Aibird Uoplay 2 Gimbal Unboxing/Review/Test Shots - Duration: 10:27.Hey guys whats up!
Welcome to terntrails (weird pause) for yet another amazing and interesting Vlog.
So, today we are gonna be unboxing and reviewing the AIbird Uoplay 2.
Yes, the smartphone and GoPro stabilizer out there.
So, I am very excited and i am sure you are very curious to find out what it is all about.
So without wasting any time further lets just get started and see what it has to offer.
Alright, lets start unboxing.
I guess this is the portable pouch.
But i am not really a great fan of this because i really like the earlier version which they
provided which was actually strong and better in terms of portability.
Some manuals and warranty card.
Here it is!
So now it looks lifeless but i am sure it is gonna spring to life once we put in the
batteries.
Here is the remote.
And here is the USB cable my friends - micro USB to the USB general type-A. The quality
is pretty much taken care of so the damages due to the wear and tear is probably much
lesser than the general USB cables out there.
Counter weight for iPhone 6S Plus and other heavy phones.
And this over here my friends is the rubber band for GoPro.
This is something which i really like because it ensures that the GoPro is firmly held on
to your Gimbal and the last thing you want while you are making some awesome footages
is your GoPro flipping off your Gimbal and falling down.
So, this is something which i will really recommend for safety purpose.
The charger and batteries.
There are two ways where you can charge your batteries for the Gimbal.
So one is like you have the standalone charger where you can just plug in and charge and
the other way is where you can directly plug in to your USB to the Gimbal and while you
are shooting out there you can connect your Gimbal to a powerbank and keep charging on
the go.
Before you mount the phone on to your Gimbal please ensure that you install the app Uoplay
from the App Store onto your mobile.
Press on the power button and hold on for two seconds.
You will see a blue light flashing and now its time to connect to the Gimbal.
Once the bluetooth is set up you are good to mount your phone onto the Gimbal.
Now all you have to do is single click on the power button once again and you will see
your Gimbal springing to life.
And now we are all set to go out for a field test.
So guys here is the comparison between handheld and Gimbal.
So you can see how majorly there is a difference between the stabilization of the shots.
It feels as if like we have used some professional rigs or cranes out there to shoot these shots.
It is just amazing how it has come out.
I really loved it.
And this is the walk test.
By the way i would like to let you know that iPhone has got its in-build stabilization
because of which you might not see a big difference between the shots (while walking i meant...:p).
But i tried using Oppo One Plus Three and i could really see a major difference between
the shots stabilization.
And here is the run test.
You can see how the camera is shaking up and down and sideways and see this.
It is just amazing.
It feels as if i am on a crane like taking these shots and you can see the results for
yourself.
Here is the 360 degree.
You just have so many features in this, that i would say this is a must for every Vlogger
out there.
To connect your remote to the Gimbal put your Gimbal on the standby mode and press the power
button over here and that should bring the blue light on at the bottom.
So initially when you do this the blue light would be blinking, all you need to do is,
you see this hole here, you need to use a safety pin or something which can go inside
this and there is a button inside. (i know of all the places they found one here....:p)
So once you insert and press it will give a click sound and that should enable the connection
between the remote and the Gimbal and the blue light which was blinking earlier will
stop doing so and that shows that you are good to go now.
And in case if your remote still has not connected to the Gimbal ensure that you restart the
Gimbal and put it on standby mode again and that should sort your problem.
Here are the different modes of joystick that you get on the app.
This is the lock mode that we are going through now.
This is the semi following mode.
And here we have the full following mode.
And here it is guys the awesome feature of facetrack so with the help of information
it is getting with my face it is tracking the camera to whichever direction i am moving.
So if i go to the right it takes it there, if i go to the left it does so and no matter
which direction i move it just ensures that my face is the subject in the frame.
So thats as simple as it is.
It's really a good feature for Vloggers and other cinematographers out there because you
dont really need a team or a crew to set this up.
It is just like you are good with the tripod and set up your gimbal on that and you are
good to go.
As you can see i am not operating it with any remote control or as such.
Even DJI Osmo offers it but then they dont provide the convenience to use a GoPro as
well with the Gimbal.
So i really recommend Uoplay 2 for atleast this main feature and apart from that obviously
the bodymake and everything is like totally cool and amazing.
You have to be careful when you are using Gimbal against strong winds because it actually
loses its control and be very careful about the phone as it might invite some damages
to the phone.
I just feel the gimbal is on a heavier side because for a guy like me who is decently
built even my forearms started aching when i was shooting the timelapse the other day.
So i really wonder what it would be like for a thinner guy to hold it across for a minute
or two walking or running around.
It might ache your forearm so that is something which i would really prefer Uoplay takes into
consideration while making the next version.
There is this thing about face track which i noticed so when i start moving around in
a faster way then there is a bit of lag that happens but i really think that is somewhat
you can consider for all the better things that the Gimbal is offering.
So i really think you guys should go for this.
Atleast guys with requirements like me who wants to have a decent Gimbal at a decent
price with the feature of GoPro support as well which is not there in DJI Osmo again.
Personally i am a big fan of DJI since i have been using their drone but i really expected
them to work on that GoPro support as well and since they didnt offer that i went for
Uoplay 2 and it really worked for me in terms of price as well as the features.
So i really think it was a win-win situation for me in all aspects.
Thats about it.
Guys before you plan to buy this amazing stabilizer a quick tip on where to buy it from.
So i checked on various websites like ebay and their other competitors but i must say
that there is this seller called thanksbuyer-hobby from ebay.com who is offering for 299$ for
the newer version i.e.
Uoplay 2 but whereas in other websites for the earlier versions they are offering in
the range of 399$ - 450$ so you are buying the older version for 150$ extra in other
websites and here this seller is offering for 299$.
So i really recommend this steal deal to one and all of you.
Please do check it out and save yourself some money.

Trump scrambles to find top national security aide February 17, 2017 - Duration: 10:58.Trump scrambles to find top national security aide
U.S. President Donald Trump, scrambling to find a new top security aide after firing
his first one and being spurned by another candidate, said on Friday he has four people
under consideration including acting national security adviser Keith Kellogg.
Trump ousted Michael Flynn on Monday in a controversy over the retired lieutenant general's
contacts with Russia.
Retired Vice Admiral Robert Harward on Thursday turned down the Republican president's offer
to replace Flynn.
"General Keith Kellogg, who I have known for a long time, is very much in play for NSA
- as are three others," Trump said on Twitter, without naming the other candidates.
Former CIA chief David Petraeus was previously identified as a candidate by a White House
official.
Former U.S. National Security Agency head Keith Alexander and former supreme allied
commander in Europe James Jones, who held the national security adviser post under former
Democratic President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2010, were also thought to be under consideration.
Both are retired generals.
Two others also thought to be in contention were former U.S. ambassador to the United
Nations John Bolton and Lieutenant General H.R. McMaster, who holds a senior post with
the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command.
Kellogg, a retired lieutenant general who is currently chief of staff of the White House
National Security Council, accompanied Trump on a trip to South Carolina on Friday before
heading to Florida.
He stepped into the national security adviser role on an acting basis after Flynn's firing.
Trump may meet with candidates for the post during his weekend visit to Florida, a White
House official told reporters.
Petraeus held command posts in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and served as CIA director
under Obama.
He quit as CIA chief in 2012 and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of mishandling classified
materials relating to documents he had given his biographer, with whom he had an affair.
Harward, a senior executive at Lockheed Martin and former Navy SEAL, declined Trump's offer
in part because he wanted to bring in his own team, according to two sources familiar
with Harward's decision.
The White House chief of staff, Reince Priebus, told Fox News on Friday that Harward's family
"didn't sign off" on him taking the job.
"That's all it is," Priebus said.
ACCESS TO THE PRESIDENT
Richard Haass, who held senior White House and State Department posts under Republican
presidents and now heads the Council on Foreign Relations, said on Twitter the new national
security advisor should insist on the right to choose staff members and have unlimited
access to the president.
Haass, who Trump considered for a job in his administration, also called for rescinding
a directive from the president that gave Trump's chief White House strategist, Steve Bannon,
a seat on the National Security Council, a move condemned by Democrats.
Trump's administration has been dealing with the fallout from Flynn's departure for much
of the week.
Flynn, a close adviser to Trump during his presidential campaign last year, was seen
by Moscow as a leading advocate of friendlier ties with Russia.
Trump said on Thursday he fired Flynn because he had misled Vice President Mike Pence about
conversations he had with the Russian ambassador to the United States, before Trump took office,
about sanctions imposed by Obama's administration.
Trump has defended Flynn's actual contact with the ambassador, saying what he did "wasn't
wrong."
The Washington Post reported on Thursday that Flynn told FBI agents last month that he had
not discussed sanctions with the ambassador.
Flynn's Jan. 24 interview with the FBI could expose him to charges, since lying to the
agency is a felony, but any decision to prosecute would lie with the Justice Department.
Senate confirms Trump's EPA pick as White House targets regulation
The U.S. Senate confirmed President Donald Trump's pick to run the Environmental Protection
Agency on Friday over the objections of Democrats and environmentalists worried he will gut
the agency, as the administration readies executive orders to ease regulation on drillers
and miners.
Senators voted 52-46 to approve Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt.
Senator John Barrasso, a Republican and the head of the chamber's environment committee,
said Pruitt would improve the EPA by reforming and modernizing it.
Only one Republican, Senator Susan Collins of Maine, voted against Pruitt.
Two Democrats from energy-producing states, Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Heidi Heitkamp
of North Dakota, voted for his confirmation.
Pruitt was to be sworn in later on Friday afternoon.
The nomination of Pruitt, who sued the EPA more than a dozen times on behalf of his oil-producing
state and has doubted the science of climate change, sparked widespread concern in progressive
circles, and has upset many former and current agency employees.
Nearly 800 former EPA staff urged the Senate to reject him in a letter this week, saying
Pruitt had "shown no interest in enforcing environmental laws."
Earlier this month, about 30 current employees at an EPA regional office in Chicago joined
a protest against Pruitt held by green groups.
Trump is likely to issue executive orders as soon as next week to reshape the EPA, sources
said.
The Republican president has promised to kill former Democratic President Barack Obama's
Clean Power Plan, currently held up in the courts, that aims to slash carbon emissions
from coal and natural gas fired power plants.
Trump also wants to give states more authority over environmental issues by striking down
federal regulations on drilling technologies and getting rid of an Obama rule that sought
to clarify the EPA's jurisdiction over streams and rivers.
'OVERZEALOUS' AGENCY
Conservatives warmly welcomed Pruitt's confirmation.
"For far too long the EPA has acted in an overzealous manner, ignoring the separation
of powers, the role of states and the rights property owners," said Nick Loris, an economist
at the Heritage Foundation.
Democratic Senator Ben Cardin, however, said he was concerned that if the administration
does not enforce emissions cuts such as outlined in the Clean Power Plan, it would increase
U.S. pollution and harm the country's leadership in international efforts to curb climate change.
Opponents of Pruitt also protested his ties to the energy industry.
Republicans have the majority in the Senate, but Democrats spoke through Thursday night
and Friday morning on the Senate floor, trying to extend debate on Pruitt until later in
February when 3,000 emails between him and energy companies will likely be revealed by
a judge.
An Oklahoma judge ruled this week that Pruitt will have to turn over the emails between
his office and energy companies by Tuesday after a watchdog group, the Center for Media
and Democracy, sued for their release.
The judge will review the emails before releasing them.
Democratic Senate leader Chuck Schumer told reporters that Majority Leader Senator Mitch
McConnell had moved to "strap blinders" on his fellow Republicans by not waiting for
the release of Pruitt's emails.
Environmentalists decried the approval.
"If you don't believe in climate science, you don't belong at the EPA," said May Boeve,
the head of environmentalist group 350.org.
More anti-Trump rallies planned in U.S. cities
A second consecutive day of protests against U.S. President Donald Trump's month-old administration
will unfold on Friday in cities across the country, with activists urging Americans to
skip work and school in a show of dissent.
Strike4Democracy, one of the groups organizing what it calls the #F17 General Strike, said
more than 100 public protests were expected.
About 16,000 people responded to a Facebook page for a march at New York's Washington
Square Park on Friday.
"This is how we stop Trump and the entire corrupt political establishment before they
destroy us and the planet we call home," the F17 Facebook page said.
Protests also were planned in large and small cities across the country, including Chicago,
New Orleans and Mason City, Iowa.
Strike4Democracy urged Americans to stay away from work if possible and take part in a community
service.
It suggested people refrain from making purchases and instead donate their lunch money to a
worthy cause and contact congressional representatives about the strike.
Michelle Rodino-Colocino, an organizer for Strike4Democracy, told NBC News that after
the idea of a "general strike" was floated online, it took off on its own, with dozens
of organizers working independently to stage events.
The Strike4Democracy website said the protest was aimed at halting "the authoritarian assault
on our fundamental, constitutional rights" and the victimization of women, Muslims, immigrants
and others.
The planned actions follow the Day Without Immigrants nationwide protest on Thursday
against Trump's immigration policies.
Businesses shut their doors, students skipped class and thousands of demonstrators gathered
to highlight the importance of immigrants to the U.S. economy.
Trump, who took office last month, has signed an executive order temporarily banning entry
to the United States by travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries and all refugees.
Federal appeals court judges have temporarily blocked the travel ban.
Since his Jan. 20 inauguration, Trump has faced a steady stream of protests and marches,
highlighted by a series of mass rallies that drew hundreds of thousands of people on
the day after he was sworn in.

White House to conduct review of intelligence agencies - Duration: 1:55.White House to conduct review of intelligence agencies.
By GABBY MORRONGIELLO.
President Trump is expected to ask New York hedge fund manager Stephen Feinberg to lead
a close review of U.S. intelligence agencies, which the president has accused of leaking
sensitive information to members of the press.
Feinberg, a member of the president's economic advisory council, has remained close to several
senior White House aides and Trump himself.
If tapped for the role, he will join them inside the West Wing for the duration of the
review.
The New York Times was first to report the possible hiring.
News that Trump is considering a review of the intelligence community came after he intensified
his attacks on the community this week amid the scandal involving ousted White House national
security adviser Mike Flynn.
The administration believes intelligence officials who oppose Trump have illegally shared sensitive
information with reporters to sabotage the president and his staff.
"The spotlight has finally been put on the low-life leakers!
They will be caught!" Trump tweeted Thursday morning.
Feinberg had previously been floated as a contender for CIA director until the president
nominated Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Kan., for the top intelligence position.
Current and former intelligence officials told the Times that Trump's nominee for Director
of National Intelligence, former Sen. Dan Coats, was displeased to learn that the president
is considering an outside review of intelligence agencies.

Starting New Schools in DPS - Duration: 2:15.Hey, Denver!
Our goal is to have great schools in every neighborhood,
so we invest in our teachers, leaders and schools to make them the best they can be.
With that, how do we start new schools, and why?
Sometimes, new schools are needed as neighborhoods and families grow and change…
In a very few cases, when a school isn't as successful as we need it to be for our
kids, we may restart a school.
It all happens through a process called "The Call for New Quality Schools"
Or 'The Call" for short.
DPS finds inspiring educators with a passion for creating new schools to serve Denver's
kids.
We share information about where new schools are needed most, and review applications according
to a rigorous standard for quality.
New schools must be great for all kids, including students learning English, those with disabilities
and those who need lots of help to catch up.
Community involvement is essential to The Call.
New school applicants reach out to the community they hope to serve…
And together, they put their vision and expertise to work in designing new schools.
The board approves only the highest quality applications….
And then decides which of these approved, high-quality schools will be placed in a DPS
facility.
We use the Facility Allocation Policy to match schools with communities.
This policy ensures that we are selecting board-approved, high-quality schools that
meet top priority needs for DPS facilities.
We do this in partnership with families and community members to make sure they have a
say in choosing the great new schools that will serve their neighborhoods.
We encourage all of you to participate in the Call process, and to make your voices
heard in an important decision that can have a lasting impact on kids…
finding a new, high-quality school that's the right fit for your community.
