WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

The high-stakes tension certainly returns in the 10th episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead," Season 7. The regular players are featured — most of the ones we adore, in fact — and the narrative truly begins to take hold.

Thus far in Season 7, each character had to fulfill some small task, which was more meaningful on an emotional level than a global one. While it was certainly interesting to see Tara (Alanna Masterson) survive without Heath (Corey Hawkins), or watch Ezekiel (Khary Payton) tell his life's story to Carol (Melissa McBride) in the Kingdom, there was this burning desire to learn how the cast would fight back against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

However, there's been a seismic shift in the back half of the season — as our beloved characters have awoken; they've finally sipped the resistance Kool Aid. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is pleasantly aggressive again; he's even laid it all on the line to visit the boating facility to rescue Gabriel (Seth Gilliam). Maggie's (Lauren Cohan) a hardened soldier of the apocalypse hellbent on revenge.

Daryl's (Norman Reedus) just as abrasive as ever.

And Morgan (Lennie James), he's even… wait, no, he's still the conscientious objector.

Nevertheless, Episode 10, entitled "New Best Friends," is a thrilling hour-long ride, as Rick battles an impaled, helmet-wearing and goblin-like walker, and Morgan has his beloved weapon, the stick, wrestled away from him by brainless Saviors.

Now it's clear: It'll be Morgan's job to forget the pacifism and recruit the Kingdom dwellers to the bloody cause. Richard (Karl Makinen) and Daryl are counting on him.

Let's take an in-depth look at the episode:

As the show begins, Ezekiel, Richard and Morgan get a routine visit from the Saviors. A gangster named Gavin tells Ezekiel that the payload looks a bit "light" this time around. The King, biting his tongue, tells him that the supplies are there.

Another brainless Savior hastily asks for Richard's gun. When he tries to lift it, Morgan intervenes with his trusty stick, smacking the Savior square in the leg. In the process, he takes a blow and gets a bloody ear.

The Saviors, however, have drawn first blood.

Under the orders of Ezekiel, the Savior boastfully takes Richard's gun. Gavin warns the king that it might need to get more "visceral" in the future.

Daryl then tells Morgan, "They did that to you." The crossbow-wielding Alexandrian says that if it were Carol, she would be out there leading the group right to Negan. "That's why she left," Morgan responds, suggesting she couldn't quite handle the weight of violence any longer.

Richard then speaks with Daryl about his weapon of choice, the bow. Richard says, "I need your help." Daryl picks up the crossbow and the two skip town. Richard says he wants to "wipe the Saviors from the earth."

At a forsaken tractor-trailer on the side of the road, Richard tells Daryl he's organized an ambush to bait the Saviors into all-out war. "The Saviors that are left, we need them to be angry," Richard says, as he's prepared to toss Molotov cocktails.

Richard, however, says he's set up a "line" to Carol's place, so that it would look like she set up the whole ambush. Daryl hears this and refuses, but Savior trucks draw near. Richard goes to attack them but Daryl halts his progress, beating him up.

Richard says, "What we need to do requires sacrifice, one way or another… Guys like us, we've already lost so much."

Daryl simply says, "If anything happens to her, I'll kill you." Then, Richard informs the crossbow-wielder that he "would die for the Kingdom."

The show then cuts to an expansive junkyard. People emerge from a facility beneath the trash and encircle Rick, Michonne (Danai Gurira), Tara, Rosita (Christian Serratos) and Aaron (Ross Marquand). The new group's leader then shows herself.

Rick offers a warm welcome: "Hi, I'm Rick."

The woman informs him that "We own your lives. Wanna buy them back?" Rick demands to have Gabriel back while the leader asks for the boat supplies.

Rick gives this leader a quick rundown about who, in fact, owns their lives, citing the treacherous Saviors. "If you kill us, you'll be takin' something from them. And they will come looking," Rick says.

Upon asking this group leader to join the resistance, Rick gets a prompt "No."

In an ensuing tussle, Gabriel, who's shown as a hostage, snags a knife and puts it to the throat of the woman who appears to be second in command (Tammy Elle?). "You can have much of what's theirs," Gabriel teases.

"I want something now," the leader snaps back.

"Rick, he can do anything," Gabriel says, praising his leader.

Holding Rick at the top of a tall garbage pile, the leader says, "Time's passed, things are changing again. So maybe we change. Maybe." Then she pushes Rick into a garbage pit.

What does season 7 hold for "The Walking Dead" favorite Carol (Melissa McBride)?

At this point, one of the most creative, most haunting walkers ever emerges from the waste. It has a daggered metal helmet and swords protruding from its body. Fighting it, Rick is run through by a blade; it cuts through his hand and slices open his leg.

But Rick will be Rick.

He decapitates the zombie with a shard of glass.

The leader lowers a rope down to assist Rick. She tells him she wants guns, and "a lot" of them. "And then we fight your fight," she declares.

The two proceed to negotiate over stolen goods (and one-third of a future bounty).

They even shake hands (where the slender leader with distinct bangs views Rick's bloody hand and offers to shake the other). "Jars and guns. Guns and jars," she states.

It becomes clear to Rick that this leader and her people have waited for someone to take the goods from the boathouse. "We take, we don't bother," she says. "(Now) go, the deal expires soon."

Rick learns this woman's name is Jadis (played by Pollyanna McIntosh).

Back near the Kingdom, Daryl soon knocks on Carol's door, and eventually fails to tell her about those who died at Negan's hand.

As the survivors prepare to leave the junkyard, the creepy, clonelike trash dwellers echo their sentiment: "Guns soon." "Soon, or else."

Closing the trunk of "Gabriel's" car, Rick says, "Tara, you've been out there farther than us. At least you can tell us where not to look." "Yeah, sure thing," Tara answers, suggesting she'll have to grapple with the decision of giving up the location of the Oceanside community-armed with guns and even more (female) soldiers.

Inside the Kingdom, Daryl tells Morgan to deliver the king's men to "the cause." "I'm sorry, but it can't be me," Morgan warns, citing his known pacifism. Daryl tells the beloved character to "wake the hell up."

But Morgan has a card to play, too, as he calls out Daryl for failing to inform Carol about the Alexandrian deaths. The next morning, Richard glares at Morgan as if to say: "You need to make this happen." Daryl leaves for the Hilltop.

Refuse the Mark of the Beast Chip!! (Practical Preparations!) - Duration: 6:55.

What are some practical things we can do  to resist accepting the Mark of the Beast?

What can we do now to prepare for  the difficult times that are coming soon?

Hi. I'm training to be an end time survivor

by listening to the truth with an open heart  and learning how to live a radical Christian life.

The Mark of the Beast is coming. It will be very hard to refuse.

Without it, we won't be able to buy or sell.

We need to think about that now, and make changes so we will be ready when it comes.

I will give you five practical ways to prepare now for the difficult times ahead.

The first one is: Learn to live on less.

The world is constantly getting more stuff.  TV, magazines, movies all promote this idea.

The American dream is bigger houses,  newer cars, more clothes in the cupboard.

It's all about having and getting more and more.

But Jesus taught the opposite.  He said, "Don't build up wealth on earth.

"Build up wealth in heaven."

So we are going in the opposite direction.  We're learning to live with less.

One benefit of living with less,  is that we appreciate more what we already have.

Most of us have a lot more than we need,  and we can use our extra stuff to help others.

We probably won't be able to help the poor during the Great Tribulation.

We won't have much opportunity to help financially, and it may be dangerous to do very much.

So, if you are not helping others now, you probably won't do it when it is more dangerous.

A second practical way to prepare is learn to live with inconveniences.

The Mark of the Beast is very convenient.  Everything happens quickly and painlessly.

Living without the Mark will not be so easy.  But we can prepare little-by-little if we start now.

This points to the next way to prepare,  which is learning to go at a slower pace.

The world is always trying to do things faster.  New technology helps us to do this.

We can travel at higher speeds, cook quickly,  wash faster, and communicate instantly.

Technology was supposed to give us more time; but it mostly creates more work and more stress.

So, to fight this, we need to stop! We need space for God, and time for people.

Without it, we will never be able to hear what God wants to tell us.

A practical illustration is the chipped transport card that some countries are now using.

When we saw it coming,  some of us started using bicycles more.

We learned to live at a different pace.  This was one step to living outside the system.

Another way to prepare  is to link up with other sincere Christians.

The day when Jesus returns is near. Hebrews 10:25 says to live with other believers,  especially when we see that final day coming.

We need to encourage and strengthen each other.   We need to reach out and find other sincere Christians.

There's so much hypocrisy in the world  that we can feel very lonely.

It is hard to find people who want to do the right thing.  But do not give up looking.

Keep looking for sincere Christians.  The best way to find them is to be sincere ourselves.

The more sincere we are,  the more we will attract other sincere people,  and the more we will repel the hypocrites.

So keep looking, and when you find someone who really wants to obey God,  don't worry too much about what they believe.

We will all have differences,  and none of us has all the answers.

But if there is sincerity, if there is humility and love,  then we can overcome our differences.

Pride blocks us from connecting with other Christians.  If we do connect, the connections are very superficial.

There are many disagreements among Christians. If we are not prepared to work through our differences,

we will look for a  comfortable place  more than a place that will help us grow spiritually.

My fifth practical suggestion  is to start spreading Jesus' message.

Jesus said to go into all the world,  preaching and making disciples.

When we do that, we will find other lost sheep. Together we will start to form communities.

These communities will strengthen us  for the end times.

There are other practical ways to prepare.  That includes important SPIRITUAL preparations.

You can join our forum  where we discuss other changes that we need to make.

We are slowly connecting  with sincere believers from around the world.

Please do not delay this decision to prepare.

The most important point in this video is the need to act now; don't wait.

Remember, time is short. Let's make the most of it.
