Cristiano Ronaldo And Lionel Messi's Record Against Iceland Is Truly Ridiculous

The two best footballers of our generation have fared miserably against Iceland.

Iceland debuted at a major tournament in 2016.

The Scandinavian minnows participated at the European Championships in 2016, where they famously dumped out England to reach the quarter-finals.

As well as facing England, Iceland also played eventual competition winners Portugal in the Group Stage, drawing 1-1.

Iceland drew level after a goal from Nani.

Two years later, Iceland made their bow at a World Cup, opening their campaign against Argentina.

Again, drawing 1-1.

And, again, coming from one-down to secure a point.

Alfred Finnbogason netted following Sergio Agueros first World Cup goal.

Argentina heaped on a huge amount of pressure in search for a second goal, which included 11 shots from Lionel Messi.

The Barcelona star failed to find the back of the net, even fluffing his lines from the spot.

Hannes Thor Halldorsson prevented Messi from scoring his first goal at the 2018 World Cup.

Iceland showed defensive grit in stopping Argentina from scoring again.

The same spirit was shown against Portugal at the Euros, with Cristiano Ronaldo also unable to get on the score-sheet.

On that day in 2016, Ronaldo took 10 shots to no prevail.

Thats a combined 21 shots between Ronaldo & Messi vs.

Iceland and not a single goal.

After recording a point against Argentina, Iceland are back in action versus Nigeria on Friday before taking on Croatia the following Tuesday.

Will we see the Iceland thunderclap in the knockout stages?.

Hi I'm Suzie Carr, and thank you so much for checking out my Patreon page. So what

is a patreon page and why do I have one? A Patreon page is a place for artists to

ask the community for help in the form of resources to help provide high

quality content to them. And so the reason why I have a Patreon page is

because I produce a lot a free monthly content in the form of blog posts, in the

form of two podcasts at The Curvy Life and Curves Welcome, motivational videos

on YouTube, and lesbian fiction novels. In order to produce this content, it requires

a lot of resources. And also it requires great personal sacrifice to both myself

and my family. This world is such a negative place if we allow it to be. And

the kind of content that I'm producing is content that I'm hoping will actually

shed some positive light on those who listen and read. And it's my true desire

to be able to share this content, to be able to learn as much as I can about the

world and share that back with you. So that's where you come in. And that's

where I'm asking for your help in the form of a donation. A monthly donation. If

you do decide to donate there are benefits, there are gifts. And you can

check those out on my Patreon page in the right hand column. So that's it. I

just want to say thank you so much for giving me a little bit of time today and

also just have a great day. Remember to keep smiling, keep learning, keep sharing

the goodness in life's curves. Thank you so much for your support.

Beauty is in the eye of the gasholder for Oval cricket fans - Duration: 1:25.

In his own inimitable manner, Henry Blofeld once summed up the mounting tension at the Oval cricket ground by claiming fans were so quiet as a bowler delivered that "you can hear the creak of the gasometer"

For more than a century, that iconic towering skeletal frame that looms over the pitch has been synonymous with Test match cricket

But under controversial plans now given the green light, the Grade II listed structure is to be dismantled and rebuilt with a modern block of flats tucked inside its frame

Mr Blofeld, the 78-year-old retired cricket commentator, said the planned changes to the cricketing world's most famous skyline is a "tremendous pity" that will see him "shed a tear"

 Cricketing.
