recommend that you check it out and see if its humor is to your liking.

So if you are interested though, you can go and watch it over on Crunchyroll if you have

access to it.

Link in the description for a Crunchyroll free trial as usual if you require it.

So what did you guys think of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid?

Let me know down in the whatchamajig, and for those of you who are further along in

the show or have read the manga, no spoilers please.

Thank you for joining me on this First Reaction.

If you like this sort of thing, hit the like button to let me know and if you have a suggestion

for what you think I should talk about next, let me know down in the comments, though chances

are I'm doing it anyway.

And until next time, ladies, gentlemen, and others, Stay Frosty.

Root canal treatment can happen when a

nerve is exposed through tooth decay, or

the nerve becomes painful. And what

happens is that the inside of

the tooth, has to be cleaned out, right

up into the roots, and is often

done by somebody who is a specialist in root

canal treatment. A lot of patients are

very frightened of the word 'root canal

treatment', because they imagine it's

going to be very painful, and if the

person who is doing the treatment makes

sure that it's absolutely numb, there is

no reason to be afraid of it.

Korea's current account surplus narrowed in 2016 - Duration: 2:05.

Korea's current account balance stayed in the black in 2016 but the amount of surplus

smaller than the year before.

What's even more worrisome is that experts predict it could shrink even further.

Our Kim Minji explains why.

Korea's current account surplus narrowed last year.

According to preliminary data from the Bank of Korea,... the country logged a surplus

of nearly ninety-eight-point-seven billion U.S. dollars.

That's down about seven percent from a year earlier,... but is still the second biggest

surplus on record after the 105-point-nine billion dollars posted in 2015.

Last year's figure was driven by a strong goods account surplus -- which came to over

120 billion.

This was due mainly to improved terms of trade on weak global oil prices.

Exports fell five-point-seven percent in 2016 from the year before,... while imports were

down seven percent.

However, the service balance remained in the red,... posting a record-high deficit of 17-point-six

billion dollars,... pulled down by losses in the transportation and travel balances.

The central bank data comes after Korea's Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho said Thursday that

the country would narrow its current account surplus, apparently out of concern that the

U.S. could label it a currency manipulator.

One of the conditions Washington uses to gauge unfair currency practices is whether a country's

current account surplus is larger than 3 percent of its GDP.

Korea's trade surplus with America also tops 20 billion dollars yearly... which is another

condition listed by the U.S. Treasury Department.

Seoul is currently on a monitoring list, and its currency practices will be reviewed again

by Washington in April.

Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump said Japan and China were playing the money market,...

essentially labeling them as currency manipulators,... raising concerns that Korea could be next.

Kim Min-ji, Arirang News.

Trump says military action against Iran is not 'off the table' - Duration: 6:07.

Trump says military action against Iran is not 'off the table' and the U.S. looks set to increase sanctions after rogue state's nuclear-capable cruise missile test

President Donald Trump dramatically raised the possibility of military action against Iran over its missiles test on Thursday saying 'nothing is off the table' amid news that a new round of sanctions could be coming in less than a day

Trump used the phrase when asked directly if military action was possible, and after a series of angry tweets about how the Islamic republic tested a ballistic missile – something the nuclear bargain it struck with Barack Obama explicitly forbids.

The president was speaking in the Roosevelt Room of the White House as he met executives from Harley-Davidson, the storied motorcycle manufacturer, and after Tehran had called his threats 'useless' and described him as 'an inexperienced person.'

PHOTO: 'Nothing is off the table': Trump's warning as he spoke in the Roosevelt Room of the White House comes amid mounting tensions between Washington and Tehran

Hours later Reuters reported that that the U.S. is expected to impose sanctions on about eight different Iranian entities as early as Friday.

A White House official was unable to confirm to DailyMail.com that sanctions were on the way.

But a Reuters source said some sanctions would be seen as a response to terrorism-related activities and others would fall under separate existing U.S. executive orders.

That would sidestep the sanctions-relieving terms of Obama's agreement with Tehran.

It also emerged Thursday that Iran has tested a cruise missile called 'Sumar' that is capable of carrying nuclear weapons

The development was reported by German newspaper Die Welt reported Thursday, citing unspecified intelligence sources.

As Trump grew angrier in the wee hours of Thursday morning, he used social media to issue an explicit warning to Tehran.

'Iran has been formally PUT ON NOTICE for firing a ballistic missile,' the president wrote on Twitter. 'Should have been thankful for the terrible deal the U.S. made with them!'

PHOTO: A medium-range ballistic missile was tested on Sunday in Iran and exploded after 630 miles, a US official said on Monday. The test was carried out from a site near Semnan, 140 miles east of Tehran. Pictured above is a file photo from a March 2015 ballistic missile test in Iran

'Iran was on its last legs and ready to collapse until the U.S. came along and gave it a life-line in the form of the Iran Deal: $150 billion,' he added in a second tweet.

Trump has been openly hostile to the terms of the Obama-Tehran nuclear deal, saying during his presidential campaign that it was 'stupid,' 'a disgrace,'' and 'the worst deal ever negotiated.'

His tweets likely stand as the first time a head of state has used social media to threaten a foreign country. They were met with contempt by the Iranian regime.

A top adviser to the Iranian supreme leader said the country will not yield to 'useless' US threats from 'an inexperienced person' over its ballistic missile program.

Ali Akbar Velayati said, who is a senior counsel to Iran's most powerful man Ayatollah Ali Khamenei hit back.

'This is not the first time that an inexperienced person has threatened Iran,' he said. 'The American government will understand that threatening Iran is useless.'

The report of a cruise missile test in the German newspaper said the Sumar cruise missile was built in Iran and traveled around 375 miles in its first known successful test

The missile is believed to be capable of carrying nuclear weapons and may have a range of 1,200 to 1,800 miles, the paper said, citing intelligence sources.

Cruise missiles are harder to counter than ballistic missiles since they fly at lower altitudes and can evade enemy radar, confounding missile defense missiles and hitting targets deep inside an opponent's territory.

But the biggest advantage from Iran's point of view, a security expert told Die Welt, was that cruise missiles are not mentioned in any United Nations resolutions that ban work on ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

There has been no explicit response from Iran or from Washington on the cruise missile disclosure.

However, Trump's National Security Advisor had issued his own stern warning to Tehran's mullahs on Wednesday.

Gen. Michael Flynn told reporters during a White House press briefing that the administration 'condemns such actions by Iran that undermine security, prosperity and stability throughout and beyond the Middle East that puts American lives at risk.' 'As of today, we are officially putting Iran on notice,' he said.

It wasn't clear what that notice means, or what consequences Iran can expect if it continues to test missiles that are capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

Senior administration officials wouldn't rule out military action or sanctions during a separate briefing with reporters that came later.

Officials said 'a large number of options' are being considered and would not reveal what those are other than to say that they include financial and economic actions.

'We are considering a whole range of options. We are in a deliberative process,' one said.

Flynn said that 'Iran is now feeling emboldened,' and criticized the Obama administration for failing 'to respond adequately to Tehran's malign actions, including weapons transfers, support for terrorism and other violations of international norms.'

Administration officials, speaking on background to reporters, said Wednesday afternoon that the Republican president was taking a 'different perspective' from his predecessor's. 'Iranian behavior needs to be rethought by Tehran,' one said.

An official added that 'there should be no doubt that the United States is committed to holding Iran accountable for adhering to missile restrictions and accountable for behavior in the region that we consider to be destabilizing.'

PHOTO: Trump's action may be the first time a head of state has used social media to threaten action against a foreign country

Iran, Republicans say, has built up its nuclear capabilities despite signing on to a multilateral deal designed to produce the opposite outcome.

A defense official said this week that the Iranian missile test ended with a 'failed' re-entry into the earth's atmosphere.

The suggestion that the missile was designed to return to earth supports the contention that it was a test of an attack vehicle, not a rocket meant to launch satellites into space.

The official had no other details, including the type of missile, but spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Flynn said pointedly that Iran's action is 'in defiance of UN Security Council Resolution 2231.'

That international consensus demands that Iran not 'undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic missile technology.'

The White House said Monday that it was studying information about the ballistic missile test.

Press Secretary Sean Spicer said he did not know the 'exact nature' of the test and expected to have more information later.

The White House sent several officials to brief reporters a hours later. 'We can confirm that Iran conducted a launch of a medium-range missile, the Shahab, and that launch was on 29 January. The launch we view as being highly provocative,' an official said. 'This affects us all and is a destabilizing factor in the region.'

Iran is the subject of a United Nations Security Council resolution prohibiting tests of ballistic missiles designed to deliver a nuclear warhead.

As part of the 2015 nuclear deal, the U.N. ban was prolonged by eight years, although Iran has flaunted the restriction.

State Department spokesman Mark Toner said the U.S. was looking into whether the ballistic missile test violates the U.S. Security Council resolution.

'When actions are taken that violate or are inconsistent with the resolution, we will act to hold Iran accountable and urge other countries to do so as well,' Toner said.

Sen. Bob Corker, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, condemned Iran for the missile test.

'No longer will Iran be given a pass for its repeated ballistic missile violations, continued support of terrorism, human rights abuses and other hostile activities that threaten international peace and security,' Corker, a Republican from Tennessee, said in a written statement.

Iranian-backed rebels in Yemen, meanwhile, claimed a successful missile strike against a warship in the Red Sea belonging to the Saudi-led coalition that is fighting alongside Yemen's internationally recognized government.

Video footage shown on the rebels' al-Masirah television on Monday shows a warship being hit and a fire on board starting as a man not shown in the video shouts the rebels' trademark chant of 'Allahu akbar [God is greatest], death to America, death to Israel, a curse on the Jews and victory for Islam.' The media arm of the Shiite rebels, also known as the Houthis, said the vessel was believed to belong to the Saudi Arabian navy.

Don't look for a church or for Christian fellowship - Duration: 2:29.

Salvation is about our relationship with

Jesus Christ. If we do not know Jesus for

real and if that relationship is not

growing every day then we have no hope of

salvation. Jesus Christ Himself is the

way and the truth and the life. Many

people hear the gospel of Jesus Christ,

others pick up a Bible and read the

gospel, they believe in Jesus and then and they

believe that they have to look for a

church or the fellowship of other

Christians in order to come closer to

Jesus. That is not true.

Our relationship is with Jesus Christ

alone. If we do not have that

relationship we are lost. We must follow

Jesus Christ. We must seek Him in prayer

and He will reveal Himself to us. The

people in church are not busy with the

kingdom of God. They are not following

Jesus Christ.

They are playing church, they have no

relationship with Jesus. Those who know

Jesus follow Him. Their

communion,k their fellowship, their

relationship is with Him not with other

people. They bring others into fellowship

with Jesus, because they know Jesus . Do

you know Jesus Christ? Is your

relationship with Jesus Christ real? If

you do not have Jesus, you do not have

life.

Seek Jesus with all your heart and He

will reveal Himself to you. May Jesus

What is periodontitis? - Duration: 1:03.

The main difference between gingivitis

and periodontitis, is that gingivitis

only affects the gums and it is

completely reversible. It affects all

people - if you don't clean your teeth

properly, and you have plaque and tartar on your teeth,

you will get inflammation of your gums.

Periodontitis is a more serious disease.

It also causes you to have inflammation

of your gums, but it also causes you to

lose the bone from around your teeth, and

bone loss due to gum disease is

irreversible. Once it is gone you will

never ever get it back again. So if it

continues, you can lose your teeth. It is

partially down to your genetic

susceptibility. So some people are much

more susceptible to the disease than

others. It is exacerbated by smoking,

people who have diabetes, other medical

conditions - so it is a much more general

problem, and and it is much more

difficult to treat.
