Manafort Just Got Devastating News After Being Jailed – May Be There For Life After What

Else Dems Did.

President Trump's former election campaign manager, Paul Manafort, got some really bad

news yesterday.

His bail was revoked due to alleged witness tampering and he will be in jail until at

least next September when his trial for 40 varied counts against him takes place.

This is after top Mueller prosecutor Andrew Weissmann, a crooked attorney and staunch

Hillary Clinton supporter who attended her election night party, petitioned the court

to toss Manafort in jail.

If the 69-year-old is found guilty, he may very well never see the outside world again.

Unless of course, according to Robert Mueller, he flips on President Trump.

Manafort is a long-time Republican operative and businessman.

He is well known in DC circles and has been for decades.

He's also become the number one target of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation

into Russia's role in the 2016 election and whether there was any collusion between

the Trump campaign and Russia.

There wasn't, but for over a year and a half, Mueller has tried to make it stick.

Manafort has been indicted on mostly financial-related charges, including conspiring to launder money

and defraud the United States.

These charges go back more than 12 years and are arguably far outside of Mueller's stated

purview in this matter.

Manafort has pleaded not guilty on all counts and has until this week been under home confinement

in Virginia.

He was required to wear an electronic monitoring device.

But last week, Mueller charged him with witness tampering in the case.

Manafort pleaded not guilty to that charge on Friday, but U.S. District Judge Amy Berman

Jackson in Washington revoked his bail, sending him to jail.

"I have no appetite for this … But in the end, I cannot turn a blind eye," she

said.

"You've abused the trust placed in you."

Right.

I think she has a huge appetite for this and is in cahoots with Mueller.

From Gateway Pundit: "Former Watergate prosecutor Nick Akerman

said on Friday that Paul Manafort may never again "see the outside of a jail cell"

after his house arrest arrangement was revoked on Friday.

"President Trump's former campaign chairman appeared in court after special counsel Robert

Mueller asked a judge to revoke his pretrial release conditions, accusing him of attempting

to tamper with potential witnesses.

"During the hearing, the judge revoked Manafort's bail and ordered him to jail.

""Just to put this in historical perspective, what broke the Watergate case was when James

McCord got a 25-year sentence," Akerman said when asked about the hearing while appearing

on MSNBC's "Velshi & Ruhle."

"He was one of the Watergate burglars.

He got a 25-year sentence.

He was sitting in jail because that's what made him crack and cooperate."

"But Akerman noted that Manafort, who is 69 years old, could soon be facing life in

jail."

Manafort did not react to his bail being revoked, other than to briefly wave to his wife before

they herded him out a door in the back of the crowded courtroom, witnesses said.

His spokesman did not respond to requests for comment on the decision.

Manafort's legal defense fund asked in a Twitter post, "Why is he the target of a

partisan investigation?"

In other words, this is a political witch hunt and Manafort is going to be sacrificed

for it by Mueller.

President Trump was very unhappy at the turn of events and said that it was unfair to send

Manafort to jail.

"Wow, what a tough sentence for Paul Manafort," Trump wrote on Twitter.

"Didn't know Manafort was the head of the Mob," Trump wrote.

"Very unfair!"

Rumor has it that President Trump may pardon Manafort.

Giuliani has hinted at it as well.

If that happens, the left is going to explode.

There has not been one shred of credible evidence that ties Trump or his campaign to the Russians.

Mueller would love to get Manafort to give Trump up on a charge of obstruction of justice

or collusion.

It's not going to happen because there is not there.

Manafort is due to go on trial in Washington in September and faces another trial on related

charges in Virginia in July.

He may not be pure as the driven snow and he does do business with the Russians, but

that does not mean Trump does, nor does it mean Manafort broke the law.

Not only that but the charges they are going after Manafort on look like they are mostly

puffed up charges just to put him behind bars.

The charges against him in Washington include failing to register as a foreign agent for

the pro-Russia Ukrainian government under former President Viktor Yanukovych.

The very same thing that the Podestas are guilty of and yet they are walking around

free as a bird.

Manafort resigned in August 2016 following a news report he had received possibly illegal

payments from Yanukovych's political party.

Hours after Manafort's bail was revoked on Friday, Mueller's office told the court

it would introduce evidence at trial that Manafort sought to circumvent Ukrainian public

procurement law by masking the size of payments to a U.S. law firm that wrote a report aimed

at discrediting Yanukovych's chief political rival.

In a June 8 indictment, Manafort and longtime aide, Konstantin Kilimnik, were accused of

tampering with witnesses about their past lobbying for the Ukraine.

Kilimnik, whom Mueller's office says has ties to Russian intelligence, could not be

reached for comment.

They were accused of attempting to call, text and send encrypted messages starting in February

to two people from a political discussion group called the Hapsburg Group that worked

with Manafort to promote the Ukraine's interests in a bid to sway their testimony.

Manafort's attorneys think the evidence of witness tampering is very thin and weak.

Mueller may also go after Manafort for "falsely represented business expenses on his tax returns

and that Manafort, his business partner Richard Gates and Kilimnik structured loans between

Cypriot companies they controlled to avoid recognizing those funds as taxable income."

Mueller intends to 'Al Capone' Manafort.

Mueller wants Manafort to cut a plea deal and then cooperate in taking President Trump

down.

"Either he can double down in his resolve to fight it or it's the last straw and it

breaks his will and he decides to work out a plea bargain," Michael Zeldin, a former

federal prosecutor, told Reuters.

All of this smells to high heaven and just should not be allowed.

It's political persecution plain and simple.

Mario Gotze : Arsenal favourites to win Premier League charge for £18m Dortmund star ●News Now ●#AFC - Duration: 1:57.

Arsenal are favourites to land Mario Gotze ahead of their Premier League rivals.

Borussia Dortmund's attacking midfielder is available this summer.

And the Germany international is said to be keen on a fresh start in England.

Newcastle have been linked, along with West Ham, Everton and Leicester, who have all made

enquiries.

But Arsenal are said to be the frontrunners to land £18m-rated Gotze.

According to The Sunderland Echo, Newcastle are likely to miss out on the 26-year-old

with Arsenal favourites to snap him up.

Gotze has endured a difficult time in recent years with fitness problems.

And the 2014 World Cup winner ultimately missed out on a spot in Germany's squad for the

tournament in Russia.

Ex-Bayern Munich star Gotze wants to reignite his career in the Premier League.

And Arsenal, who can offer European football under Unai Emery, appear to have the advantage

in the race.

New signings are heading for the Emirates with head of recruitment Sven Mislintat working

hard.

His Bundesliga links, and specifically to Dortmund, could also help if Arsenal step

up their pursuit for Gotze.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang arrived for £55.5m from Dortmund in January, and centre-half

Sokratis Papastathopoulos is set to join for £16m in early July too.

Kell Brook vs. Jaime Munguia: Kell asking for trouble - Duration: 5:17.

Kell Brook vs. Jaime Munguia: Kell asking for trouble

Kell Brook (37-2, 26 KOs) will be looking to earn a title shot against WBO junior middleweight champion Jaimie Munguia (29-0, 25 KOs) when he faces Brandon 'Bad Boy' Cook (20-1, 13 Os) in a World Boxing Organization 154lbs title eliminator on July 28 on Sky Box Office at the O2 Arena in London, England.

Munguia isn't experienced at 21, but he's not a true junior middleweight.

Munguia is a middleweight, who can still melt down to 154.

Young fighters like Munguia are able to melt down to fight in weight classes that are well below their natural size.

Unfortunately, Brook can't take hard shots without falling apart physically, and he shouldn't be fighting at junior middleweight.

Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence Jr.

both damaged Brook by hitting him with heavy enough shots to fracture his eye sockets.

Brook really should go on a diet and go back down to 147, because that's the only chance he has of continuing to have success in the sport unless he's just looking for a cash out against Amir Khan.

Brook's promoter Eddie Hearn has him going in the wrong direction by targeting Munguia for a title eliminator, but he doesn't have much choice.

Brook is going to have to go after one of the champions sooner or later otherwise he's going to look like a joke.

I think it's going to be a real problem when Brook gets inside the ring with Munguia, as he's not a natural 154lb fighter like he's been saying he is.

Brook is little more than another welterweight like Sadam Ali, and we saw what Munguia did to him last month in scoring a 4th round knockout on May 12.

Brook can't afford to take the kinds of blasts that Munguia was nailing Sadam with.

Those punches were thrown with incredible power.

Munguia looked every bit as powerful as Gennady Golovkin, but taller and more aggressive.

If Brook gets hit as often as Sadam was getting hit, the fight is not going to last.

We'll be talking retirement for Brook, because there's nowhere he can go from there.

When you start losing against 21-year-old fighters, it's time to pack it in and walk away from the sport.

That's why it's a real gamble for Brook to fight Munguia.

Munguia, 21, has a mandatory defense coming up in July against former WBO champion Liam Smith (26-1-1, 14 KOs).

Some boxing fans are giving the 29-year-old Smith a decent shot at beating Munguia, but I think it's highly unlikely that he'll be able to pull off the win.

Munguia is too powerful and much too big for the 5'9 ½" Smith to handle him.

Smith has recent wins over Liam Williams, who is a big puncher as well, but he had rotten stamina and wasn't able to keep throwing punches after he faded in the early rounds.

Munguia will keep nailing Smith with shots until Smith gets tired of getting hit and falls apart.

Brook, 32, wants to become a mandatory challenger, and his best chance to win a world title is to go through 21-year-old WBO 154 lb champion Munguia.

Brook still needs to beat Cook to earn that shot.

If Cook has any kind of a chin, he could get Brook into the later rounds and cause him problems if he started connecting with his head shots.

However, it's still unlikely that Cook will have any success against Brook because he's never shown the kind of talent that would suggest that he can beat a world class level contender.
