Waching daily Feb 17 2017

There are three ways to complete grant application forms within a workspace: You can download

PDFs of individual forms and fill them out offline, you can complete forms online within

a web browser, and you can reuse forms from a previous Workspace application.

To download a PDF form, first, click the form's Download link.

If the form is unlocked, a popup window will ask if you want to lock the form.

Click the Yes button, as locking the form will prevent other Participants in the workspace

from updating the form while you are filling it out.

Wait for a few seconds as the form PDF opens in a new window.

Click the Save button under the Form Actions section to save the form to your computer.

Note that the form's cover sheet contains specific information relating to the form,

including the upload count, form state and version number.

Next, begin filling out the form, saving your progress as you go along.

Fields highlighted in yellow and outlined in red are required fields.

When the form has been completely filled out, click the Save button.

Then click the Check for Errors button.

A popup window will list any field errors in the form.

The errors will also be outlined in red on the form.

Finally, fix any fields that require attention, then click Save again.

You are now ready to upload the completed form to your workspace.

You can initiate this process by clicking the Upload link.

Note that if the form is locked by another Participant, the Upload link will not be activated

for you.

To fill out an online form, first, click the form's Edit link.

A new browser window will open containing the form.

You can jump to specific parts of the form by clicking on the Sections menu to the left

of the screen.

As you edit an online form, your changes will be automatically saved every five minutes.

The data and attachments will be autosaved, but the workspace will not be updated until

you click the Save button.

You should still use the Save button often.

Click the Check for Errors button to receive a list of errors or missing data in the online

form.

The errors will specify the section and data field with an error.

Click the Close button when you are done completing the form.

Grants.gov will ask you whether you wish to unlock the form.

Click the Yes button if you want the form to be Unlocked, which allows all other workspace

participants to edit the form.

Click the No button if you want to retain the Lock on the form.

To reuse a form from one of your previous workspaces, first, click the Reuse link.

Next, in the Resue Workspace Form pop-up window, you will see a message stating that the selected

form will be overwritten once you select a form to reuse.

Click Yes to continue.

In the pop-up window, search for the desired workspace form by Workspace ID, Funding Opportunity

Number, Application Filing Name, as well as by status and last uploaded date.

You can preview the desired form by clicking the Preview link in the Actions column.

To reuse a specific form, click the Select link.

You will be taken back to the Forms tab of the Manage My workspace page, and a message

will read, Form Successfully reused.

You can also reuse forms by uploading a PDF form from a previous workspace application.

The form needs to have the same title and version number.

During the upload process, the reused form's coversheet will be updated.

Keep the following tips in mind: Each form's cover sheet will list details

about the opportunity, application package, applicant, form and Workspace.

You can preview a workspace form by clicking the form name in the Application Package Forms

table.

A flat PDF version of the form will appear in a pop-up window.

Required forms that do not contain editable fields still need to be downloaded or previewed

in order to change the form status to "Passed".

In such a case, the preview or download serves as an acknowledgement that the form has been

read.

You are not required to upload the form since no data can be added to the form.

Before uploading a form made up entirely of empty optional fields, make sure you have

clicked the Check for Errors and Save buttons (even though no text has been entered).

The form's cover sheet should read "No Errors" in the Form State field under the

Applicant & Workspace Details section.

Click the Preview Application Forms button to preview a flat PDF of the entire application.

Ensure that your version of Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat is up to date before downloading

a form from the workspace.

Visit Grants.gov's Adobe Software Compatibility page for more information.

To learn more about uploading and downloading workspace forms, access the Online User Guide

by clicking the question mark icon in a workspace page, tab or pop-up window.

You will be directed to a context-sensitive help article.

Can I Invest In Real Estate To Save For College? | Fridays with Fred - Duration: 2:13.

Welcome to another edition of Friday's with Fred, my name is Fred Sed.

Today's topic is an interesting one and I think it's so important and it's "Fred can

I Invest in real estate for the college of my future children when they grow up" I got

asked the other day and you know what its a great topic and the answer is Yes we have

clients that do it left and right so the whole concept is, You can rely on your financial

adviser, 529s for college accounts All of that is great do not get me wrong then think

about it why not buy a piece of real estate today when your child let's say is 2 years

old and by the time they get to college 16, 17 years from now if he get a rental property

in or out of state depending on return of investment, do you think that he would appreciate

it in the next 16 years?

I would say yes.

Do you think that by having a positive cash flow property that in 16 years your mortgage

payment could be or your debt payment on that property could be almost paid off? to the

point where you have a hundred, two hundred, three hundred thousand dollars in an investment

equity that would more than pay off your children's or your one child's tuition at that point?

the answer is YES its obviously a lot more complicated in a 2 minute video I can tell

you about if you ever have thought about is or have not thought about is I would love

to take this conversation offline and educate you on what's the proper way to do this so

it's another way by which you can invest in real estate for the purpose of that specific

property going towards one of your children's college in 16 years.

Would the least amount of cash is possible if the highest amount of return? so call us

7 days a week so we can have this conversation with at 1-800-921-9231 and see all the properties

that is are on the market for potential investment for you and your future children's college

tuition, go to fredsedrealty.com and remember like what we have to say, like us on facebook

subscribe in youtube, share this post so your friends and family are educated on this topic.

And as always tune in nextweek for another amazing edition of Friday's with Fred, why?

because that's what Fred said

Medicaid and Alzheimer's Care | Urbana Illinois | Facer Law Office - Duration: 3:37.

My spouse has Alzheimer's and is living at home.

What do we need to do now to plan ahead?

This is one of the most difficult situations I see.

I had a lady in my office this morning who is in exactly that situation.

Her spouse was just diagnosed with dementia with the behavioral disorder component, which

means that her husband is argumentative, he is sometimes abusive and always aggressive.

The first thing you have to do in this situation, and this is perhaps the hardest because it's

not a legal point, it's an emotional one, and that is simply, when a loved one gets

a diagnosis of Alzheimer's, you have to accept that that's like getting a ticket

to enter the nursing home.

Your loved one, unless you have the resources of Oprah Winfrey or some multi-millionaire

to keep them at home, your loved one is going to end up in a nursing home.

And emotionally, you need to accept that because when you do, now you will realize, yes I need

to get started with my planning.

At that point, we need to put a complete family protection plan in place.

One of the problems, I mean Alzheimer's is heartbreaking, but one of the real problems

with Alzheimer's is, that on average, people live about 8 years in a nursing home when

they have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's.

That doesn't include the two or three years they probably were able to remain at home

before their needs for care got to the point where they had to have round the clock nursing

home care.

That's a long time.

If you do the math and the nursing home cost 70, 80, or $90,000 a year and you multiply

that by eight, we're talking about a lot of money.

The time to plan is immediately.

The time to plan is now before your loved one needs the nursing home.

But you will only plan if you could accept the fact that your loved one is going to need

the nursing home and that he or she is going to have to go there at some point.

We accept that emotional and difficult to accept the fact, now we can do the planning

for you that will allow us and you to

protect your assets.

You Get What You Pay For. It' Work TIME! - Duration: 0:51.

OK. Let's talk about fees.

Have you ever heard the saying

you get what you pay for?

It's the exact same in the finance industry

When you see a sign for 1/2% fees

You need to do your homework

to find out if there's going to be a higher fee

when you need to pull your money out in retirement

Maybe paying a higher fee now is going to be

better tax efficiency for you in retirement.

I don't know you need to do a PLAN!

If you needed a heart transplant

are you going to find the best surgeon in town

or are you to find the cheapest surgeon in town?

I know I know money isn't everything

BUT it does rank up there with oxygen.

Were not the cheapest planners in town

but our clients do see the value between

their fees, their service

and the overall returns that they get.

So my plan is complete but yours isn't

Senate confirms Scott Pruitt to lead Environmental Protection Agency - Duration: 2:56.

Senate Republicans used their majority to confirm President Donald Trump's nominee to lead the Environmental Protection Agency on Friday, despite calls from Democrats to delay until requested emails are released.

Scott Pruitt is expected to be sworn in as EPA head later in the day.

As part of a public records lawsuit, a state judge in Oklahoma on Thursday ordered Pruitt to release thousands of emails that he exchanged with oil and gas executives by next week. Pruitt, who is Oklahoma's attorney general, has refused to release the emails for more than two years.

Democrats boycotted a committee vote on Pruitt's nomination last month, citing his refusal to hand over the emails, and on Thursday called on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to delay Pruitt's confirmation vote until the nominee turns over the thousands of requested emails from his time as attorney general.

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer of New York tried to draw a direct line between Pruitt's withheld emails and last year's demands from Trump and congressional Republicans during the presidential campaign.

"Emails! Remember emails?" Schumer asked on the Senate floor. "'We should get them out!' they said about Hillary Clinton.

... If they weren't worried about them, then why rush?"

Republican leaders, however, were unmoved.

"Scott Pruitt is the most thoroughly vetted nominee we've ever had to lead this agency," said Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. "These boycotts and these delay tactics do nothing to protect our environment or the health of Americans."

Donald Trump in the White House

Pruitt's nomination was strongly opposed by environmental groups and hundreds of former EPA employees, who predict he will roll back the agency's environmental enforcement efforts.

During his Senate confirmation hearing last month, Pruitt said he disagreed with Trump's past statements that global warming is a hoax. However, Pruitt has previously cast doubt on the extensive body of scientific evidence showing that the planet is warming and man-made carbon emissions are to blame. The 48-year-old Republican is closely aligned in his home state with oil and gas companies, whose executives have backed his political campaigns.

Though Pruitt ran unopposed for a second term in 2014, public campaign finance reports show he raised more than $700,000, much of it from people in the energy and utility industries.

The Center for Media and Democracy filed multiple public records requests for Pruitt's emails to coal, oil and gas corporations going back to 2015. It sued him last week. In a hearing Thursday, Oklahoma District Court Judge Aletia Haynes Timmons concluded "there really is no reasonable explanation" for why Pruitt's office hasn't complied with the request for his emails.

Timmons ordered Pruitt to turn over the records by Tuesday and to comply with other open records requests by the group in 2015 and 2016 within 10 days. Pruitt's office says about 400 documents were turned over on Feb. 10, but Timmons says more than 3,000 have been withheld.

As attorney general, Pruitt filed 14 lawsuits challenging EPA regulations. He joined a multistate lawsuit opposing the Obama administration's plan to limit planet-warming carbon emissions from coal-fired power plants. Pruitt also sued over the EPA's recent expansion of water bodies regulated under the Clean Water Act.

It has been opposed by industries that would be forced to clean up polluted wastewater.

[laughter] Education, farming, agriculture, conservation, community engagement.

It was meant to be!

We are trying to tell a sustainable agriculture story here today that honors the historical

legacy of this land and the people who have been here before us—-farming, sustainably

feeding this community, this region.

>>STUDENT 1: So a lot of volunteering experiences, you have to like go and learn and do all this

training.

And you can just…

>>STUDENT 2: Pick it up.

>>STUDENT 1: Yeah pretty much email Lauren and start the next day.

>>LAUREN WULKER: People would always come and say to me at the high school level that

it's too late and now at the college level I can say, "You're all wrong."

You know they're still coming out…People are still coming out of the woodwork wanting

to know what this is and how to get involved…They're also solving problems in the real world through

a hands-on engaged approach.

>>STUDENT 2: It makes me feel better like if I need to eat on campus or if I'm eating

uptown, I know that my food's fresh.

>>LAUREN WULKER: After the Austin-Magie family, there was another family that ran this 12

acres called the Frymans so this land is also known as the Fryman farm…these 12 acres.

And, a couple weeks ago, the woman who married Mr. Fryman, who I think passed away..she lives

in North Carolina but there was some bad weather and showed up here at the farm just to see

what's going on on the land.

And when she found out what we were doing, she teared up a little and said, "Thank

you, everyone in my family, we're farmers.

I come from agriculture.

To see students engaged in this work gives me hope."

And so, in that way, we are connected to the people who were here before us and that's

an important part of what we're doing.

Introducing Grants.gov Workspace Functionality [Updated for R15.4] - Duration: 3:27.

If more than one person in your organization typically works on a federal grant application,

Grants.gov Workspace will make the collaborative process easier.

In Workspace, applicants can fill out individual application forms separately.

At the time of submission, the individual forms are automatically stitched together

into a single package.

Workspace functionality on Grants.gov… makes collaboration easier, saves time as forms

can be reused in multiple workspaces, [and] includes context-sensitive help for all pages,

tabs and windows within a workspace.

The first phase of the workflow involves an organizational applicant with the Manage Workspace

role logging in and locating a workspace-compatible funding opportunity.

The Manage Workspace role is a new role that is automatically given to applicants who have

the AOR role.

The Manage Workspace role can also be given to non-AOR organizational applicants by the

EBiz POC or an AOR with MPIN access.

The second phase of the workspace workflow involves the applicant with the Manage Workspace

role creating a workspace for the chosen funding opportunity.

The applicant user who creates the workspace is automatically assigned ownership of the

workspace.

The third phase of the workspace workflow begins after the creation of the workspace,

when the Workspace Owner adds other organizational users to the workspace.

These users, called Participants within the workspace, will have registered as organizational

applicants on Grants.gov.

During this phase, the Workspace Owner may also reassign ownership of the workspace to

any user with the Manage Workspace role.

The fourth phase of the workspace workflow involves completing individual forms.

Any Participant may complete these forms, unless they have been locked by the Workspace

Owner or another Participant.

The fifth phase of the workspace workflow begins after all forms have been completed

and checked for errors.

When checks have been made on all required forms, the Complete and Notify AOR button

will be activated for the Workspace Owner.

When the Workspace Owner clicks the button, the AOR will be notified that the application

is ready for submission.

Please note that this is an optional step.

When the forms are in the "Passed" status, any Participant with the AOR role may submit

the application, even if the Workspace Owner has not clicked the Complete and Notify AOR

button.

The sixth phase of the workspace workflow begins when the AOR has been notified that

the application is ready for submission.

The Sign and Submit button will be activated for the AOR and he or she will have the option

of submitting the application or reopening the workspace for further changes to individual

forms.

The workspace can also be reopened by either an AOR

or the Workspace Owner after an application is submitted.

Each successful submission from a workspace will generate a unique Grants.gov Tracking

Number.

To learn more about particular phases of the workspace workflow, consult the appropriate

training video, or access the Online User Guide by clicking the question mark icon in

a workspace page, tab or pop-up window.

You will be directed to a context-sensitive help article.

Natural treatment for Menopause - VitaLife Show Episode 217 - Duration: 4:40.

Welcome to the Vita Life Show. I'm Doctor Janine Bowring and in this episode were talking about natural treatments for menopause.

Now I thank all of our subscribers for tuning in and subscribing and supporting our channel . This is all about getting healthy from the inside out

and empowering you with education so that you can be your healthiest you.

So... menopause. well Menopause is actually classified as a woman going through twelve consecutive months without having her period

Perimenopause can start years before menopause and usually around the age of 42, 43.

some of the symptoms, as you may know, of menopause include hot flashes, night sweats, a decrease in libido or sex drive

irregular periods , vaginal dryness and weight gain. So this is around menopause, perimenopause, we've sort of lumped all those symptoms together

and you definitely know who you are if you're suffering from this hormonal imbalance that can happen.

So how do we treat this naturally? Well, the good news is that we can use whole fresh foods to help to support the body

so that this then supports the hormones. You want to decrease your exposure to synthetic hormones, so you now alot dairy products or meat products out there

if they're not naturally grown and fed, then they have a lot of these synthetic hormones. Avoid refined carbohydrates

as much as possible because they actually spike your insulin levels and then this has a whole gammut of effects,

on your hormones. Limit your caffeine as much as possible, because it actually increases your calcium excretion

so a little bit is okay, but too much is not good for your hormones overall and your bone density.

increase your exercise, so exercise is so so important to keep you healthy and active and to keep your insulin levels in check

as well. Kegel excersizes are something that's very important, especially for women, to help to maintain that urinary continence

and this is as we age, unfortunately, the hormones and everything starts to drop down , and we want to maintain that muscle structure

so the kegel exercises you can check that out on other videos as well on how to do those. and decrease your stress

so, stress always causes a flux of hormones starting from your cortisol in the adrenals, your stress hormones, and then this then influences

your estrogen and progesterone . so, we have some natural hormone regulating supplements here at VitaTree

so my favorite is the VitaWomens formula and what this does is it helps to regulate estrogen and progesterone levels in women naturally

it's like a natural hormone replacement therapy . We actually have a number of customers who actually, you know, they learn about the negative effects

and this is what they use as their substitute with fantastic results. So you know, a lot of women don't even have symptoms of menopause because

they've learned about the VitaWomens formula, we're able to get on it soon enough, and they didnt have any hot flashes and things like this

as they were going through menopause. So absolutely phenomenal, this is, you know, a deal breaker. It's incredible what it can do for balancing your hormones.

Detoxification, so we talked about detoxification as well. The toxins, they do wreak havoc on your hormonal balance.

So, the VitaDetox is a great full body detox, you can learn more about it at VitaTree.com. Another one of my favorites is the VitaTree probiotics

helping to balance your internal gut flora, which has a lot to do with your estrogen and conjugation and getting the excess estrogen out of the body

This is the Fruit That Will Make Your Liver 20 Years Younger - Duration: 2:41.

The liver plays an important role in many bodily functions from protein production and

blood clotting to cholesterol, glucose (sugar), and iron metabolism.

A variety of illnesses can affect the liver, With the help of certain vitamins like vitamin

K the liver produces important proteins that are essential for blood clotting.

The liver is the one that breaks down old and damaged blood cells and regulates the

chemical levels in the blood.

Another serious liver disease is nonalcoholic steatohepatitis.

This disease can result in liver cancer and has been known to be fatal, which is why you

should learn how to resolve it.

It is usually caused by being overweight, rapid weight loss, unhealthy diet, gastric

surgery or intestinal disease.

Luckily, there are many natural solutions to most liver problems.

The liver is the only organ in the body that can easily replace damaged cells, but if enough

cells are lost, the liver may not be able to meet the needs of the body.

We usually eat different fruits every day without knowing their health benefits.

There are a lot of foods that can help you prevent liver problems but one very important

is the tamarind fruit.

This fruit will not only promote liver health but it will also influence your general health

for the better.

The tamarind fruit is great for eliminating fat in your liver and can treat almost all

liver problems.

This fruit will detoxify the body, improve digestion, protect your liver, decrease the

level of cholesterol, treat any problems with the bile and promote liver health.

This is how to use it in order to treat hepatitis and fatty liver disease:

Put two handfuls of peeled tamarind and place them into a blender with one liter of water,

mix them well, strain this mixture and consume the liquid

during the whole day.

If you like, you can add honey.

To make tamarind tea, put about 20 washed tamarind leaves in the pot and one liter water,

and boil this mixture for about 15 minutes and let it cool down.

Add brown sugar or honey to taste, but we recommend drinking unsweetened tamarind tea.

Consuming it two times a day will treat any issue with the liver and promote your overall

health.
