Waching daily Feb 14 2017

Shaving preps-- to most of us, they are gels and foams.

We dab them on before shaving and occasionally wonder why.

Skin is soft and malleable.

But those hairs are not.

Rub your hand across stubble, and it feels sharp.

That's because dry beard hair is as tough as copper wire.

And unlike an electrician dealing with three or four strands at a time,

a man can shave through up to 25,000 face hairs each day.

Cutting such tough, hard hairs is a challenge in itself.

Achieving a close, smooth finish without harming the soft skin around them

requires more than a sharp blade.

This is where the shaving prep comes in, performing four key tasks.

Firstly, it hydrates, retaining moisture in the beard hair during the shave so

less force is needed to cut each hair.

Secondly, it lubricates, creating a thin layer of protection

between the blades and the skin, ensuring less friction

and helping to minimize the risk of redness, irritation,

and nicks and cuts.

Thirdly, it tracks.

Each stroke removes the foam, showing where you

have shaved so you don't miss a spot.

And finally, it leaves the skin feeling soothed and refreshed.

Some men prefer the traditional foam.

It creates instant airy lather that is really easily rinsed the way.

Others prefer the richer lather of a gel.

Its advanced lubricants provide enhanced glide and protection.

Each to his own.

Every face is different.

Choose the level of lubrication and scent

to suit your skin and shaving preference.

But either way-- gel or foam-- there's no question that the use of shave prep

results in a better shave.

BREAKING Obama's Plan to SABOTAGE Trump's Presidency EXPOSED No Former President Has Ever Done This - Duration: 2:39.

BREAKING Obamas Plan to SABOTAGE Trumps Presidency EXPOSED No Former President Has

Ever Done This

By Lindsey Bruce

Obama was lying when he said that he would stay out of Trumps presidency and only

speak up when he felt the need to.

Obama is doing a lot more than speaking up, he is mobilizing an army.

The New York Post confirms that Obama will be leading an Anti-Trump organization 30,000

strong!

Obama isnt just staying behind in Washington.

Hes working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government

to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration

and its popular America First agenda.

Hes doing it through a network of leftist nonprofits led by Organizing for Action.

Normally youd expect an organization set up to support a politician and his agenda

to close up shop after that candidate leaves office, but not Obamas OFA.

Rather, its gearing up for battle, with a growing war chest and more than 250 offices

across the country.

OFA has been behind nearly ALL of the big anti-Trump protests.

The group is run by former Obama aids and campaign workers, but Obama personally leads

the fight.

Obama is intimately involved in OFA operations and even tweets from the groups account.

In fact, he gave marching orders to OFA foot soldiers following Trumps upset victory.

Federal tax records show nonpartisan OFA marshals 32,525 volunteers nationwide.

The group is registered as a 501(c)(4), meaning it doesnt have to disclose its donors,

but they are more than well funded.

OFA has raised more than $40 million in contributions and grants since evolving from Obamas campaign

organization Obama for America in 2013.

For a former president to scheme and mobilize an entire shadow government against

a sitting president is unprecedented.

Obama is using intel and connections he has accumulated as president over the last 8 years

to take down President Trump.

This is pure treason.

Posterior urethral valve (PUV) - causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, pathology - Duration: 4:59.

Posterior urethral valve, or PUV, is a congenital disorder in boys where the posterior urethra,

which is the section of the urethra nearest the bladder, is obstructed by membranous folds,

or flaps of tissue.

These flaps of tissue are collectively referred to as a congenital obstructive posterior urethral

membrane, or COPUM.

This blockage means urine can't easily flow out, which leads to a backup of urine which

can cause kidney problems, as well as less amniotic fluid which can cause respiratory

problems.

Although the cause of PUV isn't completely understood, it's thought that normal development

of the male urethra is disrupted between weeks 9 and 14 of gestation.

Normal development involves the Wolffian duct integrating with the posterior urethra, which

results in thin mucosal folds called plicae colliculi.

It's thought that PUV might result from abnormal integration of the wolffian duct,

resulting in large plicae colliculi that fuse anteriorly, making it more difficult for urine

to flow through.

When that urine can't easily flow out because of increased resistance from an obstruction,

the intravesical pressure, or bladder pressure, starts to creep up.

Holding urine under higher pressure leads to bladder wall hypertrophy and collagen deposition,

both of which thicken the bladder wall.

This thickening makes the bladder less compliant, meaning that small increases in urine volume

causes large increases in bladder pressure, which makes the problem even worse.

That high-pressure urine has nowhere to go but up to the ureters and eventually to the

kidneys, causing hydronephrosis, which is the swelling of a kidney due to a buildup

of urine.

In PUV, since the bladder outlet is obstructed, the hydronephrosis is bilateral, meaning it

affects both kidneys.

Severe obstruction in utero can also lead to oligohydramnios, which is a low volume

of amniotic fluid, since normally a significant proportion of amniotic fluid comes from fetal

urine, and also, that amniotic fluid normally gets breathed into the developing lungs, which

helps expand the airways and also provides the amino acid proline, and both of these

things are critical to normal lung development.

Therefore with less amniotic fluid, the lungs may not develop completely, called lung hypoplasia,

and as a result some newborns have respiratory distress.

Another complication of PUV includes vesicoureteral reflux, since increased bladder pressure can

also lead to dysfunction of the ureterovesical junction, where the ureters enter the bladder,

which results in reflux of urine back up into the ureters and the kidneys.

PUV also causes urinary stasis which can allow bacteria to enter the urinary tract and cause

a urinary tract infection.

Over time, recurring infections and injury to the kidneys can lead to chronic kidney

disease, which might progress to end-stage renal disease.

Often PUV can be diagnosed by prenatal ultrasound, which can show a dilated bladder, thickened

bladder wall, and bilateral hydronephrosis.

If not found prenatally, though, postnatal diagnosis might be done by voiding cystourethrogram,

or VCUG, which shows a dilated and elongated posterior urethra.

Treatment involves surgery and ablation of the membrane, which allows urine to flow through

unobstructed.

Prenatal surgery can be risky, so it's typically reserved for severe cases of oligohydramnios

and possible lung hypoplasia.

Postnatally, the standard surgery is transurethral catheter ablation.

Alright, as a quick recap, posterior urethral valve, sometimes more descriptively referred

to as a congenital obstructive posterior urethral membrane, is a congenital condition in boys

where membranous folds obstruct the normal flow of urine and this leads to bladder outlet

obstruction, which causes high bladder pressure, which can cause vesicoureteral reflux, which

results in reflux of urine back up into the ureters and kidneys, that obstruction also,

though, leads to urinary stasis which can lead to recurrent urinary tract infections

and

Bipolar disorder (depression & mania) - causes, symptoms, treatment & pathology - Duration: 6:55.

Maybe you've heard the term "bipolar" used to describe someone who's moody, or

who has mood swings, but this colloquial use of the term is really different from bipolar

disorder.

Bipolar disorder, which used to be called manic depression, is a serious mental illness

that causes a person to have dramatic shifts in emotions, mood, and energy levels: moving

from extreme lows to extreme highs.

But these shifts don't happen moment to moment, they usually happen over several days

or weeks.

There are a few different types of bipolar disorders, but there are some common features.

First, the low moods are identical to those in a related disorder - major depressive disorder,

also known as unipolar depression.

Individuals with this can feel hopeless and discouraged, lack energy and mental focus,

and can have physical symptoms like eating and sleeping too much or too little.

But along with these lows, the thing that sets bipolar disorders apart from unipolar

depression is that individuals can have periods of high moods, which are called manic episodes

or hypomanic episodes, depending on their level of severity.

In a manic state, people can feel energetic, overly happy or optimistic, even euphoric

with really high self-esteem.

And on the surface, these might seem like very positive characteristics, but when an

individual is in a full manic episode, these symptoms can reach a dangerous extreme.

A person experiencing mania might invest all of their money in a risky business venture

or behave recklessly.

Individuals might talk pressured speech, where they talk constantly at a rapid-fire pace,

or they might have racing thoughts and might feel 'wired,' as if they don't need

sleep.

Manic episodes can also include delusions of grandeur, for example they might believe

that they are on a personal mission from god, or that they have supernatural power.

And they might make poor decisions without any regard for later consequences.

One way to understand these swings is by charting them on a graph.

So let's say y-axis is mood, with mania and depression being on the far ends of the

axis, and the x-axis is time.

The average healthy individual might have normal ups and downs throughout their life,

and they might even have some pretty serious lows once-in-awhile, maybe after losing a

job or moving to a new place and feeling lonely.

An individual with unipolar depression though, might have the normal highs, but they might

have some crushing lows that last for a long period of time and may not have an obvious

trigger.

Now, for the bipolar disorders, the first one is called Bipolar 1, and these are people

that have some major lows that last at least 2 weeks, and some major highs that last at

least a week or require hospitalization.

That said, untreated manic episodes can last as long as 3-6 months.

Depression is seen in most cases, but is not required for a diagnosis.

The second one is called Bipolar-2, and this is when a person experiences similar lows,

and has additional highs called "hypomania", which are less severe manic episodes than

we see in Bipolar 1.

To qualify for a diagnosis, these hypomanic states need to last at least four days.

Once again though, these symptoms generally last a few weeks to a few months.

Alright the third one is called cyclothymia, or sometimes cyclothymic disorder, and these

individuals have milder lows as well as the milder highs or "hypomania" like you see

in Bipolar-2, and they cycle back and forth between these two over a period lasting at

least 2 years.

Sometimes, people with Bipolar disorder can show other, less common symptoms as well,

for example having what are referred to as mixed episodes—experiencing symptoms of

both depression and mania at the same time.

Another symptom they might have is rapid cycling, which describes a situation where a person

has 4 or more episodes of depression or mania within a given year.

Like most mental health conditions, the exact underlying cause of bipolar disorder isn't

known, and there is no single "bipolar gene" identified, but it's thought that there

are genetic and environmental factors that play a part.

For example, one interesting clue is that people with family members who have bipolar

disorder are 10 times more likely to have it themselves.

Another clue is that some drugs and medications can trigger manic episodes, like selective

serotonin reuptake inhibitors (or SSRIs).

It's also worth mentioning that people with bipolar disorder often have other disorders

like anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, ADHD, and personality disorders as well, making

diagnosis and treatment a real challenge.

Even though there's no cure for bipolar disorder, identifying and treating individuals

is really important, since there's a real danger that the person could harm themselves

or commit suicide.

One of the oldest treatments is also one of the most effective treatments, and that's

lithium salts.

Lithium acts as a mood stabilizer—smoothing out the highs and lows they experience.

That said, it is much better at treating manic rather than depressive episodes, and so individuals

who take it often have to take other medications as well, which can be problematic since some

antidepressants (like the SSRIs) can trigger manic episodes in individuals who are predisposed

to them.

Other treatment options include antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, and benzodiazepines, but

many of these—including lithium—have side effects that can be severe and lead to non-adherence

which can be dangerous for an individual.

Now, unlike certain disorders like unipolar depression, psychological interventions, like

talk therapy, or cognitive-behavioral therapy are not particularly effective in treating

the manic episodes of bipolar disorder.

Having said that, they can still be very helpful tools to help individuals with bipolar disorder

in general—especially after a manic episode has ended.

They can also help an individual handle stressful situations that might otherwise lead a manic

episode, thereby helping to prevent a potential manic episode in the first place.

periods of lowered mood, as well as mania, periods of heightened mood.

Why is School So Stressful? - Duration: 5:22.

Why is school so stressful? I'll tell you one thing: it's not because of the homework!

Welcome back to CapOhTV, the channel where we know school is a joke, and you don't want to be the punchline.

The reason why school is so stressful is going to vary from person to person, but I think these five reasons will apply to everyone at some point in their school career.

Reason number one school is so stressful: Relationships!

Now I don't only mean romantic relationships.

I know we've all had that class where you get put in a seat around four or five people that you absolutely hate.

But you have to have a relationship with them because the school says so.

That is, you're forced to be around people you wouldn't otherwise want to be around.

Now a lot of people are stressed out by that, me included!

I mean, as an adult you have better social skills so you can handle it a little better.

But when you're still in school, that's the worst thing in the world to have to be around people that you don't like.

And what does that lead to? I'm sure you all know the word!

DRAMA!

And that's only one reason why school is so stressful.

Let's go on to reasons two through five!

The number two reason why school is so stressful: Time!

School starts early and school ends late.

Now your parents or other adults will say, "Oh, well, school is just like having a job, man, you've got to get used to that schedule."

But guess what? NO YOU DON'T!

That's just insane!

Why do kids have to forced to be in a building for that many hours a week?

That's sometimes more than 40 hours a week!

You've probably heard your teachers say, "Hurry, hurry, we're running out of time! We have to get on to the next unit, the next chapter! We're going to run out of time!"

Because they're crunched for time.

Time is a valuable thing, you can never get it back, and that is stressful, no matter who you are or where you are.

Now for all you scientists out there, here's reason number three why school is stressful, it's related to time, it's Space.

Now you know time doesn't really exist, time is a function of space.

And in school, space is just as precious as time.

How much personal space do you think you have in school?

I'll tell you this, you have, on average, less personal space than a common prisoner.

According to the American Correctional Association, the guidelines for prisons, an inmate has to have 70 square feet of space, with 35 square feet of that being "Open".

On average, a school room is 900 square feet and that's for 25 students and 1 teacher.

That is 34.6 square feet per person!

So, there you go!

And notice that I said that's for 25 students and 1 teacher.

How many of you are in classes with 29, 30, 31 students, where all the desks are so crammed together that you can't move your elbows without knocking over your friend's pencil?

If you just had more space, people would be a lot more comfortable and it would be a better

learning environment because you won't feel like other people are crowding you out.

Overcrowding is stressful. That's why I will never live in a city.

Reason number four why school is stressful: Rules, rules, rules.

The more rules you have, the more criminals there will be.

And the more criminals, the more stressful the entire environment becomes.

Most school rules are leftovers from a time gone by or there only in place to control you.

For example, stupid school rules: No hats. No food or drink. You're not allowed to use the bathroom without permission.

I'm going to make a separate video about all of these so I don't want to give too much away.

But all of these rules only serve to control the student.

And school is like a prison, I mean, come on.

I still haven't made a video about that either, which I will eventually.

But school is just a mini-prison for kids.

You know what I've heard? Prison is stressful.

And finally reason number five why school is so stressful: Grades and standardized tests.

In my video recently called "Why Grades Don't Matter (Except When They Do)" I kind of talked about grades a little bit.

Grades are stressful because you're made to think they're the end-all-be-all of your entire life.

If you don't get good grades, then you're going nowhere!

And do I really need to say much about standardized tests and testing in general?

A lot of what you do in school nowadays is only in preparation for a test.

I don't think I was in a class where the teacher didn't say, "You better know this because it's going to be on the test!"

"You better learn how to do this, blah-blah-blah-blah-blah."

It's always about a test, something coming up in the future that will measure how good of a student you are.

Those things don't really measure how good of a student you are.

They don't.

What other reasons do you have for why school is stressful?

Leave a comment down below, we'll talk about that.

The great continuum of services for Minnesotans with disabilities is getting changed - Duration: 0:53.

I love the continuum we have when we can be center-based, center-based employment DTH

employment to enclaves to supported employment services on into full placement.

It's a great continuum, but that is getting all changed.

Everything is completely changed.

They're really taking away, in every way you can think of, they're trying to really dismantle

employment DT&H, center-based employment DT&H.

They're trying to actually create three new employment programs out of the one there's

currently today: development, exploratory and supports.

So, there are really a lot of changes going on.

It's just the way it is.

Like I said, I don't know what we're going to do.

We need to really get the legislature, to try to impress upon them the need to change

this stuff.

After Refusing Trumps Order, Starbucks Just Got TERRIBLE News Thatll Ruin Them

By Paris Swade.

Democrats shed huge crocodile tears after 109 of the 32,000 foreign passengers were

detained at U.S. airports this weekend.

The fake news media isnt covering the fact that Obama banned Iraqi refugees for six months

in 2011 and Democrats didnt say a damn thing.

Starbucks Corp CEO Howard Schultz said that the company plans to hire 10,000 refugees

over the next five years.

According to Bloomberg, Starbucks CEO Howard Schulz said that the company will hire 10,000

refugees over the next five years in response to Trump ordering a suspension of refugees

into the U.S.

Starbucks is in direct conflict with the immigration ban and will do everything possible to

support and help them to navigate through this confusing period, said Schultz.

If Starbucks decides to hire employees based on nationality that is against the law.

That violates U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission rules, according to The Gateway

Pundit.

According to the EEOC: Under the laws enforced by EEOC, it is illegal to discriminate against

someone (applicant or employee) because of that persons race, color, religion, sex

(including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or
