Successful Motor Sport New Zealand awards ceremony for South Canterbury - Duration: 4:12.

Successful Motor Sport New Zealand awards ceremony for South Canterbury

Chris Dunn, Leo Leonard, Carl Rabbidge and Wayne Murdoch with their awards from the Motor Sport New Zealand awards evening. It was a successful weekend for South Canterbury Car Club members at the Motor Sport New Zealand Awards last weekend.

Carl Rabbidge, Chris Dunn, Leo Leonard and Wayne Murdoch were all recognised with different awards, while Geraldines Hayden Paddon also bagged a prize.

Leonard and Murdoch received Historical Heritage Awards, Rabbidge was given the Award of Merit and Chris Dunn a Distinguished Service Award.

Paddon claimed the Rally Founders trophy for the seventh time for his success in 2016 but was unable to attend, so asked Norman Oakley to claim the award on his behalf.

South Canterbury Car Club president Kevin Pateman said it was an awesome achievement for the SCCC members. Its fantastic to see they have been recognised for all their hard work.

Leo, Carl and Wayne have virtually been involved since the tracks inception in 1967, while Chris came about later on but his family was involved from the start.

Pateman said having four people gain recognition shows that the hard work a number of people do for the club doesnt go unnoticed.

Theres efforts wont go unnoticed and its great theyve come this year as were preparing to celebrate 50 years of Levels, later this year, Pateman said. It gives the younger competitors and administrators some people to look up to and follow.

Look at Hayden and how well hes done, it shows opportunities are there. Dunn said he was overwhelmed to have been recognised for his services to the sport.

It was a huge honour. I certainly didnt expect it.. It was certainly a nice surprise for me to have been recognised in some way.

Chris Dunn, who has had a huge involvement with both the 2K Cup and the South Island Endurance Series for a number of years, said the award was a real highlight. Its easily the best award I have won with motor racing.

Dunn has been involved with motor racing for 27 years, first starting in 1990, when he competed for the first time. Yeah definitely, when you get an award like this its certainly something you cherish.

He said it was a great evening enjoyed by all and it was superb to see so many other South Cantabrians be given awards.

It was great seeing Wayne and Leo get recognised but also Reg Cook and Inky Tulloch, guys who I grew up watching.

Also having Shane (Van Gisbergen) and Hayden (Paddon) get awards shows that theres a big following of motor sport in New Zealand. South Canterbury Car Club member Karen Paddon won the Distinguished Services Award in 2015.

My Love for Home & What Homes Means to Me - Duration: 7:00.

Hi! How are you? Give me a hug. Oh, come on in, I'm so excited to see you!

Can I get you anything to drink? Do you want any coffee, water, tea, wine... seltzer?

Yea, seltzer? Okay, I love a good bubble, too. I'll get you some seltzer. Oh, do you

just mind taking your shoes off? I'm so sorry... It's a shoes off house.

I know... but, yeah... thank you. Really appreciate it. Okay, so I'll let you get

settled here... and I'm gonna head into the kitchen grab us some drinks and I'll

meet you in the living room so we can sit down and have a little chitty-chat.

Okay, I'll see you in a minute.

Thank you again so much for coming today.

I'm so happy that we get to have this little chat and get to tell you a

little bit more about why I have such a love for home and really what home means

to me. I'm often asked where this career started for me and I seem to always

start to tell the story after college when I was asking myself what I was

really most passionate about and what was really going to bring me the

fulfillment I was looking for in a career. However... haha... like I'm sure many of you

I decided to ask myself that question after college... and not before college... haha, but

I guess to be fair a lot of stuff changes between the beginning of college

and after college and what we know about ourselves. So, you know give myself a

little leeway on that... haha.. but, um, truly when I look back now on my life I can see

that this all began decades earlier for me. I mean, since I was a child I have had

a passion for all of the domestic elements that go into making a home. So

much so that there was a point in my life where I actually told my friends I

just wanted to be a stay-at-home dad... haha... and not because I wanted to stay home, but

because I loved creating and caring for a home and the people within it. And, it

was really the best way I could put my finger on exactly what made me happy.

When I think about the organizing, and the decorating, and the cooking, and the

cleaning, and the entertaining, and the habits, and the routines, and all that

stuff that goes into making a warm and welcoming environment of a home

that was until this day still is something I get truly excited about and

just have this innate passion for. I mean, I've always loved learning all of those

things and trying to figure out ways to really make them better in my life, as

well as other people's lives. And I just think from the people within it to the

physical environment itself a home is an incredibly special place.

I actually really like to look at our homes as a big blank canvas that becomes

an expression of our lives. When we think about all the things that we bring into

a home... the furniture, the art, the plants, the lighting, the heirlooms, the memories,

all of that stuff... all the way down to the dishes and the utensils... it all

becomes an expression of ourselves. It tells the story of who we are, where

we've been, where our families have been, and I think even ultimately who we

want to be and where we want to go. And then we all, you know, we all take those

items that we've brought in and we curate them very differently in our homes...

on our canvases... to really be that expression of ourselves. To be the home

that we want. The home to keep us warm, keep us safe, and inspire us for tomorrow.

And, we also get to choose who we want to share that expression with and how we

want to share with people. It's an incredibly intimate and special

thing. It's something I've always been fascinated by and really happy that I've

been able to help other people with. When I think about what home means to me...

it really has always been my sanctuary, as I'm sure it has been for many of you,

too. It's been that rock and that stability that, that place that

foundation, of the place that I can retreat to at the end of the day to

restore myself, to rest, so that I can go back out and continue to march on. That's

something that I've been very grateful for and lucky to have had... and, um...

something that I've really cherished throughout my life. It's also something

that I've been very happy to bring to other people's lives as well. Gosh, it's

been almost 10 years now that I've been bringing my passion to life through my

organization and design business. Helping my clients to really create more of a

complete home. I've helped them to move, declutter, organize, decorate, design custom,

closets, plan parties, and really just find simple solutions that make everyday

life better and make their homes work better for them. It's really been a dream

come true to bring my skills and this passion to life in this way to help

people. I've even been so blessed to have been able to touch millions of other

people's lives through the work that I've done on TV, in newspapers, magazines,

and online... through working with people like Dr. Oz, Good Morning America,

being a regular guest on Katie Couric's talk-show, O Magazine, Real Simple

Refinery29, Brit + Co... all the way to my column in Good Housekeeping magazine...

it's truly been an honor to be a part of all of that and to touch so many people.

You know for some time now I wanted to share more of the tips and ideas and all

of this fun stuff that I love on a regular basis... which is why we're here

today... to begin the journey of sharing all of that. Starting from the ground up

by telling you more about me, as well as my love for home. I'm really looking

forward to sharing how my ideas come together and how they work in our lives

as well as our homes... whether it be my own home or someone else's... because for me

this work has never been about just organization and design... it's always been

about a lifestyle. Now, before you go today, I'd love to hear what home means

to you, too! Please, let me know in the comments section below so we can continue

this discussion about what home means to each of us. And, two final things... one

don't forget to hit that subscribe button so you don't miss an invitation

to come over in the future! I don't ever want you to feel left out. Plus, next

week I'm going to be sharing a little bit more and giving you a home tour.. and,

finally don't forget to give me a thumbs up if you enjoyed this video and you're

looking forward to more videos coming your way soon. Thanks again so much for

stopping by. It was so good to see you and have this little chat. I'll see you soon.

Introducing Ericom Shield for Secure Browsing - Duration: 1:58.

Meet Joe CISO, the information security professional responsible for the protection of the organization

from all cyber threats, including web-borne attacks.

A thrilling job, except that traditional solutions are no longer effective

in blocking the multiple risks originating through unsafe web browsing.

Antivirus, secure web gateways, and firewalls

each focuses on its own detection and remediation approach

after the threat has already breached the network and perhaps even executed…

TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE!

The complexity and volume of new threats launched daily, is making Joe CISO constantly keep

products and versions up-to-date, but this is no longer enough – far from it.

This endless update effort involves dependence on operating systems, extreme hardware requirements,

IT overhead, and inferior user experience.

A new approach is a must!

Joe CISO knows that the stakes are high.

It's time to eliminate those threats early on.

This is exactly what Ericom Shield takes care of — PREVENTION!

Instead of solely relying on threat detection and remediation

it sends web traffic on a detour.

Ericom Shield executes a dedicated virtual browser for each user's browsing session.

The virtual browser launches in an isolated environment outside the network,

ensuring that no malware can penetrate or reach the endpoint.

The end user views the web content as a visual stream, free of malware.

Web-borne threats are contained and disarmed remotely.

And above all, there's a seamless user experience, supported by all operating systems and devices.

Finally, Joe CISO has a real solution that keeps the organization free from web-borne threats

while allowing the business to operate as usual.

Ericom Be Connected, Be Secure
