Wrinkles are inevitable. Repetition of facial expressions causes lines and creases in the
face over time. In addition, exposure to free radicals in the environment, smoking, overexposure
to the sun, stress, weight loss and improper diet can cause wrinkles.
There are dozens of over-the-counter products and cosmetic injections that aid in the reduction
of wrinkles. But why buy those when there are so many homemade wrinkle-removal remedies
that cost much less than a trip to a plastic surgeon?
There must be as many homemade wrinkle-removal recipes as there are name-brand products.
Trial and error is the best approach to find which ingredients works best on your skin.
Fortunately, home remedies are not expensive.
Honey Honey gets high marks from people who have
used it to treat wrinkles. Spread a thin layer over the skin and wait 25 to 30 minutes. Rinse
with warm water, then rub an ice cube over the skin.
Bananas Mash two bananas into a creamy consistency.
Smooth over the face and let sit for 30 minutes. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.

found in most health food stores. It can also be used to treat depression and anxiety, and
heal wounds. Many people swear by coconut oil, saying they
see results immediately. Massage warmed coconut oil on wrinkles at bedtime. It is rather messy,
but the results are soft, smooth skin. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects
cells from free radicals. Using a clean pin, puncture three Vitamin E capsules and empty
into a bowl. Add 2 tsp. of plain yogurt, ½ tsp. honey and ½ tsp. lemon juice. Apply
to the face using a cotton ball. Let dry for 10 minutes and rinse.
You can also pierce one Vitamin E capsule and rub the gel on your face and let dry,
then swallow the remaining capsule. It will fight free radicals inside and out.
Diet A diet rich in fresh, colorful fruits and
vegetables, and whole grains gives the skin a healthy, wrinkle-free glow. Supplements
such as flax seed oil and vitamins C and D are excellent wrinkle-diminishing aids.
Don't forget to drink plenty of water. At least eight glasses of water per day will
keep the skin moist and hydrated.
Tips Use only fresh fruit in these recipes, and
don't store mixtures made with fruit. Bacteria forms in fruit as it ripens and can irritate
the skin. Always wash your face with very warm water
before using one of the remedies. The warm water opens the pores in the skin.
