How to have sex for the first time ? If it's your first time having sex, you probably have
loads of questions on your mind, but you may not feel comfortable talking about them. And
that's totally normal. To put your mind at ease, we've compiled a list of some of
the really important stuff you should know before,during, and after doing the deed.
This can help if: You've just started thinking more about
sex You're curious about sex
You feel ready to have sex for the first time
Get the deets before getting in the sheets So, you've decided that you're ready to
have sex for the first time. Good for you! If you're going to have a healthy relationship
with sex, it's important that you're responsible about it and you've got all the important
info that you need to practice safe sex: It hardly seems fair, but you can contract
a sexually transmitted infection even if it's your first time having sex. Make sure you
use condoms or dams to protect yourself. Check out our contraception fact sheet for more
info on having safe sex. If you're a guy and girl having vaginal sex,
you can also get pregnant your first time (or get someone pregnant). So again, make
sure you understand contraception and choose the right one for you before you have sex.
What to expect? Pain? If you've heard about the pain that
comes with losing your V-plates, the idea of getting freaky might totally freak you
out. But don't believe everything you hear - some people find their first time having
sex to be really comfy, fun, and enjoyable. For others, it does feel uncomfortable, and
it can hurt. What to do: If you do experience pain during
sex, you might not have enough lubrication, you may need to try a different sexual position,
or ask your partner to slow down. It could also be from a lack of desire or arousal,
or feeling nervous about having sex. If it hurts a hell of a lot, stop. It shouldn't
be super painful, so talk to your partner about ways you can make sex more comfortable.
If it's really concerning you, have a chat to your GP.
What the hymen? For women, there can be bleeding the first time they have vaginal sex if their
hymen ruptures. It's normal to bleed and it's equally normal not to bleed.What to
do: If you do bleed, it shouldn't last long, but if it continues, visit your GP.
Fireworks? Let's blame Hollywood and porn for making us believe that sex is always going
to blow your mind. Our sexpectations are sky-high and as a result, we might find that we're
sometimes disappointed with reality. What to do: Like most things, it takes practice.
If one or both of you aren't experiencing the magic, don't stress too much. It takes
time to work out what you and your partner likes and it's pretty common to not have
an orgasm during sex, especially the first few times. Keep the lines of communication
open and let each other know what you're into and what you're not so into.
Awkward? Having sex for the first time, like anything you do for the first time, is kind
of like trial and error. There are limbs everywhere and strange sounds you've never heard before.
What to do: Tell that tumbleweed it's not welcome. Go into it ready to have a laugh,
and those awkward instances won't seem like such a big deal. It might be that you're
nervous, in which case you should take some deep breaths to help you relax and ease into
it. If the awkwardness is overwhelming, you might want to stop and chat to your partner
so that you feel more comfortable about everything.
The aftermath After having sex for the first time, you might
be feeling a bunch of different things. It's not uncommon to feel:
Worried or guilty Confused
Extra affectionate Excited
Sex is a personal way to feel close to someone, so it's understandable if you experience
intense feelings post sex. If you're worried about the feelings you're having, talk it
through with your partner or someone you can trust, like a good friend, family member or
a counsellor.

All's well that ends well as Steve Stricker qualifies for U.S. Open in his native Wisconsin - Duration: 3:48.
Call him the sentimental favorite at the U.S. Open.
Steve Stricker is happy to carry that label. The 50-year-old Wisconsin native wanted desperately to be in the field next week at Erin Hills when the USGA's marquee event is played for the first time in his home state.
And after shooting round of 67-65 at the Sectional Qualifier at Ridgeway Country Club and Germantown Country Club outside of Memphis, he got his wish, earning medalist honors while grabbing one of nine spots available for the 104 player field.
"It was a good day. It means a lot," said Stricker, who'll be playing in his 20th Open, but his first since 2014.
"It's been at the forefront of my thinking for a while now. It's kind of a relief know I got in on my own terms. I went through qualifying. I'd rather have it that way. I'm glad I did it this way.".
Indeed, all's well that ends well for the 2017 U.S. Presidents Cup captain, but it wasn't from a lack of effort. Stricker initially petitioned the USGA to seek a special exemption into the championship, a measure generally reserved for previous U.S.
When his request was denied, Stricker knew the only way to fulfill his dream was to play his way into the field.
So for the past several weeks, Stricker has worked on his game, competing in PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions events while his focus actually being June 5 and the 36-hole qualifier in Tennessee.
It wasn't just Stricker who was happy with the results, but the USGA as well.
"Having Wisconsin's own Steve Stricker qualify for this year's U.S. Open at Erin Hills is really special," said USGA executive director Mike Davis in a statement on Monday evening.
"He will bring an enormous amount of energy to the U.S. Open's first trip to Wisconsin and will no doubt be a fan favorite for his fellow Wisconsinites.
Steve demonstrated his golf skills and competitive spirit in qualifying at Memphis earlier today. We congratulate his great play!".
Stricker wasn't the only veteran tour pro who dug deep on Monday to earn his spot into the U.S. Open. Stewart Cink shot a 68-66 at the Sectional Qualifier in Columbus, Ohio, to earn a spot in his 20th U.S.
The 44-year-old had to skip an attempt at qualifying for last year's Open at Oakmont after learning only two months earlier that his wife, Lisa, had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
You know, its been a tough thing," Cink said. "I was not in competitive form last year.
We were right in the midst of Lisas treatment, and we were focused on that, so I didnt even try to qualify. To come back this year and get through successfully, it really means a lot to me.".

This afternoon I've been in Barkerend and the thing that keeps cropping up is Education
I know it well because my wife was a teacher at the primary school just around the corner
Labour wants to increase funding to pay teachers more
but the problems run much deeper than pay
The curriculum forces schools to focus on things like
the difference between a fronted adverbial and a subordinating conjunction
Kids sit exams and feel like failures other things that just don't matter
As your MP, I'll push for education to prepare our kids for the future instead
where productivity and success are going to depend far more on creativity and character than obscure facts
and this may address the problem we have in keeping and attracting great teachers
and maybe even tempt some of those great teachers we've lost to come back into the profession

Some parties want to build far more, but what that means here is ripping up trees and concreting over fields
We all know we need more homes, but did you know we already have loads of unused, empty houses
If fact apart from London and Birmingham, Bradford has more than anywhere else in the country
and that's not counting all the derelict sites we're blessed with in Bradford
As your MP I'll be pushing for fair and affordable homes
but reusing all those empty houses and transforming those derelict sites first
and where we do build making developers invest more in local services and infrastructure
so as well as building houses we're also improving the whole area
