It was important that we had-- we could have filled--
you know, we could have had 200 people.
But we wanted to just have family and the people
that are closest to us.
- I have a memory. - Oh.
HOLLY ROBINSON PEETE: Oh.
--when me, Ryan, and Robinson were all just
sitting in Robinson's room.
Ryan on her computer looking to see if she got into NYU.
Oh my god.
Ryan on her computer.
She told me and Robinson to look at it
first to see if she got in.
And we were like, Ryan, you got in to NYU.
And Ryan, I was just so proud of you on that moment.
It made me feel so good.
Lord, have mercy.
[INTERPOSING VOICES]
MAN: Oh my god.
MAN: That's cool, Roman.
Oh, god, Roman.
Ryan, what you should know now is how much everybody loves you
and how much everybody is going to really miss you.
And we hope you miss us.
I will.
I will.
As a parent, when you have a child,
you don't come with a guidebook.
And I see everything that your mom has done
and your father has done for you.
And they did a damn good job.
You set the bar extremely, extremely high
for the rest of these little nuggets sitting at the table.
And if there's anything that you ever need,
please feel free to give us a call.
Muchos besitos, mi amor.
Thank you.
I don't want you to get more emotional.
I just want to say, Ryan, we're going to all miss you.
And when I get over there, when we have fun, we'll get lit.
RYAN: All right.
[INTERPOSING VOICES]
You going to the club with Ryan?
Yeah, we going to go to the club.
Hey Ryan, I just got a little something to spit real quick.
WOMAN: Here we go. Here we go.
WOMAN: No.
Hey, Ryan, I know you're going to the Big Apple.
When football is on, I know you'll miss our tackles.
When we joke, Ryan, man, you make me crackle.
Ryan, clean up your dorm.
I'll give you a broom.
Just know that Robby Peete the one that got dibs on your room.
Go and get your degree.
But don't forget about me.
Don't order takeout every day, Ryan, eat your greens.
Don't forget to exercise so that you can stay lean.
So go to college, Ryan, and fulfill your dreams.
For Peete's sake, we know that you all on the same team.
Ryan, you're leaving for college, so don't be mad.
Psych, I ain't sad. Ryan, stay healthy.
You know, family first.
Stay hydrated.
RODNEY PEETE: Ryan got emotional during lunch.
But I've been trying to get her to cry
and be emotional for the last month, and she wouldn't do it.
She was so ready to go.
And that's fine, but you also want
her to feel like, you know, you're going
to be missed a little bit.
