Waching daily Feb 14 2017

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks English lesson.

Today I am giving you 5 common English sayings.

These are quite short and simple sayings we use in informal situations.

We use them in everyday English with our friends and our family.

So the first one is check it out.

Check it out.

This means basically look at this or watch this.

So usually if you're showing somebody something you would say check it out.

For example if you are going to do a back flip you might say check it out I can do a

back flip and show your friend.

It's usually used for quite impressive stuff or maybe if somebody is showing off.

The next one is why not.

Why not.

This is used as a nice way to agree to do something usually.

Your friend might say do you want to come to the pub later?

And you can say why not.

Yeah sure why not.

We are basically saying I can't think of any reasons not to so of course I will.

Why not.

The next one is no way.

No way.

This is used for two situations.

The first one is to disagree.

Say you are having an argument with your friend about what's better football or rugby.

You could say no way football is much better than rugby.

The second way of using no way is when you're surprised or shocked by something.

Maybe somebody in your family is telling you they've won a lot of money and you could say

no way that's amazing.

You're almost saying that's not possible or I don't believe you.

You're saying no way that's amazing.

The next one we have is chuck us.

This means can you pass me or can you give me.

Chuck us.

Maybe if you are at a party you might say chuck us a beer meaning pass me a beer.

Can you get me a beer.

The last one we have so number five is hang on.

Hang on.

This is an informal way of saying wait a moment or in a minute.

For example if you are reading a newspaper and your friend says chuck us the paper you

might say hang on I'm still reading it.

You need to remember these ones I have given you are more informal.

For example you wouldn't use hang on in a restaurant.

Maybe you are the waiter and the customer asks you for something you wouldn't use hang

on in this situation.

It would be rude to English people.

You would say please can you wait a moment.

So just remember these are great to use everyday in English with people you know.

American Pronunciation For Vietnamese - How To Pronounce American English - Duration: 4:49.

Xin chào - tôi là Professor T! I'm

sorry my Vietnamese is not very good! I

spent three months in Vietnam traveling

and I tried to learn some of the

language. While I was in Vietnam I was a

volunteer teacher at a school so I heard

the very hardworking Vietnamese students

have difficulty with certain words in

English and many wanted to learn to

speak American English. This video reviews

some of those problem words and I put

them in a sentence so we can study them

together. One word is "look" - "look" - it has

that "k" sound at the end. Also "visit"

"visit" where you have to make this

humming noise with the mouth - putting your

teeth on your lower lip - "visit" and that

final plosive "t" and another one is

"friend" - "friend" Ohh - these are different

mouth positions then you have in

Vietnamese so let's put these together

in a sentence and then we'll talk about

America versus American. So "Look at my

friend on his visit to America" - "Look at

my friend on his visit to America" - if you

can practice that sentence you'll

practice some of those hard to pronounce

words. It's important to note that

'Americaaaaaa" is a country and the people

who live there are "Americans" so if

you're talking about visiting Americaaa -

perhaps you're in an interview or taking

a test like the IELTS or the TOEFL, be

careful to pronounce country names

correctly

versus the name for the people who

live there I'm from America and I'm

American. Someone who is from France is

French and someone from England is

English. I'm an American - I'm from America

I speak American English and someone

who's from England speaks English and is

English and someone who is from France

speaks French and is French nationality.

Another quick tip - if a country name

begins with United, we put the word "the" -

article in front of it

I want to visit the United States - I want

to visit the United Kingdom - I want to

visit the United Arab Emirates - those are

a special case for countries. Other

countries also use this article of "the" - I

want to visit the Philippines or the

Philippines - I want to visit the

Netherlands (also known as Holland) but

with America it doesn't take that

article.

This is a old the rule in English and

it's often not taught very well in high

school or university but if you know how

to speak the country name and the people

who live there correctly, your English

will be stronger and more fluent. I've

done a whole series of videos for you

Vietnamese speakers so you can become more

fluent in American English and I've also

written a book for all Asian speakers -

it's the 37 most common mistakes that

speakers of Vietnamese, Chinese,

Korean and Thai

make in English and you can see

the link in the description below the

book can help you so please subscribe to

these series so I can help you learn how

to speak fluent American English!

English For Vietnamese - American English Pronunciation Lesson For Vietnamese Students - Duration: 2:48.

Xin chào - tên tôi là Professor T! This is

part of my series of American

pronunciation for Vietnamese students. I

visited Vietnam and really enjoyed it.

I was a volunteer teacher when I was

there and I noticed that some Vietnamese

students had problems hearing and saying

certain sounds in English so we're going

to focus on words that begin with "t". I

put them in a sentence that we can

practice the sentence is - "They throw a

thousand thick things that thrilled them."

That sound and mouth position is important

in English - the "th" - and it's not as common in

Asian languages so let's review some of

the words - "they" - you can see I'm sticking

out my tongue and making it

vibrate. I'm not doing this

that is the naughty sound in English but

words with "th" do use this mouth position

with "the", "they" and "thousand" and "thick"

"things" "that" "thrill" "them" if you can

practice this silly sentence you'll

remember how to pronounce these "th" words.

Let's review my sentence - "They throw a

thousand thick things that thrill them" - if

you practice these mouth positions with

your tongue sticking out of your teeth

every day and remember my face who that

will help you pronounce American English

more correctly. I've written a book for

speakers of Asian languages about 37

most common mistakes and you can see the

link to it in the description below. The

book can help you and I'm doing a series

of these videos especially for you my

friends from Vietnam so you can learn to

speak American English. Please subscribe

more together!

Transcendental Meditation Retreat for Women - Duration: 1:32.

I go to MUM, I study Vedic Science. I've been meditating since March 2013. This weekend

I got the opportunity to be at the residence course at the Mother Divine℠ campus. It

was such a really pleasant feeling and the experience was just so great. And I would

just like to encourage more women to come to the Mother Divine℠ retreat and just have

that quietness. The first day I came here I could feel that silence and it feels so

good and you just feel the changes right away before you even get into your meditation routine

and once you go into the routine it's just so effortless. And then you come to the last

day, which is today, and I feel so much happy and I just know that everything will be well.

He Cares ft. Steve Eager - Duration: 5:14.

I've been down this road before, I know that you've been too.

The sun doesn't shine like it once did, And you don't know what to do.

The rain it keeps on pouring, Through a window that just won't close.

You feel as if no one is there, And you wonder if anyone cares.

But I know – a way, To the One who cares.

And in your times of testing, You - may not understand.

But I know – a way, To the One who cares.

And with what you're going through, You need a helping hand.

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,

Shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus the Lord."

"Casting all your care on Him; for He careth for you."

Oh yes!

Jesus careth for you.

Now there's a sunrise in the morning, But you don't see it slip away.

Overshadowed by the burdens That come into your day.

And when the evening comes Having done all that you can do.

Oh yes!

*SCT doesn't approves this drama*

I guess nothing, because nothing will f♥cking work.

Phyxia how the f♥ck did you get here?!

Well, son, but he is right.

Father!

CryEngineer!

And you should head out somewhere, like, I don't know, maybe trade_plaza (Nope)

Let's get you a nice visual!

Man, that's not something you would find in the garbage dump!

Where did you found those?

*Ded*

Everything will be okay... To start everything nicely...

Just do the most cute smile you can.

*Warning for cuteness overload*

*I warned you*

Perfect.

Hey there, looking for the less handsome?

*An alternative version of Careless Whisper*

It is really good, Phyxia!

Just to make sure everything will be fine, let's keep right here, where none will see us.

Ain't that cute?

That's a nice name, Toot! So you are well known for making good "artisan masterpieces?"

That sounds interesting, while for me, I'm well known by

Bon voyage, Faggot!

Awesome! I'm also used to be like that as well, but geez...

*Oh f♥ck*

Bomb!

*Quickly dodges the Mann Cola spit while does the dong mask face*

*More bombs*

Guess it's up to me!

*Sentry is disappointed*

*I spent a bottle of coke for this?*

Where did they go?!

Well... As long my son will not get hurt, we should wait for him in his house.

*Did you think they were running in love on a nice field of magical flowers? That's unoriginal as f♥ck, man.*

I got to be honest...

I have never seen the sunset in Big City before

and meeting it for the first time, with some special like you, means a lot to me.

I also got a question.

"E V E R Y T H I N G W I L L B E O K A Y"

Would you like to date me?

*Activate ultra happiness a la Doctor Lalve*

*Boom*
