and i know that was a weird interesting

started video off but today is a pretty

cool day now the reason is because i

found out that captain underpants the

book that I read as a child of books and

probably many of you have read as a

child artist who was everyone to us i'm

pretty sure it is but if you know what

it is we would like you to tell me in

the comments below period as a child but

anyways continuing on

they're making a movie out of this now

the reason why this is such a big

beautiful is because it like you know

it's a crazy idea because i think they

stopped making captain underpants both

to fund not mistaken but anyways just

like a childhood look right so i was

reading this book in like 2,000 for

something like that's down the six

that's when I was really little right

and you know I didn't you know you would

expect to make a movie while the book

was big and stuff like that but i guess

not but today I was on Instagram just

looking through a bunch of things and I

saw this image of a captain underpants

movie and I thought that was pretty

interesting so that you know what today

I'm not going to be doing any normal

call of duty information because i do

have the past week I wanted to change it

up

that's not talking about this in this

movie seems like he's going to have

pretty good actors so we just searched

in Captain Underpants movie on google

you'll see Captain Underpants 2017

action flash superhero movie by the way

if you guys do not know what captain

underpants is basically a principal

transformed into a superhero Captain

Underpants literally a principal without

any hair while I think you like

daughters hair off i believe and then he

just you know you just a egg-shaped

human with underpants in the cape

I know it's pretty weird for you when

you think about it but trust me it was a

really good book whenever there's a kid

and by the way the release date of this

movie is jun 2nd 2017 during summer and

I gotta check so like I was saying the

cast is actually Kevin Hart for George

now and the book for those of you that

do not know there's 2i believe this to

students that I forgot Allah happened

i'm pretty sure they made captain

understand by do something that i forgot

the whole storyline but the two little

students that work together and I

believe they're like the Mallik

sidekicks but they basically run captain

depends are not explain it but yeah

Kevin Hart we playing George and Helms

will be playing mr. Crump or captain

underpants thomas middleditch will be

point Harold and then Jordan pili will

be playing more than I think he I think

him and somebody else had a youtube

channel

I only recognized camera heart and

Jordan pili but i do this movie seems

like it's a full production like the

getting the best actors they can and

stuff like that aren't necessarily cool

because i think something like that

happen

What is Ninjago? - The LEGO Ninjago Movie Explained - Duration: 6:03.

hey there everyone bar here we're going

to be taking a break from the usual

comedy show this week to do a slightly

more serious video in response to some

of the internets confusion regarding the

next entry into the lego movie franchise

we are currently at the precipice of

what i like to call the age of the brick

in a world that's filled with large and

expansive cinematic universes it's no

surprise that we're beginning to see a

growing trend of movies based around the

current Dominator in the toy industry

Lego and much like it's light-hearted

interlocking nature movie audiences are

clamoring for fun films with vast worlds

and interlocking stories and there's

really no better medium to tell us what

to tell them through that of the lego

brick lego films are becoming

increasingly more common and with two

huge critical successes in the lego

movie and the lego batman movie we're

coming to the crux of legos next big

venture the lego ninjago movie but

there's something inherently more

interesting about the Snowman particular

versus those that came before it if

you're watching this video from the

perspective of someone with a general

knowledge of the lego brick you likely

never heard of Ninjago or maybe you've

seen it in passing or you have kids who

are just fans of the themes

perhaps you enjoy the lego movie and the

lego batman movie seems like a

no-brainer but ninjago seems like an odd

choice to make a movie out of and this

is a perfectly understandable opinion to

have however for me as a lego

enthusiasts this movie is the most

exciting of the three but why what makes

the lego ninjago movie such a big deal

well it starts by understanding what

goes behind the products these films are

based off of and what ninjago represents

for the Lego company you see other three

lego movie the first movie represents a

sort of proof of concept something to

showcase the capacity to tell a story

using Lego as a medium it's sort of a

theatrical realization of what all those

band made stop motion videos and YouTube

could be with a budget behind them now

going forward Warner Brothers and lego

have to decide what to do next with the

medium now that the audience has

accepted this is something worthy of

their time

the second lego movie like a batman

movie is the obvious next step because

it's also the safest step that man is a

very well-established character with

nearly everyone in the general audience

understanding is most basic mythos and

allowing for easy time to adapt and poke

fun of the character in the quirks that

come with them Batman is marketable

popular and a staple of the letter said

since the mid-2000s but here's where

things start to get interesting

Batman much like Star Wars is an

established intellectual property

licensed out to let go for the purpose

of selling brick based products in that

properties image the lego brick is much

like the lego films medium used to sell

the product in a new way in this

instance the product is Batman but

ninjago on the other hand is not a

licensed property what makes ninjago and

in turn the lego ninjago movie special

is that it's the lego groups foray into

promoting and developing their own

original story like a group has a

history with those license and original

themes those study with Lego probably

know that at one point the company was

facing a financial crisis in the

nineties and it was at this time that

the company began looking into creating

new products but story to serve as its

backing and this came into being with

the lego star wars theme if they not

only saved like Oh from potential

bankruptcy but also inspire them to

develop and market in original story one

that didn't require a license to produce

this came in the form of bionicle so

let's fast forward a few years and get

back to ninjago ninjago is in evolution

of the original lego storytelling that

bionicle helped establish at its core

ninjago is a swashbuckling fantasy about

six young adults growing up and learning

the skills necessary to save the world

from the forces of evil but beyond that

it's a story of a father and his son and

their strained relationship as both find

themselves on the opposite side of the

moral spectrum ninjago represents the

struggles of adolescents growing pains

of maturity in dealing with the emotions

that come with building relationships

forming close bonds and even learning

when to let go of those bonds and deal

with loss or grief it's a show that's

resonated well with children of many

ages for very real reason and it's

because of these reasons that the choice

to make this team the next to mean like

a movie entry becomes clear

Ninjago is

those most popular original theme it was

initially created with a three-year run

in mind before being extended through

the sheer willpower of its fanbase and

their parents who called in through the

lego support line to voice their

concerns over the themes cancellation so

if you're a casual moviegoer wondering

why lego chose to make a movie about

some silly ninja cartoon instead of Star

Wars think about what led up to this

moment the lego movie had a large impact

towards building the foundation on which

the lego group could tell any story they

wanted to it got the general consumers

to buy into the lego movie brand like a

batman movie rewarded that consumer by

providing a fun adventure with the

character that are already familiar with

and now it's time for Lego to share

their own story to tell the tale that

they built up for years to a new

audience in hopes that maybe they can

start to feel the same love for this

world and it's wacky cast of characters

just as much as a ninjago fans have

these past few years with electron in

jogging movie

the gloves are finally often I couldn't

Roadmap for K-12 Math Curriculum - Duration: 6:15.

Good morning this is Dr. Pan recording live from

Tucson, Arizona. As a child who

struggled in math, I remember feeling frustrated

and lost without knowing I was learning

and how ir all fit in together. I remember

crying over the homework and I remember

the knot in my stomach whenever a test comes around.

So behind me, you can see I have a

k-12 roadmap. Together, we

take a journey and it's my sincere hope

that this would help you and your child. To start with,

let's have an overview.

There are 5 major milestones.

k-3rd, 3rd-5th and

6-10th, 11th - 12th and 12th and

onward. The transition points are very important.

Well, let's take a look at each one of them. Starting with

k-3rd. Here, we have addting, subtracting and

of course, multiplication table. Later on, I will

have another clip on how to deal with mulitiplication

table the most powerful way, so you can avoid the

memorization all together. Moving on the next transition point.

We have long division, decimals and percent.

Now, all this is going to lead

to fraction. Fraction is one of the most

important mathematic concept introduced

in Arithmetics. The next transition

point is 6th- 10th

grades. Now, 6th grade is particularly

difficult for lots of students for several reaaons.

One, mathematically, it's the first time

words problems are introduced. Word problems are

application of the material kids have been learning so far.

Ratios and fractions - they all come into play.

And socially, lots of students start to

going away from the primary school, growing into

the next stage where social tension is getting

more difficult for lots kids to manage.

So, if you have a 6th grader or

one who's going to 6th grade, you really want to pay attention

to help ease that transition. Now, mathematically,

after 6th grade, 7th and 8th grades

are all pre-algebra. Lots of students moving into

Algebra one. Algebra 1 is actually the

where all the Fun stuff start to happen.

It's the rubber meets the road, sort of speaking.

Quadratic Equation here describes the

flight path of a football, for example. Exponents,

can tell us the interests rate for morgage payment

System of equations can help us model

a lot of real life situations.

Unfortunately, Geometry got stuck in between

Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. The reason is that

Algebra 1 and Geometry are both needed for

SAT and ACT.

To do well, both classes materials are needed.

So students who return for Algebra2

do lose a little bit of momentum. So you want to

pay attention to that. Now, moving onto the next

milestone. 11th- 12th

Those classes,

Algbra2 and Trig/preCal are the gateway math

leading up to Calculus.

For students who are interested in Science, Engineering

sometimes, law schools, and of course, medical fields

or veterinary schools, this is a must.

They have to pass this. Like I said earlier,

Algebra 2 students do lose a little bit of momentum

because Algebra 1 was taken a year or two ago.

All right. Onto our last one.

12th - college grades.

Calculus 1 or 2. In our high school

system, Calculus 1 is the Calculus AB and

after Calculus 1, you

have Calculus BC. Very few students get into

the multi-variable, which is Calculus 3. But if you do,

that child's application to college

is really on top of the pile.

THere you have it. So, here is the

milestone map. Here is a quick re-cap: you want to

pay attention to the transition points. After the 3rd grade,

and somewhere between 3rd and 4th grade, you want to pay attention.

6th grade is a critical one. And for students

who are in High schools, you want to pay attention right around

Algebra to Geometry transition. I have been teaching math

since 2003. From past experience,

there are two major points

that I want to share with you. The first point is:

Math is different than any other

subject in that it is

sequential. So one topic is built on

top of the other. Without succeeding in the fundational

ones, the top of the building blocks will crumble.

For example, if a child comes in for

Algebra 1's Quadratic problem. If you really trace

it back, it's probably going to be related to

something in Fraction. Without addressing Fractions problems

first, any help you give in

Algebra 1 is going to be hollow. So the thing to do is

not rushing through, fixing

Algebra problems. Instead, make sure you

talk to a teacher, a math coach or a math tutor

ask what fundation problems

were not addressed properly. Address those first.

The second thing is that math is like

a language. It should be treated as so. To learn a

foreign language, you need to practice daily.

And you need to have a good feedback. Even though

math is more than just a grade, the way you

can spot upcoming trouble is through test scores.

If your child consistenly gets above 90s,

everything is fine; between 80 - 90,

you may have some test-taking problems, a small one maybe; but

between 70 and 80,

there's some fundation 'holes'. Below 70,

that is really a warning sign.

Having dealt with my own math struggle,

and gone through the frustration, and then able to experience

the freedom to pursue the space telescope design program

here at UA, I want all my students

to have the same freedom to pursue

their own passion. So there, you have it!
